Sitting alone in a booth was Jughead Jones writing away with his "ancient" laptop.
Halfway through his phone started to ring.
It was his girlfriend's mom, Alice Cooper.
And Jughead was curious as to why she was calling him.
Going through things in his head, he thought of things he might've done to upset the woman.
The phone ringing again brought him out of his thoughts.
"Hello" was how he decided to answer the call. It was innocent enough for Alice Cooper.
Only to hear the most heart shattering thing he thought he could ever hear.
Ending the call immediately so he could rush over to the accident. "I'll be there!" he yelped into his phone.
Slapping a 20 on the table for Pop just so he could run out.
Hopping on his bike. Which was his only mode of transportation at the moment, Jughead Jones rushed over the speed limit to the hospital. Which was where Betty Cooper was being held in the emergency room.
