Here I am with another one-shot! I apologize if this isn't that good, I decided to write today. This is romance, as I always come back to it lol. Still, I hope you enjoy it. Happy Halloween everyone!
Sora and Mimi walked into the school gymnasium where the party was going to take place. The red haired woman didn't want to come, but her friend kept talking about this so much she eventually agreed to this. Mimi was dressed as a witch, with a very short length black dress and long black boots and a hat to complete her outfit. Sora was wearing strapless black overalls with a black mask in her eyes and wig. They took a long look around the place. It was decorated in black and red and there were a lot of fake bats, pumpkins and ghosts among other Halloween related decorations. A dim blue light was illuminating the gym. There weren't many people around yet, considering the party had started ten minutes ago.
'The boys and Hikari aren't here, from what I can see."
"Are you afraid Yamato won't recognize you with this mask?" Mimi teased. "He could see you even if you came dressed as a mummy, trust me. That's how strong your connection is."
"Stop it." Sora blushed. She had to agree with Mimi, but acknowledging this out loud always made her feel embarrassed. "How about you though? Are you actually going to make a move on Koushiro? Or maybe you changed your mind and decided to let your guard down for Taichi?"
"I don't know." Mimi shrugged. "I was actually going to suggest a polygamous relationship."
"What?!" Sora was eye widened at her confession. "Being close friends to both of them, I hardly think they'd accept this. Well, Taichi would be more open to the idea I suppose, but Koushiro would be 100% against it. Especially when one of his best friends is involved. Besides, don't all the parts have to be bisexual for this? I am fairly certain they are not."
"Well, not exactly." Mimi spoke. "Since I'm the only woman in this, and I know for a fact I'm completely straight. They would have to, though. But you're right, it's very likely they won't accept it. I can still have my fun before I choose, right?"
"I guess so." Sora said uneasily. "I just hope you be careful with it okay? Don't forget you are dealing with two other people who have feelings for you."
"Yes, I know." Mimi went to the drink table, followed closely by Sora. She grabbed a plastic cup and put on some drink on it. "I promise I'll try to keep my feet to the ground. I also don't want to mess with their friendship, though I know there will be some tension among us after I make up my mind."
"Yeah. Both of them would make great boyfriends though."
A black cape involved Sora's full body and a face reached down for her ear. She immediately got cold chills all over her and didn't even need to look to see who it was.
"I told you he would recognize you no matter what."
"Who would make a great boyfriend?" Yamato whispered as low as he could, so only she could hear him.
"That guy over there." Sora looked over to a random guy who was dressed as a prince, after she turned around to look at Yamato in his eyes. "Who wouldn't want to have a prince in their lives?"
Yamato followed her gaze and frowned. "Oh please. He may be good looking, but I heard he's a jerk. He's in the lacrosse team in school."
"I could go for someone from the lacrosse team."
"I thought musicians were more your thing." He whispered as he began to kiss her neck softly.
"Not really." Sora threw her arms around his neck and reached up for his ears. "But I can change my mind if this musician takes me to dance floor."
"It's so cute that you two came with matching costumes." Mimi squealed.
"It wasn't easy though. I had to do a lot of convincing."
"Yeah, she for some reason hated my scarecrow costume."
"That thing was hideous." Sora frowned and ran her hands through his chest. "Heroes suit you so much better."
"You two are my relationship goal."
"The power to accomplish this is in your hands tonight." Sora winked at her and turned her attention back to Yamato. "So what does he think about it?"
"This musician is happy to fulfill your wish." He smiled and took her to the center of the place.
Mimi turned around and saw her happy friends dancing on the dance floor with a grin. She took another sip of her red drink and almost spilled it when Taichi approached her. He was wearing the most horrible costume ever.
"Hello, baby." He kissed her on the cheek. "Are you ready to have some fun tonight?"
"I most certainly am." She looked him up and down with a frown. "What are you supposed to be again?"
"A scarecrow, of course." Taichi replied rather proudly. "Cool, right?"
Mimi couldn't help but burst into laughter, much to Taichi's embarrassment and anger. "Sorry honey, that thing is awful. Wait, is this the costume Yamato was supposed to wear?"
"Yeah, why?"
"It's a good thing Sora convinced him to change his mind. I wouldn't want to be seen with anyone dressed like this."
"Wow, that really hurts." He dramatically placed his hand over his heart. "Is it really that bad?"
"Yes." Mimi said between laughs. She then put her glass back on the table and approached him. "But I can make an exception and let a scarecrow entertain me tonight."
"He'll be more than glad to."
Taichi placed an arm around her and held her chin with his hand. Mimi stood on her toes and locked lips with him. She wrapped her arms around his neck as the kiss became deeper and slower. Suddenly she felt like everyone else around her had disappeared. It was always like this when she was around Taichi. He'd make her feel like she was floating and that nothing else mattered to her. She gladly allowed his tongue to enter her mouth and both teenagers tightened their grips around each other. Mimi could feel every inch of Taichi's body on her and something was ignited inside her. She pulled away before she lost control of herself, though it was the last thing she wanted to do.
"You didn't enjoy it?"
"I did." Mimi replied looking up at him. "But I thought it was better to stop before we'd be ripping each other's clothes off."
"Would that be such a bad thing to me?" He whispered seductively. "We're almost 18 now."
"That's true, but…" Mimi glanced around and saw a red haired boy dressed as Dracula. There was Koushiro involved in this too. She felt a pain in her heart knowing he saw her kissing Taichi. "I promised Sora I'd keep my feet on the ground."
"I see. It's cool, I totally get it." Taichi smiled. "I'm going to get a green drink, do you want some?"
"No, I'm good. Thanks."
Sora looked intently to her two friends and noticed the moment Koushiro arrived and immediately saw their kiss. Her body became tense for a couple of seconds within Yamato's touch. "Poor Koushiro."
"I hear you. But they are all grown up, they are completely aware of where they're stepping at." Yamato looked down at his girlfriend. "I trust everything will turn out for the best for them."
"I hope so. I'd hate to see Taichi's friendship with Koushiro be ruined because of this."
"Well, it's up to them to deal with this. We can only be here for them."
"I suppose so." She looked up at his blue eyes. "So I see you pushed your hideous costume to Taichi."
"Yeah, and I actually thought he could have some sense and not wear it, but I was wrong." Yamato laughed. "By the way, how is the musician treating you tonight?"
"Oh, he's alright I believe." Sora put her index finger below her chin. "But I would say he failed his test."
"He failed? Why is that?"
"Well, ever since he arrived he hasn't even kissed me. That's enough of a reason to fail."
"I'll make sure to tell him that." Yamato slid his hands to her waist. "Is there something else he can do to make it up for you?"
"Maybe he can do what he hasn't yet." Sora pressed her lips against her boyfriend's and quickly pulled back. "And also take me on a date."
"It's no trouble for him at all. He can do that."
"Not sure about that." She teased.
"Maybe he should show you then."
"I've been waiting for him to."
Yamato placed his left hand at the back of her neck and pulled her into him. Their kiss started off sweet and passionate, but quickly turned deeper when their tongues got involved. He moved his hand to her cheek and she did the same with hers.
"I love your dress." Koushiro said as he finally approached Mimi. He blushed when he realized what he had said. "And your costume too, of course."
Mimi let out a warm laugh. "It's okay, you can praise only my dress. There's a reason why I put it on in the first place."
"Oh good, I thought you could be offended by it."
"Not when it comes from you." She looked at him. "Your costume looks great too! Very well done."
"Thanks, my mother helped me with the make-up."
"Look, I…"
"I know what you're gonna say and it's okay." Koushiro interrupted her. "Me and Taichi are aware of where we stand and we've talked about this."
"You have?" Mimi asked surprised. "I didn't know that."
"That's because we weren't supposed to let it slip to you, and I just realized I couldn't keep my promise."
"So what did you two talk about?"
"Well, we agreed not to let it get between our friendship and that we wouldn't be upset with each other regardless of who you choose to be with."
"Seems like you both have been pretty mature about this whole situation."
"There's also one more thing."
"Really?"
"We sort of mentioned the possibility of having a relationship with three people."
"What?!" Mimi asked in shock.
"Well, not exactly a relationship because everyone is straight. We are okay with you dating both of us. But we also want to be able to date other girls."
"Hmmmm." Mimi pondered what was being offered to her for a moment. "That sounds really tempting. I'm surprised you were the one to suggest me such thing."
"We were supposed to tell you together, but this place got crowded and I can't find Taichi."
"He's probably drunk already." Mimi rolled her eyes.
"So what do you say?"
"I have to think about this. I'm still recovering from the shock." She grinned and then jumped into Koushiro's arms. "I'm in! We're going to start now, right?"
"That's up to you." He still had his arms around her.
Mimi was so close to his neck that she couldn't help not smell his cologne. She had never fully paid attention to it until now. "I really like the way you smell."
"Are you serious?" Koushiro asked. "I think it's a little too exaggerated for me, but I can use it more often for you."
"I'd love that." She pulled away from him just enough for her to see his eyes. Her expression was serious while she was running her fingers softly over his face. Koushiro watched her intensely and felt chills down his spine when Mimi slowly traced his lips with her index finger. "Your lips are so soft. I wonder how they taste like."
"Well, there's only one way to find out."
He could barely finish his sentence. Mimi's mouth was already brushing against his. As soon as he recovered his initial shock with her suddenly gesture, he relaxed his shoulders and tightened his arms around her. Mimi moaned into his mouth when she felt her body being pressed into his. They were quite near a wall, so Mimi guided him backwards until she had him pining against it. She forced her tongue into his mouth as she grabbed his hand and placed it over her butt. Koushiro then began to push her away when he realized they were still in a party.
"Mimi, I know you really want this to go further and so do I, but this isn't the time and place."
"You're right. I'm sorry." She wasn't at all bothered with him interrupting their make-out session. In fact, she couldn't be happier that night. She wouldn't need to make a choice between Koushiro and Taichi, and she was all glad for that. "Let's go! The night is young and we will have the night of our lives!"
She grabbed him by the hand and dragged him to the now crowded dance floor.
