The Fourth Hokage, a man that was feared through the shinobi world, a man that some thought was the strongest to ever exist he was definitely the fastest first sure. If any enemy were to ever see him their best bet was running away. Only a few had ever battled him and lived to tell the story, Well for the rest they were dead before they could even blink. Minato Namikaze was a man that some thought to be the sage of the six paths reincarnation.

He was simply always the strongest on any battlefield no matter who he was facing. His nickname; the Yellow flash of the leaf. A man that some thought moved faster than light. A man whose reputation was well deserved.

Minato Namikaze, the yellow flash of the leaf, the fourth hokage, whatever you wanted to call him was the idol of Uzumaki Naruto. To him he was fascinating, the moment jiji had told Naruto of his reputation the boy knew he'd wanted to be just like him. To him the fourth was the ideal shinobi one that every shinobi should aim to surpass. Naruto had So much questions to ask the man, however he could never achieve his goal, for Minato Namikaze was dead.

Naruto had dreams of being just like the man. Funny thing about them was they were always unclear. After all you couldn't be like someone who you barely knew anything about.

Well that was until today October 10 naruto birthday and also his 5th birthday. Usually one would be celebrating this day with family and friends well not him. Naruto was an orphan according to the old man his family had died the day he was born making it so that no one knew who his parents were. What made this even worse is the fact that the same day he was born the kyuubi attacked the village making him seem like a bad omen.

The villagers seemed to take him being born on that horrid day as a sign to avoid, and to discriminate him from the rest going as far as to not serve him and even at times call him a demon. All this put together probably made him want to be like the fourth even more after all the man was respected throughout the whole village when he still walked this cruel world.

Anyway back to what was possibly going to be the best day ever for Naruto. A week before his birthday was arriving the third hokage had told him that when it was time for him to celebrate his big day to come to the hokage tower apparently the hokage had something special for him. Usually on his birthday Naruto would stay at the hokage tower all day observing what the old man did during the day. To some this wouldn't seem fun at all, but for him these days were always a dream come true. Even since the age of 2 he started this tradition. And as he walked towards the tower he was ready to make this the third year straight of this.

But what was gonna make this day even better was the fact that the special thing he was supposed to get would be the first birthday gift he would ever get. He would make sure to cherish it.

As Naruto walked more the hokage tower soon came into sight. Just the sight of the tower could make his day, which meant the already huge smile on his face somehow became even bigger. Not wanting to waste no more time he soon started a full sprint towards the tower. The happiness radiating from the boy was practically visible at this point.

Which made all the civilians that watched him become even more disgusted with the so- called demon of the leaf. While the nickname was mostly kept secret as only the civilians side and some shinobi knew of it. They all knew what would happen if that even thought of calling the boy that out loud. The first man to ever call the boy a demon had been sent to the T.I. Building in the village and was never heard from since. Truly no matter the hate they had for him they wouldn't risk their life just for an insult.

Hiruzen Sarutobi the third hokage. Was well aware of how his day would turn out today. Truly the man couldn't wait to see the smiling blonde haired boy burst through his door. Everytime the boy came through the door it made his day, it was always a breath of fresh air from the usually stressful days he had as a hokage.

Just as he finished his thoughts the exact same blonde haired boy burst through his doors. He was particularly radiating happiness. He could also swear he saw the plants in the room stand up straighter moment the boy came through the door. Matter a fact the room just seemed to get brighter when he stepped in. 'Weird' he thought the moment he realized.

"Well hello there Naruto-kun." The hokage said as he looked at the smile on the boy's face. 'Yeah today would definitely be a good day' the old hokage thought in his mind.

"Old man can you believe it the day finally came!" The young boy practically yelled. The more he stayed in the room the more the boy couldn't wait to finally receive his first birthday gift ever. 'Could it be a cool jutsu' he thought in his mind.

Truly he knew it couldn't be a jutsu. He hadn't even entered the academy yet. But hey you couldn't help to dream.

"Yes I can Naruto. Well anyway let's go and get you what I had promised." He said as he could already see the boy getting ready to ask for his gift. The boy nodded at this and soon followed the old man to a different room in the hokage tower.

After a couple of minutes of walk both of them stopped in front of an iron door with the number four on it. Usually the hokage would open any door with a key but instead the man stepped back and slapped the door with a chakra filled palm. Naruto watched as he saw chakra filled patterns cover the door.

His eyes opened in amazement. "What was that old man." He said in shock. He didn't know much about chakra but he never you could use it like that.

"Well that my boy is the art of fuinjutsu. Also known as the art of seals. With art of fuinjutsu you could possibly become the strongest shinobi on the battlefield at any given moment. After all, what do you think made the fourth so strong." He finished as he watched the boys eyes widened up to be as big as plates.

"Woah, well if that's true I gotta learn fuinjutsu." The boy had finished. 'If this is what made the fourth become that strong then I just gotta become better at it then him.' Naruto thought in his mind. Just like that he had another goal in mind.

The hokage laughed at his statement. "If that's true then I definitely picked the right gifts." He said which made the boy smile widen once again it seemed as if he had almost forgotten for a second.

The duo soon walked through the room that was strangely already lightened. As naruto walked into the middle of the room he saw that the room looked like it was made just for the fourth. After all, his picture was right in the middle. And what he could guess must be scrolls about him were scattered throughout.

As Naruto looked through the room the

Sarutobi had finally found what he was looking for. Walking up towards the young 5 year old he handed him two books, well that's what he could guess seeing as they were both wrapped.

As Naruto received the gift from the old man. He said a low thank you, before He started ripping through the wrapping paper. He opened the first gift and saw a book written by the fourth.

"My legacy" he read out loud. To him it was a pretty corny name. Like who would name a book that. As he soon turned the cover he opened up to the words, "For my future son, I hope you could be the one to finish what I started." It read. "Wait old man the fourth had a kid?" Naruto asked. 'If the man did why didn't everyone know of him, after the kids dad was a hero.' He thought.

"Well you see naruto he was supposed to have one. That day when you too were born I could guess that's when the fourth's kid had died with him. I hadn't even known that he had a kid on the way till the day it was being delivered." The hokage lied through his teeth. He knew he couldn't tell naruto of his parents if he did there would be a good chance of assaintion attempts at the boy's life. And that was something he definitely didn't want to risk till the boy was strong enough, and right now he definitely wasn't.

"Ohhh that's sad. To have their whole family die to a stupid fox." Maybe some of the villagers knew of the fourths family and since they had passed instead of him maybe that's why they hated him. Their leader hadn't survived but a no name like him had. He would be pretty upset but definitely not to their level. "But why would you give this to me?" Naruto asked.

"Well you do look up to the fourth and I just thought since you and his son were born on the same day why not give you the mantle. After all he did think everyone in the village was his family so why not give it to you." He finished with his barely half truth.

"Well then I'll make sure I take up the mantle and surpass him." Naruto finished with a determined look in his eyes

"Well then good for you naruto, but you forgot to open the second one, after all it's supposed to help you on your path." The hokage finished as he watched. The boy started ripping through the rest of the wrapping paper. Truly he didn't need to wrap any of the books at all but he thought why not wrap them.

"The Beginners Guide to Fuinjutsu, so that's why you brought me down here so I could be more interested in seals." He said.

"I truly don't know what you're talking about. Anyway let's go back to the office before anbu starts looking for us." The third said as he and Naruto soon walked away.

Naruto was currently walking back home after staying with Hokage all day. It truly was amazing the third had started helping him with fuinjutsu already as he was somehow already halfway through the first book.

To him fuinjutsu somehow came easy. He didn't know how to describe it but it was like he knew everything about fuinjutsu just from the name, well definitely not like that but the third consider him a prodigy in the art and praise from the Professor was not something you brush off.

Not to mention he had finally started learning more about his hero. Apparently Jiraiya of the sannin was the one who thought the fourth and that same Jiraiya learned under the old man. Who would have thought that the old man trained someone to become that strong.

Naruto was taken out of his thoughts after he Finally saw his apartment in the distance. He had quickly showered the moment he got home. And was soon ready to finally hit the hay after eating some late night ramen. But instead the boy did something he never thought he would do. He kept reading this time in Minato's book. He had kept reading till his body had forced him till he could barely even keep his eyes open.

Uzumaki Naruto had woken up with one thought on his mind. 'To get stronger, to surpass the fourth that's the goal' he thought. After a late night read he had decided if he wanted to surpass the fourth and prepare for the academy in a year he would have to begin his training now. The only question he had was how would he train.

xXx

After what had seemed like a long run to the hokage tower naruto had finally reached his destination. After thinking of what he was gonna do for training he had decided to ask the old man. Walking up towards the door Naruto walked straight in not caring to knock.

"Hey old man, I need training." He said with no remorse. Not even letting the man have time to say hello back yet.

"Well the hello to you too naruto. I was waiting for you to come back and ask me to help you. I thought it would have taken longer but doing something sonner is always better." He said as he picked up some scrolls from inside his desk. "Here it is, scrolls on the basic skills of being a shinobi and a beginning training schedule I would like you to work on. You could change it up when you feel like but this is a good place to start." He said.

As naruto was about to speak, Hiruzen cut him off. "No need to tell me anything, show me your gratitude by becoming the strongest shinobi you could be." He sId to which naruto just nodded. "Now get outta here and start training so you can take this hat from me." He said making the blonde sprint out of the room.

After finding a good training spot in one of the many forests in the leaf. Naruto sat down ready to finally get started. "Okay first things first stretching then taijutsu." naruto read off the list he was given.

Naruto had started with a couple jogs around his position till he could feel his blood pumping and was then followed by a few pushups and jumping jacks to get his muscle fully loose. After he had finished he went straight into the taijutsu scroll. Instead of a style at first what was thought was how he should kick, punch, block and many more. If naruto didn't have respect for the third and didn't want to be the best he would have probably skipped all this boring stuff and went straight into learning powerful jutsu but at least he decided not too.

After an hour of continuous punches and kicks towards the air naruto had finally started with going through the styles that were available for him to pick. There was the basic academy style that was a beginners style to be build on later, The goken that require great strength and speed to do, the swift style that used guerrilla warfare tactics with great speed, sticky style that just like its name used your chakra to stick onto your enemy and hit them with great power, and many others.

'Should I go with swift or sticky style.'he thought in his head. In reality he liked both his goal was already to get fast just like his idol which would make swift the go to one but if he used sticky he could do some serious damage but he wouldn't be able to use his speed that much. "Uhhhh why does this have to be so hard to choose from!" He said aloud to no one.

"What's so hard to choose from?" he heard a voice say. Looking behind him naruto saw two shinobi one with silver grayish hair and a mask with the leaf headband covering one of his eyes. And the other with a bowl cut wearing a green jumpsuit and freakishly big eyebrows. The voice coming straight from the man with the mask.

"Well I can't decide between these two taijustu styles." He said to them both.

"Well aren't you a bit young to be picking your own styles at this point." Kakashi said. Naruto clearly looked like he just entered if not about to enter the academy.

"Kakashi why would you ever say that! This young boy is clearly in the spring tube of his youth!" Guy said rather loudly. "Now then young man what can't you pick between?" Guy asked. Naruto just showed them both the styles.

After a while of reading Kakashi finally spoke up. "Just learn them both." He said to which naruto gave a confused look. "usually shinobi add two styles together and make their own, or just use one for their whole career." He said to boy.

"Yosh! My eternal rival is right once again. And not to mention both of these styles go perfectly together if you could mix it right." Guy said. "Kakashi use both of these styles and show him how they could be used together. I will defend." He finished.

The Kakashi that he was called made a hand sign and made two clones. "As you probably read the swift style is mostly used to be made with clones however you need large amounts of chakra to do that. If you can't make clones you could just use it normally." The man finished before him and his clones attacked the guy called guy from different sides. The first clone went forward and dodged a kick from Guy before grabbing onto him.

"Usually you wouldn't catch them first try but since this is just a practice we'll just show how effective it can be." He said as the shadow clone and original landed next to guy. "Right now if guy was an enemy this would be an easy hit on him and even a killing move at times. Now you could just do this solo and switch between guerrilla tactics or staying up close. If you do it randomly it makes it harder for your enemy to keep up." He finished before the two clones went up in smoke.

"Now do you understand young one." Guy said to which Naruto nodded. "Good now go and train in the springtime of your youth." He said before him and kakashi both walked away.

"Huh I could swear I saw that Kakashi guy from somewhere before." Naruto said before he went back to training. He could think about it later and he had improvements to make right now.
