So we all know that Jack has a sister, and I always wondered what it would be like if Manny made her a spirit as well. Since his sister's name wasn't mentioned, in this story her name as stated is Ella. Oh! and she has her memories in one piece.I own nothing but my idea!

St. Nicolas also known as Santa Claus the bringer of joy, and wonder, or North as he preferred to be called, was sitting in his large office working on his latest 'creation'.
This latest creation was actually a beautiful pegasus that would spread its wings and fly by pressing one small button
It was late November, and the jolly old man found himself building new sculptures every day for the last few weeks, while the yetis were now actively working with the present preparations
Adding the final detail to the marvellous piece of ice, he held it up high, examining it with a proud expression
...of course this is when his main yeti Phil decided to barge in, startling the Christmas spirit, making him drop the pegasus, smashing it into hundreds of pieces...
North groaned in utter frustration, turning to glare at the large mammal " I ask to knock, do you? no! " he yelled at the unfazed yeti, his thick russian accent dripping in every word.
Rolling his eyes at the man, he grumbled out some words that only a few people could make out " Vhat? Manny want to talk, he know I am busy for Christmas Eve " North sighed making his way to the globe room leaving Phil behind grumbling to himself
" I don't like it, paint it blue " he commented as he passed another yeti that was currently painting helicopters yellow, the white yeti in return let out an angry sigh
Opening the giant double doors, he saw the shining moon rays " Been a while old friend "
" Indeed Nicolas " The Man in Moon replied through North's head, sending shivers down his spine for credit
" Manny you know Christmas Eve is in a month da? " The man in red asked rather impatiently, what was it with Manny and summoning them before the holidays, sure Christmas was still a month away, but did he have the slightest clue how many new toys he was supposed to create, especially after the Pitch problem which was a year and half ago, and with their new guardian Jack Frost, they needed to regain all of their believers back, and to help them believe in the Spirit of Winter in process.
" I do Nicolas, but this is rather important " North heard Manny say, snapping him out of his thoughts, important? what was so important right now, Pitch was still locked up ( down in his case ) in his lair, and there was no threat to the children. So this had to be about something else then, North frowned in thought, the Guardians of Childhood had their usual weekly meeting before yesterday, and there was nothing out of ordinary. ( " I've circled the whole world just yesterday, delivering some early snow, and everything is exactly the same, although there is a new pile of kids in Russia that could actually see me! Can you believe it? " as said by Jack ) so what was this about?
" Do not worry Nicolas, there is no threat- " The old man sighed in relief, but was slightly irritated that Manny had to listen to his thoughts"- but you see, there is this girl about 12-13 I want you and the guardians to meet " Manny explained, while North stared, a new girl? did this mean Manny chose another guardian? and 13-14 did he say? Jack was 14, the two were about the same age. " A new guardian? " he asked his friend suspiciously, why did they need a new guardian? there was no threat? so why need a new one?
" Oh no no no, there is no need for you to have another guardian, You, Sandman, Bunnymund, Toothina, and Jack Frost are enough " The moon answered. Ok ok, good, the guardians grew very fond of their youngest, but they had to admit that the whole ' I'm not a guardian! ' scenario was all to complicating, confusing, and very tiring.
" So vhy meet the girl? "
" The girl has been around for 300 years- " North cringed at that "- but unlike Jack she had no one around, for the first 200 years she hid away for every spirit and spite and she still does, she is not powerful since she is a sprite, but is very lonely indeed "
The jolly man bit his lip, a child alone for so many years, with no one around. The guardians figured that Jack himself wasn't fully alone, after about 10 years give or take, he met the other seasonals, and the four were suprisingly as close as siblings, as the four spirits lived together in a place called ' Seasonal Quarters ', but it still broke their hearts for ignoring him for so long.
" Where is the girl my friend? " he asked again
" Currently in Germany Nicolas, summon the others and send one of them, send one of Toothina's fairies to be exact, since you don't need to give her a heart attack with your sack " Manny laughed and North chuckled
" Will do old friend "
" Goodbye Nicolas "
North activated the Northern lights, calling the Guardians, time to meet this girl.
To say Jack was confused was understandable, he was just having fun with Jamie and his friends when he suddenly saw the Northern Lights, up high, that meant... emergency meeting.
Jack didn't really understand as he waved to his believers, -promising to come by tomorrow to continue their snowball war- and took off asking the Wind to take him to the North Pole
He thought North was busy with Christmas being a month away or so, the man did say something about, new toys to gain believers
As he let the North Wind carry him, his mind flew back to the said believers. He had gained many of those now, almost all the kids in Bergess believed in him, thanks to Jamie and his friends, a few kids in Russia that promised to spread the word, another group in Ukraine, a country close to Russia itself. Basically he had some there and there, and it just felt so right, to be finally seen by... mortals and not just spirits.
As he got closer to his destination, he let the Wind smash open the window, floating in with a grin on his face, it was Bunny who noticed him first " Yer late "
Stupid rabbits and there ' you should always be there on time '. It's not like he had a tunnel that would appear with a tap on a foot and bring him wherever he wants within a minute, he definitely wasn't half hummingbird and definitely did not have wings, and he certainly didn't have a sand cloud, or a sand pirate ship, sand plane... whatever Sandy has. He had the Wind, if the 14 year old wanted, the Wind could bring him wherever he likes within seconds ( BEAT THAT KANGAROO ), though if he did though... the trees might break, and mortals would be flying by now... so hehe.
Maybe he should ask North for a snow globe? And then be the first to come to a meeting and rub it in the freakishly tall rabbit's face! Yup, he'll do just that.
" Good to see you too Cottontail " he said smugly, ' Cottontail ' was about to give him a remark, yet Tooth beat him to it " Hello Sweet Tooth " she chirped enveloping him in a hug ( as if she hadn't seen him just 2 days ago ), Jack quickly stepped aside once she removed her arms off him, he was sure that The Guardian of Memories wouldn't appreciate it when she finds out that he had just eaten chocolate muffins. Holly's ( The Spirit of Sring ) cooking was just too good, and neither Jack, Amelia ( Sprit of Autumn ) nor Eric ( Spirit of Summer ) couldn't resist.
Mental Note: Stay away from Tooth to avoid scolding.
" What's this about? " he asked the three as he waved to Sandy, who happily returned his gesture
" Dunno know mate "
" North still hasn't told us "
" *shrug* "
Jack sighed leaning against his staff, and with that the door opened... no no thundered open, the-big-guy-in-red-with-a-long-white-beard walking in a big smile on his jolly face.
" Glad you come friendz " he bellowed
Only one word could describe their reactions: Confusion
Sandy made pictures with his golden sand above his head as he sipped on his third cup of eggnog
" Ye righ' North, watcha we doin' here eh? " Bunny questioned
" I thought there was an emergency... " Jack trailed off
The biggest of the group burst out laughing
" North! " The tooth fairy scolded sternly waving her finger around in an accusing manner " I specifically only brought Baby Tooth since I thought there was an emergency " she huffed
At the name Baby Tooth came flying out from behind her ' mother ' and right next to the Winter Spirit chirping excitedly.
" Good you bring the fairy " he boomed happily " Manny talk to be today, he want us to meet a girl about 13 "
" A new guardian? " Tooth gasped
" No no! not new guardian "
" oh " the fairy looked slightly disappointed while Bunny looked beyond relief, there was no threat, and no need for a new guardian.
" So mate tel' us why meet' the gir' "
" The girl has been alone for 300 years- " Jack frowned at that "- she lock herself away because she is not sprit but- " North snapped his fingers together trying to remember the conversation with MIM "- ah right! sprite! not powerful " he explained
Jack's felt confused, as far as he remembered, sprites usually worked together and stayed close to their element, he knew for certain that all winter sprites ( there were only 8 ) stayed in Antarctica since really sprites were anything but powerful, the most they could do was make it snow in Antarctica and South Pole, ( While he was in charge of every blizzard snowfall and frost ) summer sprites all stayed in a desert ( as said by Eric ), that was because season sprites couldn't stand each other's nature, and while Jack would sometimes be bothered by the heat or Eric by the cold temperature, they couldn't melt ( or freeze ), and the four seasonal spirits took each others climates just fine.
Point is, he had met every winter, spring, autumn, and summer sprite and they all sticked together, no one was left out.
' Might be some other elemental sprite ' Jack thought with a shrug
' Please not fire ' he silently begged
It was only than that he had realized North was still talking "- he ask to send Baby Tooth to... Germany to bring the girl, said my sack was too much " he grumbled the last part, " That's right " Jack snorted but couldn't help but grin.
St. Nicolas took out a snow globe throwing it " I say Germany Forest " he said loudly as Baby Tooth flew in.
A girl no older than 12 or 13 sat in a forest... somewhere... the girl had long brown hair and light blue eyes... she suddenly shivered as a girl about 7 ran and went right through her, her breath hitched as tears ran down her cheeks... she was scared, very frightened, she didn't know where she really was, or how long it has been since she went to bring some water for the ill people in her village, there was this very strange virus and most of her village has caught it by now.
She remembered that day like it was yesterday...
Flashback
The exact same girl, but with chocolate brown eyes, walked into a small wooden kitchen as her mother called her " Yes mother? " she questioned
Her mother Mary smiled slightly at her daughter, most of the smiles and laughter disappeared after her brother had fallen through the icy lake, the village it self wasn't the same, even the grumpy blacksmith missed the pranks that were now long gone
Mary handed the girl a gray bucket " Ella could you go down the south lake and get us some water? " she asked as a cough was heard from the other side of the room, Ella winced as her father coughed more and more " Of course mother "
Stepping out of the cottage, she felt the now slightly chilly air, it was Semptember and the cold was already spreading.
The girl sighed as the north lake came into view, that was the place her brother drowned at, drowned saving her, the memory was still fresh, even though it happened about 4 years ago
Yet there was a mystery no one figured out in those 4 years, once Jack drowned the hole immediately froze over and only melted in late April, many men dove in, but none could find her brother's body
There was not many fish in the north lake, and the ones that did live in the lake wouldn't eat the skin, let alone the bones, they just wouldn't, and even if they did surely they would see some... signs?
The shepherd stick that was laying on the ice in the afternoon was gone by night, and no one took it since no one dared to go down the lake that day.
Shaking her head to get rid of the thoughts, she walked away from the lake she now hated to the one that was further down
Her mind wandered off to this sickness that was spreading over Bergess... fast.
Most villagers had already caught it... that included her father Robert Overland, the medicine in her town for free for everyone but it wasn't helping much, a village not far away offered some of theirs but it was rather expensive, and not too many could afford it, that again included the Overlands.
With Jackson gone and Robert sick there wasn't much Mary and Ella could do, and while she knew it was wrong she overheard her parents talking on selling her hand to marriage with Richard Burgess who was now 30.
Ella despised the idea itself, she knew that if Jack was still alive that he would argue and end the conversation with Ella free, of the way older man.
She already was next to the smaller lake, kneeling down and allowing the water to enter the bucket, she thought about her-might-as-well-say-future-fiance.
Richard was a man with coal black hair, stormy grey eyes, a bossy attitude and no sense of humour. At all. ( ' But he is very rich, if Ella Jennifer will marry him, the Burgess family would help us a handful. ' as said by her own father )
Ella stood up, not noticing the big fat branch that was above above her, hitting her hard, she was too focused on the pain that she didn't realize she was now deep in the lake...
When Ella woke up, she was laying on the shore, her eyes went wide when she realized it was now night, her parents must have been worried.
Fast, she got the bucket full of water and ran back, in too much of a hurry to notice her now light blue eyes or the blue stripe on her brown dress.
She sighed with relief as she made it to the village, and spotted her mother who had a worried expression plastered on her face " Mother! mother I'm so sor- " she finished her sentence with a gasp as her mother went right through her. " Mother! " she tried to approach her again only to go right through her again
She looked over and saw Richard, better than nothing if he'd see her " Richa- " he went through her again as though... she didn't exist
" WHAT'S HAPPENING? " she yelled scared, suddenly a voice entered her head as the moon shone brighter " Do not worry child, it's alright "
" What happened to me? " she questioned, fear evident in her voice
" Child, I have made you a water sprite, you can control some amount of it, good luck young one, when time will come you will reunite with the one you love " with that the voice disappeared leaving her alone.
End Flashback
She has been made a water sprite, that could hardly do anything, she met The Sprit of Water about a week later, her name was Dina Waters, she had her black hair in a braid, with friendly dark blue eyes, but Dina was always busy that she had never realized the other water sprites making fun of Ella due to her being the least powerful
Ella really doubted Dina knew her name in the first place
She was interrupted as a pretty hummingbird came right in front of her face " Hello, your a beautiful bird " Ella remarked nicely as she put her bucket on her lap
Baby Tooth squeaked an flew around making signals that she hoped were understanding
" You want me to follow you? " Ella guessed and stood up at Baby Tooth's nod " Alright, lead the way pretty bird "
The little fairy chirped as she flew over to the direction the portal was " Hey! wait up! " the brown haired girl called with a slight giggle
Ella ran for a few good minutes, she only stopped when she saw the big white-blue hole in front of her, the colorful bird gestured towards the weird thing " You want me to go in t-there? " she stuttered
Baby Tooth nodded again " Oh well... here I go " Ella jumped in.
She landed with a ' thud ' someplace warm, she almost jumped out of her skin when a voice bellowed " HERE SHE IS! " she lifted her head to find the hummingbird from earlier flying to human sized hummingbird
Ella almost fainted when she saw a large man with a white beard and tattoos ' NAUGHTY ' and ' NICE ' written on his arms, just than then the large bird appeared next to her " Hi! I'm Tooth the Tooth Fairy, oh you have lovely teeth! " she exclaimed looking at her white teeth
" Toothy fingers out of mouth " the enormous man said sternly while moving forwards, The Guardian of Memories put a gentle yet firm hand on the girl's shoulder to what she hoped was a comforting manner.
Taking a closer look at the man, Ella's face shined with realization "You're Santa Claus"
North chuckled as Tooth pointed to Bunny ( Kangarro ) " That's Bunnymund, the Easter Bunny " the girl's eyes widened comically
" That's Sandy " " Sandman " Ella whispered as the Dream Maker waved
" And that's Jack Frost " Tooth pointed at their youngest, Ella froze at the name, and glanced at the said ' Jack Frost ' she felt a wave of hope and anxiety wash over her as she looked at him, he looked 14, that was the age Jackson was when he drowned, she had a mental imagine of her brother stuck in her head, and that exact picture matched this boy, same height, same nose, face, his hair was white though ( and he was paler ) while his eyes were icy blue, but she could see that mischievous twinkle in them. And than she spotted the stick in his hand, it was the same one, Jackson used to safe her, it had frost covering it yet it was the same.
Standing in front of her was her brother, Jackson Overland
The moment he saw the girl, he felt as though he was hit with a pile of bricks, he knew this girl, and he hoped that she at least had the slightest idea who he was.
She was in front of him, but he didn't want to believe it, he saved her! He looked her over, she was taller, a few inches shorter than him, so she didn't dive after him. Good.
But... if she was here, that meant something did happen to her.
He thought back to his first years as The Spirit of Winter, he knew Burgess like the back of his hand, he spent his first years studying the village, he was curious after all, he was reborn there, so he wanted to know more about the village, he loved his lake and somehow he was pulled to investigate the village, yet his sister literally slipped under his nose, he didn't know how he didn't even notice her absence in the village, not just in the village, but in the immortal world, how could he not have seen her? He felt like raging a blizzard with him in the middle
He didn't pay attention to what Tooth was saying to the girl that wasn't supposed to be here! Not that he wasn't happy to see her, he just... he saved her, and that costed him his mortal life, now he was an immortal, thanks to Manny, he was an immortal child, that would forever be 14
North's words rang through his head ' She was alone, fully alone for 300 years '
That's not what was supposed to happen. At all!
She was supposed to grow up, get married, have children and be happy!
Not be all by herself for 300 years, with no explanation, he had Amelia, Holly, and Eric, while she had no one.
When did this happen? He certainly wasn't in the village while it happened, or else he would've remembered, or helped, definitely not in winter, she didn't look like a winter sprite, she wasn't a seasonal one for sure, she was carrying a bucket, a bucket? a sprite holding a bucket, he'd never seen one before.
He was so lost in thought that he hadn't realized that the girl lowered her head, as if she was scared
" Maybe you should go mate " Bunny snapped him out of his thoughts, giving him a light shove, but the winter child didn't even move
" Come on, mate we donna need you scarin' her " The Easter Kangaroo muttered
" Jack " five heads snapped up to the owner of the voice, the one with brown hair
" Jackson? " she squeaked swatting Tooth's hand away, and staring at Jack with so much hope in her eyes that it made the pooka take a step back
" Only Ma and Pa called me that " he remembered, not sure if he regretted saying that or not
Jack hadn't even realized he was walking towards her until they were staring at each other, icy blue met light blue, they didn't even hear Bunny mumble loudly " What the heck? "
Ella reached out a hand, to touch his face, to make sure he was real, but stopped midair " You're supposed to be dead " he said quietly but loud enough for Jack and the guardians to hear.
Despite the situation Jack couldn't help but grin " Nothing can kill me El " he answered using the nickname he had given her 300 year ago, so long ago.
" What's going on? " Bunny whispered, Sandy shook his head, and continued to watch the scene in front of them with great interest
" Jack? " the water sprite mumbled
" Yes, it's me " he whispered back
Ella threw her arms around him, sobbing into his shoulder as the two siblings sank on their knees " Ella, Ella, Ella I'm so sorry "
" So many years Jack " she looked up
' 303 to be exact ' Jack thought with a small frown, he was still doing that blizzard
" I know, and I'm sorry " he whispered
North cleared his throat loudly interrupting the reunion, looking up, Jack wanted to laugh at the looks on their faces
" Jack... you... her... what " the russian man stuttered and this time Jack did laugh
The two kids stood up as Jack began talking " Everyone I want you to meet Ella Jennifer Overland " he gestured towards her as tears of joy still spilled down both their faces Even though Jack's would freeze in a matter of seconds )
" She's my sister "
