Chapter 1
It had been a huge day for Terri Sullivan the Nursing Unit Manger of Ward 17 at All Saints hospital because today was the day she found out that a patient was taking her to court, all because she was nice and helped him just like any other patient but he just took it the wrong way which meant that Terri was now sitting in her office with no idea what to do next.
Meanwhile Von looked at Steph knowing the younger nurse had a question she wanted to ask. "Steph what is it?" Steph takes a breath "Terri a mess Von, the only person who ever helped her get through is Peter." Von knew the young nurse had a point "Yeah but he is in Queensland." Steph nods knowing Von is right "Yeah but if he knew what was going on, he would be back here. He would do anything for Terri." Von knew Steph was right and nodded "Ok well you better call him then." Steph smiled relieved that she was about to do the right thing and get Peter help.
In Queensland it wasn't long after Peter had dropped off Laura and Simon at school when he phone rang and he saw Steph called number come on. This immediately made Peter worry as he didn't talk to Steph often. He answered the call "Steph hi." Steph responded back "Hey Peter sorry for calling." Peter could hear the worry in her voice "It is fine. What is it?" Steph took a breath "It's Terri." That alone made Peter worried more as he had only spoken to Terri a week earlier and she was fine "She been taken to court by a patient for no reason." Those words shocked Peter "What since when?" Steph could hear his worry "This morning." Peter immediately grabbed his keys "I will get a friend to look after the kids and get a flight. I will be there as soon as I can." Steph breathed a sigh of relief "I was hoping you would say that." Peter smiled "I'm on my way."
Peter then hang up, made calls to sort out the kids and booked the earlier flight to Sydney.
It was a hour later when Mitch was talking to Von "I'm worried about her Von." Von could see the concern in Terri ex but she already knew Terri would do better after the visitor arrived "It is a shock but she will be fine." Mitch looked at Von "I love her Von. I want to be there for her." Von could see how much Mitch cared "I know you do but she will come to you when she is ready." Mitch just nodded in hopes that Von was right.
It was two hours later when Steph spotted Peter walking into the ward and walked towards him giving him a quick hug "She is her office." Peter smiled at the nurse "Thank you." Steph smiled back and knew in that moment she did the right thing calling Peter.
Peter walked in the office and shut the door. Terri hadn't even looked up "I don't want to see anyone." Peter could hear the worry in her voice "Not even me." Terri looked up and ran over to Peter hugging him. She wasn't expecting to see him but was really happy too because with everything that was happening she needed her best friend "What are you doing here?" Peter looked at Terri "Steph called me. She told me what happened. I'm so sorry." Terri just stays in his arms "I don't want to be alone, I don't want to lose my job." Peter could see tears coming out of Terri eyes and wiped them "You won't be alone, I am not leaving you and Terri your job will be fine too." Terri showed Peter a smile and looked up at him "I missed you so much." Peter kissed Terri forehead "I missed you too." The pair then stayed in each other arms not wanting to let go
