Prologue

4/28: Nightime

As a new semester started new faces were revealed and the next beasts were shown. No one knows what would be stored for them in this next school year, but one thing is for sure to happen. Two friends were chatting as they were finished with cram school.''I'll be back. I promise! I just need to do something!''A sheep assured, but her friend wasn't too conceived as it was nighttime meaning it was too dangerous.

''Are you sure? You know it's dangerous at night right?''Her friend asked, but the sheep just shrugged her off probably thinking it was just her imagination getting in the way.

''Don't worry! I'll be back in like 15 minutes! I promise.''She said.''See you then!''She turned and walked back to school. Cheeryton academy where Carnivore and Herbivore were to get along. As the sheep walked toward the school, she heard a noise. She turned and found no one, the sheep looked confused as she shrugged as she continues to walk.

As she entered the school.''The teachers are patroling I better be careful...''She muttered as she moved on. The silence was getting heavy, and another sound was heard. It was back the sound of a sludge moving...She gulped as she tried to ignore it, but she couldn't bear it...She turned around, fear was there.''Hello? I-is anyone there?''She asked, but no answer. It was starting to freak her out, she continued on. But the sound was making her uncomfortable.

As the sheep passed a window, she stared at the moon with a shocked expression upon looking at the moon. It was a bright crimson moon as if it were made of blood. It sent cold shiver on the girl's spine, this wasn't normal. She was starting to get really scared now. Something was going on.

The noise she heard grew closer, and closer.

A clang was heard, she turned and screamed as she ran away.

The loud heavy footstep echo through the dark halls as the herbivore ran with tears in her eyes as if she saw a monster, and this monster was after her. She was panicking, she turned around and saw a black sludge with arms, and mask crawling toward their prey. She let out a horrifying scream as she ran down the stairs with that black sludge following her.

Going down the stairs, she turned to her left as she continues to run. But all she hit was a dead end, she looked around frantically, and found a door that reads "2-1" She tried to open the door, but it would not budge.''No, no, no! Please open!''She tried to pull the door open, but it still the same. She looked and saw the black sludge monster approaching ever so close.

The girl stumbles as she stared at the weird monster, who is dangerously close to its prey.''Wh-what are you?! W-what's going on?! Why is the moon red?!''But the monster did not listen as it continues to inch ever so closer to its prey.''Get away from me! Do you hear me!''Again the monster didn't listen.''NO! STOP! STOP!''She screamed as the monster engulfed her whole as her paw was sticking out.

Her scream echoed throughout the school.

The Next Day...

As the sun rose, A large carnivore walked toward the mirror as he wore his blue vest, he looked at the mirror as he started doing his tie. The large carnivore is a tall grey wolf, who stood at an impressive height of 6'2 while only being 17 years old and they call him Legosi, a 2cd year. The tall gentle wolf was an awkward one, whenever others try to converse with Legosi they mostly don't know how to proceed. But the tall carnivore didn't mind it as he is used to this kinda antics.

As he finished doing his tie, he called over to whoever was in the bathroom.''Hey, Jack. You need to hurry or we'll be late.''The tall carnivore walked to his bed as he sat down with a fresh pair of socks on his bed. He heard the shower stopped as he assumed his friend was done. The others went ahead, while Legosi remained behind.

As the bathroom door opened, he looked up and saw a labrador walk out of the bathroom. Jack is a friend of Legosi since childhood, while his personality is joyful and energetic at times and his fun to have around. The canine was also the smartest among the 2cd year, and he was happy for his friend.''I'm sorry I took my time. We need to meet the others during breakfast hour, right?''He asked as Jack looked at the mirror as he started doing what Legosi was doing earlier. Doing his tie.

''Yeah, I stayed behind. We need to hurry, they are probably waiting for us.''As the grey wolf wore the socks, he picked up his brown shoes that were placed idly under his bed. As he was done with his shoes, he went over to his pet's cage. A rhino beetle, he made sure to feed his pet every week. He carried the cage as he fed the beetle.''There you go, Rhino-chan.''He closed the cage as he put the cage inside his bag, he will never leave his precious beetle alone.

''You know seeing you care for that beetle, Legosi. It's really nice.''The labrador said as he looked at Legosi with a smile on his face. Ever since Legosi found that beetle, he has been taking care of it ever since. It was a nice sight, Legosi always takes notes on when to find his beetle and what to do if something happened to his pet.''Are you ready?''He asked. The tall wolf placed his bag on his shoulders as he nodded.''Then, let's go.''Jack walked out of the room, Legosi following suit as the tall wolf closed the door.

As the two walked down the corridor, they noticed that it was oddly silent. A normal day they would hear talking, yelling, or footsteps. But now it was silent, they should have passed by someone by now. It was way too silent. The two ignored as they continue to walk, but Jack had to ask as this silence is very uncommon.''What do you think it's so silence? It's strange...''Legosi had to agree with his friends, the silence was strange. ''Did something happened that we didn't know? We did leave a little late.''

He wasn't sure if they missed something, but when they exited the dormitory police cars were parked outside the school. The two friends looked confused, why would the police be at school? They noticed a crowd of students with their phones out, standing at the school gates. The two friends saw their roommates as they approached the crowd. Upon reaching the crowd, Legosi tapped on the shoulder of one of their roommates. An old English sheepdog, Collot. The dog turned to them as he spoke.''Jack, Legosi...You won't believe this...''

''Why? What happened?''Jack asked concerned. The look on Collot's face was unpleasant, even though his eyes were covered by his hair.

''A suicide happened, or at least that's what the polices think...''The old English sheepdog replied as he rubbed the back of his head. Legosi and Jack were shocked by the news. Someone had died.''A female student a First-Year. The body was found outside of the school. There was no sign of an injury on the body, so the police assumed that she jumped off the roof.''Collot crossed his arms as he frowned his arms.

''Jumped off the roof? but isn't the roof...closed?''Legosi asked, he was confused. He remembered that the roof was locked. The more he thinks about it, the more confused he is.''How did she get to the roof without a key?''

''That's the thing, the police are confused about the sudden death. Her death is a mystery...''Collot mumbled.''Others have their owns theories...Like they think she drowned, or she poisoned her self...''

''But that not possible. There is no possible way that a mammal can drown themselves or poison for that matter.''Jack exclaimed, and Legosi had to agree to get poison wasn't easy as you need to head outside of town, and drowning...wasn't possible.

''Please head back to your dormitory! School is canceled today!''As the crowd dispersed most of the students did what they were told, and head back to the dormitories.

''Let's go, Legosi,''

4/29: Nighttime, Rainy Day

Dormitory number 701

Most of the mammals were already asleep, and it was a slow day. The death of the female student was the talk of the school. It was such a mystery about how she died...The school will resume tomorrow, but the mysterious deaths will still remain for quite a while. The teachers gave the students warning as to not roam around in the night. The police speculate that there might be a murder with unusual tactics.

As the rest of the mammals in room 701 was already storing, Legosi was still awake laying on his bed as he stared at the dark wall, hearing the rainfall. He couldn't sleep at all, he moved the curtain away as the dark light illuminated his area.

Legosi stood up as he walked to the window as he stared at the moon.

He spotted something glowing with a tint of blue through the rain...His eyes focused on the mysterious blue glow curiously as it revealed itself to be a butterfly. The butterfly had a bright glow surrounding it as he continues to stare at the blue butterfly. The butterfly carelessly flapped its wings as it flew across the moon, tinting the light with a sky blue...The wolf admired the blue butterfly as it was gone from his view.

As Legosi stared at the bright moon, it turned into a blood-red in a glimpse before turning back. The tall wolf shook his head as he glanced at the moon, it remained the same bright light. Legosi sighed as he walked to his bed as he lay down, closing the curtains as he fell slowly drifted to sleep...

But as soon as he drifted away, he felt force dragging him into the abyss...

As Legosi slowly opened his eyes, everything was dark. As his eyes snapped wide open, he realized that he wasn't in his bed laying down. Instead, he was sitting on a chair. When did he get here? wasn't he in his dorms asleep? Did someone drag him here? If so, then why? All of these questions will soon be answered. As the light came on. He raised one arm as the stage light was overwhelming him with the brightness.

He had a clear view, he was facing the stage. But this wasn't Cherryton Academy's theatre. The curtains were blue as a velvet blue, and so was his seat as well as the seats below him. There was a blue carpet on the stage and the stage's floor the same golden brown, but it's brighter in color. A piano could be heard playing somewhere in the backstage, but the real question that he has in mind is: Where is he?

''Ah...It seems that our new guest has arrived...''A high pitched voice was heard in the darkness. Legosi stood up from his seat as he looked around. Upon looking, he saw two mysterious figure walking toward him. He couldn't make their faces due to the darkness, but the more closer they got, the more distinguished their faces are. One appears to be a male bird, while the other was another grey wolf, but a female instead.

''My name is Igor, and Welcome to the Velvet room.''
