Elfadunk: Hello, and welcome to the premiere broadcast for the Neo North Crater Nightly News! It took us a couple of years, but North Crater is back and better than ever! I'm Elfadunk, and you're watching Discussions with Elfadunk, the Neo North Crater Regional Channel's talk show where I sit down with guests and discuss current events. With me today to commemorate the launch of the NNCRC are newly-elected North Crater President Malboro, along with former eco-terrorist and current World Regenesis Organization member Nanaki! Thank you both for being here today.

Malboro: It's my pleasure.

Nanaki: Thank you, I suppose.

Elfadunk: So let's get the elephant in the room off the table. President Malboro, you were a talk show host on the previous North Crater TV channel before North Crater fell, and Nanaki, you were part of the strike team that assaulted North Crater two years ago. Is it difficult being in the same room together?

Nanaki: I don't have anything against anyone here. We just had to stop Sephiroth.

Malboro: In some ways it's difficult, in others it's not. North Crater was great two years ago before AVALANCHE attacked us, and it was hard pulling through. But now we're safer than we were before, and without the attack two years ago, I probably wouldn't be president right now.

Elfadunk: That makes sense. So I have a couple questions, one for each of you. Nanaki, is it difficult being a monster that lives and works with humans, and President Malboro, how does a talk show host end up becoming president? Let's start with Nanaki first.

Nanaki: Two years ago, it was hard. I'd get people attacking me thinking I was just a mindless beast. Now it's easy, because everyone recognizes me as one of the people that saved the planet.

Elfadunk: Makes sense. And how about your question, Mr. President?

Malboro: I was a talk show host for years here in North Crater. My show was the longest-running talk show the NCLC had when North Crater fell. I talked about everything, from world events to politics. So when North Crater needed to restructure, and needed new leadership, I thought I might as well give it a try.

Elfadunk: I'm sure it's inspirational for regular monsters to see you become President. Well, thank you both for being here today - Next up is State of Gaia, with hosts Skeeskee and Gighee. What's going on in the world lately, guys?

State of Gaia

Skeeskee: Thanks, Elfadunk. North Crater was recently visited by three men claiming to be the sons of former North Crater Vice-President Jenova, which has significant implications for world events to come if true. The former Vice-President's remains were retrieved recently by suited agents suspected to be Turks, the now-weakened Shinra Electric Power Company's spy agency. Other events include the World Regenesis Organization opening a new food bank in the city of Edge, intended to ensure the poor and homeless have access to food while the WRO rebuilds.

Gighee: Definitely a good thing. It's also important to note that the WRO just recently announced a recruitment drive, saying they need more members to help construct homes and potentially new cities, as Gaia is still facing a homelessness crisis due to Midgar's destruction during Meteorfall two years ago. WRO Commissioner Reeve Tuesti, who was formerly the head of Urban Development at the Shinra Electric Power Company, gave a short speech earlier this week praising the WRO's accomplishments so far but stressing that there's still a lot of work ahead.

Skeeskee: Speaking of Shinra, there are rumors that former Shinra President Rufus, who was believed to have died during now-deceased General Diamond Weapon's attack on Midgar, may actually be alive and funding the WRO. This, combined with sightings of possible Turks members could mean that Shinra might not be as gone as we thought. That's all for State of Gaia, up next is Crater Cooking, hosted by Hungry. Crater Cooking

Hungry: Today we've got something absolutely delicious for you - And healthy, too! It's a Cokatolis Salad, so let's get right into how you make this yummy dish. First you'll need a decently-sized bowl, a nut grinder, and a pan, and on-hand you'll need Cokatolis meat, preferably the white meat from it's breast, along with Curiel and Pahsana Greens, Pram Nuts, and an Ether. Cut the Cokatolis meat into small strips, then cook it thoroughly on the stovetop, taking care not to burn it. Afterwards, take a knife and chop up the Curiel greens into chunks, and slice the Pahsana Greens into thin slices. Your last prep is taking about three or four Pram Nuts and grinding them up into a seasoning. Once your Cokatolis is done cooking, throw the strips in your bowl along with the Curiel chunks and Pahsana slices, season it with the ground Pram, and finally pour a light drizzle of Ether across the salad. And there you have it, a Cokatolis Salad! Healthy, tasty, and easy to make. Thanks for watching, everyone!
