Attack on the Stateman:

(Previously on Thora 3)

Thora and Jesse held arms around each other as they stared out into space. Thora was in a new suit. A black suit similar to her original one with golden circles and studs and a short golden cape.

"Do you really think it's a good idea to bring Loki back to Earth?"

"Definitely not," Thora answered. "Jesse…I know this is probably a question you might not like but…you don't he's changing do you?"

"I understand why you asked that question. He definitely didn't betray us and he helped us escape from Sakaar. But it still doesn't excuse all the terrible things he did before,"

Thora didn't say another word but accepted it.

"Your father would be so proud of you right now," he said.

"I'm glad that before he died, he accepted our relationship. I'm glad he saw what I saw in you,"

"What's that?"

"Courage, compassion, wisdom. All the things suitable for a king,"

Jesse chuckled nervously. "I more of the science guy than the king guy,"

Thora giggled back.

Jesse realised himself and held her hands. "Thora…I have waited months for this moment. And I would love to do it now before anyone especially your brother sees it" he pulled out a small black box from his pocket. "You are the most wonderful person I have ever met. You're kind and brave and selfless, and you're never afraid to do what is right for other people,"

He kneeled down. Thora couldn't hold her excitement in. He lifted up the lid of the box revealing a ring with a diamond encrusted on the top.

"Thora, will you…"

Before he could utter the words, a dark shadow loomed over them from the windows. A whirring noise emitted from outside. They turned and saw a ship ten times bigger than their one. It was closing in on them.

Then suddenly Boom!

(Present moment)

Thora coughed and grunted as she sat up. She saw Jesse cringing in pain beside her. Everything around them was on fire and the room was smoking and badly damaged.

"What – the hell!" Jesse coughed.

Thora steered her face forwards. Her eyes enlarged when the giant ship that had fired at them approached closer. Her heart started pounding in her chest.

"What is that?" Jesse asked.

His girlfriend couldn't answer.

"Thora!" Una's shrieking voice was buffed by a damaged com.

Thora staggered to the radio.

"Una!" she called back. "We're under attack! Everyone! Get to the escape pods!" she ordered. "Cousin! Send out an SOS! I repeat send out an SOS!"

"Got it!"

"Thora! Get down!'

Thora felt Jesse's hands push towards the ground as another boom came out of nowhere.

At the far back of the ship, Una, her mother, Fandrall, Brunhille, Loki and the Hulk started rounding up the survivors.

"What is going on?" Fandrall asked.

"I don't know! Thora doesn't know what's happening! Fandrall! Send out a signal on that radio!"

"I'm on it!" Fandrall quickly dashed to the radio and started pressing buttons.

Una's mother Lyria started helping all the survivors they could find abord the ship.

"Who in the Nine Realms dare to attack us?" Heimdall asked.

"I don't know," Una sighed. "Brunhille, find Thora and Jesse. And Loki too,"

Brunhille was about to go when she saw a ship right outside the rear window. It prepped its massive guns. "Get down!" Quickly she pushed Una to the ground and boom!

Thora' vision went black again. This hit had been a bit harder that she started cringing and her lips were bleeding. As she struggled to get herself up, she heard pounding.

It was slow and steady.

She twisted her head towards Jesse's ash covered face and saw the fear in his eyes. He could feel it too. He twisted his body around slowly. Emerging from the clouds of ash from behind were four figures emerging from the rear. They wore black armour, and some carried deadly weapons.

There was a sudden thud behind him. He twisted his face and saw a giant face with a giant chin.

"Hear me and rejoice! You have had the privilege of being saved by the Great Titan. You may think this is suffering. No... it is salvation. The universal scales tip toward balance because of your sacrifice. Smile... for even in death, you have become children of Thanos." an alien being with a smashed-up face approached, walking over numbers of bodies, alive or dead.

Thora tried to get up and fight when she was suddenly pinned down in the back. She felt pressure pushing down on her back, almost breaking her backbone.

"I know what it's like to lose," a voice said above her. "To feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail, nonetheless. It's frightening,"

Thora's was lifted up by the neck.

He lifted Thora up by the collar. She tried to fight back but she was too weak. The giant fingers engulfed her neck, almost chocking her. She was turned towards a giant face with a bulbous chin and cruel dark eyes.

"Put – her – down," Jesse coughed from the floor.

The towering giant paid no attention.

"Turns the legs to jelly. I ask you, to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here," he dropped Thora. "Or should I say, I am." he held up a giant gauntlet showing a purple stone embedded in a slot under one of his giant fingers.

"Who are you?" Thora coughed, spitting out some blood.

"I am Thanos, saviour of worlds, restorer of the balance of the Universe,"

"Your actions speak louder than words," hissed the Asgardian Queen.

"We found him father," another voice said from nearby. An alien wearing green and golden armour pushed forward Thora's brother loki.

"Ah Loki," Thanos said.

Thora gawked at Loki, facially demanding an answer. He could not speak.

"Ahh…" Thanos sighed. "I take it your sister does not know. She doesn't know that I brought you back, that I supplied you the Chittari, that I sent you to attack Earth to reclaim the Tesseract,"

Thora was too weak to speak or act. Her brother had been an associate of that alien, he had been the supplier of his army which he used to invade Earth nearly seven years ago.

"Now…the Tesseract," Thanos demanded. "Or your sister's head,"

"Kill away," was Loki's answer "She means nothing to me,"

"As you wish,"

Thanos pressed the stone to Thora's head. She groaned, almost screamed.

Jesse tried to stand up, but he was too weak. The only thing strong enough for him to use was his voice. He cried out 'stop' to Thanos, but the titan would not listen.

"Alright stop!" Loki snapped.

Thanos pulled the stone from Thora's head and she coughed, and she cringed, the power still in her head as if a fire was burning inside her skull. "We don't have the Tesseract!" she shouted. "It was destroyed on Asgard when it exploded!"

"Not quite," Loki corrected.

Thora looked at him confused.

He twirled his right hand in front of him and in his hands appeared the Tesseract.

"You idiotic buffoon," Thora cursed. I thought you were through with your mischief.

Loki glanced at her. "I'm sorry. I was born the god of Mischief. I will always remain the god of Mischief. But I promise you sister, the sun will shine on us again,"

"You made a bold choice…for the good of the balance of the Universe Asgardian," Thanos addressed Loki.

"For one thing I am not Asgardian. For another thing…we have a Hulk. And a group of dashing warriors who actually standing right near us to kick your ass,"

Suddenly the Hulk emerged from behind a hidden corner and attacked Thanos, making him drop Thora who Loki pulled away to safety. He grabbed Jesse too.

Hulk punched Thanos, forcing him backwards away from everyone. He pinned him against the wall and bashed his head, but Thanos grabbed both his wrist and pushed him back. He gained the upper hand. Hulk was head-butted by a rough golden helmet and pinned against metal panels before Thanos lifted him up without

"Nobody does that to my friend!" Una hissed. She jumped at the Titan, but he punched away. Brunhille made a go for him. Fandrall too. But Thanos kicked them away, knocking them against walls, too hard that they couldn't stand up.

Thora growled as she saw Thanos take out her friends. Without thinking she grabbed a broken piece of metal and charged at Thanos. The moment she wacked him on the head, her weapon broke in half. Thanos grabbed her throat again and she was tossed to the floor. She landed beside her boyfriend. The squid face alien lifted up his fingers and pieces of flying metal wrapped around them.

He stood over to finish him off, only to be kicked in the face by the feet of two flying women with swords. Una and Brunhille punched his face and his legs but he was too strong. Heimdall leapt from the shadows and tried to stap his sword but Thanos reacted too quickly and grabbed his throat. He tossed him to the floor.

Una and Brunhille were overpowered as well and kicked down by the mighty Titan.

"Puny females," he sighed. "So desperate to win…only to lose,"

Thora yelled and grabbed and piece of metal, slashing Thanos's side. But it snapped in two. Thanos grabbed her throat and threw her to the ground.

Ebony lifted up his hands and metal pieces wrapped up Thora and Jesse together like rope.

Thanos went mmm and turned his attention back to the Hulk, Heimdall and the two girls. Thora stared across to Heimdall, giving him a desperate look. Words were streaming between them in their heads. Send us all to Earth. It must be warned.

Heimdall nodded and he coughed. "All fathers…" he muttered, raising up a weak hand. "let the dark magic flow through me one last time,"

Just then two streams of rainbow colours flew through the ship, carrying Hulk, Una and Fandrall away through space. It was not close enough to carry Thora, Heimdall and Jesse away too.

Heimdall looked at them with remorse. Thanos towered over him. "Big mistake,"

He took one of his son's staffs. And he stabbed the former Gatekeeper.

"No!" Thora screamed at seeing one of her closest friends being killed right in front of her eyes. Heimdall laid down dead giving out one final breath. "You're going to pay for that as well as everything else, you bastard!" she cursed Thanos.

The squid-man flicked his fingers and two metal pieces rapped around her mouth, gagging her.

"How dare you…" Jesse was silenced by metal wrapped around his mouth too.

Ebony took the Tesseract from Loki's hand. The God of Mischief was pinned down by the lady with blue hair and horns sprouting out of her head.

"My humble personage bows before your grandeur," Ebony genuflected on his knees. "No other being has ever had the right to wield nay, nobility to wield not one, but two Infinity Stones,"

Thanos took the cube.

"The universe lies within your grasp,"

With one squeeze, it went crash shattering into a thousand pieces. He blew the glass pieces away revealing a blue stone. Holding it over another slot on his gauntlet, he dropped it and it fell into the place. Blue energy surrounded him as he felt himself growing stronger.

Jesse and Thora watched with fear in their eyes.

"There are two more stones on Earth. Find them, my children and bring them to me," he ordered. "I will find the Reality stone,"

His children bowed.

"Father we will not fail you," the woman Proxima promised.

"Perhaps…" Loki coughed out of lack of air. "You could take me with you. You might need a guide,"

Thora growled behind her gag.

"Not this time," Thanos shook his head, holding up an unmoveable face. "I do not accept failures in my calling. But as a reward for bringing me the stone, you will not die by my hand. Instead, you will die with your sister," With a swing of his giant foot, he sent Loki falling back onto his side near Jesse and Thora.

"You..." Thanos pointed at Jesse. "I'll be taking,"

Thora screamed behind her mask.

Ebony twisted his fingers and Jesse was gently lifted into the air.

Thora tried to break free but her metal restraints still wouldn't move. Jesse screamed out to her but his words were muffled by his metal gag.

"Master..." Proxima Midnight approached her father from behind. "Look who I found," she hurled forward the body of none other than Yazmisa.

The moment his eyes were laid on her, Thanos's face went soft. "Yazmisa..."

The moment her eyes met his, Yazmisa suddenly screamed out angrily and made a lung for him but he caught her by the neck.

"What are you doing here?"

"Kicking your big fat chin. Now tell me...where...is he?" she choked.

Thanos brought her face closer. "You'll find out soon enough," he tossed her to the floor. "You're coming with us," The mad titan turned his head back to Thora and Loki.

'Have fun exploding," he sneered. As he circled his fingers, a burst of purple energy swept over the ship, causing it to burst into flames of purple. He raised his hand again. this time a blue portal formed behind him, his adoptive children and his new captives.

Thora's restrains broke apart and she collapsed to the floor. She glared darkly at Loki. She wanted to rile on him but the ship was exploding behind them. She could nothing but succumb to exhaustion as the ship exploded all around them. The next thing she felt was darkness.

First chapter done. What did you all think of Loki not getting killed and Una and Brunhille being sent to Earth with Hulk? And why did Thanos take Jesse and Yazmisa? What is her history? We'll have to wait and find out. Thought I might make a few alternate changes. Please feel free to send over any ideas whenever you want.
