*Prologue*

It was snowing outside. An old rag doll was standing by the window in the bedroom, watching the snow fall. She turned to see her grandchildren sitting on the bed. Twin ghoul boys and a young rag doll. The boys have dark red hair, pale skin, and a few stitches on their faces. The only way to tell the different between the two are the stitches over their eyes. The rag doll has teal hair, a missing eye, pale skin, and stitches.

"Snuggle in, sweeties. It's cold out there." The old rag doll spoke. She has long gray hair, wearing a warm robe. She has light blue skin with stitches. She is wearing glasses.

"Why did it snow, grandma? Where did it come from?" A young rag doll asked, sitting between her older brothers.

"They come from the clouds, Alice." One twin ghoul said.

"It's a long story." The old rag doll told the children. She is tucking them in. But the young rag doll looked at her.

"I wanna hear it." She said.

"Oh no. It's past your bedtime." The old rag doll said.

"But, we're not sleepy." The other twin said. "Please tell us a story." The old rag doll couldn't help but to smile. She started to sit on the chair next to the bed. The children sat up and eager to listen.

"It all began with scissors." The old rag doll said.

"Scissors?" Alice wondered.

"What does scissors have to do with snow?"

"Well, Jacob, Rei, and Alice, this town never snowed until a skeleton man came around. He has scissors for hands." The old rag doll said. The grandchildren are intrigued.

"Hands? Of scissors?" Rei asked.

"Cool!"

"Who is the skeleton man?" Alice asked.

"He was created by the inventor. But, the inventor was old and died before he could complete the skeleton. The skeleton was incomplete and all alone." The old rag doll said. "He was living alone up in the castle. Hiding away in the darkness. Until one day...someone found him."
