The city of New Orleans admittedly didn't resemble the traditional picture when Thanksgiving came along. The temperature lingered in the mid-seventies with gorgeous azure heavens. Therefore unlike the northern states? New Orleans would be an excellent vacation spot if you yearned for stunning autumn weather without the coming freezing weather.

A small family was strolling merrily through the French Quarter on their way to pick up food for their Thanksgiving feast. The modest family remained the only royals in all of Louisiana. Naveen and Tiana resembled an ordinary couple, as did their precocious five-year-old daughter Jamie. However, they're still royalty, even if they didn't flaunt it.

This year the family had a great deal to be thankful for. However, Tiana knew what she was most grateful for this year. Earlier in the year, she'd been diagnosed with breast cancer. Unfortunately, they'd to perform a mastectomy to save her life. Fortunately, she'd overcome the disease so she could still witness her daughter, Jamie, grow up.

Naveen recognized his wife still felt slightly self-conscious now that she didn't possess any breasts. However, he reminded her each day she was breathing, which remained far more essential then if she'd her bosom.

Tiana smiled cheerfully as her five-year-old daughter hopped ahead of them. Her grandmother Eudora recently sewed her a brand-new light green dress inspired by her mother's princess gown. Jamie had donned a glittering toy tiara nestled between her long ebony braids while clutching tightly to her stuffed Ray doll. Joyfully singing her favorite tune, "Ma Belle Evangeline."

"She indisputable got plenty of spunk today," Tiana noted, to which her husband grinned.

"Yes, she gets that from me, you know," he chuckled while his partner glanced at him with a frown.

"I'm not a killjoy anymore, Naveen. I'm capable of having fun now," she retorted before sighing heavily. "However, I acknowledge she's likely got her spunk from you."

"Well, she's the best of both of us without a doubt. So, consequently, are we just shopping for ourselves? Or do you intend to treat the entire city to Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant?" he inquired curiously.

"I've been contemplating it," she confessed, pausing to gather her thoughts, "You honestly wouldn't mind if we served the entire city Thanksgiving dinner?"

"Tiana, I know you'd prepare a bountiful feast with next to nothing. Given you produced that delicious swamp gumbo for us. We might require several hands, but I sincerely doubt you'd fail to deliver."

"Hmm, we let's give it a few more days before we finalize anything," while she kissed him intensely.

Following their kiss, they immediately panicked when they didn't observe their daughter nearby. Deciding not to lose their heads, they promptly searched for her. They quickly discovered Jamie three blocks ahead. Jamie stood outside a bakery eyeing all the yummy pies on display. "Jamie, please don't run off like that," her mother gently admonished her. The child turned to face her mommy, then hung her head shamefully before apologizing. "Sorry, Mommy. I didn't realize you weren't behind me."

"Well, Tadpole, don't hop away from us again," her father replied, immediately picking her up. "I promise I won't wander off again, Daddy. I swear on Evangeline!" the young princess promised seriously.

"That our good little Tadpole. Now let's gather a few things for Thanksgiving," as her father spun her around once before squeezing her tightly.

"Can we pick up a few pies?" pointing to the pumpkin pies in the window. She practically drooled, looking at them, causing her parents to giggle at how adorable she looked.

"We'll place an order for a few, sweetie. Especially if our Thanksgiving feast is too fed the whole city," her mother answered before nodding towards her husband.

Jamie blinked a few times before asking, "You're going to cook for the entire city? How is there going to be enough turkey?"

Tiana laughed before answering, "Don't worry, Tadpole. We'll have more than enough turkeys moreover ham for everyone. If everyone pitches in, then we'll be able to provide New Orleans that most satisfying Thanksgiving in history."

"Okay, let's spread the word then! I hope Aunt Lottie will be helping us!" the child giggled gleefully, to which her parents nodded in agreement.

Once they got home, they started calling in a few favors. The royal family shortly had virtually all of New Orleans helping prepare the most delicious Thanksgiving feast. Therefore when the holiday rolled around, they had more then enough to feed the city.

Consequently, the entire family that made up this grand city? They all agreed this was the most enjoyable Thanksgiving in history. So much to be thankful for, but just coming together for this meal? That was the thing to be most grateful for!

You aren't for everyone.

Fitting in is overrated. You're not for everyone, don't strive to be.
