This is my second God of War crossover. I got into Attack On Titan, so I might as well create a crossover between them because why not? Yeah, A Ghost's Redemption hasn't had any updates yet, but I ran out of ideas...for now, enjoy!
I own neither of the franchise's..
Wandering aimlessly in the unknown land he set his foot on, Kratos was determined to leave behind his past. He walked, and walked, and walked, struggling to face against his nightmares. Zeus was dead, along with the other gods..
He felt empty. He felt...nothing. All these years, he thought revenge will satisfy his bloodlust, but none of it was true. He was cursed to walk the earth forever..
He looked at his blades, his curse, that will never leave him. Even the gods planned to torment him even more, even when they're dead. Olympus is no more, but their shadow continue to torment him.
But then, suddenly, The Ghost of Sparta noticed a movement behind his back. Kratos dodged quickly, preparing the fiery blades in his hands.
It's been years since he last saw a creature.
"What treachery is this?!" He asked loudly. It was a humanoid giant, a smile crept on it's face. A creature...I thought everything is destroyed...perhaps the power of Hope kept them alive? Kratos thought.
Kratos then opened his mouth, "Creature...I have no wish to fight, so turn back, before I change my mind." Kratos threatened, but the creature seems to be unfazed by this.
The creature lunged itself at Kratos, who scowled in response, "So be it..." Kratos lunged himself into the air and slashed his blades into the creatures chest. As the creature bled, Kratos landed on the ground, still on guard.
The creature turned its head, a creepy smile is still on it's face. This would've scared an ordinary person, but Kratos wasn't the type to be easily scared. He has faced things bigger than this.
But one thing he noticed...the creature's chest was completely healed, it's blood disappearing into smoke.
He can heal, I see... Kratos thought, But you had to have a weakness.
The creature rushed itself towards the Spartan, bloodlust seen on its face. Kratos prepared himself, as he launched himself into the air, spinning his blades rapidly, as the creature was staggered back, the fire in the blades seems to be consuming it.
Kratos then finished with a slam to the ground with his blades, causing the creature to scream in pain as the fire began to consume him, before it disperses into dust.
Kratos unsheathed his blades, A waste of time. He thought, before deciding to continue on his aimless trip. Maybe the gods prepared these creatures to torment me even more?
Kratos was snapped out of his thoughts when he saw a giant wall in front of him, with more of these creatures swarming around, heading towards the hole on the boulder.
Kratos noticed a giant, even bigger than these humanoid mistakes, standing over the wall. It was red, his body looks like it was covered in a muscle. A few seconds later, the giant disappeared, leaving no trace of it of ever appearing.
A city? Impossible...I thought everything was destroyed when I killed the gods...
A part of him told him to go and check the city, but he thought that this was none of his concern. He noticed that these giants were heading to attack whatever creature is stored inside of the massive wall.
A word then came to his mind...Redemption..He wanted to redeem himself of the sin he commited for the past few years. Maybe helping whatever's inside...will help?
Kratos knew facing all of these creatures would bring about his doom. It was so many, he couldn't even count how much they are in number.
Kratos didn't have his old equipments, his magic, the power of hope...Everything was destroyed when he killed Zeus. Kratos then said under his breath, "Why even bother? This nonsense is not of my concern."
But then, an astral form of Athena appeared behind his back. Kratos twitched in rage, before replying, "I thought I was a disappointment to you. Why did you return?"
Athena replied, "These people needs your help."
Kratos raised his eyebrow, "What do you care? Even if I helped, you would use them to achieve whatever you wanted to achieve.."
"Trust me when I say that I care a lot about this world." Athena replied, "I've brought you here for a purpose."
Athena were met by Kratos's raging eyes, "You brought me here?!" He said as he unsheathed his blades.
Athena lifted her left hand in front of her to halt him, "Do not show aggression, Spartan...you know, maybe helping them will bring about your atonement for your sins."
Kratos scolded, "Do not even act like you care. You lied to me for ten years, wasted my time doing the gods dirty work, and now I am supposed to trust you? You used me, twice."
Athena closed her eyes, before saying, "The people inside the walls live in fear, Kratos...they fear these creatures they call...'Titans'."
"Titans...?" Kratos asked in confusion, "Which titan? Gaia? Cronos? I killed them all if I remember correctly."
Athena replied, "These are not the titans you knew...they eat humans, they take pleasure in doing so."
Kratos then looked at the titans that entered the huge hole on the wall. He admitted...he felt the urge to help, but not out of a selfless intention. He just wanted to feel better about himself.
"I know you're overburdened with guilt, Kratos...but this, this could be your chance to throw all the burdens away." Athena said again.
Kratos raised his eyebrow, "What goal do you have? What sort of twisted message do you want to send to them?"
Athena looked down, before saying, "I have no goal or motivations...I just wanted to help you...my brother." She said, before disappearing out of sight.
Kratos was surprised by the answer. The last time he saw Athena, she was belittling him..But now, she's trying to help him? A little suspicious, he thought.
Then he looked to the walls again, before looking back to the trails of his foot, reminding him of the years he spent walking aimlessly in the desert.
Then a nightmare came briefly to him, "Mom, I'm scared...are they coming to get us?"
"Your father will protect us."
"BURN THIS VILLAGE! BURN IT TO THE GROUND!"
He snapped out of it as he raged, rushing towards the battlefield. The titans looked back to see the raging Spartan, rushing at them with all his might, the blades intact in his hand.
And then, he launched himself into the air. He had nothing to lose. He had nothing to live for...so why not? Why not murder these creatures and be done with it?
Maybe he could become a better person...maybe..maybe he's much more than a mindless raging killing machine.
As seconds passed, Kratos stood above the bloodshed he caused, the corpses of dozens titans laying waste before him.
The Ghost of Sparta entered the city through the hole, seeing the citizens cowering in fear, as multiple flying soldiers, as he said it in his mind, tried to evacuate them.
Kratos rushed to the deeper sites of the city, before slaughtering three titans with the spin of his blades, slamming them with the fiery power of the Blades of Chaos.
Kratos looked for even more titans. The Ghost of Sparta noticed that two titans are heading towards him. Kratos then launched himself, before impaling the creature with his blade, causing it to burn.
Kratos then went through the heart of the creature, slashing it's insides brutally. Kratos gotten out of its insides with a lot of blood on his body, as he sliced the neck of the creature, before it fell forward to it's death.
But then, suddenly, the creature's hand caught Kratos. Kratos struggled to get himself free from the creature's grip, as it slowly opened it's disgusting mouth to devour him.
Kratos almost broke free, but the creature already swallowed him.
Inside of the creatures belly, Kratos landed on a red liquid filling up the room. Kratos growled, "It thought it could kill me..." He then continued, before looking at the bodies that floated throughout the area.
Kratos then decided to break free from this foul creature's disgusting insides.
Outside
The titan's belly were suddenly torn apart, revealing two fiery blades cutting through every last of its flesh.
Kratos jumped out of the belly, before spinning his blades, bringing the creature down and dispersing it into dust.
Kratos growled, before moving forward. As he rushed, he then saw a titan near a wreckage, along with a child to the right, who was carried along with a girl by a soldier, screaming, "STOP!!". He looked to the titan, who devoured a woman, before swallowing her to her doom.
Kratos felt a bit of a guilt, as he was a bit late to save the woman from her impending doom. He noticed that the child had a close relation to this woman.
Kratos sighed, "It is what it is." before he decided to move forward to the titan. But before he could kill it, he heard a screaming from his right, "DON'T GO NEAR IT!"
Kratos then looked to the right, and it was from the man who carried the two children.
"IT'LL KILL YOU!" The man yelled again.
Kratos simply ignored it, before launching himself towards the titan, before spinning is blade, aimed towards its neck. The titan fell aside to its death. Kratos noticed that these pitiful creatures's weakness is somehow linked to their necks. They are weaker than I thought.
Kratos then looked to the right, seeing the two children the man held. He felt guilt shivering across his body. He knew there's a chance this child will go down to the path of vengeance. Never...never again. Kratos thought, before approaching them.
Meanwhile, the guy that yelled at him stared in awe, before saying, "What the hell are you?"
TO BE CONTINUED. I added more because I thought it was too short but...stay tuned for the next chapter!
