All of Narnia was shocked to learn of the disappearance of the high king Peter, king Edmund and high queen Susan, but none more then Lucy. All three vanished when hunting the white stag and if queen Lucy's mount hadn't been injured causing her to return early she would have disappeared with them as well.

For the next few years Lucy became the high queen and sole ruler of Narnia, the high queen was known as a just and kind leader. The golden age of Narnia continued with one queen instead of four.

Lucy took on her siblings duties but she never forgot about them it was said that every year for one week at the date of their disappearance the queen would see no one and would spend full days walking at the beach near the castle.

Until the Telmarines invaded the land and changed everything.

Lucy' POV

It was just another normal day in Cair Paravel, Lucy spent most of her morning listening to varying Narnians who came to seek her advice. "I think it time for lunch, wouldn't you agree Mr. Tumnus?" The faun next to her smiled "I think I would agree lady Lucy" Lucy got up from her throne with a quick glance at the three empty thrones next to her, her red gown brushing the marble floors, the golden lion on her chest reminiscent of the one Peter used to wear.

It has been years since her brothers and sister vanished, but every now and then she would forget and turn around expecting to see Susan smile or hear Peter and Edmund laughing. The high queen of Narnia sighed, will it ever get easier?.

The doors to the thrones room opened and Orieus the centaur came galloping in "queen Lucy a foreign army has marched on Cair Paravel it will be less then a day before they are here"

Her sadness nearly completely forgotten at the face of a threat, the queen spoke "Orieus start evacuating all those who can't fight and give the order every available fighter will man the walls the rest shall gather in the courtyard near the main gate" the centaur bowed his head "at once Your grace". Lucy turned and walked to her chambers after putting on her silver armor she grabbed her belt with her dagger and her cordial "hello old friends" she whispered added to her belt was a thin long sword and on her back were a bow and a quiver of arrows.

Returning to the throne room she stood silently before her siblings's thrones muttering a soft prayer to Aslan. "Dear one" a deep majestic voice said behind her. She whipped around to see the golden lion standing before her. "Aslan... you're here" her voice barely a whisper, she run to the large cat tackling him with a hug.

"you have grown" his voice comforting to her "you became a wonderful queen to Narnia, dear one" "are you here to help us against the army?" She asked "unfortunately no dear one but I am here to help you, your time serving Narnia is not over".

"What do you mean?" The doors opened revealing Tumnus and the beavers. Mrs. beaver had tears in her eyes as well as Tumnus "it is time" Aslan told the trio. "Time for what Aslan?" Lucy was confused at her close friends sad expressions.

The beavers hugged her "we will miss you little one" mr. beaver said Mrs. Beaver simply hugged her tighter. Tumnus approached "other people need you more then us, Aslan told us, he is going to put you to sleep until Narnia needs you and your siblings again" his voice heavy with tears. "Put me to sleep? Wha... you said my siblings? I'll see them again?" Both the lion and the faun nodded.

Lucy smiled at the idea of seeing her brothers and sister again but her smile dropped once she realized what it means "I'll never see you again..." the faun nodded. She glanced at Aslan and saw sadness cloud his gaze. "We must go dear one" Lucy hugged Tumnus and the beavers.

"Thank you for being with me all those years, I wouldn't have made it without you" her own eyes were now wet with tears but she would not let them fall, for she is queen Lucy the valiant. Alsan nodded to her and she followed him out the hall once at the doors she turned around to look at her friends, no family, one last time and she smiled before walking away.

She and Aslan were at the beach beneath the castle "on my back, dear one, we have a long way to go" Lucy climbed on and held his mane as he run across the land. When he stopped she realized where they are, the large cracked stone table looked exactly the same the stone circle around it hasn't changed in the slightest.

"I am sorry dear one that one cannot be with your family now but you will meet again" the soft words did little to comfort the young queen now. "So what happens now?" Over the journey her braid has come undone "now you dream until your family is brought back to you" the lion gave her a warm smile and released a breath of warm air at her face like he did all those years ago with the stone statues. Lucy felt her body going numb her arms and eyelids were so heavy and her legs could barely support her weight, the last things she saw were the crystal blue sky and Aslan's golden fur before the darkness took over.
