Summary – Grimlock is grateful to Optimus for freeing him and his Dinobots but soon realizes he wants much more from the Autobot commander and sets out to win his spark.
Two Lonely Souls
Chapter 1
Optimus Prime had taken out Harold Attinger and had destroyed Lockdown saving Cade. His own emotions were running high; he had lost dear friends and comrades because of the humans that either betrayed him or plain did not care for their race.
Optimus thought back to seeing his friend's bodies in the KSI labs, and it made his energon boil. However, then he thought of Cade Yeager and how he and his family went far beyond their capabilities to protect him.
And, it brought a smile to the lonely disillusioned Autobot commander, he could trust some humans, and that made him feel better.
Optimus didn't realize Grimlock was eying him when he went for a walk, nor did he realize he was following him.
Grimlock followed closely behind Optimus. Grimlock did not say a word at first. He noticed Optimus was headed for a secluded area, and Grimlock smirked as he realized his luck now. When the leader of the Dinobots was sure, no one was around then, and only then did he make his move on the Autobot commander and Prime.
Grimlock didn't say a word at first, just grabbed Optimus, which caused Optimus' legs to thrash around automatically, making the Prime become tense for battle.
"Come, not say twice," Grimlock growled as Optimus froze.
"Grimlock? What's wrong?" Optimus asked, not sure that he wanted the question answered or not.
Grimlock rubbed his face against Optimus and started of all things purring.
"Me Grimlock want to say me grateful to Optimus Prime, you Grimlock's best friend or... maybe Grimlock want more," the leader of the Dinobots said as his purring became so loud that Optimus smiled to himself as Grimlock held him like he was truly precious to him.
Then Grimlock's words hit him like a blast to the chest. Did he hear right? Was Grimlock asking him to be more than a friend?
"Grimlock, what is it that you would like from me?" Optimus asked.
Grimlock was silent at first. He unexpectedly was scared; what if Optimus didn't want him? What if he didn't want a Dinobot for a mate?
"Share sparks... Me Grimlock want mate others think Grimlock brute and stupid," Grimlock answered; his tone sounded so defeated to Optimus.
The Dinobot's words made Optimus's spark hurt Grimlock was so special, but he just didn't understand that in his own way, he was special. Optimus ran his digits over Grimlock's face and nodded.
"We can be spark mates if that is what you're asking me, but you have to be gentle because I am very small compared to you. Do you understand what I am saying?" Optimus asked.
"Yes, Grimlock understand gentle with Prime," Grimlock said as he just held Optimus and then sat on the ground just holding Optimus just like he was the most precious being in the whole universe to him.
Something that made Optimus' optics leak coolant that he was special to this leader because, in all honesty, they were both two very lonely beings looking possibly for the same thing.
Acceptance and love

Optimus had been resting. He was tired; actually exhausted was more like it. He onlined to feel Grimlock curled near him. The Autobot smiled then as he tried to turn over; Optimus found he couldn't because Grimlock had a firm hold on him.
Optimus felt Grimlock stir slightly then.
"Grimlock?" Optimus questioned.
Grimlock started to purr once more, and Optimus was lost as he felt Grimlock roll over onto his back, taking Optimus with him. Grimlock started to caress Optimus' hips gently, and then his pelvis purposely dragging it out.
Optimus shuttered his optics as he felt Grimlock slide a metal digit into his valve. Optimus was lost then as his energon ran like hot magma within his body.
"Yes, more," Optimus moaned as he arched into what Grimlock was doing to him.
Grimlock watched Optimus' actions then.
"Grimlock is doing good?" he asked.
"Y….Yes," Optimus moaned.
"You are mine, Optimus Prime, and you belong to me Grimlock…. MINE!" Grimlock said with such possessiveness that it sent chills and more all through his body. "Say it, Optimus Prime!" Grimlock ordered as he rammed several more digits into the Prime's valve, making him gasp.
"Y….Yes," he managed to say as another digit ripped into his valves stretched him so wide, now making the young Prime gasp once more.
"Yes, what?" Grimlock demanded, going deeper.
"I….I belong to you and …. Only you," Optimus said as his hips were arching as Grimlock proceeded to make Optimus overload until he shut down from the multiple overloads that overtook him.
"Never forget that me Grimlock mark you no one can touch you whether for pleasure or pain only me Grimlock can touch you. Me, Grimlock, kill anyone who hurts you, sleep now, Optimus,"
Optimus needed no further encouraging Grimlock eased Optimus against him, Optimus' helm down against his chest plates.
On a destroyed Cybertron….
A Cybertronian femme floated in the air; her bright purple optics blazed with fury.
"Lockdown failed me; we can not free the master with Optimus Prime in the way. So, my pet, we must go to Earth and imprison him, and anyone who has aligned themselves with him," she replied as a massive, deadly-looking mech walked up.
The femme known as Quintessa set the Ground bridge for Earth to make sure that Optimus did not stand in the way of her goals.

However, on Earth, the time has passed considerably, and Grimlock held Optimus against his open chest plates, merging his spark with the young Prime. Optimus had thrown his helm back, roaring in ecstasy as his spark was entangled with Grimlock's. Grimlock held Optimus close but firmly as his spike cable sank into Optimus, stretching his valve wider and wider. While Grimlock held Optimus steady, Optimus shouted several times as his steady overloads hit him.
Grimlock wouldn't stop; he liked watching his mate overloading with such a potent force.
"Grimlock, want you overloading more, Optimus," Grimlock ordered as he pumped harder, making Optimus' optics shutter as his body was pumped harder by Grimlock.
Optimus' spark tightened with Grimlock's, and Optimus roared once more as his next overload threw him into emergency stasis.
Grimlock pulled out of Optimus' valve, but he kept his spark wrapped around the Prime's spark.
"Me Grimlock want you sparked, Optimus," Grimlock said as his spark tightened as Optimus moaned in his stasis. "Yes, you mine," Grimlock said as Optimus keened as Grimlock tightened his spark once more on Optimus'.
Grimlock didn't care that Optimus was smaller than him; he had beaten him in battle. He was strong.
Grimlock got his Prime.
Grimlock knew now Optimus Prime was his now.
His.
All his.
He would protect what belonged to him, and if anyone dared to hurt what belonged to him.
He would kill to protect what belonged to him.
Optimus' optics onlined he realized he was still in his mate's hold, and Optimus smiled as he thought back to the night's events. His spark raced and pulsed with excitement and love at the mere thought of Grimlock now.
He loved Grimlock.
"Me Grimlock think Optimus thinking about Grimlock," the Dinobot leader said.
"Guilty as charged," Optimus said with a smile.
Grimlock heard someone coming and growled; this alerted Optimus to the fact someone was near.
"Boss, Cade said William Lennox, and Epps are here," Hound said.
Optimus sighed, but he was also concerned. The ones he had thought were allies wanted him and his Autobots exiled. He didn't know if he could trust these humans yet; Optimus had been betrayed, and he was concerned.
"Me, Grimlock, think mate is scared," Grimlock said.
"I am concerned, yes, Grimlock, these humans have betrayed me once before aside from Cade Yeager. I do not know if I can trust them now," Optimus said.
Grimlock rose to his pedes, holding Optimus close. Optimus found the action endearing, and he loved Grimlock for the protectiveness he held for him.
"Grimlock, protect his mate,"
"Thank you, Grimlock," Optimus said as Lennox and Epps walked up, and Grimlock gently put Optimus down onto his pedes.
"Optimus, look, you broke our government's rules when you came back; you had been exiled from our planet. Do you understand now why that government group is after you?" Lennox said as Optimus narrowed his optics, his spark twisting within its chamber.
Optimus interrupted the soldier he once called a friend and ally.
"And, do you understand they slaughtered MY friends and family when I tried to reason with them in the name of peace," Optimus growled.
"We are trying to help you!" Lennox shouted.
"No, you aren't; if we had a way off this planet now, trust me, we would be gone," Optimus remarked sourly.
"Then find a way, because we can't hold them back much longer; they want your head on a silver plater and are willing to side with anyone to do it," Lennox said as Optimus looked hurt for a moment then shook it off.
Everything he did for this planet, and he gets this treatment. He looked away, his spark twisted within its chamber, while movement caught his optics as he watched the two men walk away.
Now, what was he supposed to do?
Grimlock had picked up Optimus and walked away with him; his mate was hurting, and Grimlock growled down deep in his throat. He had to help him in any way that he could. Grimlock took him to a private area not to interface as the others thought.
No, Grimlock knew Optimus needed his help in other ways other than interfacing. Grimlock was smarter than others gave him credit for. Grimlock sat down, just holding the Prime and letting him vent his pain.
"Me, Grimlock, say let the pain out,"
Optimus felt Grimlock stroke his back struts then.
"I trust the humans only to have them betray me over and over again," Optimus said. "They had exiled us when Sentinel betrayed us. They feel we are all dangerous. I just wanted a home for my people. Humans are no different from the Decepticons only they are flesh and blood." Optimus said as he glanced away.
Grimlock held Optimus close as Optimus found himself holding on to Grimlock tighter. His metal digits gripped Grimlock's armor. He glanced up at his mate with love in his optics for him. Grimlock was far from stupid like he believed he was. No, the leader of the Dinobots was smart and compassionate and wanted love just like Optimus did.
Most of all, he wanted to be accepted by others. They both did.
But humans would not accept their race he knew that now so now he had to find a way to get the rest of his remaining troops, his mate and his Dinobots off this planet forever. He wanted Cade and his family to come with him.
They protected them.
They deserved to be with them now.
Hound walked up and coughed.
"Boss, I picked up a signal heading for Earth," Hound said.
Optimus glanced at Hound then his optics wide and shining bright.
"Who?" Optimus asked.
Hound smiled then as he puffed on his metal cigar.
"Magnus, Wheeljack and they got the big guy," Hound said as Optimus' mouth opened to say something but he was too shocked to speak.
"It's Omega, boss," Hound said.
"Send a message telling him to meet at a secure location. We are leaving this planet, let the humans fight their own battles," Optimus ordered as he spoke again. "Please tell Cade his daughter and her mate, they are coming with us." Optimus ordered as they all heard a female voice.
"You are leaving this planet?" Quintessa asked.
Optimus snarled as his energon boiled knowing exactly who this was.
"What do you want Quintessa?" Optimus demanded.
"I thought I was going to have to get rid of you to release Unicron," she remarked as she realized her mistake when she said the dark God's name.
"No one releases the Chaos Bringer," Optimus snarled as he went after Quintessa faster than she could ever realize.
"Me Grimlock, help mate!" Grimlock said as he torched Infernacous and tore the evil mech apart.
While Optimus took care of Quintessa, while not doing it for Earth. He did it for the universe Unicron was evil pure evil. He was a Prime and had to protect all life. Hound and Drift watched their leader as they held the three humans in their metal hands.
Optimus was a survivor. He always would be, but he was hurt and he wanted his people accepted. They knew humans would never truly accept them. Optimus nor the others had any idea that Lennox and Epps were watching, seeing for themselves how much Optimus had changed now.
The two soldiers realized what was happening to Optimus they had seen it happen before in soldiers they were with.
Post traumatic stress disorder
Lennox sighed. What had they done?
They followed them as Hound told Optimus Omega was there with the others who were still alive. Cade, Tessa and Shane wanted to go with them, so they had brought what they could with them.
Lennox watched as Grimlock held Optimus so close against his body. He realized the Cybertronian T-Rex loved Optimus and his own heart went out to Optimus. He patted Epps on the shoulder. Optimus was happy now. He knew it in his soul and heart. This was what the leader wanted now.
"He's happy now. Let them go and let's keep Cemetery Wind and others busy while they leave," Lennox said as Epps understood and nodded as he and Lennox watched the ship take off.
It was a massive ship.

Optimus and Grimlock disappeared into their own quarters and everyone disappeared when they heard loud moans and sudden screams from Optimus as his mate continued to spark merge with him.
It didn't take Grimlock long before he had sparked Optimus, making the Dinobot leader proud and happy. Optimus on the hand would be sparked for over a year, and during that time he wanted interfacing constantly and Grimlock was all too happy to provide.
When Optimus did have the sparkling she resembled Grimlock and Optimus both, and both mates settled on the name Gemstar but Gemmie for short.
Optimus Prime and Grimlock were both happy and content, because they were loved and accepted now together.
Moral of the story - Don't judge someone because they are different from you, you might find out you are missing out on someone who could be a best friend, lover or just a friend.
Think with your heart not what others do or say out of fear or ignorance.
