Silent judgement

West Berlin, 28th November 1983

The black business car pulled up outside the office building. A man got out of the car dressed in a black trench coat over a suit and wearing a beanie on their head. The man walked into the building and up three flights of stairs and into an office. The man walked over to his desk and turned on the desk lamp, he looked up and into a wall mirror to see a figure sat in a chair, shrouded by the darkness.

"Rachel doesn't mind you earning a little on the side, so long as it's not informing our enemies." a slightly refined scouse accent said from the shadows.

"Whatever is going on here...you've got the wrong man Bryan. Besides, if Rachel was so sure I was bent she'd have sent one of our organizations double o's. Benefit of being in charge round here is that I can't recall giving anyone double o status. Your file shows no kills, double o requires 2."

"It's a new file. Old one got rubbed out long ago."

"Shame we hardly know each other." the man with the beanie said as he drew an M1911 from the drawer in his desk. Bryan however sat there in the chair with ice cool nerves as he produced a handful of bullets.

"I know where you keep your gun, that counts for something."

"My contact, how did he die?" the beanie man said.

"Not well." Bryan responded.

"Put you through it? Made you feel it, did he? You needn't worry, the second is always- *suppressed gunshot*"

"Yes, quite." Bryan said as he stood up and went to leave the room. When he opened the door the beanie man was still alive and crawled up to his feet with a spare gun in his hand from the bookshelf behind him, as he raised the gun Bryan turned on the heel of his feet and shot him in the head.

Organization HQ, Liverpool, UK

Rachel Holmes was typing the report awarding Bryan his new license to kill.

Blue-codenamed: John Bryan- status confirmed- License to kill granted.

As she finished her report her mother walked into the office.

"What's this about you granting Blue a license to kill, you know he's not ready. It's too early to promote him." the CEO said as she hung her coat up on a hanger.

"Mother let me handle my agents how I see fit, besides it's confirmed now." Rachel said as she clicked enter on the keyboard.

"You're too close to that man."

"No you just feel threatened by him. I trust him more than most of my agents." Rachel admitted as Blue knocked on the door.

"You wanted to see me ma'am?" Blue said as he entered the office.

"Yes, please sit down Blue." Rachel said gesturing to a seat and turning on a screen. "What do you know of a man named Augustine Laurent?"

"Not much, only that he's some sort of money launderer for the world's terror organisations along with banking for them, likes to play poker and roulette I believe." Blue said as a medical officer walked in and placed a briefcase on the desk in front of Blue.

"Arm out please." the doctor ordered. Blue held his arm out and the doctor injected Blue with something.

"And what is that?" Blue asked as he wiped the small speck of blood that emerged from his wrist.

"Tracking chip, we need to keep you where we can see you and for emergencies." the doctor said as he packed up the equipment and left.

"He's setting up a Poker night at the hotel splendide in Montenegro, we've booked you a place at the table and a reservation at the hotel, the british treasury has decided to stake you, 15 million buy in 10 million re-buy. It appears someone in MI6 holds you in high regards. your mission is to ensure that Augustine doesn't win...Blue, one more thing, be careful with this man he's dangerous. Your mission file including your cover will be given to you in montenegro." Rachel explained as Blue stood up and left. As he walked down the corridor he was handed a train ticket for a first class overnight train in Montenegro.

8 hours later, Montenegro

Blue was sitting in the hotel restaurant dressed in a business casual suit that was tailor fit for him and a pistol if he needed it. His right hand rested on the table while his left was sipping a small shot of whiskey.

Blue looked up to see a shapely woman with Raven black hair that was cut off at shoulder length. She was 5'10 ft in height. The woman walked up to Blue's table and sat down across from Blue.

"So, you're the spy they sent to outplay this man. What do they call you?" the woman said, her voice spoke with an british accent and a tone of disdain.

"Blue...just Blue." Blue said, his voice filled with charisma.

"Helen Park. So...how do you plan on defeating Augustine at poker, won't you need a lot of luck?" the woman said.

"Park...I hope you gave your parents hell for that. As to the game of poker, people assume that poker is a game of luck like roulette when really it's about reading the people you're playing."

"But I thought the idea was the player with the best hand wins?"

"That's not completely true, in poker you never play your hand, you play the hand of the person across the table from you, you read them and make your plan off of their reaction to the hand." Blue explained as a waiter handed him and Park the menu. "I'll have the lamb please, with a glass of whiskey."

"Lamb please, with wine." Park said as they both handed the menu to the waiter.

"Oui monsieur." The waiter nodded as he left to give the orders to the chef.

"So, what do you read from me Mr Blue?" Park asked as she sipped her wine.

"Well...from the way you dress you're obviously not into spending big on clothes and from the slightly more masculine outfit you evidently packed in you bags it appears that you feel as if you aren't taken seriously by you male employers so you mask that with confidence which they in turn see as arrogance. Now at this point I would usually say lonely child but you see the way you brushed off the quip about your parents before I'm going to have to go with you being an orphan with a dead sibling, the scar on your neck indicates that you are proficient in the field enough to piss off someone big." Blue said coldly.

"Well, now it's my turn, judging from the cut of your suit you assumedly went to a big university such as oxford, but from your accent and the way you carry yourself I'd say you were tutored by the group that now employs you, your colleagues haven't let you forget it hence the chip on your shoulder and since you first thought about me as a rent orphan, that's what I'd say you are. Now seeing as we've just met i wouldn't go so far to call you a cold hearted bastard, but it's not much of a leap to say that you regard women as play things you have your fun with and discard. Oh this is fun isn't it. Now if you don't mind I shall be keeping an eye on our organizations money and off of your perfectly formed arse." Park said with a smirk on her face.

"You noticed." Blue remarked.

"Just because i've a psychology degree doesn't mean I have no imagination." Park grinned as she drank her wine.

The waiter approached five minutes later with the bill and an envelope with Blue's name on it.

Blue opened the envelope and read the letter.

"What's that?" Park asked as Blue silently observed the letter.

"just some last minute details, it would appear we're very much in love. I'm Mr. Bietch and you are my partner apparently here together in the same room." Blue said as Park tried to grab the document.

"However seeing as my family is roman catholic and we are not married the suite will be split into different beds. Staying with my cover of course." Park responded.

"Oh I do hate it when religion comes between us darling." Blue quipped.

"Religion and a sturdy wall. I'm not going to have a problem with you am I?" Park returned.

"No don't worry you're not my type." Blue said coldly.

"Smart and independent?" Park remarked.

"No, single." Blue said coldly as he finished his food and left for the room.

Blue still had time to spare so he went to his room early to prepare by getting washed and dressed into his tuxedo. Blue walked out into the corridor and up to the lift, as the doors opened and Park stood there holding a parcel for Blue.

Blue opened the parcel and pulled out a colt M1911 pistol, he holstered it in a shoulder holster 3 inches under his left armpit.

Blue also pulled out keys to a Aston martin. Blue kept hold of the keys as he walked out into the car park and up to his car. As he opened the car he instinctively checked the glove compartment for any hidden files from HQ, as the glove box opened it revealed a full first aid kit including a defibrillator, antitoxins and bandages. Blue hid the colt in the glove box.

Once his overview check of the car was complete Blue locked the car and put the keys in his inside pocket as he walked back into the hotel. Park was waiting at the front entrance as Blue gave a small wink in her direction and they walked up the stairs to the casino floor. Blue handed the security man on the door his keys as he stepped through the metal detector, the security man handed Blue the keys once he was past the detector. As they approached the bar Blue spotted Augustine.

Augustine looked around the same height as Blue and near the same weight, he had a medium stubble for a beard and brown hair so dark it was bordering on black. His left wrist was sporting a rolex and his face sporting a look that would kill most men.

Blue returned the look, his bright steel blue eyes piercing through Augustine, Blues stare made it seem like he was reading his opponents soul and searching for a tell that would help him win the upcoming game. Augustines bodyguards began staring at Blue, who was on his toes and ready for almost anything, he was already deciding who to take out first if the need arose, his pupils diluting as he was already mentally aiming down the sights of a pistol at Augustine.

"What would you like to drink sir?" a waiter said as Blue sat at the bar.

"Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon-peel." Blue said calmly as he continued to watch augustines movements.

"You keep eyeing him he'll get nervous and run." Park assessed from Blues left.

"He can't run, not if he wants to live, and I want him nervous." Blue said as he was handed the martini and took a sip of it. "No wonder Bond drinks this, it's bloody brilliant." Blue said as he noticed a new arrival.

They were dressed in a tuxedo with the jacket being a smoking jacket instead of a dinner jacket, from the way the man walked firmly he could spot from a mile off what his job was and who he worked for. The new arrival spoke with a russian accent although the accent was greatly dulled to an extent Blue could already guess that the KGB were working either with Augustine or against him.

Blue turned to Park.

"Phone when they start." Blue said as he walked out of the casino and into the car park, Blue got into his Aston and shut the door so no one could hear him before phoning HQ.

"Blue what is it?" Rachel asked over the phone as Blue held the phone in one hand and opened the glove box with the other.

"Contact the Russians and ask them if they have any interest with Augustine, there's a KGB agent who just walked into the casino and he looked dodgy." Blue said as he checked the colt was loaded and ready to fire.

"Please hold...no the Russians aren't interested in him and have no agents in the field in Montenegro at the moment." Rachel said as she hung up and Blue holstered the pistol in his shoulder holster. As Blue got out of the car his phone began to ring.

"Blue it's Park, that Russian guy just left with Augustine and another russian, I'm tailing them right now they're heading to Augustines room. Third floor." Park said as she hung up.

"No, don't oh for f- bloody women." Blue said as he walked up to the fire stairs and suppressed his pistol before holstering it. Blue walked up the stairs and managed to just about cut Park off when the two russians came walking down the corridor. Blue and Park pulled each other into a kiss, pretending to make out in a doorway. One of the Russians stared closely at Blue and noticed the small earpiece in his left ear before drawing his gun and firing, Blue reacted as soon as the russian reached for his gun and dragged Park through the stair doorway and into cover by the door as he waited next to the door.

When the first Russian came in with the pistol Blue grabbed the front of the pistol and dragged the goon over to the bannister before kicking him over to his death. Then came the second wielding a large chef's knife knocking the silenced colt from Blues and all the way to the bottom of the stairs, Park not wanting to get in Blue's way avoided the fight by keeping three stairs away from the brawl. Blue continuously ducked and dodged using the momentum to launch the attacker into the walls and through small glass panes, the attacker also managing to elbow Blue a few times during the fight, Blue managed to eventually disarm the russian sending the knife flying from his hand. Blue threw a punch at the attacker who barely dodged and managed to throw Blue tumbling down the stairs along with himself due to the momentum. While Blue managed to stop his descent halfway down the stairs the goon fell down and landed right next to Park, grabbing her leg as she tried to move away, the goon lost his grip and went for another hold only to be interrupted by Blue who used the banister as a springboard to launch himself onto the goons back and put him in a rear naked choke, the goon struggled to his feet and threw both him and Blue over the banister causing them both to fall six feet onto the ground floor, Blue still had the goon in a choke hold and Park had realised the escape door was locked.

Next to Blue and the goon was the colt, the goon was prodding the floor for it when Park grabbed hold of his wrist and began slamming it into the floor until a suppressed gunshot rang out and the gun flew from the goons hands, Park backed into the corner as she watched Blue brutally choke the life out of the thug before snapping his neck to be certain. Blue stood up with his face and shirt covered with blood.

"Phone HQ and tell them I need a clean up on this stairwell, you go do that now, go, go, GO!" Blue said as he rushed Park back up the first few stairs. Blue opened the emergency closet full of fire hoses and extinguishers before depositing both corpses in the closet and locking it shut. Blue made his way to his room and picked up both a small glass and a bottle of whiskey before taking both with him into the bathroom and turning the tap on to fill the sink enough for him to wash his face.

Blue practically ripped his shirt open and shrugged it off his shoulders, his body bruised and bloodied. He poured out a glass of whisky and gulped it down in one go.

Blue put the glass down and began to wash his face in the sink, the water quickly changing to a crimson red colour from the blood. Blue looked up into the mirror for a moment.

Blue changed into a new shirt as he got dressed.

"I see you've changed your shirt mr Blue. I hope the upcoming game isn't causing you to perspire." Augustine said as Blue sat at the poker table.

"Well I wouldn't consider myself in too much trouble until my hands start shaking,'' Blue said as he left and headed over to the bar.

"Mr Blue, Russell Adler, I'm the local contact here." An american voice said over his shoulder.

"So, Mr Adler, why exactly are you here? Some sort of handler I presume?" Blue said.

"Wrong, I'm here to provide assistance to both you and the girl. I cleaned up your mess." Adler answered as he lit up a cigarette.

"Let me guess, SOG in 'Nam?" Blue said as Adler recoiled slightly in shock from what was said.

"How do you know I was in SOG in 'Nam?" Adler said as Blue laughed.

"You have a tattoo that shows slightly through your shirt, best remedy for that giveaway is to wear a black shirt, you seem unnaturally comfortable undercover, not even the slightest twitch and you approach me after I have evidently established that I'm not with the Russians." Blue said as he sipped his drink.

"Good perception, so what do you plan on doing if you lose to Augustine." Adler said as Blue looked him in the eye.

"Not lose." Blue said as he stared down the two bodyguards protecting Augustine.

"Funny, but if you do?" Adler pried, too much.

"You're prying on plans that do not concern you, leave off." Blue said as he noticed Park was missing. "Keep and eye on Augustine would you, if it kicks off tell me." Blue said as he left to check on Park. As he entered her room Park was sat on the floor of the room looking horrified, as he went to comfort her she flinched at his touch.

"I have seen things in combat that have given me not much cause for concern, but what happened tonight...was different, I felt too vulnerable. I feel too vulnerable." Park confessed as she looked at Blue.

"That part of the job is rarely seen, it's mostly clean kills that we see...we tend not to be the ones crossing lines in the sand." Blue said as he remembered the events of his past.

"How, how do you do it, the killing? I've killed before but you- you didn't even bat an eyelid, like you weren't afraid to die." Park asked as Blue shook his head.

"I panic, I just don't show it in a fight, after the fight when I was changing my shirt I downed a glass of whisky to calm my nerves from the adrenaline. Sometimes I worry that I'll enjoy the killing." Blue said as he stood up. "C'mon I'll buy you a drink at the bar. Besides, we've got a local contact, some american."

"Wait...what's his name?" Park said with rage overwhelming the grief that was in her voice.

"Russel Adler, Why?"

"That bastard, let's just say me and him have worked together in the past, unlike me he has no worry about squadmates dying, even if it's him killing them after he treated them like a protege, their handle was 'Bell'. Bell was shot by Adler in the chest, he also shot Adler, when we arrived Adler had managed to crawl back to the squad and lead us to where he shot Bell, but there was no body. Adler continued working for a while before paranoia took over about Bell coming back to get him, he became a desk jockey after that, guess he thinks Bell is here." Park said as she grabbed one of Blue's hands.

"Jesus."

"Blue, do not trust him, whatever you do." Park said as she left for the casino.

Blue opened comms with Adler and told him to meet him in the car park outside. Blue checked his colt and holstered it under his suit.

In the car park Helen approached from behind.

"He's in his room looking worried, what did you do?"

"Asked to meet him outside, and found out the truth." Blue said as they were joined by Adler.

"What is it?" Adler said calmly, Blue led the two of them to a secluded spot away from prying eyes and ears.

"Just one question, I want the honest truth, even if it's ugly. Was I Bell?" Blue asked as both Helens and Adler's jaws dropped.

"Yes." Park admitted painfully.

"You brainwashed me, why?"

"Because we needed to catch someone, and performing the procedure was the only way to reverse what your brother Damien had his men do to you." Park answered.

"Adler, you shot me even though for...not for the first time, I helped fight my brother. As soon as Park mentioned the name Bell, It all came flooding back, I just needed to hear the truth from you. She turned out to show some semblance of sympathy, you however, tried to kill me. One reason why I shouldn't off you right now." Blue said as he looked at the guilt racked Park.

"We had a job-" Adler was interrupted by Park punching him in the face.

"You never use those words like that again, or he won't need to put the bullet in you, you'll be dead already." Park said as she and Blue left Adler to wallow in hatred for Blue.

"They were my trigger words weren't they. Look, Park, what you did, leaving the squad after he tried to kill me, for whatever reason it was, I appreciate it." Blue said as he went to enter the casino by himself.

"Blue, me and the remaining squad members, we looked for you for years after you disappeared, all that time I've wanted to apologize for what I did to you. Truly, I am sorry...for everything." Park said as she looked on at Blue. his trust in her had been shaken, but somewhat still remained.

As Blue walked in for the final round of poker he stared down his opponent.

Blue sat down at the table and glared at Augustine. Blue not only remembered all of the past with Park, but he now remembered who put him in the position to be brainwashed, to be used, to be tortured, he wasn't looking at a man named Augustine. It was Damien, his brother, through blood.

"You remember your 'sister' Blue, how she was missing and nearly died?" Damien said as he stared at Blue.

"Your turn mate." Blue calmly said as he went all in, Damien called the bluff and went all in. they were both now in a one on one deathmatch, one where the richest man lived. The loser was to be 'disposed of'.

As Blue sat opposite his brother brimming with rage, the dealer ordered them to reveal their hands, Damien revealed two kings, with another one in the community cards. Park looked worried, not with fear of the loss but with guilt, she knew Blue before she had to brainwash him, she knew what he had been through. The worry was visible on her face.

Blue revealed his hand, a pair of aces...with a third ace in the community cards, Blue had won against Damien. He collected all the chips on the table and left one as a tip for the dealer before leaving and depositing the money into his bank account.

Later Blue was stood on the balcony of his room when he heard a knock on the door, he readied his colt behind his back and approached the door, as he cracked the door open he realised it was Park and opened the door before tossing his pistol in an open travel case.

"Helen, what is it?" Blue said as he took his suit jacket off and took his holster off, throwing it in the suitcase.

"I just wanted to talk to you about something. Do you remember perseus?" Park said as Blue laughed slightly.

"Yes, he's my brother, and you know him as augustine." Blue answered, pouring himself a glass of whisky.

"What! Why didn't you mention this earlier?!"

"Because the mission was to bankrupt him in this game of poker, not start digging threats from the past up. Besides, why do you care that bastard is as good as dead now he has no money." Blue said as he drank some whisky.

"I care because you knew this whole time and you didn't deign to inform us, to inform me!" Park said as Blue sighed.

"I've killed my brother many times before, fought him too many times before. I can't do it again." Blue snapped, a sob in his voice.

"Blue, you wouldn't have had to kill him, MI6 can take him in." Park said as she looked him in the eye.

"Yes, and then what, my brother would be tortured for the rest of his life or escape again and wreak more havoc on the world. Tell me how the hell I'm meant to do this because right now I'm a rock in a hard place, I'm done." Blue said as he leant against a window.

"What are you talking about?"

"With missions, this life everything, I'll tender my resignation on the way home. Whatever we had when we worked with Adler… Well, I doubt I'll ever see you again, so goodbye." Blue said as he pressed enter on his laptop. An email was sent and Helens phone received an alert.

"Why am I receiving your resignation?" Park asked as Blue picked up his case.

"You didn't know, you were my boss." Blue said as he left and packed his case into the Aston.

Blue drove off into the night without another word.

4 years later

Helen and her squad moved in following Adler, their mission was to rescue a high priority informant on the location of an asset.

As Helen moved in on the building behind Adler she felt like something was wrong, she had a gut instinct that Adler was holding something back from her, however she dismissed the notion as not to be distracted from the mission.

The house was completely quiet. As Adler opened the door to the house there was the dead body of a perseus guard. The squad moved in slowly and cautiously as they began to notice the corpses growing more and more frequent.

"Who are we trying to find here Adler?" Park asked as Adler signaled to stop moving.

The silence was broken by a loud thud on the floor and the sound of three suppressed gunshots.

"Woods, Park and Mason, with me. The rest of you clear the rest of the house." Adler said as he led his half of the squad upstairs.

"You still haven't answered my question." Park whispered.

"Looking for intel." Adler said as they approached a room, the house was once again silent. As they approached a room where the target was suspected to be held in a bright flash came under the door, Adler burst into the room only to find more dead perseus agents and no one to explain the deaths.

"She's not here. Let's exfil." Adler said, sounding furious, as Helen investigated the room she noticed something on the floor that she knew didn't belong where they were.

"Why does he want her?" Park whispered to herself as she looked at the obsidian star pendant next to the velvet choker.

Park pondered what she found in the house for the entire ride home when the team got to their safe house in London, Park had her own safehouse, she separated from the group and got home to the empty house.

"I'm going to my safehouse, I need to think about something, alone." Park said over the radio before pulling into her driveway.

That night she laid awake in her bed thinking about who the pendant belonged to, her attempts to stay awake were unsuccessful however as she eventually fell asleep.

The next morning Helen woke up to find the pendant gone and a note in its place.

Helen read the note and immediately hurried to get dressed and head to where the note told her to go.

On the drive there she could hear the London rain beating down on the roof of the car, she was concerned with finding out who knew where she lived and how they could get in her house without her noticing.

"Fucking idiot." Park said to herself as she pulled up outside the address given to her in the letter.

It was a giant warehouse, mostly empty apart from one room accessible by only taking the elevator up to it. As Helen pressed the button to go up on the elevator she felt it move downwards.

"Fuck, what am I doing here?!" Helen said calmly as the elevator doors opened to reveal a room the size of the ware house with an evidence wall, an entire section of it with radios and decryption equipment, an armory, offices, a meeting room, interview rooms, kitchens, photo development rooms, a gym, games room, bars, bathrooms and bedrooms.

Park stepped out into the meeting room to see that the evidence wall had pictures of the entire squad, pictures of Blue's family and perseus.

"Hello Helen." a familiar voice said from her right.

"You, I thought- we all thought-" Helen was in shock at who had welcomed her.

"That I was dead, no, but then again you and Lazar knew that, the two of you saved my life. Besides, when only two people know you're alive, faking your death is simple when you know how to disappear like I do." Blue said as he smiled.

"All this time, we all thought you had killed yourself, me, Lazar, Frank, Alex and Sims."

"No one knows I'm alive except you. Adler suspects but that trail went cold last night. No one could know, I needed to be dead in order to do this." Blue said as he revealed the pendant.

"What about us, you should have at least given me or Lazar a sign, a lead to follow." Park said as she slowly readied her hand to go for her snub nosed revolver.

"If I did, would you have even known it was from me?" Blue said as he revealed the six bullets from Park's gun.

"Doubtedly. But why?" Park said her voice was steel like, unwavering.

"You were right at Montenegro, I should be trying to stop Perseus, I needed him to think that there was no longer any need to be cautious, he knows very few people can take him down. If he believed I was dead then there wouldn't be anyone ready to stop him, the world was his. To answer your questions, I am deciding to run my own unit, filled with people I trust completely and entirely, one from each special forces group and another from each intelligence organisation. Come on out, people!" Blue said as soldiers and spies alike revealed themselves.

"What do you want with me?" Park said as she backed away.

"I want you to help me stop Perseus, you and MI6, but mostly you. I know who Adler was looking for last night, so do you."

"Sir, the brainboxes have something." a british man said with a gravelly voice.

"Copy that captain, give me a while to talk with our friend then I'll have a look, unless it's crucial I'm incommunicado." Blue said calmly.

"Yes boss, ma'am." the man said as he left and headed to the kitchen.

"Why would I want to work with you?" Park said as she looked at Blue.

"You must be sick of this hunt for perseus by now, besides, we both don't entirely trust Adler, we both have stakes in this, you have the possibility of ww3 and for me I not only have that but also the fact that Perseus has… my mother." Blue said calmly, trying to hide how sensitive he was.

"Let me think about it." Park said as she stepped back into the elevator.

When the elevator doors shut the captain walked up behind Blue.

"Do you think she'll talk about this place?" the captain asked.

"Doubt it, I trust that woman with my life John, she means a lot to me, too much to lose faith in her. She's a good person, she just needs to think about it. Whatever she decides, I'll accept it gracefully." Blue said calmly.

"Sir, are you sure you can keep it professional between you two?"

"You have no idea how unprofessional me and her have been in the past to have it work out alright in the end. She saved my life, more times than I've cared to count, besides, I've got another second in command who has the most level head on their shoulders that I can thoroughly rely on." Blue said as he approached the radio tapping section of the room.

"Our holiday suitcases are arriving soon, sir, no need to worry." a voice said over the radio.

"They're either planning on Ibiza or they're waiting for something to be delivered." Blue said as he nodded for the call to be traced.

"Sir, it's coming from the pines mall." the spanish wire tapper said as Blue thought about it.

"Squad form up!" Blue called as the barracks worth of soldiers lined up.

"Maxis, Weaver, Portnova, and Baker, Gaz will be your lead for this mission, your objective is to investigate the Pines Mall and find out what the hell is going on there, move out people we don't have much time until Adlers group find out about the Mall and we can't risk him finding out about us yet." Blue said as he sent the squad out to prepare for the mission. Blue immediately picked up a phone and called his contact in the CIA. "Hey, Jack, I need to move my squad to New Jersey with a safehouse ready. Yes, one of my safehouses. Thanks, I owe you one."

Helen was driving back to Adler's safehouse, occupied with what she had learnt. She had blamed herself for Blue's apparent suicide for the past six years, now she had found out that he was alive this whole time.

'Why the hell does he want me to join? Why doesn't he join me and Adler? surely his pride doesn't rule his actions.' Park thought to herself on the drive over to Adler's safehouse.

When she arrived she sat at her desk and immediately set to work in an attempt to distract herself.

"Park, you okay?" Lazar asked from over her shoulder.

"Yes, thank you for asking...I'm- I'm fine. Just a rough night is all." Helen said as she tried to concentrate on her work.

"Do you need anything? Coffee, breakfast?" Lazar asked. He was 6'4 in height with a big beard and was often seen at the safehouse wearing his burger town t-shirt and a pair of pants and shoes.

"No, thank you, I just need to think about something for a while." Park said solemnly.

She sat at her desk, the only thing she was capable of thinking about was that Blue was alive, he hadn't killed himself, she was the only one of the group who knew.

"Pines Mall." Said Adler as Park looked over her shoulder to notice the group was having a meeting.

"It's a trap! You know it as well as I do. He's using this as bait." a woman said.

"Yeah, no shit." said Adler as he rallied a group to head to New Jersey.

Park stayed back at her safehouse, she was thinking heavily about what she saw, trying to comprehend why Blue hadn't contacted her until now.

Pines Mall, New Jersey

"Bravo 5, Adler and his friend just arrived. They're cornered by some guy with a mask, scar across his left eye, hooded man, no ID on him so far sir." Gaz said over the radio.

"No need for ID, that's one of Perseus's lieutenants. Stitch, tough bastard, has a personal grudge with Adler." Price said.

"Well he'll have to wait his turn, I'm first in that line, Gaz… assist Adler's team as best you can but it is essential he doesn't see you." Blue ordered over the radio before retiring to his office.

"Kill the rest...Adler is mine." Stitch said as he approached Adlers squad. As he approached a bullet hit one of the perseus soldiers in the head before another, followed by another. Adler's group made a run for the exit, while Gaz and his group guarded them, distracting the Perseus agents to some degree.

"Boss, he's manufacturing Nova-6." Gaz said over the radio when he spotted canisters.

Adler was knocked out by an RPG blast and dragged away while his team had to fall back, escaping to their safehouse.

"This is Gaz, they have Adler and are pulling out for exfil. Moving back to our own exfil." Gaz said as he and the squad moved back into the shadows and got into the hidden black van that they arrived at the mall in.

"Copy that, see you back at base for debrief." Price said, Gaz and his squad met price at the airport and took the next flight to London.

CIA safehouse, New Jersey

"Who the hell was it that fired at Perseus?" Woods said as Zeyna paced around the room.

"Well they seemed to try and help us escape. Park should be able to find out who was in the vicinity at the time." Zeyna said.

"Where do you think they're taking Adler?" Bulldozer said as he sat with his feet on the table.

"I don't know, we need to keep our ears out for any sightings of him." Zeyna said as she finally sat down.

London, 9 hours later

Blue was sitting in his office when he heard the elevator go.

"Where is he?" He heard Helens voice through his office door.

"In his office over there ma'am."

Helen entered the office, she looked like she had made her mind up.

"I'll join you, one condition, you don't have to let Adler in, but you do have to work with woods and the rest of the team." Helen said as Blue thought about it.

"Fine, as of now...Helen A. Park, you and Captain John Price of the SAS are my two seconds in command. As for the rest of the group, they're on their way here. I'll have them picked up from the airport upon arrival, they can know, but not Adler, not until I trust him not to shoot me or use the trigger words. Speaking of scarface, I've put out an alert for sightings of this Stitch bloke. Now, would you like the tour of the place?" Blue said as he stood up.

"Why not, sir." Park said Blue winced at it.

"Please, to you and Price I'm not officially sir, he just uses stuff like that in front of the rest of the team." Blue said holding his office door open for Park.

"Now, your office is just the one just to the left of mine while the one on the right of mine is Prices. The bedrooms are over there in the left hand side wall, the door leads to a different area with all the bedrooms, the gym, Games rooms and bar are on the far right in that order, the radio and cryptography sections are next to each other, allows both groups to work efficiently with each other, the evidence board is in the meeting room, where we are stood now. Straight on is the car access to the tunnel to and from the airport. Regardless of if we own accommodation above ground you are given a room here free of charge in case you need it, we have enough supplies and rooms down here to feed an army for a while, so help yourself." Blue said as he walked over to the bar with Helen and ordered a whisky.

"Nothing thanks." Park said calmly. "So how do you get the funding for all of this?"

"Pulled a few strings." Blue said.

"No seriously, what did you do?" Park said thinking Blue was mimicking her response from when he was Bell.

"Well, I say pulled, I really mean I yanked a few strings, let's just say that I don't have to report to anyone. Officially, I'm still dead, can't be receiving updates from dead men, plus I have contacts pretty much everywhere." Blue laughed.

"Price one of those contacts or you two have some sort of history?" Park asked as Blue sipped his whisky.

"We both served in the SAS for years, he taught me mostly everything I know about combat with firearms and hand-to-hand. We worked on an idea, to unite special forces around the world to combat terror, one by one we were picked off by a group, we fought, not many of us left." Blue said as he sipped his drink again.

"Blue, I know it can't be easy to do this, hunting down your brother. I want you to know, we will all appreciate what you're doing here." Park said, putting her hand on Blue's wrist.

"Thanks." Blue said shyly as he finished the drink and headed for his quarters.

Blue was sat in his room on the phone to someone as Helen walked past to her room.

"Look, I know what I'm doing, besides, I don't report to anyone, remember. Yeah, sure...tell Dad I'm working on it. See ya sis." Blue's voice said through the door.

Helen resumed walking to her quarters when she heard Blue's door open.

"Oh, it's you, thought one of the recruits was eavesdropping for gossip." Blue said as Helen was bewildered by how he was able to know she was there.

"Sorry, I heard you talking over the phone, it wasn't my place to listen in." Helen said, trying not to offend Blue.

"No need to apologise, I wouldn't have put you as second in command if you weren't brave enough to challenge me or listen to my phone calls. I need people who do that, even when I'm on the receiving end of it." Blue said warmly as he approached Helen.

"I didn't know that you had relatives." Helen said as she invited Blue into her quarters.

"Well, me and my sister are adopted, trust me when I say that I have an...abnormal family." Blue said as he stepped into the quarters that looked like a luxury underground hotel.

"These quarters are amazing. They're like a 5 star hotel!" Park exclaimed.

"Yeah well, that happens when you have an unlimited source of money." Blue said calmly he waited for an invitation to sit down.

"I still have no clue where you got all the money from." Park said, pouring herself some wine.

"I may or may not have an old friend who is a duchess, she sends me a monthly sum which I convert to sterling." Blue said as Park offered a glass of wine to Blue.

"A duchess, let's hear it then." Park said as Blue accepted the wine.

"I don't like to talk about how I lost it." Blue said uncomfortably.

"Lost what? No! You didn't! To a duchess!" Park laughed.

"Long story, besides look at the time." Blue said, trying to avoid being asked the question.

"Blue, I'll tell you about how I lost mine if you tell me about yours." Park laughed as she sipped her wine.

"Fine. me, my father and my sister were hired to hunt down a...killer in a place called Toussaint, I was assigned to be the Duchess's bodyguard, the next three weeks we grew close, then the night we hunted the killer his allies attacked the ducal palace. I received severe wounds on my right leg and left arm, still kept fighting, the duchess fought the attackers with me and ended up bruised but alive, she stitched my wounds shut and we concemated our love for each other. Sadly I didn't realise what I had, went off fighting for foolish things like honor and glory, thinking that they made me a better man, when everything I asked for was back in Toussaint. I threw it all away." Blue said as he realised that Helen probably didn't want to hear all of this. "I'm sorry, you shouldn't have to hear this."

"Why not? Because you think that a man has to constantly put on a brave face?" Helen said calmly.

"No, I'm not as simple minded as most people. But I don't think you have any desire to hear about such matters, especially after everything I've put you through." Blue said as he gulped his wine down.

"Blue, what I've been through is far less than what I put you through, I made you forget who you are." Park said as Blue grinned.

"You need to stop hating yourself for that, if you didn't go through with it someone else would have, besides, i was already brainwashed by my brothers version of MK-ULTRA, you probably saved my life." Blue said warmly as Park smiled at him.

"Did I save you, or have I doomed you to this life, crawling around in the shadows fighting against your own brother." Park said.

"Believe me, I was doomed to this life long before you and I met. When I was born I was doomed to it. I've lived long past my sell by date, I should have been dead the day I was born, me and my cursed brother." Blue said, all he had been through and seen, it felt like a heavy burden was being lifted just by talking to Park about them.

"Blue, listen to me and listen good, you are the best person I have ever known, even when I stripped you of your name and everything else, you managed to keep your humanity, your conscience. A luxury I do not have." Park said as she held Blue's hand.

"Do you feel guilty about brainwashing me?" Blue asked.

"Yes. More than anything I've ever had to do." Park sighed.

"Then you do have a conscience. Stop blaming yourself for it, as head of this group that is an order from me." Blue said calmly, laughing.

"Yes Blue." Park said as she gave a two finger salute to Blue.

Blue stood up and left, wishing a good night to Helen. He headed to his quarters and sat on his bed.

"Fucks sake." Blue said as he kicked his drawer.

That night Blue struggled sleeping, memories of who he was and what he had done when brainwashed by Perseus haunted him. Secret missions to places he can't remember.

Blue woke up sweating and panting as he climbed out of bed. Blue got changed into sportswear and went to the gym, spending time on the treadmill and punching bags. Once Blue had worked the stress away he went back to the quarters and showered before getting dressed into his standard attire.

Blue went to his office and began working when the door opened and Price walked in.

"Sir, the pines group is holding, they got here while you were getting ready." Price said as he noticed Blue's hand twitch slightly.

"Okay, I'll go take Helen to Holding to explain what's happening. Any news on Adler?" Blue said as he closed a folder on his desk.

"Nothing new sir, we'll keep looking though." Price said sternly.

"Don't overwork yourselves, you are one of my most trusted people, I need you ready to take charge of this if I- if I'm not lucky." Blue said as he stood up and left for Helen's quarters. Blue knocked on the door to be answered by Park wearing a towel and drying her hair.

"Yes Blue?" Park said calmly.

"The rest of the team is here, they're in holding. I'll wait out here." Blue said, leaning next to the door frame, closing the door to give park privacy.

A few moments later Park appeared from her room wearing a casual outfit.

"So, how are you going to tell them?" Park said as Blue led her to holding.

"Roughly the same way I told you. After this I need you in my office, I've got an assignment for you." Blue said, opening the door to holding.

"Blue? what the fuck is goin' on here?" woods said as Blue tossed a report onto the large table at the center of the room.

"It's really me, I just needed people to think I was dead...so I can stop my brother permanently. My men were the ones helping you at Pines Mall." Blue said as Woods threw a punch at Blue.

"We thought you were dead, Park, she tore herself up over you!" Woods yelled as Park stood between them.

"I know! But if Perseus or Adler knew he was alive then that would have made catching Perseus harder. Look, I get it you're pissed. But right now, Blue is our best shot at finding Adler, we work together, find Russell, kill Perseus and his cronies." Park said dragging Woods off of Blue.

"Do you trust him and his people, Park?" Zeyna said as she approached the Englishwoman.

"...with my life. I'll hand this over to you Blue." Park answered.

"The man who has Adler is one of Perseus' high ranking lieutenants. Known as Stitch, he used to manufacture Nova-6 until the rebirth island incident, after that he was tortured by Adler who fucked up his left eye. Following his encounter with our esteemed colleague he was sent to a gulag, that is where he was contacted by my brother Damien A.K.A. Perseus. For now, make yourselves at home in the quarters, have a look around the place, I'll brief you all when some new info comes up." Blue said as he opened the door for everyone to leave before following them out and leading Park to his office.

"So...this job, I assume it's off the record?" Park said as Blue smiled.

"Everything we do is off the record, this is nowhere near the record, different department. I need you to look into how Perseus got a hold of my mother, anything you find bring to me." Blue said calmly.

"Of course."

"And Park...do whatever you have to, I'll handle the ramifications, legal or financial." Blue said sternly.

"Don't worry, we'll find her." Park said warmly.

Blue continued to work in his office until Woods walked in with Mason.

"Woods, Mason. Do you need something?" Blue asked as he kept looking down at the work.

"Yeah, an explanation as to what the hell is going on?" Mason said.

"I guess I owe you that much. Perseus is my brother, he knows how to get to me and how to keep me off his trail, so in order to stop him from knowing I was hunting him then I needed everyone to know that I was dead. He needed to think no one else knew how he thought and fought. Now though I can't afford to beat around the bush, he has someone hostage."

"Who? Your mom?" Woods remarked.

Blue simply stared at the two of them in a manner telling them that Woods had actually guessed it.

"Wait, they really have your mom?" Mason said somewhat sympathetically.

"Yes and if we don't get her back and stop Perseus, she and many others will die." Blue said solemnly.

"So what do you want with us?" Woods said as Park walked in.

"Was I interrupting?"

"No, no, come in. Woods, to answer your question, I want you and the rest of your squad on this team, we need people who we trust." Blue said calmly.

"Fine, but when we get Perseus you give us the whole fucking story!" Woods said as he left the office.

"I'll talk him around." Mason said calmly.

"What was it you needed Helen?" Blue asked politely.

"Your mother, she was apparently seen in Laus. She was being held captive by Stitch, he was seen handing her off to Perseus." Park said.

"Passing her around to his lieutenants like a fucking slab of meat!" Blue said, the stress showing as he put his pen on the desk and his head in his hands.

"Blue, we will find her. I promise." Park reaffirmed Blue.

"I know. But first let's find Adler, you keep working on tracking my mother. Dismissed." Blue said as he calmed down, letting out deep breaths.

"Come with me. You need some time away from your desk." Park said as she led Blue to the car park and drove to a nearby coffee shop.

"Park, I appreciate the gesture but I really need to be working on finding Perseus." Blue said as Park looked at him like she pitied him.

"We've all been so angry at you for faking your death, no one's been able to understand what it did to you have they? You push yourself so hard because you feel like the weight of all this is on your shoulders, you have me, Price and the rest of the squad to help you." Park said, squeezing Blue's hand.

"I can't burden you with the weight I carry." Blue said as he looked out over the thames.

"Blue you need to realise that you are a man, not an island. A man's strength comes not just from brawn and intelligence, but also their allies." Park said as she moved her face closer to Blue. She leant in to kiss Blue, who returned the favor, they were locked in a deep kiss for a few seconds before deciding to head back to Parks safehouse. That night Blue and Park spent genuine time together. Talking about what they had been doing for the past six years, talking about their families and joking with each other.

Blue was calm when now talking openly about his past. Park was touched by the fact Blue felt like he could trust her, she knew how difficult it was for him to talk about his early life. The fact he was doing so indicated to Park that he really meant what he said about trusting her, Blue smiled warmly as he went to leave the safehouse.

"Blue. I hope you know that no matter how far you go, I'll always have your back." Park said as Blue left.

Blue drove back to the HQ. Waiting next to the lift was Gaz.

"Sir." Gaz acknowledged as he handed Blue a picture of Adler with Stitch in Laos.

"Good work, ready a squad, your running point on this lead." Blue said calmly as he headed to his office.

"Yes boss. Where's Park?"

"She's on a mission for me right now." Blue said as he opened the file he was working on before he had left with Park.

As the day went on Gaz and his squad prepared for flight to Laos. Blue was working until Park entered the office.

"New Intel on your mother? The place she was held in is also where Adler was last seen." Park said as Blue immediately stood and headed for the loadout room.

Blue picked up his colt and a XM4 with a 4x scope, an agency suppressor, a field agent foregrip, airborne elastic wrap for the handle, S.A.S combat stock, ember sighting point and an extended barrel.

Blue changed into an outfit more suited for the jungle. His combat pants had a tiger stripe jungle pattern, his patrol jacket was dark brown, he was wearing an olive combat vest and belt, his boonie hat was olive as were his combat boots. He had a holster on his right thigh and a knife on his left shoulder strap.

"Alright Gaz, I'm coming with you, you're still in charge. I'm here on a separate op." Blue explained as he climbed into the van due for the airport.

"Boss, you and Park-"

"I don't know yet Gaz, let's keep focused on the mission." Blue said as he sat on the squad's private plane for the flight to Vietnam.

"Boss this is Price, Park said to tell you that there is a second facility three clicks away from the one you're investigating, she thought it would help if there was nothing at the primary camp." Price said over the comms.

"Copy that. Keep us in the loop." Blue responded as he sat up to listen to Gaz go over the mission brief and the plan of attack.

As the plane landed the three squads made their way to helicopters, each one setting off for a different facility.

Blue disembarked from his helicopter on his own moving in slowly on the facility, using his element of surprise to quietly move in, taking down the guards and disposing of the bodies in the jungle, as Blue moved in on the facility he heard what sounded like a woman fighting someone or something, Blue slowly approached the sound, his head on a swivel as he moved up to the door of the house where the sound was originating from, Blue racked up on the door and counted to ten before bursting through it, appearing around the doorway while lowering onto one knee. In the corner holding the woman hostage was a guard as he went to fire his sidearm at Blue, Blue fired a shot into the middle of the attackers forehead, he slowly moved in on the man and shot him a further two times to be certain.

The woman ran at Blue, who had to disarm the woman who had a piece of broken glass in her hands.

"Mum, it's alright, it's me...Blue" Blue said as he held his adopted mother close to assure her he was really there.

"Blue, they did things to me, I don't know what but they did them to me." Yennefer said as Blue noticed her injured legs.

"We'll find out when we get you to my people for now let's focus on getting out of here alive." Blue said as he inspected the wounds on Yennefer's ankles. "You can't walk like that, wounds will get infected, come here."

Blue picked his mother up in his arms carrying her away from the camp.

"This is Blue, requesting a med-evac." Blue said calmly over the comms, Blue carried Yennefer to a clearing in the jungle where the medical helicopter could land.

"Copy that send up the flare." Price said on the other side of the radio. Blue pulled out a flare gun and fired it into the air.

"Blue, this is daredevil, we're on our way, ETA ten minutes." the Helicopter pilot said over the radio. Blue took off his bullet proof vest and put it on Yennefer while using his rolling out his jacket for her to lie on to avoid infection. Blue took all the ammo from the vest he had given to his mother and readied it on any free space in his belt.

Blue readied to hold from the guards no doubtedly alerted by the flare. He heard rustling in the bushes to his left, turning fast he noticed Wolf and his squad appear. They rushed over to Blue and Yennefer to establish a defensive position.

"Any sign of Adler?" Blue asked Wolf.

"Checked the whole damn place, he had been held there. We got some intel from the place, who's the woman?" Wolf asked as Blue still kept his eyes on the bushes.

"My mother. How many mags you got?" Blue asked as Wolf checked his ammo reserves.

"Another four plus this one." Wolf answered as he noticed Gaz's squad emerging from bushes from the east. Followed by the voices of the camp guards.

"I the only one thinking of raiders of the lost ark right now?" Blue joked.

"What when he's screaming 'jock start the engine'?" Wolf laughed.

"Wolf, you just got into my good graces for excellent taste in pop culture." Blue said as the attackers appeared from the jungle. "Fire!"

The clearing erupted into a hail of gunfire as all sides became engaged in a firefight.

"Tango's eleven o'clock!" Blue called as Woods began to fire at the newly arriving enemies. Blue used a grenade to clear a pocket of hostiles.

"This is Daredevil, ETA five minutes." the pilot said over the radio.

"Make that two and a half or you'll be extracting corpses!" Blue yelled over the radio. Mortars began landing in their vicinity. Blue dived for cover before throwing another grenade at the tree line.

A mortar landed near Blue and the shrapnel managed to become lodged in Blue's left shoulder and all over Blue's torso.

"Agh...fuck." Blue yelled in pain as he used his right arm to draw his colt and began to fire at oncoming enemies. "Wolf, use the rest of my rifle ammo."

Blue handed the rest of his ammo to Wolf before reloading his colt.

"Woods,on your ten o'clock!" Blue called as he felt the dampness of blood on his shirt.

"Blue!" called Yennefer. Blue looked over to his mother who was pointing at an approaching helicopter.

"It's Daredevil. Load Yennefer first then the rest of you get on, I'll hold them off for you!" Blue ordered as he checked how much pistol ammo he had. 16 bullets.

The soldiers loaded Yennefer onto the chopper before embarking themselves. Blue slowly backed up, firing at the enemies whilst being covered by his squad. Blue was less than a yard away from the helicopter when a bullet hit him in the lower stomach and the right shoulder. Blue fell face down into the grass.

"Go, leave now." Blue croaked over the radio, gurgling on his own blood. The helicopter flew off into the horizon as Blue lay there in the middle of the clearing, being closed in on by Perseus agents.

The ops room at London HQ was silent, the entire population was in shock, Park walked in to see Price give her a sympathetic look.

"No! No no no no." Park said on the verge of tears, backing away and running to Blue's quarters.

On arrival at the Laos safehouse Yennefer was taken to the small and primitive infirmary.

The rest of the three squads were bickering about what they were going to do.

"We should at least go back for him! I don't like the kid but we can't just fuckin' leave him." Woods said.

"Then you'll end up dead alongside him and we'll be at a greater disadvantage." Rivas said as Gaz slammed his fists on the table at the center of the room.

"Will you all just shut the fuck up for one fucking second! I need to think about our next move!" Gaz yelled as the room went silent.

Yennefer was helped into the room and sat on a chair.

"Yennefer, I promise you we will do what we can to get that boy back." Gaz said as he made a phone call.

"This is Ryan."

"Jack Ryan?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Jack, it's Gaz from Blue's group...he's- he's been taken by Perseus, they have him, we don't know whether he is alive or dead, but we can't leave him, can you get us anyone to assist?" Gaz said over the phone.

"I know a squad of S.E.A.L's that can help with reconing the place, that's about it though."Jack said as Yennefer tried to leave the room on her own. She pushed through the pain in her legs and went into a private room.

Park was in Blue's quarters looking through everything he had in order to find where he would have been taken to. A few tears ran down her face as she found a photo of Blue, he was with a woman wearing a crown.

"She must be the duchess Blue mentioned. I can see why he cared about her, they look like they were close." Park thought aloud while looking at the photo.

She continued to scramble through the pile of items Blue owned looking for something.

"Gaz and the rest of the soldiers are heading back tomorrow with some Navy SEAL's. They're going to try and get Blue back, or worst case scenario, his corpse." Price said from over Parks shoulder.

"Get me on the next plane to Laos. I'll bring him home." Park said storming to the armory. She picked out an MP5 with a suppressor and red dot sights. Park got into one of the standard issue cars and drove to the group's airport, on the flight to Vietnam Park was struggling to comprehend what was going on.

Gaz and his squad were looking through every single file they found in the camps.

Meanwhile, many, many miles away from Laos, Blue was strapped to a medical bed, his wounds still heavily bleeding, he was not just injured, he was in the arms of lady death herself, at last the grim reaper had caught Blue, the boy who had cheated death so many times that death was becoming vexed by him.

Blue was on all sorts of life support and further drugs to keep him docile, Perseus knew full well the extent of his brother's abilities. While he was unconscious Blue was worrying about Park and the rest of the people Damien would hurt to get to Blue, the innocents. Blue was still in a critical condition when the plane he was on landed in Verdansk. He was loaded into the back of a black van and driven to an undisclosed location.

"You will never interfere with Perseus's plan again." Stitch said to the unconscious Blue. Blue was receiving surgery in Verdansk by the time Park landed in Laos. Blue's wounds were being sewn shut by someone, she had blonde hair and was of slim build.

"Come on, don't die now." the doctor said as she finished sewing shut the wounds and began to bandage them. Blue recognised the voice.

While in surgery Blue began trying to figure out what was going on.

'Okay, she is here, saving my life. They are keeping me alive for some reason, I was taken from Laos by plane. Spent 19 hours on it, must be somewhere near Turkey, likely a neighbouring country, Urzikstan perhaps.' Blue thought as he laid silently looking around the room.

Blue's mind immediately began plotting points of exit, camera placements, counting guard patrol times as he listened over the sound of his surgery.

"How is he?" Blue heard his brother's voice ask the surgeon.

"He'll live, you seem genuinely worried about him sir?" the woman asked.

"You flatter him, I simply want him to suffer at our hands and for the plan to go off without more trouble. What about the other procedure?"

"Sir, with all due respect if you wish to use him as planned, we should let him recover a little before subjecting him to the procedure." the woman said as Damien approached her menacingly.

"You still feel for him, don't you? You would be smart to consider my offer from the other night...Rachel." Damien said as he slithered close to her.

"If you do not want your plan to fail then you will pay heed to my advice, he needs to recover." Rachel said as she glanced between Damien and Blue.

"Fine by me. A week maximum. Then begin the procedure." Damien said as he left the room.

"Don't worry, you'll thank me when this is over." Said Rachel.

She left Blue strapped to the bed and asleep, making sure that he was fed and hydrated by the guards.

Park and her squad were looking for Blue in Laos. Using spy planes to take photos of all locations were Blue was possibly being held at.

Rachel entered the room with a clipboard to check on Blue's condition.

"M-my mum, d-did she make it out?" Asked Blue faintly.

"Yes, we're loo-"

"Then I was successful." Blue muttered to himself. "What was the offer Damien made?"

"He's asked me to marry him." She asked as Blue started laughing, causing his wounds to hurt.

"So you rejected him?" Blue said as he took a drink of water.

"Not exactly." Rachel said as Blue choked on his water.

"What? Are you insane?! He's a homicidal, mass murdering, genociding bastard!" Blue whispered.

"Yes, but he saved my mother. Blue, it's the only way you're alive." Rachel said as Blue looked puzzled.

"Saved your mother from what?" Blue asked.

"While you were dead we came under attack, most were wiped out, me mom and Johnson were the only ones who survived. We got trapped when your brother found us and saved us." Rachel explained as Blue gave a sigh.

"Shit, so he does have a heart, albeit a very small and cold one." Blue said as he used the igni sign to burn through the restraints.

As Rachel left the room, Blue fell off the bed. As he tried to stand he simply fell back to the floor.

Meanwhile Park and her squad had found footage of Blue being transported to Verdansk, strapped to a medical bed.

"I promise we'll bring you home Blue." Park said to herself.

"Ma'am. What are we going to do about this information?" Gaz said as Park was snapped back into reality.

"Gaz, sorry I must have been lost in thought." Park confessed as she began thinking about what to do.

"Care to share some of those thoughts?" Gaz asked as Park smiled.

"Just remembering something Blue said to me. Has he ever told you about his past, girlfriends or anything like that?" Park asked.

"Ma'am. Surely you know him well enough to know that he prefers that the past stays buried. He's hardly talkative when in social situations." Gaz responded.

"He told me about the first person who he ever loved the other night. I thought that Blue was sociable when we worked in Montenegro."

"Personally Ma'am I think you're one of the few people who he trusts in that way. I don't blame him for being that way, after all he's been through, I'm surprised he trusts anyone." Gaz said with a sigh.

"Get us a way into Verdansk. And Gaz… thank you." Park said as she looked at Yennefer approaching.

"Do you know where they're holding my son?" Yennefer asked.

"Yes, Gaz is working on getting us there. I'll bring him back, whatever the cost." Park answered.

Blue heard footsteps approach the door, they were heavier than Rachels, meaning it was probably a guard. Blue stood next to the door as it opened. As the guard walked through Blue slammed their head into the door before punching them unconscious.

Blue picked up the guards MP5A3 and M1911. He heard the alarms trigger and made a run for a nearby vent shaft as he crawled through it he noticed a grate. When Blue looked through it he saw Adler being tortured by stitch and his companions.

"Asshole, better leave enough for me to punch." Blue muttered under his breath as he continued crawling through the vents. He could hardly see anything so he pulled out a lighter off the guard and sparked it up.

"Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs." Blue joked to himself as he crawled through the vent.

Blue emerged on an opening leading outside, the rest of the building was still under construction. He slowly made his way to a nearby underground car park to try and find a vehicle to escape in. as he hotwired the car Blue thought back to what he saw in the facility.

"No. no don't be so fucking stupid Blue- fuck sake, Adler you better not shoot me when we're done." Blue said to himself as he readied his MP5A3 and climbed back into the vent and back to where Adler was held. Stitch and his allies had departed, Blue removed the vent grate and climbed down into Adlers cell.

Adler was unconscious, forcing Blue to pull him up into the vent and drag him to the exit.

"Jesus, you fat fuck, weighs a fucking ton." Blue said under his breath. As they exited the building Blue carried Adler on his shoulders to the car park, sitting Adler in the hotwired car and getting into the driver's seat. Blue drove to the Verdansk Airport and messaged Park about his escape before loading Adler onto a plane and hijacking it.

Halfway through the flight Adler woke up.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Adler growled as Blue focused on flying.

"Escaping from Stitch and saving your life. You're welcome by the way." Blue said as he kept an eye on the fuel gage.

"What did Perseus want with you?" Adler demanded.

"Truth, I don't know, he kept mentioning a procedure. They say anything around you?" Blue asked as he relaxed back into the flying.

"Not much, besides I'm not telling you." Adler insisted.

"Fine by me. Look when we land I'm driving us back to Park, both of us, you can debrief her and she can debrief you. Understand." Blue said.

"Why should I go anywhere with you when we land?" Adler chimed at Blue.

"Look, I don't trust you as far as I can shit, let me say that isn't a good distance. But I trust Park's instincts, she seems to trust you somewhat so I'm letting you in on my ops, like you've been letting me in on yours." Blue said.

"The hell are you talking about?"

"Who do you think tipped you off about Pines mall, who do you think has been giving you intel after I died. Me." Blue said as he spotted the south-east coast of England,

"about an hour till we reach Heathrow."

"That was you? Why?"

"look...I get why you think I'll turn, but trust me just this once, please." Blue said as he radioed to Heathrow.

"Fine. Bell."

"I'm not Bell, nor am I a bellend." Blue said beginning landing maneuvers.

When the plane landed Park was waiting for them with a car.

Yennefer embraced Blue and noticed Adler.

"Blue, Russell. Let's go." Park said as they embarked into the car, blue was in the front next to Park while Adler was in the back next to Yennefer who was glaring daggers at him.

"Who is she and what's her problem?" Adler asked as Blue bit his tongue to restrain from snapping at Adler.

"She, is my mother, her problem is that you brainwashed and tried to kill her son." Blue said as he looked in the rear view mirror to see Yennefer staring death eyes at Adler. "Well, you're doing better than me or my sister used to when we received that look, we usually had nightmares about it."

"What are you talking about, the two of you hardly ever angered me?" Yennefer said nonchalantly.

"Yeah, we were too scared of the look to piss you off." Blue laughed as Park pulled into the HQ warehouse.

As the lift into the garage went down Adler looked around in amazement.

"Believe me Russell, You should have seen my face when Blue showed me the on site quarters." Park said as Blue smiled.

"I thought that was because you found out I was alive?" Blue said.

"Oh, don't worry, I was overjoyed."

"Yeah, not sure my cheek is though." Blue said as they disembarked from the car.

"What is this place?" Adler said as Blue smiled at the fact he had managed to blow his frenemies mind.

"This, Adler… is HQ. everything and everyone here is helping combat Perseus. Including me." Blue said as he lead Adler into the common area for everyone to see

"I hate to say it, but...I'm impressed." Adler said as Blue smirked.

"I sodding hope so. This organization answers to no government. When we say this job is off the record, we mean it, if I had to state on a decent scale how far we are off the record, then the best way to say it would be that the record is in another department." Blue said calmly, leading him to the evidence board. "I seem to recall you liked these little arts & crafts boards."

"You remember your time as Bell?"

"Yes, I remember every little detail. Though I do prefer remembering the friendly times more than the...unfriendly times." Blue said slyly. "If you're interested the C.O's office is over there, be there in five minutes. If you don't like it then you're free to go."

Blue left with Park while Price caught Adler's attention.

Park sat on Blue's table while Blue pulled his seat out.

"There are chairs all over the place Helen, as much as I appreciate the view you don't really need to sit on my desk." Blue said, his voice oozing with the charisma he had in Montenegro.

"It's a scare tactic. And you've been deprived of a good view for a while, soak in this special one." Park said flirtatiously.

"Well, perhaps I'll have to present my counter argument another time." Blue said, acknowledging Adler approaching the door.

"I'll look forward to it." Park smirked as Blue got out a file on Adler.

Adler knocked on the door.

"Come in!" Park called through the door. As Adler entered the office he went wide eyed at the sight of Blue sitting at the desk.

"You're the C.O? Shit." Adler laughed as Blue glanced at Park.

"Shit indeed. Now, As you've already noticed, we are a multinational group dedicated to stopping Perseus and others like him, meaning any defectors, come straight to us, every government agency in NATO has agreed and for obvious reasons those in the Warsaw Pact have done so super secret squirrel style. My point is, while we are not under the control of any known or unknown government, we still work with them, they send us defectors, we'll eventually settle that debt with the bodies of Perseus and his lieutenants. I'm CO round here, Park and Captain Price are the second in commands, you have an issue, come to one of us, even me. Now, you will be assigned to a squad and if you work well we may give you your own squad. Right now we need someone to help us find out what Perseus is up to, that's you, if you want the job." Blue said calmly.

"How the hell did you get put in charge of this?"

"Well they printed my name and job title on this little sign, see." Blue said smartly.

"You think that makes you a leader?"

"I've earnt the respect and trust of most people here, a few are getting there but they have their reasons. I have my people's respect without having to brainwash any of them or shoot them for helping me." Blue said sharply.

"I suppose if we're working together I can keep an eye on you, find out what you're up to. I'm in." Adler said as Park sighed, partially with relief and partially from exhaustion born from Adler's mistrust of Blue.

"Very well, get out there." Blue said as he stamped active onto Adler's file. "You've got a job to get done."

As Adler left Park looked at Blue displeasing.

"You need to let what he- we did to you go, you can't hold it against him for your whole life." Park said as Blue smirked.

"I forgave him a while ago, that was showing him that if he kicks off I bite back." Blue said calmly as he pointed at the sign.

"You were asserting your position as a hardarse leader, when are you going to show the fair side of that coin." Park smiled.

"Relax, I'm not gonna try to kill him, just pray he doesn't offer me to a sparring session in the gym." Blue said as he held Park's hand. Blue went to stand as he felt the shrapnel from Laos twinge he fell to the floor and began coughing.

Park helped Blue to his feet before helping him out into the common area. She was holding Blue's left arm over her shoulder.

"Park...I...love...you." Blue whispered as he fell unconscious from the pain.

Park placed Blue on the infirmary bed and opened his clothes to check his wounds.

Park found a shrapnel shard embedded in Blue's left leg, the pain kicking in now because of the painkillers given to him when he was receiving treatment. Blue woke up as Park swiftly used Blue's shirt to stop him biting through his own tongue. Blue removed the shirt instantly.

"Jesus Christ! Thing stinks!" Blue said as he grabbed a discarded bottle of aftershave and sprayed it on the shirt.

Once the operation was complete Blue discarded the shirt into the washing basket for the patients.

"You okay?" Park said as she bandaged the wound.

"Yeah, come to think of it, it was better without the aftershave. Hate Brut." Blue said laughing as Park looked at him smiling.

"How do you do it, you've been through hell but you are literally laughing as you get hurt. If I didn't know better I'd say you were like a sadomasochist."

"Bite me." Blue said as he left.

"I don't think I should, you'd probably like it!" Park called as Blue left the room holding two fingers at Park.

"Smartass!" Blue called from the corridor.

"Yeah, but you love this arse." Park muttered as Blue put his head around the door.

"You're damn right I do." Blue smirked as Park approached him. "C'mon, first round's on me."

As Park entered the bar with Blue the room went silent.

"Blue, what's happening?"

"Ask 'em yourself, you're the second in command." Blue said as he ordered the drinks.

"Woods, Mason. What's happening?"

"We heard you saved Blue's life today." Woods said as Blue handed Park her drink.

"She did."

"Then in your honor. To Park." Mason said, raising a beer.

The sound of bottles chiming filled the room for a moment. While Blue was sitting at the bar alone, Woods approached him.

"Hey look, what I said to you the other day, I was wrong about you, we heard how you saved Adler even after what he's done to you, you're alright in all our books Blue." Woods said as Blue smirked.

"Thanks, should try telling that to Adler, asshat still hates my fucking guts." Blue said as he noticed Park coming over.

"I'll give you two some space." Woods said as Park sat at the bar next to Blue.

"So, Blue about what you said to me before." Park said.

"Look, if it's in any way embarrassing for you or something like that I'm sorry."

"No-no nothing like that, it's, well I've never been one to get down into the emotions of it all, especially with a colleague, and definitely not my boss. But with you, well...I feel as though I trust you more than most people, what I'm trying to say here is, I feel the same way about you." Park fumbled as she looked Blue in the eye.

"Park, remember I'm not your boss when I'm off duty, mostly when I'm on duty too come to think of it." Blue said as he sipped his whiskey.

"Yes, well my point still stands. I've never really seen any of my colleagues as friends who I can confide in."

Blue looked at Park in pity.

"People in our line of work rarely have that leisure." Blue said softly.

Park smiled as she moved her face to Blue and kissed him. Over their shoulder they heard Adler mutter under his breath. Neither of them paid any attention to it.

Verdansk:

"Did you at least complete the procedure on Adler?" asked Perseus as Rachel nodded.

"Yes we completed it on Adler, we mostly completed it on Blue but he escaped before we could truly complete it." Rachel said as she looked over to her mother shaking her head at her.

As Perseus left Rachel's mother approached.

"Did you help him escape?"

"No, mother. But I feel sickened by betraying him like this, all he gave up to protect us when he was with us and now we're trying to strip him of his name and personality." Rachel whispered.

"You still care for him, even though he has proved time and again that he doesn't for you. You think if he cared about you he would have escaped without trying to save you first. He abandoned us to this." Rachel's mother said as Rachel had to restrain herself from slapping her mother.

"He'll come to our aid when we need it most, believe that." Rachel whispered.

"Blue will abandon us again when he learns the truth of who his mother is."

London:

Blue and Park were decoding previously unsolved transmissions that had been coming over the radio.

"Take the first letter of each word and arrange them into the words." Blue said as Park began following the instructions.

"We know who your mother really is." Park read aloud as Blue slowly turned to face her.

"Rachel, she's trying to defect." Blue said calmly.

"Who's Rachel?" Park asked as Blue checked the message.

"A childhood friend, my guardian angel and the woman who nursed me to health in Verdansk. What she's talking about with my mother I don't know." Blue said as he sat down.

"Could she be talking about your biological mother?" Park suggested as Blue's face grew concerned.

"It doesn't matter, my biological mother is dead anyway, and if she wasn't, then she's got a lot to answer for when it comes to distant parenting." Blue said coldly.

"But Blue this could be your only chance to find out who you really are, find out all the answers to the questions you must have had for all these years, can you afford to pass on it?" Park said as Blue was in deep thought.

"No, it could be a trap, besides. Rachel isn't like this, she wouldn't leave room for doubt, let's just say she feels a vulnerability about me. She's more of a straight forward type, if it really was her she'd just send me the info and ask for help. None of this cryptic shit." Blue said as he stood up and began pacing. "Unless… it's her mother, decrepit old hag never liked me."

"Why would she be messaging you?" Park said as Adler entered the decryption offices.

"Park...Blue, we think we got something." Adler said as Blue nodded to Adler.

"Let's put a pin on that message, find out what he's got shall we." Blue said calmly as he and Park followed Adler into the common area with the evidence board.

"So, what have you got?" Blue said as he looked at the board.

"It's just a hunch-"

"Adler, hunches are usually our most reliable source, come on." Blue said.

"I think Perseus plans on attacking the UN at an upcoming summit, a summit involving all the world's leaders." Adler said as Blue recognised the plan.

"You're half right, he's planning on attacking the UN and the world leaders. But he won't be dressed in one specific uniform, he'll have people dressed as soldiers from each nation kill off the leader of the rival nation, example: he'll have someone dressed in an American uniform kill the leader of Russia." Blue said leaning against a table when Price and Gaz entered the room.

"Like our first operation with you. You think we'll need help from our old contacts?" Price said as Blue sighed.

"No. I'm not dragging Chloe out of her retirement and back into this life." Blue insisted as he stepped right up to the evidence board noticing something.

"What is it?" asked Park.

"How many bomb disposal experts do we have in our team at the moment?" Blue said as analysed a photo.

"Three, why?" Price answered.

"Take gas masks with you and bring me some bomb disposal experts we can trust, the soldiers are just a contingency plan for Perseus." Blue said as he left and headed for the armory.

Blue began to clean his XM4. Park stormed in behind him.

"Blue you can't go on a mission until you're declared medically fit for duty." Park said as Blue turned to face her.

"What makes you think I'm not in good enough condition to take part in missions?" Blue said.

"Look at you, you just came out of having shrapnel removed from your leg this morning, you only recently escaped capture by Perseus agents and your wounds are still healing, for all we know they could have brainwashed you again!" Park said as Blue stood bewildered.

"Oh please! I've been doing this kind of stuff in worse condition than this since I was a fucking kid, and I done it alone." Blue said.

"Blue, if you and Adler pass the medical tests then feel free, but until then I'm pulling rank and grounding you to this base." Park said as Blue's jaw dropped.

"You're serious? Pulling rank? On me?" Blue said in disbelief.

"You brought me here because you knew I would question your decisions, well, I'm going against them right now to make sure that this operation comes off." Park snapped.

"Fine, I'll pass your damn exams, every last one of them." Blue said as he left the armory.

Park breathed a sigh of relief only to hear Samantha laugh.

"You heard all that didn't you?" Park said calmly.

"Every word of it ma'am. Congratulations, very few have ever made that boy back down from something like that." Maxis said as she approached Helen.

"He brought me in because of that reason. He's wiser than most but even he makes mistakes." Park said as Maxis smiled.

"He brought me here because like you I earnt his trust. And he needed someone like me." Maxis said as Park's eyes darted to Maxis.

"Someone like you?"

"Someone who can handle things that are considered too strange for anyone to cover up, me and requiem investigate." Maxis said smoothly as she left the armory. Park was stood alone in the armory.

1½ hours later:

Blue stepped into the infirmary to see Park and the doctor talking.

"Ah, Blue...Adler you're both here. Me and the chief medical officer will be examining your results. Onto the treadmills please." Park said somewhat pleasantly as Blue and Adler both got onto the separate treadmills.

Blue and Adler were told to run for as long as they could. While Adler managed three miles Blue managed ten, getting off the treadmill he was barely sweating.

"Next, pull ups please." Park said calmly as Blue yet again outperformed the highest Adler or Park had ever seen anyone accomplish.

Blue took a small drink of water before he was told to assume the sit up position, Blue managed to reach 500 sit ups before stopping as not to show off.

"Press ups." Park said, knowing Blue was never a fan of press ups.

"You're shitting me? You know I have a hatred of press ups don't you?" Blue said as he began to get into the press up position.

Blue reached 250 press ups before downright refusing to do another one.

"Okay, follow me to the shooting range gentlemen." Park said as she led Blue and Adler to the firing range.

"Tell you what, give me a blindfold and I could do this easily." Blue said defiantly.

"No, no blindfold for now, just hit the target." Park said as Blue picked up the colt. Blue drew his gun fast and felt a twinge of pain in his shoulders that threw his aim off, Adler hit the target and placed his pistol back on the table.

After a second missed shot Blue looked back at Adler and Park before returning his view to the target, Blue approached the target while firing at it, hitting the rest of the shots in the chest of the target.

As Blue passed Park and Adler he placed the gun on the table and left for the restroom.

Blue rinsed his face in the sink before pulling out a flip knife and burying it into his shoulder before wedging out a piece of previously undiscovered shrapnel. The shrapnel fell into Blue's hand and was washed when Blue held his hand under the tap.

Blue bagged up the shrapnel and took it to Park.

"Have that analysed, for your eyes only." Blue said calmly as he handed the fragments to Park.

Blue was sent into a meeting room with a suit.

"Okay, we're going to start with some simple word associations, for example I'll say day and you'll say-"

"Wasted." Blue sighed as he looked around the room.

"Very well. Gun."

"Fired."

"Agent."

"Unknown."

"Woman."

"Subtle."

"Heart."

"Sights."

"Sky."

"Anti-air."

"CEO."

"Hag."

"Beauclair" Blue stared at the man. "Beauclair" the man repeated.

"Done." Blue stated before walking out.

"That went well." Adler said to Park behind the two way mirror.

"Better than I expected at the mention of that word." Park said as she stepped out to see Blue storm into his office and slam the door shut.

"What even is Beauclair?" Adler said to Park.

"It's not my place to say, but it does hold a great deal of meaning to Blue, I would recommend keeping the word out of any conversation. Let's say it's a very sensitive subject." Park said as She noticed Blue set himself to work in his office. As Park walked over to Blue's office Blue sighed and kicked his desk.

When Park walked into Blue's office the first thing she noticed was the spots on the paper on Blue's desk that were wet. When Park looked over the desk she saw Blue sitting there crying.

"You knew what my reaction would be to that word and you still decided to use it." Blue sobbed as he glanced over to a photo desk photo of Anarietta.

Blue looked back to Park who wore a disapproving look on her face.

"You need to pull yourself together if you want to pass the tests and lead this team." Park said harshly as Blue looked up to her.

"Park I can't, Okay! I can't pull myself together because there are too many fucking pieces." Blue snapped as he stared at her.

"I know you get upset by Beauclair, but why are you so upset with it being mentioned today?" Park asked as Blue grabbed the desk photo and slammed it face down onto the table.

"Because, she- I made a promise to her before I left. I promised that I would protect her at all costs, her sister was also included in that promise, let's just say I failed and leave this whole discussion at that." Blue insisted as he stood.

"Come on, we have more tests to run." Park said before Blue pulled out a small shot glass and poured some whisky into it before gulping the shot down.

"Why bother, we both know I've failed the psychological test." Blue said walking up to Park.

"Maybe, maybe not, you'll have to wait and see won't you." Park said in a somewhat casual manner.

As Blue followed her to the firing range Park handed Blue his signature colt M1911. She pressed a button and targets began to move around on the range.

Blue immediately drew his pistol and fired straight into the head of each target before reloading and putting another round into the heads of the same targets.

Park took something down on her clipboard as Blue Placed his colt back in the armory.

"Come on, one more test." Park said before she took Blue to a decoding office and handed him a decoded message, before she had even turned her back Blue had decrypted the message.

'You're ready for this.'

"Are you Blue? Are you ready to return to the fold with a full bill of health?" Park said as she looked Blue dead in the eyes.

"Yes, now...let's go stop world war three." Blue said heading to his armory locker and preparing his equipment, Park and Adler followed Blue to the locker room before opening their own lockers. Park pulled out her MP5 and walther ppk 9mm short pistol. Adler pulled out his M16 and standard issue M1911.

General assembly building, 1 week later:

Blue, Park, Adler, Woods, Price, Gaz, Portnova, Maxis, Mason and Sims were situated on the roof of the General Assembly building. As soon as anything happened out of the ordinary they were to breach through the roof and protect the world leaders.

"B.D, any news on the N6 bombs?" Blue said in the comms.

"Negative sir. This stuff is tricky business." the disposal expert said as Blue sighed.

"Alright, just be careful." Blue answered as he began to tense up in preparation for the mission. Park noticed this but decided not to say anything.

"Security, calling it in, a large group of armed hostiles moving towards the meeting hall." a security guard said as Blue nodded to the team.

"Okay people, showtime. Adler, light the fuse." Blue ordered as the group took cover behind a vent and Adler lit the five second fuse, running to cover.

The breaching explosives went off and the roof collapsed as the team deployed ropes and rappelled down into the hall as the armed group of hostiles entered the room.

"Everyone down, Now!" Blue ordered the world leaders as he moved up to a desk for cover.

"Who are you people? We don't bow to terrorists!" said a woman's voice to Blue's right.

"Prime minister Thatcher, I'm with MI6, follow my colleagues orders and you'll be safe!" Park said to the woman.

"Ma'am, keep your head down. Adler, you and Maxis take the leaders and civilians out of here, me and the rest will give cover fire!" Blue ordered.

As Adler and Maxis led the civilians and leaders away Blue emerged from around the cover with his XM4 and began methodically clearing the room of enemies. Park moved up with Blue, the two working as one to push the attackers onto the back foot. Woods and Mason took the left flank while Portnova and Sims took the right. Together the team were a force to be reckoned with, quickly dispersing the front line of hostiles.

"Baker, zeyna, tell me you got those bombs diffused?!" Blue said as a bullet hit the cover near him.

"Two out of four sir!" Baker said over the comms.

"Copy that, we'll keep these bastards occupied until you notify us." Blue said as he poked his head over cover and took out another three attackers.

"Blue, heavily armored hostile dead ahead!" Park called out as the armored enemy fired short bursts from an RPD.

"Shit, bastard's a walking fortress. Park, I'll take any idea here." Blue said as he looked around for something to penetrate the armor.

Blue looked over to the juggernaut to see a gap between the helmet and the vest. Blue drew his 1911 and charged at the juggernaut, disarming the hostile of the RPD before shoving the pistol between the helmet and vest of the suit and firing three times, Blue then knocked the helmet off the enemies head and shot him in the head twice before diving to cover.

"They're beginning to fall back!" Park called as Blue opened fire on the enemies falling back.

"Baker, have you diffused the bombs?!" Blue asked as he heard static over the radio. "Baker, Zeyna, do either of you read me?!"

"Have they diffused the bombs?!" Park asked as she and the rest of the squad regrouped near Blue.

"I can't reach them, Adler, have you got the civilians clear of the AO?" Blue said as he moved up to press the advantage against the enemy.

"Affirmative, everyone accounted for."

"See if you can contact Baker and zeyna." Blue ordered as Park looked over to him.

Blue and the rest of his squad got outside into the street and cleared the rest of the hostiles before heading to check on the world leaders.

"Blue, I'm getting nothing but static on my end." Adler said as Blue looked at the entrance Baker and Zeyna used.

"Adler, keep the rest safe, rest of the squad form a defensive perimeter around the civilians, I'm going in to check on Baker and Zeyna." Blue said as he began to head for the entrance.

"What if the nova 6 has gone off?" Park said as Blue paused for a moment.

"I'll hold my breath." Blue said casually as he headed down into the basement. Park sighed as Blue entered the basement, her mind put at ease by a supportive Adler.

"Park, hey, that kid managed to drag both himself and me out of a perseus controlled country, he's one of the toughest SOBs I know, he'll get out of there." Adler said as Park smiled. "Just don't tell him I said that. I'll never hear the end of it."

As Blue moved into the basement the first thing he noticed was the lack of lights.

"Baker, Zeyna, you read me?" Blue tried as he moved into the basement, the constant feeling of being watched was unsettling, even for Blue.

Moving through the tight, coverless corridors, was making Blue feel like he was about to be ambushed. Blue approached the first diffused bomb. He pulled out a glow stick and put it on the floor to mark where he had been. Blue proceeded cautiously through the corridors, checking his corners. His torch mounted on his gun began to flicker as he moved slowly into the underground labyrinth.

"Adler, Park, you two still got my signal?" Blue asked as he found a headset on the floor.

"Barely we're...of interference?" Park's voice said over the radio as Blue heard a gunshot down the corridor. He broke into a full on sprint as he bolted through the maze of corridors to the sound of the gunshot as he reached the location of the shot all he could find was a bullet casing on the floor.

"The fuck?" Blue said to himself as he heard more shots deeper in the labyrinth, again darting to the source of them to investigate. Blue found the location where the shots were fired and an undiffused nova 6 bomb, Blue knew time was running out and made the decision to try and diffuse the bomb. As he pulled out his knife he heard footsteps approaching from behind, Blue turned on his heel and drew his gun, the flashlight shining at Baker.

"Blue, what are you doing down here?"

"We couldn't reach you so I came down here to check the situation. Why the hell are you out of breath and where's Zeyna?" Blue said as he lowered his gun.

"We got split up, there's something down here Blue, it ain't fucking human, at least up close. Blue this thing killed most of the Perseus guys down here, ripped them to fuckin shreds." Baker said sincerely.

"Fine, we'll find here when we've diffused this bomb, cover me while I finish this up." Blue said as he knelt down and cut four wires in a specific order. "What did this thing look like?"

"It stood up and looked around six feet tall and was really skinny. It can't have been more than 150 pounds. It's eyes glowed. Sir I've been serving in the military for years, I've seen some shit, but this thing scared the fuck outta me." Baker said as Blue began to formulate a theory.

"Got this one, right...let's find Zeyna and get you two the hell out of here." Blue ordered as he and Baker moved down the corridor checking their corners.

"How are you so damn calm?" Baker asked.

"Simple, I used to fight shit like this daily when I was a kid." Blue said as he saw a gun barrel poke around a distant corner.

"Zeyna?!"

"Sir, we need to go now!" Zeyna said as Blue led them to the exit by retracing the glow sticks, the trio surfaced as they heard a roar from the basement.

Blue went back into the basement and returned a few minutes later slightly bloody and carrying the bagged up corpse of the creature. The other bomb disposal experts went into the basement and diffused the final bomb.

Before anyone looked in the bag Maxis picked up the bag and took it to her specialist truck.

The team returned to the London HQ for debrief.

"Sir, in the basement…" Baker began but was cut off by Maxis.

"We can talk about that another time." She said as Blue cleared his throat to bring attention back to the debrief.

"Anyway, we managed to stop this plan but if I know my brother, he had more, everyone get back to work and get me a lead, Maxis...a word." Blue said as he led her to his office.

"Yessir?" Maxis said stepping into Blue's office.

"I want a full autopsy done on that basement creature and a copy of it sent to Me and Weaver, understood?" Blue said somewhat coldly.

"Of course sir, anything else?" Samantha said as Blue went back to work.

"No thank you." Blue calmly said as Samantha left the office and Yennefer entered. "Mum. how are you holding up?"

"I'm fine, thank you. What about you and that Park? You two seem to be getting friendly." Yennefer said as Blue laughed.

"Yes, that we are. She's made me realise that I have to move past Anarietta, if I don't, I'll be drowning in self pity for the rest of my life." Blue said, his voice sounding somewhat warm but also cold.

"I hope things work out, I'd say you've earnt some good news." Yennefer said as Blue smiled.

"So, have you heard anything from back home? Dad and Ciri are doing fine?" Blue asked as he noticed Adler glaring at him from outside.

"From what I last heard they're doing great, they're travelling the continent doing jobs for a while, they said that they might visit soon." Yennefer answered as Blue gave an affectionate smile at the thought of seeing his family again after so long separated from them.

"Then we both have one more thing to fight for. Let's make this place as safe from the threat of Perseus as we can, shall we." Blue said with extra incentive in his voice.

Yennefer smiled proudly as she left the room and Park entered.

"Ding next please. Yes, what is it Park?" Blue joked as he continued reading his dossiers of potential recruits.

"Blue that message from Verdansk, about your mother, we intercepted some files sent from Perseus, one of them I think you know." Park said as she presented Blue with three dossiers.

"Get me Price, now." Blue ordered as he opened the first one.

Park immediately ran over to Price's office.

"Captain, the boss has something important for you." Park said as Price stood up from his desk and followed Park to Blues office.

"You have something sir?" Price said as Blue pointed at the folders on the desk.

"We intercepted these being sent from verdansk to Moscow." Blue said as he stood behind his desk with a look of disbelief.

"What does Perseus want with Chloe and the Drakes?" Price asked as Blue took a deep breath.

"We don't know, but whatever it is we're putting a stop to it. Assemble the troops who worked with us on our first mission, the original crew, Park I want you on this too, we're going to find the location of our friends, and if necessary we're going to rescue them. No one fucks with our friends and gets away with it." Blue ordered as he, Price and Park made their way to the armory, Price rallied the troops he and Blue first worked with.

"They're ready sir." Price said as the troops stood lined up looking at Blue.

"Okay, listen up people cause I'm only going to say this once. Perseus is targeting our old friend Chloe frazer, and her allies, we don't know why he wants her, but to be frank we couldn't give a monkey's left bollock what they want. We're going to go and help our friends, understood?!" Blue said as Park had a smile on her face at Blue stepping up for the speech.

"Sir yes sir!" the troops called as Blue readied his XM4 and Colt M1911.

"Right, over to Park for details." Blue said as he stepped down from the armory bench and prepared at his locker.

"MI6 have been able to track down the Drakes, they're in a quiet neighbourhood in america until recently they were living a normal life, that however has changed, we've heard on the grapevine that Perseus is sending troops there tonight, and has given them kill or capture orders. We'll arrive there before the enemy to get dug in and hold them off, once the hostels have been eliminated the clean up crew will dispose of the bodies while we transfer the Drakes to a safehouse for information on the whereabouts of Chloe Frazer. Dismissed and prep for infiltration." Park said as Blue fitted the agency suppressor on his XM4 and another on his pistol. Blue also sheathed his combat knife into the shoulder strap sheath on his combat vest, he was wearing mostly the same outfit as the assembly siege but this time with no gas mask and all the clothing was grey (apart from the vest, gloves and boots) with a pair of night vision goggles mounted on his helmet.

Blue put the radio earpiece into his ear to hear Park testing the frequency.

"Testing does anyone read?" Park said formally.

"I read loud and clear Park. over and out" Blue said calmly as he counted his magazines.

Blue and the team embarked on a cargo plane heading to the closest airport to the Drakes.

From the airport the team used a convoy of vans to travel to the Drakes neighborhood. They silently moved in on the house up to the front porch.

"Shit, we must be late. We got some spent brass here." Blue whispered over the radio, there was a long silence until a loud smash came from inside the house. "Okay, split into two groups, group two you're with Price, go round the back and move in quietly, Park and the rest of group one, with me, we'll move in through the attic window."

With that Price led a squad of five soldiers around to the back of the building while Blue and his squad used a collapsible ladder to climb up to the attic window and open it. One by one Blue's squad climbed through the window, slowly and quietly making their way to the ladder leading to the upstairs floor of the Drake residence. Another loud smash sounded followed by a thud on the floor. It came from the master bedroom. Blue and his squad stacked up on the door and placed a breaching strip next to the door handle.

Blue used his hands to silently countdown to the breach while Park readied a flashbang. The small controlled explosion detonated and the door flew open, Park threw the flashbang and waited for it to go off, the squad moved into the room, clearing it of Perseus forces and securing it while Price took the explosion as a signal to take the downstairs area.

"Blue, what the hell is going on?" Nathan asked while Blue freed the Drakes from their restraints.

"No time to explain right now, have you heard from Chloe Frazer recently?" Blue said, his tone serious and cold.

"No, not much for the past two years, we were keeping in contact and then she just vanished." Elena said as Blue sighed.

"A soviet agent is after you two and Chloe, we don't know why but we need to get you to safety." Blue said sternly as Nathan and Elena stood up, rubbing their wrists.

"Where do we need to go?" Elena said immediately, noticing that Blue was indeed genuinely worried about their safety.

"We have a HQ in London, you can stay there till this is finished." Blue said as Park began looking through the Perseus agents pockets for any intel that would help them.

Park pulled out a piece of paper with a list of names.

Four hours later:

"Alexi pietro, a soviet strategist by day, terrorist arms dealer by night, the intel we recovered from the Drakes house tells us that he'll be relocated to east Berlin in the event of the mission failing. We'll be infiltrating the same way as last time, we'll be using the U-bahn to pass under the wall, from there we'll make our way to the warehouse where they are meeting up. Prepare for this to be a discrete op." Blue debriefed the entire team. Adler approached Blue and handed him a file.

"Take a look." Adler said as Blue looked through the file.

"The hell, why is Perseus sending people to Algeria?" Blue said with a shocked tone as Adler handed Blue Chloe's file.

"Your friend is a treasure hunter. What if they got something out of her about artifacts that they want?" Adler suggested as Blue raised an eyebrow.

"It's plausible, I want you and a handpicked squad to head to Algeria, observe and report, do what you need to to put a stop to whatever they're doing." Blue answered as he signed off the mission on a clipboard.

"You're putting me in charge of a team?" Adler said, sounding surprised at the sudden show of trust.

"You handled yourself well at the General assembly building, led the civilians to safety and kept your squad alive, you've earnt a little trust." Blue answered, giving Adler a slap on the arm.

Blue and his team made their way to the nearby airport and got onto a passenger plane bound for west Berlin. Blue was sat next to Park for the flight, he was considering what he was going to do when the mission was done and he was out of the job.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Park said bringing Blue from his thoughts.

"Just thinking of what I'm going to do when this is all done, I'll be out of a job when Perseus is finished. Might retire to a beachside town, live in peace, good god, I'll have to do a mundane normal job." Blue said.

"You could always work at a desk in MI6, use your intelligence and let others do the dirty work, I could have you set up with accommodation." Park said, her voice filled with sympathy.

"I wouldn't want to be a burden, besides, we both know I'm better with a weapon than a computer." Blue said calmly as he opened a dossier of Chloe.

"She's something special to you isn't she?" Park said, touching Blue's hand.

"She's one of my oldest friends, yet she's still a mystery to me. One I don't intend on trying to solve." Blue said as he looked through her file.

"How long have you known her?" Park asked.

"Since just after me and Ana- the woman broke up. I felt like I was worthless. Chloe found me and lifted me onto my feet, showed me that I was needed to protect the innocents of this and other worlds." Blue said as Park rested her head on Blue's shoulder.

"How did she do that? Just for future reference." Park said jokingly.

"She talked me down from doing something, breaking one rule I've had for a long time." Blue said as Park began to wonder what the rule was.

"What was the rule?" she blundered.

"I never turn my back on those who need my help." Blue said as Park looked surprised.

7 years ago:

Blue was holding the dead body of his daughter, cradling her in his arms begging her to open her eyes. Chloe and the rest of the team all stood in shock.

"Ellie, come on, please wake up. Wake up, please just do your old dad a favor and wake up." Blue sobbed as Price and Gaz restrained the general responsible.

Blue looked over to General Shepard and picked up the generals 44. Magnum revolver.

Blue stood there looking down at the man responsible for his daughter's death.

"Blue, she wouldn't want you to break the rule. Be better." Chloe said as Blue uncocked the hammer on the revolver before kneeling in front of Shepard.

"I never would break her rule. You got that, I never would!" Blue said through gritted teeth.

1987(Present):

"You allowed him to live?" Park said as she looked into Blue's eyes.

"I was naive and foolish, I thought I could show mercy to change, perhaps maybe help my brother." Blue said as he looked back on that day.

"It's not foolish to show mercy, it makes you human. Don't ever forget your morals that you stand by, your enemies won't, and that's what makes them so important." Park said as she stroked Blue's cheek with her thumb.

"Try telling that to everyone Perseus has killed, I could have killed him in Montenegro, I showed mercy and now he's killing innocents." Blue said as Park leant over to Blue and kissed him on the lips.

"Don't talk like that. None of this is your fault." Park smiled as Blue sighed.

"You're right, of course you're right." Blue said trailing off into a mumble when he began to realise something.

"I know that face, what's wrong?" Park asked as Blue looked for a skyphone.

"We need to message Adler and his team, Perseus is sending people to Algeria to cover up his real plan, and who's carrying it out without even knowing." Blue said as Park threw him a mobile phone.

"Blue, what's the plan?!" Park said as Blue dialed Adlers private number.

"Remember in verdansk, when me and Adler were captured, the people there were constantly banging on about some procedure, but before they were even finished patching me up and getting me ready for this procedure I escaped, Adler was gone for long and was more ready from the lack of real damage, at least physically. What if they finished the procedure on him? what if he has a job to do?" Blue said as the penny dropped in Parks head.

"Adler has been brainwashed?" Park said as Blue gave a grave look.

"A sleeper agent, it wasn't the US that attacked Yamantau a few weeks ago, it was Perseus." Blue said as the phone picked up.

"Park?"

"Adler, you need to stay back at base in Algeria, I repeat, you can't go into that combat zone in Algeria!" Blue said as he looked at Park.

"Why not?" Adler inquired.

"B-b-because...you… have a job to do." Blue said as he felt the old brainwashing hit him at the use of the trigger phrase.

"Understood."

"Blue what are you doing?" Price asked as Blue hung up the phone from Adler and began phoning to a number only he knew.

6-1-1-3-2-4 3-5-4-5-2-7- dial.

"Possibly thousands of Perseus sleeper agents are about to go active and tell their governments to press the big red button, I'm up here and I'm in a plane with a phone...I'm going to stop them." Blue said as the phone on the other end picked up.

"Who is this?"

"Rachel, hi, look I need your help, when I've finished...I'll rescue both you and your mother. I need you to give me your access key for the universal government landlines and access to disable every nuke in the world." Blue said as he began to think for a moment.

"Promise you'll save me?" Rachel said.

"Yes, I promise, I'll take you wherever you like for your retirement. But I need that information now." Blue said as he put the phone on the loudspeaker.

"Ooh, you know you're quite sexy when you sound like that, here you go. For the landlines it's 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1. For the nukes it's 6-2-1-1-2 3-5 5-8-6 7-3-5-2. Now...make sure my retirement plan isn't rubble." Rachel said as Blue had to hang up and swiftly dial the nuke number to disable every nuke in the world. He then dialed the landlines to every single nation's leader, making sure that the phone would translate for him.

"Leaders of the worlds nations, any minute now you will be told by one of your agents that your enemies are about to attack, they're not, that agent is brainwashed into being a sleeper agent, you are to send them to London they will be met by my team and helped to shake free the brainwashing. Me and my people will stop the party responsible for the brainwashing. Thank you for your time and I promise I will stop the people responsible." Blue said as he opened the comms to the pilot.

"Take us to Verdansk, I know where they have Chloe."

"How?" Park said.

"Because I traced the call I made to Rachel, it's coming up in Verdansk. Damien would be keeping Rachel and his leverage on her close, along with the most crucial part of his plan." Blue said as he looked over to Park.

"What are we going to do when we arrive sir?" Gaz said.

"Our backup won't arrive in time, so we'll have to move in quietly, no alarms, other than that, we make this up on the fly." Blue said as Park received a phone call.

"Yes sir, I'll tell him immediately."

"Something wrong?" Blue asked as Park covered the phone with her hand.

"The Prime minister is sending troops to help in the attack, they should arrive shortly after we touch down." Park answered as the troops' faces lit up.

"How are they getting to Verdansk?"

"Beach assault." Park said as Blue's face turned stone cold in panic.

"What?! This isn't fucking Normandy. They'll be massacred if this isn't pulled off right." Blue protested.

"Prime minister Thatcher wants to speak to you." Park said as she heard Price's brow furrow.

"Ma'am with due respect a beach assault will lead to those soldiers being massacred like D-day." Blue said with authority in his voice.

"I am in charge of your unit-"

"Actually you're not, we're independent from all countries. Like the UN of counter terror. Look y-yo-you ne- SHUT UP! If you want any hope of pulling this off then you will need to bombard the beach with fire from the warships before even thinking about sending people in." Blue snapped. The Prime Minister paused for a moment.

"The invasion begins in six hours, either stay out our way or bring Perseus to us dead or alive, that's the only way to stop it." Thatcher said as Blue handed the phone back to Park.

"What did she say?" Price said as Park hung up.

"We've got six hours before the invasion starts, if that happens...lotta people are going to die. Old hag." Blue said as he checked in with the pilot.

"We're coming up on Verdansk." the Pilot said as Blue grabbed his gear and a parachute.

"What are you doin'?" Price asked as Blue stuffed a walkman into his vest before opening the cargo door. Park approached Blue.

"Someone has to get the anti air defenses at the airport offline. I'm the best shot we have at doing that. Besides, I need my two second in commands leading the troops off this plane." Blue said as he approached Park and handed her his dog tags before kissing her goodbye. "I love you, Park."

Blue jumped from the back of the cargo plane and into free fall, Park stuffed the dogtags into her jacket pocket before closing the cargo door.

Blue was falling as he looked back on all that he had done throughout his life, upon reaching 2000 feet he opened the parachute and paraglided onto the roof of the airport, swiftly discarding the parachute on impact before pulling his equipment from his duffel bag. Blue threw the bag aside and readied his XM4, moving up to a collapsing part of the roof and sliding down through the roof and onto the second floor, taking out two guards before pushing up to the stairs, trying to avoid being spotted. As he moved in, Blue felt a small gust of wind pass him, looking around to check that a door wasn't open. He was alarmed by the complete lack of a door that could have generated the strange gust of wind that had passed him.

"Fuck?" Blue muttered under his breath as he peeked out of a window. Blue could see the AA guns. He slowly moved to the stairs with his weapon raised as he.

"Blue, this is Park. We're nearing the range of those AA's." Park said as Blue began to pick up the pace. Blue approached one of the guns and placed C4 on it before moving up to the next one and placing more C4 on it.

Blue sprinted for cover before detonating the C4.

"Guns of Navarone are done for." Blue said as he began hotwiring a jeep. Perseus soldiers moved in on Blue who was forced to dive from the car and return fire. "I'm pinned here. This flight best not have any technical issues!"

"Blue! Stay in cover, we're landing in five minutes!" Park said as she heard gunfire.

"Five minutes! What is that a British Airways flight stopping in Indochina?!" Blue said as more soldiers arrived.

Blue began blindfiring over the cover trying to simply suppress the enemy. The enemies closing in on his position. Blue pulled out a grenade and threw it at a cluster of enemies.

"Head down, incoming fire from the side cannons!" Park said as heavy machine gun fire ripped through the group of enemies.

"Positive hit, you're good to land!" Blue said over the radio.

"Copy that, coming in for landing." The pilot said. The cargo plane began coming in for landing as Blue received a radio call.

"This is Mossad control, we're sending you backup to assist in any capacity."

"I know that voice, Lazar?" Blue said over the radio as a helicopter landed next to Blue with a squad of Mossad soldiers. "Couldn't resist me huh?"

"You tend to find the trouble we all like. Gentlemen, this is Blue, the crazy son of a bitch who saved my life in Cuba." Lazar said as his squadmates saluted Blue.

Price, Park and the rest of the troops disembarked from the plane.

"Blue, Perseus has control of the nukes again, he's arming each one, I'd say we have twenty minutes before those missiles launch." Park said as Blue formulated a plan.

"Okay, Price, take the troops and destroy the beach defences, clear a path for the invasion force, when it's clear give the go ahead. Park...you, Lazar and his people are coming with me to get Damien, this ends with him in cuffs or a body bag." Blue said as he picked up ammo from fallen Perseus agents.

Price took his men to a truck and began to drive off while Blue's group stepped onto the transport helicopter that Lazar arrived in.

The chopper flew off in the direction of Perseus' base at the location commonly known as 'Summit'.

"Sir, any idea what we're going to be met with?" one of Lazar's men asked.

"All I know is that this place will be defended well, just watch your fire, we have non combatants in the area, the main priority is stopping the nukes, Perseus is just the secondary." Blue said as the chopper began to descend.

The minute of descending was long, everyone on the chopper began to see their lives flash before them, they were making their peace with the concept that not everyone would be coming back.

The chopper touched down and the team moved out into cover, Perseus troops were flooding out into the wide space outside the gondola station.

Park moved up around the left flank with three other troops while Lazar and three more went around the right flank, Blue and the final three troops moved up through the center of the combat zone, the three groups moved up together, moving from cover to cover.

Moving in on the station Blue kept his head on a swivel as he pushed up.

"Move in now!" Blue said over the radio, the three teams pushed through the doors, checking their corners and efficiently eliminating any hostiles.

As Blue and his team went to step onto a gondola a sniper bullet hit the side of it.

"Park, put the machine into full speed." Blue said as he ran after the leaving gondola. Blue jumped onto the bottom of the vehicle and clung onto the small bars at the bottom. His equipment makes it a difficult task with the extra weight. As the gondola approached the opposite station Blue climbed inside and then jumped through the car window into the station, shooting the sniper in the chest twice before putting an extra round in the head for good measure. "It's clear for you all to move up now."

As Park approached in the gondola Perseus agents stormed into the control room and opened fire on Blue.

"Blue, what's going on over there?" Lazar asked as a bullet hit Blue in the right shoulder.

"I'm fine, just hurry up!" Blue said, trying to hide the wound as he returned fire. Park and her team used their weapons to smash the gondola car windows and open fire on the Perseus agents attacking Blue.

"Blue move up, we have them pinned!" Park said as she and her team disembarked the gondola and got to cover. Blue pushed up while Lazar and his men arrived.

"Move, now." Blue said as he approached the facility where Perseus was hiding.

The group moved up to the doors and placed a breaching charge on the door, Blue detonated the charge before moving in and clearing the room before any of his allies entered the room.

As they moved further into the facility, Park was hit by a round in the stomach.

"Shit! Lazar, get her to the chopper for med-evac, the rest of you with me." Blue said, his voice indicating that it was the last straw for him. Blue and the Mossad squad pushed through the facility, Blue was wiping the floor with enemy soldiers. His injury slowly getting worse.

'Arg, fuck!' Blue thought to himself as he felt the wound begin to play up. Blue was beginning to slow, his mind yelling for him to push faster.

"Clear!" one of the Mossad soldiers said as they secured the room outside of the facility control room.

"Okay, three...two...one, GO!" Blue said as he breached through the door. Perseus agents disarmed Blue and the soldiers, forcing them to their knees. Blue silently whispered to the men to wait for his signal before attacking.

"Hello… Brother." Damien said as Rachel was shoved through the door, bound and gagged next to her mother.

"Thought she was your wife." Blue smirked as Damien approached Blue with a makarov pistol.

"Careful, we don't want the rest of these people dying on your conscience now do we." Damien mocked as Blue counted nine agents holding them at gunpoint. "I have you trapped, no way out this time."

"Oh if I had a quid for every time that was said to me I'd own half the world by now. This trap has a great big mistake in it."

"Have I! I'll love this, go on then, tell me what my mistake is." Damien said mickingly.

"What, has no one ever tell you, there's one thing you never put in a trap if you're smart, if you value your continued existence, if you have any plans about seeing tomorrow, there's one thing you never ever put in a trap." Blue said as he stared directly into Damiens eyes.

"What's that Brother?"

"Me."

Blue disarmed Perseus and used the Makarov pistol to shoot an enemy, the Mossad soldiers all attacked the agents and took their guns back, Perseus began to make a run for the exit while Blue rescued Rachel and her mother. Blue then sprinted after Damien, makarov in hand as he chased him to the Gondola station leading to the nearby mountaintop.

Damien got into a gondola while Blue had to jump for the bottom bars again, this time barely catching them with one hand, Blue climbed into the car while Damien repeatedly tried to kick him off. Blue was ignoring the pain in his right shoulder.

Damien resorted to pulling Blue into the car before pinning him to the floor and proceeding to beat him. Blue was lucky enough to dodge and attack and use the window of opportunity to kick Damien off of him, the two quickly recovered to their feet and set to a brutal exchange of attacks, both of them bloodied after a few minutes and Blue practically dead on his feet. Damien smiled knowing Blue was in position to be beaten unfairly.

Damien drew a knife from his pocket. Blue could see it faintly through his bloodied eye, struggling to his feet Blue managed to stop a slash before headbutting Damien on the nose and then shoulder barging him in the chest, Damien still had the knife as Blue went in to disarm him Damien lunged into Blue, while Blue dodged the attempted stab Damien buried his thumb in Blue's bullet wound, the pain caused Blue to fall to the floor as blood began to spurt from his shoulder in small amounts.

Blue took one deep breath as Damien went for another stab to finish Blue off, Blue dodged and used his momentum to disarm Damien and throw the knife out of the car. Blue punched Damien across the jaw before slamming his head through every single window on the car. Blue then fractured Damiens jaw, followed by cracking three of his ribs and dislocating his left arm. With a knee to the center of the face Damien was knocked out. Blue used zip-ties to restrain Damiens hands as they rode the gondola back to the station, the Mossad soldiers were waiting along with Price and Lazar who were canceling the nukes. Blue handed them the key phrase for the override out of Damiens pocket.

"Blue to Prime minister Thatcher, Perseus is in custody, call off the invasion, I repeat call off the invasion. Mission success!" Blue said over the radio.

"I understand. The invasion has been called off." Thatcher said as Blue breathed a sigh of relief.

6 weeks Later:

"The sudden plans to attack the city are yet to be explained, when questioned Prime minister Thatcher stated that it was 'a false alarm and not to panic'." said the BBC news reporter on the TV.

Blue was sat in MI6 HQ, waiting to see the director, Blue's injuries were healing well, his shoulder was in fighting shape according to the 'totally unbiased' doctor.

As he looked out the window Blue could see a newspaper vendor selling a newspaper most likely full of lies.

"Mr Blue, the Director is ready to see you now." Park's voice said from the doorway. Blue was wearing a newly pressed black three-piece suit with a dark grey tie.

As Blue entered the office he was faced with a man standing behind a desk with a dossier on Blue open, Blue felt eyes beaming from his right, with the knowledge that Park stood to his left Blue looked to instantly recognise Chloe.

"Ma'am." Blue acknowledged as Chloe smirked.

"So Mr Blue, I'll be forward with you so you get back to doing what you do best, we're interested in having you as an agent, alongside Park, you are going to run your current division how you see fit and off the record, the only time you will be required to call us is to notify us of the death of one of your agents or when you see fit to call for help." the director of MI6 said as he handed Blue an MI6 active field agent badge. "So, are you ready to get back to work?"

"With pleasure sir...with pleasure." Blue said as he smirked before opening the file under his badge. As he left the director threw him the Makarov pistol along with a shoulder holster, giving Blue a knowing nod.

Blue left the office and shut the door behind him, immediately being kissed passionately by Park.

"So, Agent Blue, what shall we do now?" Park said teasingly as she handed Blue a pair of car keys. The duo walked to the building's garage to find an Aston Martin DB5, exactly like the one from Goldfinger and the other Bond films.

"Oh. My. God. Park, have I ever told you how much I love you?" Blue said as his eyes lit up, he was as giddy as a school boy.

"Not nearly enough." Park remarked, smirking at Blue.

"Then I best start demonstrating." Blue said as they got into the car and drove off to the newly improved HQ for Blue's team. The two of them went to Blue's quarters, locking the door behind them while the rest of the team was on a well earned rest.
