A Spy's life rebooted EP 1: The alien boy and the quitted spy
It was a sunny and cheerful day in the busy city of Beavery Hills, California! Teens were hanging out with their friends at the mall, or shopping for the latest fashion while others have fun on the sunny beach. Cars honked as they try to make it to their high-paying jobs or a date.
But 1 teen was not happy as she walks down the street. The girl is a 16 year old with short black hair in a curly bob cut and light brown eyes. She has brown skin and is wearing a yellow catsuit. Her name is Alexandra or Alex for short.
Alex isn't just your average teenager. She was part of a secret spy organization for crime stopping around the globe called 'WOOHP': The World Organization of Human Protection. But she wasn't anymore.
Lately, she's been felling useless in her work because she made several mistakes over her latest missions. At first, she thought she can improve herself, but things took a turn for the worst. A new girl named Brittany showed up and proved to be a better version of the girl. Even her best friends, Sam And Clover, loves the rookie more than her.
After an incident in Mexico City with the latest mission, Alex decided to quit the team, thinking they were better off without her. And her she is now: A former spy walking with her head down and tears in her eyes.
"Well, I better get to work on that extra credit project. It's not like I have anything better to do right now. Besides, Sam and Clover can wrap the mission up a lot faster without me. 'SIGH'" Alex kept walking with her arms crossed. Just as she was passing an alleyway, the glow of a mysterious blue light catches her attention.
"That's weird. Since when do alley's glow?" She looks around to see no one noticing. She decided to investigate, following the light as it dies down. As she walks, she kept searching for the source. But as she turns a corner, she gasps in shock at what she is seeing.
It was a young 11-year boy with pale skin and skinny for his age. He has brown hair under a black and green beanie cap. He is wearing a black t-shirt with cyber green lines and a green 10 in center with matching pants, except they both were mostly shredded up with the pants to his thighs with scratch and light burn marks on his legs and the shirt only covering his chest and some scratches on his arms. He has black and white shoes, that were luckily intact, and a sliver with a green emerald necklace.
But the thing that stood out the most is a bulky watch on his left wrist. It was mostly white with a black strip and ends. It has 4 green tubes connected to a silver dial. On it is a green hourglass on a black background with a green button below the dial.
"Oh my goodness! Kid! Are you okay? Say Something?!" The teen tries to shakes the boy awake, but only got a groan in response. "Good. He's still breathing. I better take him to the nurse's office at the school! It's closer there and the wounds only look mild."
As Alex was about to pick him up, the watch starts sparking green lightning, much to her shock. "What the?!" "System malfunction in Omnimatrix DNA Storage. Initiate Reboot to counter Temporal malfunction."
Alex wasn't sure what was more shocking! The fact that the watch spoke in a computer version of what could be the boy's voice or the fact that it started to glow green with black circuit lines. The dial starts rotating as it changes shape. The glow died down as Alex saw it changed it's look.
Now the rim of the dial is white, and has 4 green arrows, and the area behind the hourglass is now the same color as the new wristband: grey. The outer band is black with green arrows, and the sides of the dial and the ends of the wristband are silver. The top of the grey wristband has a green hourglass underneath the dial. The top of the dial is now black. Unlike the last version, the new version does not have its tube-like circuitry.
"Reboot completed! 10 aliens ready and active on playlist 1." Alex widen her eyes at the watch's words. Did it say 'alien'?! Who is this kid? And what is up with his watch?! Deciding to push it aside, she picks him up and runs to her high school, unaware of the boy briefly opening his eyes to get a glance at her before falling asleep. "Hang in there."
Dan was groaning as he slowly open his eyes, looking up to a celling. Groaning in dismay, he sat up as he rubs his head, noticing his cap and his necklace gone. Looking around, he saw the 2 on a bed table along with blue shorts and a grey shirt. The boy puts the 2 accessories on and notices he was in a nurse's office.
"Where am I? How did I get here?" He notices his legs has a few bandages on them. "How did—wait a sec! I was in a fight and… Ugg! Can't remember!" He holds his head in annoyance.
"Well, I'm not going to get answers laying around!" He steps out of the bed, keeping him steady to gain balance, and puts on the new pants and shirt, along with his shoes. "I got to figure out where I am, and how to contact Kate and Grandpa!"
He heads out of the room and notices he was in a hallway of lockers. "Oh, boy! Please don't tell me I'm at summer school." He moans out as he walks. The boy couldn't help but noticed how empty the school is and how big it is as well.
"Geeze! I may not be a big fan of school! But I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be people in it! Where is everyone?" Just as he rounds a corner, he saw a door being open, making him quickly duck back as he peeks out. A science teacher walks out and closes the door. He then walks off as Dan watches.
"Okay… so there's some people here. Guess I'm going to need Ghostfreak to do some sneaking!" Dan smirks as he was about to activate the watch, only to noticed its new look. "What!? What's up with the Omnitrix?! It looks different. How did this happen? I hope I didn't bust it again."
He decided to check the room the man went from by himself. He quickly sneaks to it and peeks through the window, seeing a science classroom. "Great... Science. The one thing other then Math I could never understand."
Just then, he saw Alex staring at a slide of molecules, bored while sipping some hot chocolate. "Hey.. I know that girl." He widens his eyes in shocked. "WAIT! She's the one I saw before passing out!" His yell got the girl's attention, making her turn and saw the boy. "Uh-Oh! Busted!"
As if things couldn't get any worst, the door opens from him leaning, making the boy tumbled into the floor as Alex flinched. "Just wonderful. Graceful as a fat buffalo." He mumbles in annoyance. He then saw a hand holding out, making the kid look up to see Alex with a smile. "You need help?"
Dan realizes the girl can be trusted and smiles. "Thanks." She helps him up as the girl askes. "Are you feeling all right? You were pretty hurt when I found you." "It's okay. Just some scratches. I'm Dan Tennyson, by the way." "I'm Alex. Want to sit with me and talk?" "Sure."
They both sat down as Dan ask the girl a question. "So… where am I?" "You don't know? You're in Beverly Hillis! It's like one of the biggest cities in California!" Dan was surprised at where he was. "What?! That's not right! I'm suppose to be in Bellwood!" "Bell-what?" Alex was confused as well as Dan.
"Bellwood? Small city in California? Known as the most normal city on Earth?' Alex merely shrugs as Dan thought to himself. If what this teen is saying true, then it's possible none has herd of Bellwood. But that was impossible, because it was some miles away from San Francisco.
"So… how did you get in that alley, Dan?" Dan tires to remember as he voiced out. "I can't remember much, but…. I was fighting against something or someone. And I got hit by some weird energy cannon and…. BLANK! I can't remember anything else."
Alex ponders at his answer. If what he is saying is true, then it's possible that he can't figure out how to get home to his family, especially if he lives in some town she never even heard of. Just then, the boy snaps his fingers in realization, digging through his pockets and pulls out a cell phone. Alex notices that it had no buttons and a screen.
"What kind of phone is that?" Dan looks at the teen as if she asked where do milk comes from. "It's an iPhone. Everyone has it. Don't you?" "No. And trust me, I would have known." Dan decided to ask what year it is. "Oh, 2007." Dan's eyes were bulging out of his skull as he was 5 years in the past.
Shaking his head out, he scrolls through his contacts list as Alex watches in amazement at seeing no buttons involved, just finger swiping on the screen. "Grandpa!" He pushes the button and holds it to his ear, waiting for the ringing to stop, only… "We're sorry. The number you're trying to reach is not in service."
"That's weird, Grandpa never changes his number. Maybe Kate?" He tries his sister, only to get the same answer. He then tries his parents. But go the same result. "Something's off, Alex. First, my town isn't known by people of the same state it's in. Second, my families numbers don't work! As if they never existed!"
"Hmm… That is a disturbing thought. But we're going to need to focus later! Right now, I got an extra credit project to do or I'm going to fall this class! I need to figure out how to make a bar of soap float in this bucket of water."
Dan looks at the 2 and smirks. "Have you ever thought about putting water wings on it?" Alex got a deadpanned look. "Ha ha. Very funny. I made the same joke too." Dan looks around to see no cameras around. "But joking aside, I think I can help. But can you keep a secret? Like a really big one?"
Alex looks at the kid as she firmly nods. "I promise!" Dan went to the Omnitrix and activates it, turning to Grey Matter's icon as he smirks. "What are you doing with that watch?" FLASH Alex was blinded by a flash of green light.
As it dies down, Alex saw the boy was gone. "Dan?" "Over here, Alex." The girl turns and was shocked at seeing a small, grey skinned, biped frog-like being on the counter table. He has green bulbous eyes with horizontal pupils and black strip on his head. He has small gills on his cheeks with sharp teeth and has 4 sticky finger and 3 toes.
He is wearing a bodysuit that is white with a black strip down the middle and collar. He has green toeless legging and fingerless gloves, that has a black patch on the back, with the green hourglass dial on his back. "DAN!? IS THAT YOU?!" "Correct, my teenage friend. But in this form, it's Grey Matter. And I believe from observing the slide and your drink, I have come up with an answer!"
He walks over the drink and spills it on the glass of the projector. "HEY! What are—" "Shuu! Look!" Grey Matter points as the liquid washes away, revealing the Molecules vibrating. "As you can see, the heat affects the molecules, making them vibrate faster when exposed to it."
Alex was shocked that he figured it out so quickly. "How did—" "It's easy when this guy has an IQ of 300, thank you very much." Alex's jaw dropped to the floor with a clang at the small guy's brain power, realizing that he's smarter then Sam. And she's really smart.
"Now, Alex." The teen's head shakes to focus. "Now that you figured out the answer, what do you do with the soap?" Alex smiles in response and picks it up, walking to a microwave and putting it in and activates it. The girl watches as it bubbles while Grey Matter hops on her shoulder to get a better look. The microwave dings as it was finished, with the soap smoking and all bubbly. Just as she opens it…
RING RING RING The alien was surprised at a ringtone coming from the girl's lab coat, making her pull out a pink compowder and places it on top of it. "It's just a call from some people I know. They can handle it." Grey Matter hops off and observes it, finding out that's some sort of mini-computer. Way too advanced for an average girl like Alex to have.
"Wait. Heat speeds up Molecules. Maybe I can be a help!" She quickly grabs Grey Matter and the pink device and a heart shaped backpack, stuffing the alien in it. "HEY!" "Sorry! It's just temporary!" She slips off the lab coat and rushes out of the door as the teacher walks in. "Sorry! I'll be back!" She tosses the soap behind her, landing and floating in the bucket. The man smiles at the work.
Dan was running outside with Alex, who is now back in her catsuit as she explains. "And that's the whole story." "WAIT!? You're a spy this whole time?! And the world's in danger!?" "YES! I need to get to Greenland, Pronto! Sorry, Dan! I'll talk things over later!" She activates some jet boots, although she had a little trouble at first as she stumbles, but got the hang of it and rockets away.
"Well, I'm not standing by when the world's in trouble!" He saw some bushes and ducks into them, Activating the watch. "I better go Stinkfly to catch up!" But when he dialed past Upgrade, he saw an alien he never saw before. "Wait! Where's Stinkfly?! In fact, where are the others!?" He keeps rotating to see 7 more new icons as well.
"Not a really good time, Omnitrix! Fine! I'll go with…. this one!" FLASH Dan leaps out of the bushes. He is now a tall, athletic-built, cat like alien without a tail. He has blue fur with black spots on his forearms and calves, that has 3 blades on them. His hands has black claws. He's wearing a black suit with a green thunderbolt that points down and sleeves that goes to his elbows and knees. He has a cat nose and fangs with black mask markings that are pointed out on the sides. He has green shades on his eyes. He has 3 sharp black toenails on his light blue feet. He has black fingerless gloves with a green patch on the back. He has green and white bands on his wrists and ankles and a belt with the Omnitrix symbol on it.
He decides to just run and tries to catch up with Alex. As he kept running, his speed started to increase until he ran at 200 MPH! "WHOA! I'm going at super speed!? This guy must be as fast as XLR8! Nice!" He then starts running, looking up to see Alex flying and following her at a steady speed.
The alien follows the teen spy as they reached a lab in Greenland. "Why would Alex need to go to Greenland?" His thought was interrupted when he sees his new friend was out of control. "BRAKES! BRAKES!" Thinking quickly, he leapt over the Fence and grabs her in his arms, flying through a window into a lab as he screeched to a stop.
Alex notice the arms she was in, blinking in surprised and looks up to the alien. "You know, you could get off now." The teen leaps off as she exclaims. "DAN! What are you doing here?!" "I came to help you, Alex! And from the looks of your landing, you needed it!" He cries back as he crosses his arms.
Just before she could argue back, they herd a sound, turning to see 3 girls, tied together, trying to move towards them… if not by the weirdest thing of moving in slow-motion and speaking in it as well. "'GASP' What kind of maniac did this to you?!" "Boooommmmmbbbbbbb….." "What?" Alex was confused as well as the alien.
Dan hears a beeping and looks back, seeing a device with a countdown on that has 30 secs left. He recognized that kind of device from his many adventures. "BOMB!" He quickly grabs it and rushes outside the lab, throwing it high in the air when… BBBOOOOOOMMMMMM!
The device exploded in the sky, sparing the lab and it's occupants from an explosive fate. Sighing out, he rushes back to the lab as he told the girls "Bomb's gone! You can all breath now." "Okay, maybe we could use some help." Alex admits as she walks over to the girls while Dan uses his claws to cut the ropes.
"Your molecules have been slowed. That's why you're moving in slow motion! But I know how to fix it!" She takes out a device that looks like a hairdryer. "With heat!" "Uhh… Alex?" The girl sees that she's aiming at herself. "Oopsie."
She quickly changes it and blows a gust of hot air at the others, blowing to a wall as they regain normal speed. Dan notices that 3 girls wears different catsuits. The blonde one is red. The redhead is green and the blue one is blue too.
"Alex! You're the best!" "You saved our lives!" The Green and Blue girls said as the red one, who's hair is now sticking up, looks at her pink mirror device with glee. "Totally! And my hair has never look better!" The 2 other girls got annoyed looks as Dan slaps his head with his palm. "Thanks, Clover!"
"By the way, who the heck is this thing?!" The red head points at Dan as the alien got annoyed. "HEY! I have a name! It's Dan! And I helped Alex figured out what's wrong with you!" "It's okay, girls! He's a cool friend I met. He can help us!" Alex pleas as they looks at each other in thought.
"Fine! He can help! But we want answers from him later." "Fair enough." He shrugs at Clover. They all ran out of the lab and looks around. "So where did the crazy bad guy went off to? New York?" The blue hair answers Dan's question.
"No. He wants to start big with the countries first. China." "Where's the WHOOP jet when you need it?" Alex responds to Clover as she ran off. "I got a better idea follow me! Dan, wait at the lab; we'll pick you up later."
The girls ran out of sight as the alien narrows his eyes. "Oh, no! I'm not going to—" BEEP BEEP BEEP He looks down at the blinking red Omnitrix, before getting engulfed in a flash of red light. "OH, man!" Dan exclaims as he stomps his human foot in frustration.
He glares at the space watch. "Seriously?! New makeover! New aliens! But the same timing problem?! I should have ask Azmuth for a Manuel before he left." He then tires shaking the watch to make it charge, only for it to beep green, much to his surprise. "WAIT! That worked?! I really got to talk to Azmuth about this "Recharge" thing."
He pushes the new button, making it pop up as he dials to the speed cat's icon. "Time to go speedy again!" FLASH Dan realizes he was not the cat alien, but a different one, instead.
He is a humanoid, moth-like alien with 4 wings and antenna are folded around him, giving him the appearance of a phantom. "What the?! Seriously!? Another mystery alien!? What am I supposed to…" Just then, his wing and antenna unfolds, making him fly up, much to his surprise.
He notices the rest of his body. It is black with cyan patches on his arms, shoulders, legs, the back of his wings, and the back of his neck that resemble ice chunks. Each patch has thick blue outlining except for the ones on his wings, which are outlined in black. There is also a black line that runs on the edge of the outer margin on the back of each wing. On his torso are three plates. One resembling the chest, a shorter plate under the chest, and one resembling the stomach. On his face are blue cheeks and underjaw, a mouth that always shows bluish white teeth, and large green eyes with dark green spots. The top of his head also sports a blue Y-shaped marking that extends over his scalp. He has three pointed fingers and a thumb on each hand, and two toes on each foot and a third toe-like extension on his ankles. He lastly has the Omnitrix symbol on a green and white belt on his waist.
"Okay, a flyer can definitely work." He saw the teen spies riding on a flying sled, powered by Alex's boots, to the ocean after a far away plane. Dan narrow's his bug like eyes and flies after them, keeping a distance.
As the spies reached one side of the plane, Dan was flying behind on the other side, being unnoticed. "Okay… how am I going to get in?" As he taps the wall, he unknowing became transparent and phased through the wall, quickly landing on his feet. "Whoa. I can phase through things like Ghostfreak? I hope this guy doesn't go rouge too."
He folds his wings and quickly holds onto to some cargo as the plane quickly moved around. "WHOA! That whacko need to learn how to fly a jet! Better get up there and stop him!" He quickly sneaks up as the plane righted itself.
He reaches the door and peeks through, seeing 3 men wearing brown winter coats and giving off a villain vibe. He moves back and whispers to himself. "Okay. This guy has got to do something else besides being like Ghostfreak." As he exhales, a stream of icy wind breathes out and freezes part of the wall. Dan smirks at the development. "Arctiguana breath? That, I know I can do!" He phases through the door as the men remains unaware .
"FREEZE!" He blows a stream of ice that instantly froze the men in blocks of ice as there eyes widened. "Tag! You're it!" He smirks as he moves the chunks out of the way and looks at the plane controls. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH "Okay, you can do this dude! You played Video Games involving space pilots and drove a space pod once with Tetrax! How hard can it be?"
He sat down and grabs the wheel, keeping it steady. He looks over to see all sorts of levers on the side as he gulps. "Okay, a bit hard." He reaches over, hovering his hand as he couldn't figure out which one to pull.
"Ah, what the heck with it." He closes his eyes and pulls a random one, making him hear the Jet was slowing down. He opens his eyes to see the plane was decreasing to a steady speed. "Huh? Guess dumb luck CAN be helpful once in a while. Who knew?"
He looks out the window and smiles and waves at the stunned teen spies. "HEY! Need a lift?"
After the villain and his minions were locked up, Dan was inside a building that is WHOOP Headquarters. The boy was amazed by the size of the huge office space. "'Whistle' Now, THIS is an awesome headquarters!"
"I'm glade you like it, young man," Dan turns to a British man in his 50's with thinning hair, small mustache and fancy suit and tie. "Because after I talked with the girls, we need to have a chat." He turns to the 4.
Dan was getting bored on having to wait as he tunes out the conversation. He notices the alien watch and gets an idea, looking to see they didn't noticed him. He saw a room with some big, steel crates and sneaks into there. However, the girls and the man notices him and went after him.
Dan stops at a small clearing and looks at the watch, rotating through the icons. "Okay, until they are done, I'll just need to figure out these new… NO WAY! Is this a dinosaur?! BEEP And another cat guy, too! BEEP Who's this fire guy?! He reminds me of Wildvine for some reason. BEEP Here's another hood guy! I suddenly feel thirsty just looking at him. BEEP Hey! Here's a big, warrior guy! Better hold on him for later. BEEP Grey Matter, check! BEEP Hey, it's Upgrade! I think… he looks different for some reason. BEEP OH! Here's the freeze, moth guy! I think I'll call him Big Chill. BEEP As for the speedster: Fasttrack! For some reason, it fits him. BEEP OOH! I like the looks of this guy!"
As Dan was mesmerized, the others were able to find him as Sam told. "Hey, kid. You shouldn't be here! This place is dangerous." "Uhh… guys." Alex said, getting their attention as speak. "There something you should know about this kid." "OKAY!"" They all turn to him as the core pops up while raising his right hand with a grin. "Let's go with the big brusher!" FLASH
Green, metallic muscles produced from the watch as they morphs his arms into 3 fingered buff limbs. His clothes turns into a Jumpsuit that is colored Green, black and white with a silver belt and covers everything except his arms and 2 toed feet. His head morphs as a grey and black mask appears on his head while his teeth became slightly fanged. The watch appeared on his back. He poses and plants his fist on the floor. FLASH
Dan is now a green humanoid frog alien with grey metallic eyebrows. He wears a green, black and white jumpsuit covering all except for his arms and feet, as well as a grey and black mask. He is a bit taller than the man and has the Omnitrix symbol on his back.
"He can do that. Surprise?" Alex sheepishly adds as the others were stunned with blinking eyes. "Who's the alien!? I'm the Alien!" "DAN!" "GAAH!" The Teen walks up as the transformed kid calms down. "Oh, Alex. I thought you and the others were talking?"
"Well, I'm here. And so are the others who saw, but that's not the point." She briefly points at the others as she exclaims. "You shouldn't play around with new Aliens in a spy agency building! Besides, you have no idea what this guy is supposed to do!"
Dan merely smirks as he spoke back. "Man! You sound just like my sister for a sec! Anyway, time to take this new guy for a test drive! I bet he's really strong!" He then tries to lift a nearby crate, but is struggling as Alex got a straight face as the other shook their heads from the shock.
"Maybe… Stronger then… Four Arms…. I should call him Brawno…. Or—" He lifts it up but was off balance by the weight as he tries to balance. "WHOA! WHOA! OKAY! NOT AS STRONG AS I THOUGHT!" "ALEX!" The others cries in shock as Dan was tumbling back into the teen, who hold her hands up in defense.
But just as Alex touched his back, he glowed green and split into 2 smaller versions of himself. "ALEX!" One of them cries as he tackles the girl while the other grabs the crate, surprisingly lifting it with ease. "Thanks…. DANS!?" She cries in shock as stands up.
"My word! 2 of the same people?!" The man exclaims as he and the other went up to Alex. They all noticed that he was half the size from before. "TAA-DAA! Check me out!" Dan number 2 exclaims as he holds the box up.
"WHOA! Your half selves are double strong!" Sam exclaims as the clone sets the crate down as the other one walks up to him. "Say.. is your name Dan too?" "YEAH! Pretty cool, right?" "Tell me about it! But what I want to know is: How did we clone?"
Brittany spoke up, having an idea. "I think I know. When you were falling, Alex pushed on your back and you glowed green, splitting into the 2 of you." The aliens looks at each other and grins. "Our backs, huh?" They both hit each other on the backs, splitting them into 4 smaller versions. They then do it again into 8 of them. "AWESOME! We got a cloner! I wonder how we get back together, though?" "I think we should touch each other." 4 of them did, glowing green and merging back into their quarter forms.
The other 4 want to keep cloning but when they hit there back's nothing happened. "What the? Why can't we cloned?" Clover adds in from observing. "I'm guessing you can only clone up to 8 times and that's it. Which I would really love to make clones of myself! I could totally be everywhere at once! Date all the hotties! Going clothes shopping all the time and enjoying lots of me!"
Clover eyes became stars as she daydreams while the other sweat drops. "Umm… I'm going out on a guess and saying that's she's a valley girl, right?" "Oh… you have no idea. And I think you should control your Slapbacks, Dan." Alex adds in.
"I'm not calling this guy 'Slapback'!" One of the tiny Dan's exclaims. "I don't know. You slap him on the back and get more of him. Seems fitting to me." "Okay, let's take a vote. All opposed?" "I!" The other 4 raises their hands. "And those for 'Slapback?"
The human raises there hands one-by-one. "I like it!" "It's kind of catchy!" "Seems fitting, in my word." "I think it fits too!" "I think we should stick to it." Slapback #6 walks over as he comments. "It's actually growing on me."
The other Slapbacks glare at him. "TRATIOR!" One of the mini one tackles him, knocking him into a stack of metal crates that falls down with a crash. The other 4 were knocked back by the other as well, bouncing and destroying the room and the humans rushes out quickly. "WHOOO-OOOH!" "I'm bouncy and indestructible!" CRASH BOOM
The 4 spies and man quickly got out a loud of smoke pours from the room. "Whew! That was close!" "Tell me about! We almost became pancakes thanks to some crazy, small but strong frog things!" Clover comments to Sam as the Slapbacks all tumbled out onto a pile.
They all merged into 2 as Alex stands up with crossed arms. "NOW do you understand why it's dangerous to use new aliens with untested powers outside of a training room?" Brittany calls out. "YEAH! You got to regain those guys in, please?"
The Slapbacks looks guilty as they spoke. "Oh, I guess we went a little far with our powers." "Yeah. I already waited for 2 hours, what's a little more time? No more mystery aliens until we figure out how to contact Grandpa Max and the others?" "You got it!" They both hi-fived and merges into 1.
"It feels nice to get all my pieces back together." "Glad to see you slapped yourself back together." Alex comments as he pats him on the chest. "Alex! Stop trying to make Slapback a thing!" BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH
Alex chuckles as Dan crosses his arms with a frown. "Now that is settled with, we can all continued with our talk back at my desk." The man said as they walk backed. The boy stood in front of the man as the girls at on the cushion.
The adult took out a scanner device with a computer. He scans the kid as he questions. "So, you said you don't remember how you got to Beverly Hills, Dan was it?" "YEAH! I can't remember much! All I remember of is being in some sort of fight and some sort of energy cannon firing at me. Next thing I know, Alex found me, and I woke up in her school's Nurse office."
The man nods at the answer as he finished scanning and looks at the results. "Oh, my." "What? What is it?" "According to my readings, you are actually a Temporal copy." Dan was confused as well as the others. "Who with the what now?"
"A Temporal copy. You see, this boy is actually from an alternate universe. See, WHOOP scientist are very curious about the Multiverse Theory." "The what?" Clovers askes as Sam adds in. "The Multiverse Theory, Clover. It's a theory where a infinite set of different universes exists. Some smiler to ours while others are completely different. But I always thought it was a myth."
"No, Samantha. It does exist. But we couldn't go to them because we haven't developed the technology needed for it. But we have sent probes before and their readings were all positive. Anyway, this child is a Temporal clone. A Temporal clone is a perfect copy of the original, right down to the atoms. But the copy can't exist in the same universe as the original."
"So in order to prevent the Universe from collapsing on itself, the clone is sent to a random universe while the original remains behind. Daniel, I'm afraid you are a clone in alternate universe." Dan was stunned as the truth sinks in. "So… Grandpa Max? Kate?" "I'm afraid they don't exist. So does your home and parents in this universe, I'm afraid." The boy was silent for a few secs, before shaking his head and narrows his eyes. "No way! If this is a hi-tech spy headquarters, then there's got to be a way to get me home!" "Dan... you heard what Jerry just said..." Brittany spoke, trying to calm him down, only for the kid to stomp away. "I'm finding my way back to Bellwood, even if I have to go Upgrade on this whole building!"
But just then, Dan was stopped by a window and gazes out the view of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. "Whoa... What a view." "Yeah. WOOHP Headquarters has the best view over the city. Hench, the reason it helps protect the city and the world from crime and villains on a major scale." Sam explains as they came over. "Really? So, that's Los Angeles?" "Yep! The Movie Capital of the States." Clover answers. "You know, this Los Angeles looks kind of like my city of Bellwood from my dimension, they even had the whole, evil super villain's taking over/wiping out everything."
Jerry question the child as he smirks with crossed arms. "Really?" "Yeah! My Grandpa took some photos during my 1st Summer with the Omnitrix. It was memorable" "How did it went?" Alex askes in wonderment as Dan replies. "It was great! Except for the troubles i keep running into. No matter where we go, something is always happening." "Like, what kind of somethings?" Dan answers Clover's question "One problem after another: Monsters, Villains, Bounty Hunters, Rouge Aliens, Evil Magic, Disasters, Killer Robots, Car Jacker and robbers. Everywhere we go, Some bad guy or freak-show mutant shows up and just cause trouble. Course, this was back when I just got my powers, I didn't know that stuff would happen."
Sam got to pondering at the child's reply, thinking with super brain as the gears kept turning. "You know... Maybe there IS a reason you got sent to our world, Dan. Maybe this is a sign that you could do good in our world just like yours." Dan frowns as he snaps back. "And what?! Start all over again?! Just forget about Kate and Grandpa, for good!? And you're suppose to be the smart one?!" "Look! I'm just saying that you can really help everyone out, in our world! I mean, with your powers and experience around the country, we can really be prepared!" Dan was about to spoke back when some words from his friend Tetrax, appeared in his head. "Let me ask you this: Did you do it because it's the right thing to do? Or for the thrill of being a hero?"
Alex then gets an idea. "Hey, Jerry!" They all turn to her. "Can Dan stay with me? I can convince my folks to give him a place to stay and we have tons of room at my house!" The others were surprised by the suggestion as Dan looks down in thought.
Alex did helped him out when he was alone and she kind of reminds her of Kate. Jerry smiles and looks down at the boy. "If it's okay with him." Dan smiles and answers. "Yes!" Alex cheers as well as the others as the teen scoops the boy in a surprise hug. The boy smiles at the events. He maybe a clone of Dan Prime, but he still have a family.
