Chapter 1: A new mission

It has been a year since I have been made an official member of the Avengers. The year is 2017 of March 20th. It is also a month and a couple of weeks till my next birthday which I will be turning 15. My parents/family have been training me hard for my next mission. One day I was busy training with my family when I got a phone call. I picked up the call and saw that it was my dad, Peter Quill.

"Hey Lana, What's up, are you busy right now?" Quill asked me. "I'm just training right now, what's up dad, did you need me for something?" I asked him. "Yeah actually I was wondering if you wanted to come on a mission with us, we'd get paid" Quill said. "Sure, I can come just let me tell my other parents" I said. "Okay, we will be there in 30 minutes to pick you up" Quill said.

"Okay dad, see you then" I said. I hung up the phone and looked at my family. "Who was that?" Wanda said. "It was Peter Quill, he was wondering if I wanted to go on a mission with him" I said. "Oh cool, yeah you can go. When will they come?" Wanda said.

"In about 30 minutes so I need to get ready" I said. "Don't you need to pack some stuff?" Katniss said. "I have most of my stuff on the ship, I just need to gather a few things" I said. "Okay, we will be waiting for you" Katniss said. "Okay" I said. I went to my room and picked up a few things. After I packed my stuff up, my husband, Cato walked inside the room. "What do you want Cato?" I snapped.

Cato shocked me and I cried out in pain. "Don't talk to me like that again, understand?" Cato said. My body was shaking as I was nervous. Cato shocked me again. "I said, do you understand?!" Cato yelled. "Yes, Cato" I said. "Good" Cato said. "Why did you want to see me?" I asked. As I was sitting down on my bed, Cato walks over to me and bends down to me and lifts up my chin, forcing me to look at him.

"Listen, now Don't you mess up this mission. If you do then you are grounded and I will remove your privilege of being an avenger" Cato said. "Cato, you can't do that. Only Nick Fury has the power to do that, not you" I said. Cato slapped me hard in the face. "Don't talk back to me!" Cato yelled as he punched me. I cried out in pain as he punched me again. Tears were streaming down my face as he gave me another punch.

Why does he have to be so harsh on me all the time? I was given another punch and another punch. Cato did also give me a few kicks too. After a while of Cato beating me, he lifted up my chin again. "Let me rephrase what I just said. If you mess up this mission, then I will talk to Nick Fury and have him take away your privileges of being an avenger. Do you understand me?" Cato said. "Y-Yes, Cato" I said.

Cato gave me a kiss. "Good girl, now go and get your stuff so we can meet the Guardians of the Galaxy" Cato said. With that, Cato left the room. I sighed and grabbed my backpack and walked out the door to meet my parents. When I got outside, I saw the Guardians of the Galaxy ship parked outside. My dad, Peter Quill walked outside to meet me and my family. "Hey dad" I said. "Hey Lana, ready to go?" Quill said.

"Yeah" I said. "Okay then follow me" Quill said. I nodded and followed Quill inside the ship. When we got inside, I greeted the rest of my parents. I sat down and got comfortable. We took of and flew into the sky and made it into space. I have never been to space before so this is my first time going. "Wow" I said when I looked at the stars. "I think I'm gonna be sick!" Glimmer shouted.

Glimmer then turned her head and threw up. "That's disgusting Glimmer" Marvel said. "What? I couldn't help it" Glimmer said. As Marvel and Glimmer were fighting, I put in my headphones and put on some music to block out the sound. After some time we finally arrived at the planet and Marvel and Glimmer stopped arguing.

When we landed, we all got out of the ship. Rocket walked up to me and put a vest on me with jet packs. "What's this daddy?" I asked him. "It's a pair of jet packs to help you fight this monster we are gonna fight" Rocket said. "Okay" I said. I trancfuranced into my superhero outfit.

I was confused as to why Rocket gave me a pair of jet packs even though I can fly. I didn't really need the jet packs but I might as well try them out to see what they are like. "Showtime A-holes. It will be here any minute" Quill said once we finished getting ready. "Which will be its loss" Gamora said. Gamora loaded up the gun that she was holding. "I thought your thing was a sword?" Quill said.

"We've been higher to stop an interdimensional beast...from feeding on those batteries. And I'm gonna stop it with a sword?" Gamora said. "She does have a point" I said. "It's just, swords were your thing and guns were mine. But I guess we're both doing guns now. I just didn't know that" Quill said. "Drax why aren't you wearing one of Rocket's aeroi rigs?" Gamora said. "It hurts" Drax said. "It hurts?" Gamora said, confused.

"I have sensitive nipples" Drax said. Rocket and I burst out laughing. "My nipples hurt, oh my goodness me!" Rocket said. "What about him, what's he doing?" Drax said. "I'm finishing this so we can listen to tunes while we work" Rocket said. "How's that a prioraty?" Drax said. "Blame Quill and Lana. They are the ones that love music so much" Rocket said. "No, I actually agree with Drax on this one" Quill said. "That's hardly important right now" Drax said.

"Oh okay, sure Quill" Rocket said. "No, seriously, I side with Drax" Quill said. "No, I understand that. You're being very serious right now" Rocket said while winking. "I can clearly see you winking" Drax said. "Damn it, I'm using my left eye" Rocket said. I gasped when I saw my little brother, Groot punching some creatures. "I am Groot" Groot said angrily. "They were not looking at you funny" Rocket said.

We heard some rumbling and I got my weapons out and in my battle stance. I looked at the monster that was coming to attack us. "Well, that's instense" Rocket said. When the monster landed, we all gave our battle cries and charged at the monster. We begin fighting the monster. As we were fighting the monster, Groot started up some music and begin dancing. We continued fighting the monster.

"Groot, get out of the way, you're gonna get hurt!" Gamora shouted. Groot waved at Gamora and I. "Hi" Gamora said. Gamora and I took off again and continued fighting. "No, spit it out, come on" Rocket said when he saw Groot eating a bug. Groot was able to spit the bug out. "Disgusting!" Rocket said.

Rocket continued fighting the monster. I was breaking up some sweat as I was fighting the monster. Fighting this monster was not easy. I was slashing my sword, blasting my firepowers at it, and dodging its attacks while giving battle cries. As Drax was fighting the monster, he landed on the ground and broke the radio, stopping the music. This angered Groot and Groot was punching Drax angrily. Drax ignored Groot and got up.

Gamora landed next to him. "The beast's hide is too thick to be pierced from the outside. I must cut through it from the inside" Drax said. "are you seriously gonna do that? That's gross" Glimmer said. "Says the girl who threw up on the ship" Marvel said. "Shut up, Marvel" Glimmer said. "Drax, no wait a minute" Gamora said. "Father, come back!" I shouted. Drax ignored us and charged into the monster's mouth.

"He's crazy" Johanna said. "What is he doing?" Quill said. "He said the skin is too thick to be pierced from the outside, so he..." Gamora started. "That doesn't make any sence" Quill said. "I tried telling him that!" Gamora shouted. "Skin is the same level of thickness from the inside and outside!" Quill shouted. "I realize that" Gamora said. "There is a cut on its neck. Rocket, get it to look up" Quill said. "I got this" I said.

"Lana, no, it's dangerous" Gamora said. "I'll be fine mom" I said. I flew up towards the monster. "Hey you giant sea-monkey, up here!" Quill shouted. I gave a battle cry and attacked the monster with my sword. "Watch it, Quill!" Rocket shouted. I blasted some fire at the monster. "Woah, Watch it, babe!" Johanna shouted as I nearly missed her. "oops" I said. I looked at the cut on the monster's neck and I looked at Gamora who was charging at it with a sword.

I was thinking the same thing and charged at the monster with my sword. Together, Gamora and I gave our battle cries and cut the monster's cut with our swords. I got some goo on me from the monster but I didn't care. Gamora and I landed on the ground.

I watched with disgust as Drax came out of the monster's body, laughing. "I have single-handedly vanquished the beast!" Drax shouted. I sighed. Groot angrily threw a rock at Drax. "What?" Drax said. "Let's just put our stuff away and get the battires" I said. We walked over to where the batteries were.

At least we are safe now, that we have defeated the monster.
