LILY AND ZACK'S STORY...PART 1
Lily and Zack were kidnapped from their real parents when they were only five years old by G.U.N.. For the first three years, they were experimented on by G.U.N Scientists under the order of Captain Nathan Brown. He wanted to change their names at the time so that they could be used as weapons, and so that the King and Queen wouldn't be able to find them again….
"Forget it! I WON'T CHANGE THEIR NAMES FOR YOUR SICK TWISTED PLOT, CAPTAIN BROWN! NOR WILL I CONTINUE TO EXPERIMENT ON THEM FOR YOU! THEY'RE ONLY LITTLE KIDS! IF WE KEEP THIS UP, IT COULD END UP KILLING THEM!
The head Scientists, Only known as Dr. S, refused to change their names and refused to continue experimenting on them. Stating that if they kept it up it would likely kill them. Captain Brown told Dr. S he didn't care…
"I don't care, Doctor. They are vital to my project. If you don't continue with the experimentation on them, I will see to it that you are incarcerated for your crimes, or court-martialed and marked as a traitor to G.U.N with the death sentences on top of the list!"
That they were vital to his project. He told Dr. S that if she didn't continue with them, he would see to it that she was marked a traitor to G.U.N and incarcerated or court-martial for her crimes against G.U.N. with the death sentences at the top of the list. After he left saying he wanted them to be experimented on twice as much as before and wanted results by the end of the month…
"You have till the end of the month Doctor. I want their experimentation doubled! YOU HAVE TILL THE END OF THE MONTH TO GET ME THOSE RESULTS! IF NOT YOU CAN KISS YOUR TAIL GOODBYE!"
Fearing for the children, along with a few other scientists, looked worried. They knew they had to do something, for if they didn't it would mean the children's lives. When some of them voiced their thoughts of the matter, Dr. S said she would figure something out on her own, that she wouldn't let the Prince and Princess die on her watch, and that she didn't want the rest of them getting involved in the matter. That this was her burden, and her burden alone...
"Doctor, we need to do something before it's too late.
Do not worry, I'll think of something. I won't let this go on. This isn't what I signed up for. This is not what we all signed up for. We signed up to HELP people, not harm them, and turn them into weapons!
Sadie, maybe we should come up with a plan?
No, this is my matter to deal with. I'll figure something out. I want the rest of you to stay out of this.
But…
I SAID I WANT YOU ALL TO STAY OUT OF THIS! I WON'T LET THE REST OF YOU GET INVOLVED AND KILLED BECAUSE OF MY ACTIONS!"
The ones on her side tried to reason with her, but Dr. S was a stubborn woman and told them to drop it. They did and set back to work. Two weeks went by when no results were shown yet. Fearing their impending doom, one of the other Scientists, and closest friend, Grady Moss, a Siberian Husky, and the others came to her office one night when she was working late. He told her he figured out a plan to help get the Prince and Princess out of here, but it would be risky in doing so since they were being watched now…
"I know you told us to stay out of this, Sadie, but we couldn't stand by and let you take the fall on your own. We've been talking of late and I think we came up with a full-proof plan to get the Prince and Princess out of here and to the Freedom Fighters.
The Freedom fighters?!
Yes, I have a…FRIEND… if you would, who works closely with them. I told him what was going on, and our plan. He told us he would help us in saving the kids.
And how is one individual going to help us get out of this mess?
He calls himself… "The Ultimate Life Form".
SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG!? But doesn't he work FOR G.U.N.?!
He does, yes. But unlike this branch. The not so corrupted side of things. I told him who was our commanding officer, and he told me that the higher-ups had their suspicions about Captain Brown for some time now, and had been trying to find the twins ever since they were taken from the castle three years ago.
What is this plan of yours, Grady?
It goes like this...
Grady told her of their plan and she nodded after some time had passed...
"You're right, that is risky. But I HAVE to do it. I can't let the heirs to the throne die for nothing. There are a few key points I am worried about that will need to be ironed out. So let's get to work everyone."
Dr. S told him she had to do it, that they couldn't let the heirs to the throne be killed. He nods and tells her his plan once more, going over the parts that needed fixing. Once everything was ironed out, three days before the results were demanded, Dr. S and Dr. Moss executed their plan of action…
"Be ready, Sadie, it's nearly time to put the plan into motion. The rest of you be ready as well."
When they timed it, the guards would be making their rounds, and everyone they knew they could trust would end up helping. Once the guards came around and moved off, they put their plan into action, everyone doing the job they had. Dr. S and Moss went to get Lily and Zack…
"Alright, they're here. Come on, we don't have much time till Shadow gets here and destroys everything...
FORGET IT! STAY AWAY FROM US YOU MONSTERS!
Easy, Zack, we're here to help you. Not hurt you anymore. I promise.
NO, STAY AWAY FROM US! I WON'T LET YOU HURT US ANYMORE!
Please, kids, I promise, me and Dr. S are only trying to help you. Now come on. We don't have a lot of time!"
They told them that they were going to get them out of here, and someplace safe. Zack was distrustful of both Dr. S and Dr. Moss, but Lilly was a different story. She somehow knew they were telling the truth….
"Zack, come on. They're telling the truth. They don't want to hurt us.
But, Lily!
Please, Zack, if we don't go they will be forced to continue to hurt us. They never wanted any of this.
But..."
Zack wasn't sure, despite the fact of how nice both Doctors were to them after they were tested on. Lilly assured him they were good people, that they never wanted this.…
"A-Alright...but…
KID COME ON! WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!
Hold on, Grady. Zack, what's wrong?
I-It hurts to move.
DAMMIT!
S, what's wrong?
It's fucking Brown. He had us move the twins in smaller cramped cages. To the point, they couldn't move!
I can move.
Yes, you should be able to move about just fine, with all that physical experimentation we've been doing on you. But your brother is another story. Right, Grady, you carry him, Lily you stay close to me. Got it?

Good now, let's go..."
After a bit, Zack nods his head as Grady lifts him from his cage. But because of their cramped living spaces, they were moved to after Captain Brown's last visit, and with little chance to be allowed to move around, on top of the experiments done on him, he was sore and could hardly move, unlike Lily who was let out more for physical experimentation. Lilly started to become worried, Till Dr. Moss took hold of Zack and said he would carry him. But they had to go now before Captain Brown found them.
As they get ready to leave, one of their friends runs in saying that Brown was on his way here, and they had to go now. Stating that there was no time left.
"You guys HAVE to hurry! Captain Brown is on his way here to take the kids and move them once more. He said he's found someone willing to do what he wants. The rest of us are trying to stall him, but we can't hold him back for long. Please, hurry!
Right, let's go.
Hold on, has Shadow gotten a hold of us yet?
No, but…
"Doctor Moss, can you hear me?"
I'm here, Shadow? How much longer? Captain Brown is on his way here!
"EST ten minutes will be there soon. Now hurry to the extraction point, all of you. Will be there soon."
Right… Go and tell the others to be ready, Shadow will be here in…
I don't think so, DOCTOR Moss. Or should I say Special undercover Agent, Leon Wulf?
SHIT! RUN HURRY! GO NOW! I'LL HOLD HIM OFF!

I SAID GO NOW! I KNOW HOW TO HANDLE HIM! TAKE ZACK AND LILY AND GO!"
Agent Wulf hands Zack to the other scientists and yells at them to get going. Leon rams into Captain Brown and his men, knocking them over so Dr. S and the other scientist could get away. With nothing else to do they make a run for it…
"GET THEM! STOP THEM NOW BEFORE THEY GET AWAY!…"
Captain Brown yells at his men as he knocks Leon off him. His men get up and run after Dr. S and the other scientist. Captain Brown growls out as Leon stands up getting ready to fight him…
"And as for you, LEON Wulf. I'm going to end you here and now, and once I am done with you, I'll be going after the kids and sending them to Eggman.
WHAT!? EGGMAN!? YOU WOULDN'T!?
Oh but I would. He has dealt in experimentation on your FILTHY kind before and can give me what I want. Now say goodbye, Mr. Wulf, for this is the LAST time you'll see the light of day…"
Captain Brown pulls out his gun and pulls back the trigger aiming it at Leon, his finger on the trigger, ready to kill him...
"Any last words, AGENT Wulf, before I end your PATHETIC life once and for all?
Yeah, I have something to say?
Which is?…
IT'S ABOUT DAMN FUCKING TIME YOU GOT HERE SHADOW! YOU PATHETIC BIO-FREAK!
WHA?!…"
Captain Brown lowers his gun for a split moment tilting his head when out of nowhere, someone kicks him in the side of the head and sends him flying, knocking him out cold. The figure stands up and looks at Leon and scoffs, as he walks over to him…
"Call me a Bio-Freak again, and I'll be the one to kill you myself.
Yeah, right? I'd like to see you try.
Humph… Where are the kids?
With Sadie. But we have to hurry, Brown's men are after them.
Right… "Rouge, come in over.
"I'm here, Shadow, and I'm already following Brown's men. Omega with me.
I will eliminate all who get in my way. Just say the word, Rouge."
You both know what to do. Protect the good Doctor and the twins at all costs.
"Roger that."
Right, let's go.
You go on ahead, I have to go check on the others and let them know help is here and it's time to fight back. I'm sure if they gave it their…"
As Leon was talking the whole base started to explode on the other side of the building, shaking everything and one. Leon looks to where the explosion came from then back at Shadow who only smiled. Leon smiles back, knowing he would have something planned ahead of time. With a nod, Shadow heads down the right side of the hallway, as Leon takes the left, and goes to help Sadie and the other scientist. But as he headed down the way Sadie and the others went, he heard yelling, screaming and guns being fired off. He growls out as he heads to the sound of the guns, only to find that Sadie had been shot, and the other scientist had been killed…
"ROUGE!? ROUGE, WHERE ARE YOU!?
OVER HERE!
SHIT! ROUGE!?
I-Its alright. I'm fine. Just hurry and go.
But your wing?!
It'll be fine. It's not the first time I've been shot in the wing. I have Omega to get me out of here. But Sadie is hurt, and she needs your help. Now go. Hurry! This place is not going to last much longer!
Right…"
Having to leave Rouge behind, he goes after Sadie and the kids. He sees the trail of blood left behind by Sadie and follows it outside, but he soon comes upon her in the cold icy snow…
SADIE! NO! COME ON, COME ON… STAY WITH ME DAMN YOU!
Le...on…? Is...that...you?
Yes, it's me, who else would it be, you damn cat!
Take...the...twins and...*cough...* run...their...hiding…
NOT WITHOUT YOU!
You...must...hurry...Br...own… cough...cough…"
Doctor Sadie, moans out as she coughs up blood. Turning the snow crimson. Leon takes off his lab coat and holds it over the gunshot wound as he yells out for the kids. He looks around trying to spot them. But instead stops when something else is heading his way. His eyes widened in shock at seeing the robot heading his way. It was one of the base's most powerful guard bots. RGS-2245 codenamed...The Crimson Killer. He curses under his breath as he picks up Sadie and makes a run for it. The Crimson Killer spots them, and calls out to them…
"Stop right now, in the name of G.U.N base Delta Alpha. Or I will have to shoot to kill, under the orders of Captain Brown…"
Leon keeps on running, ignoring the robot. It readies its guns and starts firing at them. He manages to duck out of the way in time, hiding behind a wall. As he holds Sadie in his arms, he spots the kids, at last, hiding behind some metal boxes. When they see Leon, Lily waves to him, and he nods at her, mouthing them to stay where they are. She nods and takes hold of Zack holding him close as the robot stomps closer. Leon peeks around the corner, seeing that the robot was looking the other way. Taking his chance, he shifts Sadie in his arms and makes a run for it, to where the kids were. At the last second, just as the robot was turning back around, he managed to dive for cover, with the kids. They run over to him, and hug him, just as he rests Sadie on the ground…
"Doctor Moss! YOU FOUND US!
Yes, and just in time too. Also, my real name is Leon Wulf. I work for Westopolis' G.U.N branch.
What?!
I was sent here to find you kids to bring you home.
Home? We...have a home?
Yes, you two are…"
Just as he was about to tell them who they were, the robot finds them and he curses himself. Taking hold of Sadie once more, he asks if Zack can move now. Zack nods his head and Leon tells them to run. Once again the robot tells them to surrender or it would shoot. But they make a mad dash just as the robot readies its guns once more. They manage to find a new hiding spot this time, but the moment they take a rest, Sadie starts coughing once more. Lily and Zack grow worried, as they look at one another, and then at Leon…
"I-Is she going to be OK? She will, won't she?
She has to be OK. She saved us, Mr. Leon! PLEASE, SAVE HER!
Listen, kids…"
Once again the robot finds them and starts shooting. It misses them, as they make a run for it once more. They keep on running till they end up in a wide-open area with little place to hide. Growling out, as he spots an overhanging bit of rock. He tells them to run that way. The kids do as they're told, but Zack ends up tripping. Leon growls out as he looks back at them and runs back over to them…
"Come on, you two, we don't have all day!
I...I can't keep running anymore! I'm too tired!
You have to keep running, Zack or that robot will get us!
BUT I CAN'T!
ZACK, COME ON!…"
Lily tugs at her brother's arm forcing him up onto his feet just in time as a new round of shots were fired. Leon struggles with Sadie as he tells the kids to keep moving when they look behind them. Lilly calls out stopping for only a moment to wait for Leon and Sadie…
"LEON, HURRY!
LILY COME ON! WE HAVE TO MOVE BEFORE THAT ROBOT GETS HERE!
NOT WITHOUT DR. S AND MR. LEON!
LILY!
NO!
KIDS RUN! NOW! DON'T WORRY…"
Leon yells at the kids to not worry about him and Sadie, but just as he does the robot lands in front of them, its back turned to Leon. Leon falls over, dropping Sadie near him as he does as he watches in horror as the robot readies its guns...
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE KIDS! YOU GOING TO COME WITH ME NICE AND QUIET LIKE, OR I'LL SHOOT!..."
LEON HELP US!
KIDS! NO! RUN! HURRY! RUN!…"
Lily holds onto Zack, both too scared to move. The icy wind picks up as it blows around them, as Leon gets up to help the kids. But at the last second, Lily snaps out of it, and grabs a hold of her brother's wrist, and pulls him along as they make a run for it. Forgetting Sadie, he runs after the kids, taking out his gun and firing at the robot. It pings off his heavy armor as it stops and turns around. Aiming its guns at him. Leon steps back in fear as Zack looks behind him and pulls his wrist free of his sister's hold. He stops and looks on as the robot points at Leon ready to shoot. Lily realized that Zack wasn't with her anymore, looks behind her seeing him a few feet away, and runs back to him, just as the robot shoots, and hits Leon. The kid's eyes widen in shock as they see him go down…
"MR. LEON! NOOOOO!"
Lilly yells out just as someone jumps on them, forcing them down into the snow just as the robot shoots. Lily screams out as Zack curls up into a ball, as shots are heard and an explosion goes off. Lily, Zack, and the one who saved them look up seeing the robot finally destroyed, and not too far off the one who was controlling it. The one who was controlling it groans out as he slowly gets up, and pulls out a gun, and stands up on shaky feet…
"I told you brats that you're coming with me. Now, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way? Either way is fine with me. So long as I get my weapons I'm happy. Now come along or else.
Forget it, Brown. I won't let you hurt them!
What's this? Who are you?!
The names Tundra. Leader of the Northern Resistances! I don't know who these kids are, but I'm not going to let a mad man such as yourself have them. Surrender now, or you will be faced with my wrath!…"
Tundra stands up, pushing the kids behind her. She was a massive polar bear with a scared right eye, with an eye patch covering it, and a missing left ear. Though her outer exterior looked rough with her battle scars showing, she was in truth a gentle soul. But she would be damned if she let this man have children. Growling out she readies herself, when Leon jumps onto Captain Brown's back, knocking him over. Brown and Leon fight one another, as Lily and Zack watch on from behind Tundra. She growls out when Leon yells out to her…
"GO! TAKE THE KIDS! KEEP THEM SAFE! I'M COUNTING ON YOU!
MR. LEON, NO! YOU HAVE TO COME WITH US!
GO! TAKE THEM NOW! I'LL BE FINE!.."
Lily tries to run to Leon but Tundra grabs a hold of her and picks her up, along with Zack, and runs. The kids watch as Leon gives them one last smile before Brown punches him and knocks him in the snow, and picks up his gun and aims it at him. Zack hides his face in Tundra's shoulder, as Lily tries to remove herself to try and to help Leon. But it did no good. Tundra's hold was too strong. Lily cries out, reaching out to Leon, calling out his name, just as Tundra jumps down the hill, the gun could be heard going off. Lily screams out just as Tundra meets the rest of her team. She sets the kids down, and this gives Lily the chance to go after Leon, but someone stops her…
"LET ME GO! I HAVE TO GO BACK AND HELP HIM! HE SAVED US! BOTH HIM AND DR. S! PLEASE!
Listen, kid. It's no good. He's gone. I'm sorry. But right now we need to go. We set out what we came to do. And that was to destroy this base with the help of Shadow.
But...but...LEON!...We...can't….he...SAVED US!…"
Tundra sighs out as she walks back over to the kids. She kneels and places a hand on Lily's shoulder. She looks at her in the eyes and they hold their gaze, till Lily breaks down crying and jumps into her arms. Sighing out, Tundra wraps arms around her, just as Zack comes over crying as well. The one with them looks down at them, heartbroken. With folded ears, he yells out to the rest of the team…
"ALRIGHT, EVERYONE! IT'S TIME TO MOVE OUT! WE HAVE CHILDREN AND OTHERS WITH US! WE ACCOMPLISHED WHAT WE SET OUT TO DO, SO LET'S RETURN HOME AND TAKE CARE OF THE INJURED!... Tundra?
Take the children with you. I'm going back.
But BOSS!?
I have to try. For their sake.
P-P-Please...don't...LEAVE us…
It's alright, young ones. Icy will watch over you. He may look like a mean ugly old Arctic Hare on the outside, but he is as kind as they come. Go with him, and if I find Leon, I'll bring him home. Watch them till I come back, Icy.
Will do boss. But please be careful going back.
This is me we're talking about. Nothing can take me down that easily…"
Icy smiles at her, as he takes hold of Lily in his arms, as Zack clings to his leg. Tundra nods only once as she heads back to find Leon. Once she could no longer be seen, Icy takes hold of Zack's hand and leads him to a nearby hover jeep. They get in and drive off heading back to their secret HQ. Once at the HQ, hours go by till late into the night Tundra finally comes back. The kids were sleeping on a pile of furs near the fireplace when she entered Icy home. Lily was the first to slowly wake up as she heard them talking in the other room. She goes over to the door and listens in. Shortly Zack comes over rubbing his eyes, asking what was going on. Lily shushes him as they listen in. They were quite to the point Tundra tells Icy what she found out. When Lily hears this, runs crying out of the igloo as Zack calls after her.
"LILY! WAIT!
WHAT HAPPENED!?
L-Lily...she heard you and...and ran...outside.
Oh for the love of CHAOS! Stay here with Icy, I'll go after your sister…"
Before anything more could be said, Tundra runs out to find Lily, grabbing a blanket on her way out. After a bit, she finds her behind a tree up on a hill crying. Tundra watches her for a bit before sighing out, her breath forming a cloud in the icy cold air as she goes over to her. Her feet crunch in the snow as she walks over to Lily and sits down in the snow next to her. She takes the blanket she brought with her and wraps it around Lily, who barely moves as she holds her knees. They were quiet for a long time, as the Northern lights danced across the night sky. After some time, Lily lays her head in Tundra's lap and starts to cry. Tundra gently strokes her head as she hums an old lullaby she used to sing to her kids before she lost them to Eggman. After some time, Lily soon quiets down, and gentle breathing could be heard from her. Tundra looks down, and smiles, remembering how her daughters would fall asleep in her lap, just like Lily. Sighing out, she looks up to the Northern lights and closes her eyes…
"Nuka, Nani, please give me a sign on what I should do? I wasn't able to find him. Is he alright? Is he well? Is he ALIVE! Please give me some sign he is, if not for me, then do it for them. They've been through too much. There are only little kids. Much like you were when I lost you. So, please. I beg of you. Show me a sign…."
As Tundra sighs out, a star goes shooting across the night sky and shines brightly where it went to. She smiles and nods, carefully picking up Lily and carrying her back home, where Zack and icy were waiting for them.
