Switzerland walked in the rain while mumbling something under his breath, clearly underdressed for the harsh weather. He was returning home from a meeting with some government officials he isn't too fond of. What made it even worse was that Austria and his girlfriend, Hungary, were at the meeting.

Switzerland has been in love with Austria for longer than he can remember. Unfortunately Austria loved Hungary, not his Swiss childhood best friend. When Switzerland confessed to Austria it ruined their friendship and they grew distant. Yet the Swiss couldn't stop loving him despite the Austrian clearly loving someone else. He tried everything to forget about the Austrian yet he still lingered in the back of his mind, almost as if he was taunting him.

Just then a car drove by and drenched Switzerland in dirty rainwater. He cursed at the driver but they had already sped away while laughing. Normally Switzerland would teleport to and from meetings but he and Austria got into an argument which curbed his teleportation ability that all nations possess. When a nation isn't in a good mood or is in a bad state their healing abilities and teleportation abilities either slow down or cease entirely. This can be extremely dangerous, especially during wars and other conflicts.

Now that he couldn't teleport he was forced to walk three hours home in the freezing rain. He checked the time and realized that he still needed to walk for another hour. He held back his tears as he made his way home. Earlier that morning one of his beloved goats gave birth but the babies didn't make it, then he spilled his coffee all over his white shirt, his favourite TV show was cancelled, he accidentally left some cheese out which caused it to become moldy and then he had the meeting with the government officials, Austria and Hungary. It seemed as if the waking nightmare he was in kept getting worse and worse.

Normally Switzerland would call one of his fathers or his siblings to come pick him up, but he didn't want to be bombarded with questions asking why he was so upset. He did enjoy being comforted but always found it embarrassing to reveal why he needed comfort. He also had his reputation to uphold of an independent nation who was tough and required help from no one. After what seemed like hours of walking Switzerland made it to his house. He pulled out his key from his pocket, opened the door and relaxed as he felt the air of his home which was much warmer than the harsh rain. He stepped into the empty house and grabbed a towel from a closet, making sure not to get too much water on the floor.

Switzerland used to live with Liechtenstein but a couple of years ago she went to live on her own. Thankfully she wasn't fully alone since she teleported to her friend's houses almost every day. Switzerland was proud of his youngest sister for being independent but also missed having her around. He wished his other family members would visit more often. He may seem like he hates their company but his family is one of his favourite things in life.

Once Switzerland was somewhat dry he decided to take a long shower. Normally he took quick showers so that the water bill would stay low but decided that today would be an exception. Once he was finished he changed into his warmest pyjamas and watched some TV. Normally he'd eat some dinner around now but the meeting and walk home in the rain killed his appetite. After watching some more TV he remembered he had some microwave dinner that was going to expire soon and not wanting to waste perfectly good food he decided to eat it anyways. After eating he decided to go to bed since it had been a long day.
