Greetings to those who may have had a passing interest in my writing here on Fanfiction for the past couple of years, as well as those as fanatically fond of Star Wars as I am!

Now in the past couple of years I like to think my Fanfic's carried a spark of imagination and a twinge of my ability as a writer however looking back, I didn't put my soul or my full writing ability into any of them truly. This I intend to rectify with the project before you now!

This is a project that in a way was three years of gameplay in Star Wars The Old Republic in the making. I have played through all eight character paths for both Republic and Sith Empire and now will craft that into a fantastic story for you all centered around my favorite of those eight, Kurasson a Sith Warrior of the Thyferus Legacy. For those Republic and Jedi fans among you this story will largely focus from an Imperial viewpoint cause in my blunt opinion I always found the Sith Empire far cooler than the Galactic Republic.

Frankly I don't much care for the newer expansions such as Knight's of the Fallen Empire and Knight's of the Eternal Throne so this is going to disregard that portion of galactic history and we are going to take our story off from just after the events of Rise of the Hutt Cartel on the planet Makeb. In this scenario we will say that the Revanite Crisis does not occur, the cult stays hidden for some time longer or doesn't rise to the prominence it did I'm still thinking on that one, and the Eternal Empire stays in the Unknown Regions. Here is a short timeline of recent events as of when the story will commence:

Everything between 3681 BBY (Before Battle of Yavin for those of you new to Star Wars) and 3642 BBY is as it happened in good and proper Legends Lore. This includes the Great Galactic War and the Cold War during which the Galactic Republic ceded half the known galaxy to the Sith Empire and then the two galactic superpowers played a game of covert and overt skirmishing through diplomacy, spies, assassination, and countless other fun activities as those of us who have played SWTOR remember.

However at the start of the Second Great Galactic War in 3642 BBY in this timeline the war rages for longer, until 3630 BBY and it is a devastating defeat for the Sith Empire. Countless systems are lost to the Republic due to infighting among the Dark Council, inefficiency by members of the same, and bold new Republic and Jedi commanders taking to the frontlines with a fire in their hearts. Though unable to totally destroy the Sith Empire the Galactic Republic does force them out of the Expansion Regions and the Mid Rim entirely and force a humiliating armistice in a splash of irony; The Treaty of Korriban is as humiliating to the Sith Empire as The Treaty of Coruscant was to the Galactic Republic. Even worse for the Sith, their defeat drove countless Nonaligned systems to join the Republic, now seen as the eminent power in the galaxy.

As of 3629 BBY one year after the end of the Second Great Galactic War when our story begins, the Sith Empire is broiling with unrest from all corners of society at how badly the Dark Council handled the war. This is where my Imperial characters come in who've interacted with one another over the course of the SWTOR story and over the years they have been building up a power base, with plans in place to change the Empire for the better. It is clear to anyone that the Empire is corrupted by disease ridden influences and that the Sith are likewise so over the years these individuals and their allies have been preparing to replace it all.

Now thats enough revealing the plot for now. More elements will be revealed as the story goes on and we dive deeper into what has changed in this timeline.

As a note in regards to the major companion characters, Malavai Quinn and Kira Carsen for example, I will be going into the story under the assumption that these characters are at the very least familiar so this fic may be a bit biased towards those actually familiar with SWTOR. I will probably dive into how I have diverted the plot for the characters for purposes of this story but not much more.

In regards to technology I just love the ships and weaponry used in the Old Republic era but I do intend to incorporate advancing technology. Now most of these cases is likely to be simple alterations of previous designs already well established in Legends Lore, but any fan designs I find to be cool or would like to use I will obtain appropriate permission to use and give due credit to the creator. I would also invite any potential or interested readers to submit ideas for ships, planets, and/or characters you feel might be interesting to see in the story. I feel that a set application for such is far too restrictive to really get intent across so if you have a character or ship or a planet to submit send it to me via a direct message and describe in your best detail. You will receive full credit and also advise how your character would act, how they would react to this event or that battle etc. Also by sheer requirement of the established lore technology had to have advanced at least somewhat. Isotope-5 would at the very least result in weaponry if not visual modifications to warships.
