Chapter 1: Celebrating Masaki Kurosaki's Birthday
Ichigo was still asleep, as he turned over to the other side of his bed.
He ended up opening his eyes as he sat up and sighed.
"Thanks for being in my dream, mom." Ichigo said to himself.
Ichigo grabbed his phone as he opened it and saw that today is his mom's birthday.
Ichigo sighed as he went to messages and messaged his boyfriend, Grimmjow.
"Hey babe, so today is my mom's birthday, not sure what we're doing today but would you like to hang out?" Ichigo texted his lover as he laid back down and waited for a reply.
A knock was heard as Ichigo looked over at his door.
"It's open." Ichigo said.
The door opened as Yuzu walked in.
"Ichigo, mom was in my dream last night…." Yuzu said as she sat on her big brother's bed and cried.
Ichigo pulled his little sister into a hug.
"Want to talk about it? She was in my dream too." Ichigo said.
"She-she- she gave me a hug and told me to be strong and take care of everybody in the house." Yuzu said as she broke down crying.
Ichigo nodded as he rubbed his little sister's hair.
"Yeah, she told me the same thing also. Everything will be okay, sis." Ichigo said.
"Are we still going to her gravesite today?" Yuzu asked.
"Yes. Also I'm bringing Grimmjow." Ichigo said.
"Alright, let's get ready." Yuzu said.
Ichigo nodded as he watched his little sister leave his room.
Ichigo checked on his phone as he got a message from his lover.
"Sure love, I'll be at your house in a few minutes. Just woke up." Grimmjow said.
"Thanks babe, see you then." Ichigo said as he replied back to his lover and he got out of his bed and headed to the restroom to get washed up.
At the kitchen table, Ichigo came downstairs as he sat across from his sisters.
"Good morning." Karin said.
"Hey, are you feeling alright?" Ichigo asked.
"Yes. It seems mom was in all of our dreams." Karin said.
"Yep. Where's dad?" Ichigo asked.
"He went to the liquor store." Karin replied.
Ichigo only nodded.
The three siblings ate their breakfast as they washed their dishes and headed back to their rooms to get washed up.
The doorbell ranged.
Ichigo ran downstairs to answer it.
"Sup babe, is this a bad time?" Grimmjow asked.
Ichigo shook his head with his toothbrush in his mouth.
Grimmjow chuckled as he walked in.
Ichigo led his lover to his room.
Grimmjow sat on his lover's bed as he looked around his room.
Kon then squirmed out under the bed as he yawned.
Grimmjow looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Ahhh! Hey I know you, aren't you the enemy who nearly killed Ichigo?!" Kon asked.
"Not an enemy anymore." Grimmjow replied.
"Sure you're not, but I don't trust you." Kon said.
"Oh well." Grimmjow replied.
Ichigo came back into his room as he saw Kon.
"Is he bothering you?" Ichigo asked his lover.
"Nah, he just got spooked. That's all." Grimmjow said.
Ichigo chuckled.
"Want to spook him out some more~?" Ichigo asked as he got close to his lover and sat on his lap.
Grimmjow grinned as he rubbed Ichigo's back and the two began to makeout.
Kon's face turned bright red as he covered his eyes.
"Stop! Ahhhhh! What are you two doing?! Stop!" Kon said as he ran out of the room.
Grimmjow and Ichigo both stopped kissing each other as they both laughed.
"Such a wimp." Grimmjow said.
"He'll get used to it." Ichigo said.
Ichigo got off his lover's lap as he sat next to him and held his hand.
Karin then came into his big brother's room.
"Hey dad's here, let's get ready to go." Karin said.
"Oh sure! Thanks Karin." Ichigo said.
"Ready to go?" Ichigo asked his lover.
"Sure. I'll be here with you." Grimmjow said.
The two then stood up as they left Ichigo's room and they headed downstairs.
"Oh hello there, didn't know you've come over." Isshin said.
"Sorry dad, forgot to ask, can Grimmjow come along with us today?" Ichigo asked.
"Sure son, no biggie. Let's go." Isshin said.
Everybody then left.
Everybody headed to the gravesite.
"And here's Ichigo taking his first bath.~" Isshin said as he showed Grimmjow a baby picture of baby Ichigo taking a bath.
Ichigo slapped his face.
"Dad, not cool." Ichigo said.
Grimmjow and Isshin chuckled.
"Cranky little stinker huh~?" Grimmjow said.
"Oh yeah, then after ten minutes he's enjoying bath time and doesn't want to get out." Isshin said.
Grimmjow laughed.
Ichigo also laughed.
"Dad, we're almost there." Yuzu shouted.
"Oh sweet." Isshin said.
"Come on guys, this hill is no joke. We are jogging!" Isshin said as he ran up the hill.
"The hell? Can't we just- oh there's no stairs." Grimmjow said.
"Yeah, I hope they get that fixed soon. Come on, let's catch up." Ichigo said.
When they all had reached the top, Isshin popped a bottle of liquor as he held it in the air.
"Cheers. Happy birthday my sweet love." Isshin said.
"Happy birthday mom, hope you're having fun in the afterlife." Ichigo said.
"Happy birthday mama. I miss you everyday but I know you're proud of me." Yuzu said.
"Happy birthday mom, I'm still kicking butt everyday." Karin said.
"Mom, this is my boyfriend, Grimmjow Jaegerjauez. We've been dating for about five months now. I hope you like him." Ichigo said as he held onto Grimmjow's hand.
"Sorry for beating his butt, I was brainwashed." Grimmjow said.
Everyone then laughed at his joke.
Grimmjow laughed also.
"Well this isn't so bad. Visiting mom and just celebrating." Isshin said as he drank some of the liquor.
"I'm sorry for your loss…" Grimmjow said in a sad tone.
"It's alright, she's in a better place watching over us. We hope to see her soon." Ichigo said.
Grimmjow gave Ichigo a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Dad, is it okay if we can head to the park for a bit?" Karin asked.
"Of course, be safe." Isshin said.
Ichigo and Grimmjow decided to follow Karin and Yuzu as they ran back down to the park.
Isshin then took out a cigarette and puffed.
"Happy birthday, dear love." Isshin said as he tapped on the gravesite.
