In the world of Pokemon, understandably there was and is creatures known as Pokemon. Pokemon can vary in a multitude of things; Width, Length, Height, Strength, Intelligence and Speed to name but a few. Every Pokemon from the most inconsequential and weak such as Rattata, a small purple rat that enjoys chewing on wires and giving beginning trainers an example of what not to train, and the strongest and potent Pokemon such as Mewtwo or Yveltal that have the power to threaten the world they all wake up under the sun and all enjoy the beauty of the sunrise.

That brings up the question of what isn't a Pokemon in the world of Pokemon? Those beings are called humans. Bipedal creatures with varying skin colours and much like Pokemon varying attributes. What differs them from Pokemon though is that they are all one species, they all speak in one language, one that is easily understood between themselves. Despite different languages being used the most common one is called: English. It's origin is unknown but the language stuck and it's mainly what is spoken today. Specific humans can fulfil specific roles and jobs and a common job in this world is Pokemon Trainer. A Pokemon trainer as the name implies trains Pokemon in a symbiotic relationship: The Pokemon provides the strength and ability and the trainer provides the commands and strategy. Through these acts the Pokemon and trainer become stronger together and their relationship deepens, bad or abusive trainers notwithstanding.

The humans eventually developed and with them Pokemon. Because of this development Pokemon Battling became more mainstream and became hugely popular, so much so that when a child reached a certain age they were given a Pokemon and sent off on their own adventure filled with bonds and hardships.

Sunset, the thing every Pokemon enjoyed, it's oil spill of colours ever harmonious. Violet purple bleeding and oozing in an invasive fade, gentle orange gratefully accepting the hostile intruder with a passive embrace streaking the sky with a mix of each colour and if you were very lucky the sky reflected a beatiful crimson that was as easy on the eyes as the moon itself, it was always a treat to see.

A slim Pokemon leaning against the rough tree had been admiring the sunset in blissful silence. Lush bushes and bright leaves swished and they both created a peaceful crinkle that his pointy ears picked up twitching slightly from the reception. His immediate area revealed itself as a bright vibrant glade of trees and fields of blades of grass as green as you can get. Trees of brown dull bark highlighting the ever swooshing overhang of leaves, from the reaching and clutching branch matrix, that only just managed to give him sight of the sky and it's satisfying sunset. The brown eventually gave way to black unknown areas coated in shady black, though the Pokemon was not scared of this, his skin black aswell, the shadow his ally.

This Pokemon though, ears still softly detecting the sound of the ever present leaves was lanky and thin. His webbed feet crumpling the grass with the force of gravity while its black form rested on the brown giant careful to not bend the delicate flab of triangular mass on his lower back. The light that gave the plants and uncrumpled grass energy passed straight through his transparent and dome-like kneecap but were absorbed by his night coloured thigh and leg that stood out of the shade of the looming tree. Contrasted with his dark coloured main body what wrapped around his head was an almost blinding blood red tongue which functioned as a scarf, it was long and soft swaying gently under the tree as if it were a leaf aswell. Plenty of fauna and flora could be seen reflected in the frogs haphazard gaze of satisfaction through its gray eyes.

This Pokemon was a Greninja.

Well, these beings were a Greninja. Both of the beings in the Greninja body were unfamiliar with the world. Firstly, the being in control of the body was known as James in his own world. He was a Pokemon Trainer travelling with his Greninja, Jester, named after his tendency to tease his trainer and teammates. Before he was fused with his Greninja for some unknown reason, he was 18 and 6'1 these traits carried over to his new froggy body. Another thing about James was that he wasn't the best at emotions or social interaction and preferred to stick to Pokemon instead of people. Conversely, Jester was the Greninja and ever since he was a Froakie he couldn't recall a bad memory with his Trainer and he would even go so far as to say that being with the other Pokemon and James had been a wonderful experience and had really connected with them, always showering them with affection and treating all of them with respect.

The past trainer had not realised his new frog form yet as he had laid his eyes on the most beatiful sunset he had witnessed. He wasn't too sure on how long he had been a Greninja for, all he remembered was blurry vision and a copious amount of a halfway mind. His mind was so unfocused that even the sunset, something so usual and common had taken him in a trance and he wanted nothing more than to return to witnessing it for the rest of the day. Alas, something spurred him onward and he pushed himself off his comfy spot on the brown tower, standing naturally tall he took a webbed step and went crashing to the ground, tongue still swaying in the wind.

Laying on his side, his hand extended to push himself upright although mid action he realised that it wasn't a human hand. In place of his left hand with 4 average sized fingers and a thumb with likewise sized thumbnails was a thin and dextrous hand with 3 flat digits joint with webbing. He stopped his action and fell back down shifting his momentum so he was laid with his back flattening the blades of grass, their friends reaching up to his storm gray eyes.

The chromatic sunset met his eyes and a wave of emotion was washed over him, from his own world to now he couldn't help but feel something. He was torn, he was a Greninja which was exciting and had been one of his curiosity filled wonders but also there was a great sadness and anxiety that welled within him, he wondered about his other Pokemon and how they were doing and if he would ever see them again but also about this unfamiliar land. Instantly he could tell it wasn't Kalos, his new heightened Greninja senses told him the air seemed more fresher and the plants just felt more plant-like. It felt nice so he laid there for much longer than he should of, quietly digesting the raw emotions in the patience of the flora and warmth of the sunset.

When the sunset was no more and the sun had set, the frog-human hybrid had decided to get up from its motionless position. Resting for a second he prepared his legs for standing and with a push he was stood up albeit wobbly. Then he started familiarising himself with his vessel doing actions like moving his hand in various ways, firstly up and down then left to right and then a combination of them both and he found that his arms were much much more coordinated than his previous ones that felt like he was moving through mud, now they were as fluid as water. His legs followed the same pattern and were the same as his hands and arms in that they were very silky, once he had tried to jump bending low to the ground and propelling himself up with a strong effort only for him to go three times the height of the trees which easily doubled him. Instead of splatting on the ground when he reached terminal velocity his body instictively landed with its left hand nullifying any injury that might have happened from an action that wasn't his own.

Satisfied with the range of movement he wanted to see if he could dash, by familiarising himself with his new body then he could be more prepared for the unknown. By boosting off the ground he travelled through the air at a great speed and before connecting with the ground again he did another boost and maintained the momentum almost as if it was natural to him. Those two dashes had sent him across the diameter of the gathering he noted as he stopped himself eager to test out some more movement.

Jumping up to a thin branch that looked like it would snap if even a Pidgey sat on it revealed one of the answers to the questions he asked himself while laid down 'How light was he?', it seemed that his toad self was extremely light and balanced which was something that should come as no surprise to the so called 'Ninja Pokemon'. In a similar manner to dash he leaped to the next branch with expertise and halted. When he was a human he saw the reveal trailer to a new character in a popular fighting game, this character was Greninja who was added due to the recent popularity boom of his species. In the trailer he saw Greninja hanging upside from a branch and wanted to replicate that. At full height he tried to direct his body upside down while still pivoting on the branch but stopped due to the falling feeling. Mustering his courage he willingly fell and twisted under the branch before plummeting into the floor with a crash, he decided to leave it before brushing himself down and leaving the glade behind with a hop, skip and a dash deciding he had better things to do.
