They had a plan. It wasn't one of their best, but it should be good enough to do what they wanted. And what was that? To corrupt this fluffy boy. Ralsei was too nice for his love to be shared by anyone but Kris, and maybe Susie, but that would be after they had gotten her too.

It was so annoying to be in competition with someone else when it came to having a loved one's attention, so they might as well make sure that the two monsters had no love to share with anyone but Kris and each other. It had worked with Noelle after all.

Made things so much easier.

"So, where are we going Kris?" said Ralsei, who at this point was getting quite confused. The area behind the castle wasn't of much interest yet, just empty houses and desolate roads.

"We are going on an adventure, Ralsei." Kris replied, slowly getting annoyed. Where was that damn battle-hungry maniac, they knew that this was where they went when the urges became too much.

And then, they heard it. From a distance came the sounds. They were an amalgamation of electric zapping, and the animalistic screaming of a wild beast.

Kris smiled. They had found them. Now, it was time for some fun… well not actually, this was probably going to suck. But the reward was well worth it. They started to run in the direction of the sounds at a rapid pace, quikly leaving Ralsei behind. As they did, the growls were joined by the sound of concrete breaking, wood snapping and asphalt rending. Oh yeah, this was going to be perfect.

They turned a corner, and there was the barest flash of blue and white, before Kris was sent flying through the air, to then collide with one of the uniform houses. That was of course when Ralsei made his entrance, and gasped. There, only a few meters from him, was a Werewere Wire. But they were quite unlike themself. Where normally they were concentrated power and sharpened battlelust, now they were stuck in a furious bloodrage, destroying anything in their sight. It seems that civilization was nothing for them.

Kris picked themselves up, raised their shield and sword, and looked at Ralsei. "This is what I was trying to show you. I heard some rumours that they weren't doing too well, and were seen lurking off to the back of the castle. Seems we now know why." he then said, while still looking at Ralsei, an opening that no sane person would ever miss.

Of course, the Werewere Wire took advantage of it. Kris smiled. With a quick turn and a thrust of their shield, they swiftly parried the 'Wire's claw and threw them off their game. Another thrust, and they backed away from their prey. Kris wasn't that stupid, it was quite easy to keep half an eye on them when talking to Ralsei.

What wasn't easy though, was trying to block a laser. That went badly. Kris took it straight to his right arm, stopping him from retaliating with his sword. Before Kris could do something in response, the 'Wire flew like a missile, claws at the ready, at Kris. In a moment it was over.

Kris lay at the ground, their armour and the torso under it a torn mess. "Ralsei! Hit him!" they exclaimed, voice hoarse and rough. There was nothing they could do now, but hope that they were right. Ralsei's scarf limply whipped out, hitting the 'Wire in the face. They slowly turned to look at him, with a slowly growing growl.

A swift backhand was all that was needed, and Ralsei was virtually out of the game. The 'Wire then turned, and slowly started lurching towards Kris. Ralsei could do nothing but watch, despair and desperation swiftly growing. Why were they doing this? Did their friendship mean nothing?

And then, there was a new feeling growing in his chest, one that he had never felt before. It was hot and glowing bright, uncontrollable. His magic responded, and with a swift tugging motion aimed at the 'Wire, he tore something from them, making them fall to the ground in a heap.

Left with a red mass within his paws, which had something wrong with them but that wasn't important now, he looked at Kris and knew, even though he had not done this before, that this could help him. With another motion, this time a thrust of the hand aimed at Kris, the red mass flew at them and entered their body. Slowly they were restored, and soon Kris was right as rain.

"Kris!" he exclaimed, running over to them. They swiftly sat up and smiled at Ralsei. "Well, that wasn't how I was expecting this to go, but at least you got a new spell out of it Ralsei." they said, grin wide and glee evident.

"I don't know if I-I like that spell. It felt off. Like I wasn't s-supposed to do that." Ralsei responded, voice somewhat shaky, but still resolute. Kris could only shake their head when Ralsei turned around to check on the 'Wire. They supposed that he still needed some work done to be perfect. Not like they were expecting that to happen immediately though, so it was no major loss.

There was an unexpected boon however. They thought back to that critical moment, when Ralsei cast their spell. Before it, his fur slowly started to turn a grey, then black colour. They wondered what else would have happened if it had continued. This needed some more experimentation.

They turned to look at where the 'Wire was supposed to be, only to see them lurking away, their tail happily swinging from side to side in contentment. Seems like they at least enjoyed the fight. Ralsei, on the other hand, seemed shooked and contemplative. Kris sighed. This was going to take a while to defuse. But at least, it would be worth it in the end. Ralsei would be theirs, it was only a matter of time and effort.

That's a second One-shot down, and it is another one that could be continued at a later date. Tried to do at least a little more dialogue in this one, don't know if it was any good. Please do say if it was shit, I won't improve otherwise. Though of course point out why, just saying it is shit isn't something you can improve with.
