From Passing Notes to Passing Heart

Second Summary: Katie comes into class one day and finds Travis is there too. She has to deal with him for the rest of the year at least, especially since this is their senior year. Travis won't stop passing notes to her. She hates it, but she finds herself sending notes back even if she doesn't seem to want to.

A/N I originally got this idea from a Quogan fic I read called I Hate You More by smileybubbles08. If you like Quogan from Zoey 101 you should totally go read it. Anyway, this will have a similar feel to that one. There may be a few chapters where there is no note passing, like this one. For the most part this will be about Tratie passing notes.

Also, I wrote this several years ago when I first was obsessed with Tratie. I still love them to death, though. Just a warning, this could be really bad. I will get better though, I hope.

Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson or any of the characters. They belong to Rick Riordan, who I am not.

Chapter 1: Intro

Katie's POV

It was the first day of my senior year of high school. I was so excited to be back home and spend some time with my mortal friends. Don't get me wrong, I love my friends and siblings back at Camp Half Blood, but sometimes I just need a little less crazy in my life. And since I am a daughter of Demeter, I don't attract many monsters as some other demigods might. I usually only have to deal with one or two monsters over the school year. Even so, those monsters are not bothersome for me. I still keep a supply of ambrosia in my locker just for emergencies. You never know and I don't want to take any chances with my life.

When I walk into school, I am immediately greeted by my two best mortal friends, Cecelia, or CeCe, and Danielle, or Dani.

"You're back!" They scream together. They greet me with our traditional group hug as they do at the start of every school year. I see them over the summer, so the first day of school is usually the first time that I see either of them after 3 months away at camp

Once I am released from their hold, I say, "Yes, I'm back. And it's so good to see you guys. I missed you."

"You wouldn't have to miss us if you spent the summer with us for at least one summer," CeCe complained. She was always upset when I told her every summer that I couldn't spend it with her and Dani. She didn't understand why I had to go to a summer camp every summer for the whole summer. I tried to explain it to them by telling them that that is when I was able to spend time with my mother, which is true. That confused them a bit, but then they wanted to go to the camp and meet my mother. I then had to explain that it was a special camp only for people with both ADHD and/or dyslexia like myself. They were disappointed, but they understood. Although, just because they understood doesn't mean that they still weren't upset they couldn't see me all summer.

"Kate? Katie? You still with us?" Dani was waving her hand in front of my face.

I grabbed her hand to get her to stop. i shook off the rest of my thoughts and finally responded, "Yeah, sorry. Got a bit lost in thought there. It's great to see you guys though. I am so excited for our senior year." We all squealed together.

I checked the time and noticed that we needed to get to class soon. So we walked together to our homerooms. We talked about our summers. I only told them what I could about my summer at Camp Half Blood, including Travis Stoll, the bane of my existence. I complained to them about Travis at the beginning of every school year. I told them about all the pranks he would pull on me including the one where he put chocolate bunnies on top of my cabin's roof which just happens to be grass. Oh, he just frustrates me so much. I know that it is always his idea rather than his younger brother Connor's idea. My reasoning: I have actually been around Connor without Travis isn't around. He is actually pretty fun to hang out with when it is just him.

Anyway, this year I told them about how he had dyed my hair green by switching out my shampoo with green hair dye. I had green hair for weeks. It pissed me off so much. I got him back though. I didn't tell Dani and CeCe that though because I used my powers to tie him up with plants.

"Katie, I can't believe he did that," Dani said.

"I can," CeCe said in a sing-songy voice. She was convinced ever since I first told them about Travis that he has a crush on me. She even thinks that I have a crush on him. Gross! I hate Travis. There is no way I could ever like him. I can't imagine why CeCe would think such a thing.

"Of course, you can. You still think that he likes me, which is ridiculous. Same goes for me liking him. I can't stand him," I said trying to convince CeCe of the truth.

"Sure! Whatever you say, Katie," CeCe said sarcastically. "We'll discuss this again later. I have to get to my homeroom. See you guys at lunch hopefully." She waved goodbye as she headed down the hallway to her homeroom.

Dani and I went to our respective homerooms which just happened to be right next door with each other. We bid each other goodbye only to see each other in 15 minutes when homeroom was over. We compared schedules. We had lunch and two other classes together, English and gym. We were lucky to have gotten any classes together which is what happened last year.

Before we split from each other, Dani got a text from CeCe. It was a picture of her schedule. We compared the picture with our own schedules. We all had lunch together which was a bonus. We also were all in gym together. I had Math with CeCe and Dani had History with her. We were all in separate science classes, partially because I was a bit advanced in science partially thanks to my mother. There is also the fact that science is my favorite subject. They also had different electives than me. While I had Ancient Greece (History and Language), they had Spanish class.

With the promise to see her at lunch at the same table we sat at last year, along with seeing her in English after first period, I said goodbye to Dani. Then I headed to my first class, European History, which I was dreading. History was never something I was all that great at. I only did pretty well in Ancient Greece history because it applies to my everyday life. Well I walked into history only to be stopped in my tracks. There, talking with my history teacher, was the bane of my existence, Travis Stoll. I could not believe that he was here. What was he doing here? He was supposed to be back at camp. His brother and him were year-round campers ever since their mother died and they came to camp. There was no reason for him to be here unless it was some trick to torture me even more.

I had been standing in the doorway too long and had created a bit of back up. When I noticed, I moved out of the way and went to take a seat. I chose a seat in the back of the room in hopes that he wouldn't see me. I prayed to the gods he wouldn't see them, but apparently, they weren't on my side. After finishing talking with the teacher, he turned around and immediately saw where I was sitting. I could see the smirk on his face and the mischief in his eyes, I knew he was up to no good. I was proven right when he sat right next to me.

"Hey Katie-Kat. I didn't know you went here," Travis whispered.

"Drop the act Travis. You knew I went here. Now what in Hades are you doing here? And don't call me that!" I was so frustrated with him. He knew I went here. I would wear some of my school gear at camp. He had to have noticed, especially since I yelled at him when one of his pranks ruined one of my favorite school shirts.

"Oh, Katie-Kat, didn't you hear. Some of us older kids were offered the chance to go to school. I want to go to college next year Katie-Kat. Hopefully in New Rome. Well I wanted to get an experience of school in the mortal world before I go to college. I not as dumb as I look Katie-Kat. It takes a lot of thought to pull off those pranks. It is going to be hard to be away from Connor, but it had to happen at some point."

I stared in awe at Travis. He seemed so serious which was odd for him. I don't think I have ever seen him like this before, and it was a nice change. I was glad that he was going to take this experience seriously.

"Speechless, Katie-Kat? I have that effect on girls." He smirked.

"Just when I thought you had changed just a bit." I rolled my eyes and focused my attention to the front of the room where the teacher.

A/N Well I finally decided to publish this after a long internal debate. I hope it isn't as bad as I think it is. I haven't had the time to go back through it yet, but maybe It will turn out better than I think it will. I hope you enjoyed this intro. The next chapter will be when the actual note passing will begin.
