She finally woke up feeling like herself again, if her old self was a sack of beaten potatoes that grew tired when taking the stairs. She felt clumsy, sad, and weak. All of her friends had come to greet her and Inuyasha was in her bed when they came. They all gave him a hard time, but she only smiled. She was truly happy to see them all recovered. She slept most of the time. This morning, she was feeling stronger. Grabbing a strand of white hair, she asked.

"How come Koga hasn't come to see me?"

"What do you want with that fucker" replied Inuyasha quickly. Clearly, she was better because he had come back to normal, in his normal body and normal personality.

Kagome waited patiently for his temperament to calm down.

"I'm not allowing him near you. If you knew all the things he is doing and the pussy he is getting, you wouldn't be so quick to go back to him," he said, snarling

"I just asked why he has not come. Now I know, you are yourself as always"

Inuyasha was visibly angrier, and she was debating whether to ask him to leave or leave herself when he spoke

"If you want to talk to him, he can come"

"Really?" she asked with enthusiasm in her voice

"Yeah, he is just like everyone else, right?" he said and actually smiled. Like everyone else meant that he was going to be in bed with her when he came.

"Yeah, he is just like everyone else, a dear friend of mine," she said with caution

"Yep, I'll ask for him later," he said, letting his body fall back on the pillows with a grin.

Kagome remained skeptical, but changed tactics. "Are you fighting for me again?"

"Yes." was his response, but his body seemed less relaxed.

"Does that mean that you broke things off with Kikyo?" she asked

"What?... Oh yeah, Kikyo. Actually, she broke things off with me," he said without sadness

"Oh, I'm sorry," said Kagome a bit awkwardly

"I'm not. She was such a bitch. And anyway, this was years ago" he paused and then added, "Koga lied to you. He accepts this now and wants your forgiveness," he replied, watching her closely.

"So you are not with her anymore?" she asked in a whisper

"I haven't talked to her in years. She came by a week or two ago and I didn't even let her in. She is history," he said and watched as Kagome smiled

"Good," she said, and extending her arms, she touched his lips and kissed him. It was the same beautiful bliss he felt when they kissed the day she rescued him. That's when he realized that her questions about Kikyo mirrored his own about Koga. She was jealous, which meant that she wanted him. He was so blind, acting just as before, getting all jealous over something she didn't even say. This was his moment to turn their fates around.

With her in his arm, he pleaded, "I've been a dick. I know that now. But I lost you, and you were are worse because of it. I know it because I am worse because of it. I'm going to ask for too much because that's how much I want from you. I want too fucking much. Would you give me a chance?"

Kagome was furious. Almost everything Koga had said were lies, and that kept her and Inuyasha apart. The real problem was that Inuyasha trusted Koga's word above her own, but at this moment, he was trusting her. Right now, he was trusting no one but her. So when he asked her back, she was more than ready to accept.

"I want to be with you," she said.

He gasped and became speechless. She kissed him and they fell in love with each other once more. Later Inuyasha would remember back this conversation and with great satisfaction noticed that she didn't ask or care at all about Koga fucking everyone in sight.

Miroku and Sango were fighting again, the fact that Fumiko, Sango's boyfriend, was currently in the room, along with Sota, Shippo, and Kohaku did nothing to stop them.

"...because it's classified, he'll kill me if I told you and then kill you and for what? to satisfy your curiosity"

"Miroku if you went looking for company you can tell me, I have someone now," she said and looking in the room found Fumiko standing up near a door and went to his side, kissing him on the cheek.

Miroku was livid. He felt the presence of the yokai and didn't forget about him like Sango, so when she walked to him, he left.

Sango followed him outside

"Really, if it bothers you, I can…"

"…can you be with me instead of him? Because that's all I want," he blurted

Sango didn't answer. He took that as a sign and left.

They were all in Inuyasha's place. He had some work to do and left her with the rest. The boys were in the game room. Miroku was alone in the entrance, standing guard. Kagome and Sango were in Inuyasha's room

"I cannot believe how much are you willing to do to rehabilitate him," said Kagome in between giggles

"He is a lady's man Kagome, he needs to change or find himself another idiot"

"Don't call yourself that, you just love him"

"I… yeah I think I do"

"Then stop playing games and say it," Kagome pleaded

"He is learning, I'll do that… soon" replied Sango

Kagome sighed. She missed Inuyasha already, but was happy to spend time with her new friend. She wanted to be there for her friend, but the empty feeling kept creeping back. She was currently devoid of her powers.

There was a knock on the door.

"Koga is here. Inuyasha's orders are to let him in only at your request," said Miroku

"Oh, ok let him in," Kagome said and smiled. "thanks Miroku"

"No problem, come with me Sango," he said and took her by the arm

Koga came in and sat down at the end of her bed. They were silent for a long time.

As soon as he dragged Sango out, she tried to break free of him, but he only hold on tighter. They were in the entrance where he was supposed to be when he finally let go of her arm but pinned her to the wall.

His actions aroused her,

"Do you like to be the whore Sango?" he said and her excitement died.

He was too close to her. His face covered her vision, and she looked at his lips.

"Don't do that," he said

She didn't listen and licked her own lips. He growled in response. Maybe spending time with yokais was leaving a mark.

"I've been told that the lizard is finally mated to a yokai," he said with an emphasis on the word yokai and she shrugged

"So what kind of game are you playing with a mated yokai Sango", reverting to his usual tactics, he was speaking more calmly because he was angrier and angrier. He hoped to console her, but she seemed to not give a crap.

"I already knew," she replied with calm.

He was utterly confused, so he released her. She opened her mouth and closed it again. What could she possibly say? Miroku perked up and within moments the door opened and Inuyasha entered.

He noted how they smelled awful, confusion, sadness, guilt, and arousal. But behind all that, before all that happened, it smelled like the wolf.

"...I think I made myself clear," said Kagome as he opened the door.

"We are talking, go away" grunted Koga

"As we are in HIS bedroom, you cannot tell him to go anywhere," replied Kagome before he could say anything and he close the door behind him. He sat down in the bed and Koga stood up

"You have been poisoned by him," said Koga while pointing at Inuyasha

"I want us to be friends ok, and you are asking more than that even though Inuyasha said you wanted friendship" Inuyasha bared his teeth and stood up too.

"I am sorry Koga, but I will not change my mind, so if you insist on this matter I'll have to talk to Sesshomaru," she firmly said

"Running off to your brother-in-law?" Koga said, mocking her

"Running off to the law of the land," she said smiling "I know my rights because Inuyasha is not a fuck up that wants to keep me at all costs, he cares about my happiness, and seeing that I live here now and am dating him, you have no right to propose anything to me"

Koga set his jaw "fine, friends then"

Kagome was radiant. "Yes!" she said and clapped. She stood up, losing her balance a little, and hugged him.

Inuyasha growled, but she paid no mind "Don't worry, I'm better than fine" she said to Koga getting ahead of his questions. She knew she looked tired and weak. She felt like crap, but this needed to be done.

Inuyasha was glad to see him go, but the worries he smelled on her put him on edge.

"I have told you NOTHING, so you lied to him. And worst of all, you know that touching other males is prohibited," said Inuyasha between his teeth. "You were doing so well before that"

"I told him So you are going to tell me everything, or are you going to make me a liar?" she asked

"No, you are going to learn most of it anyway, your future is decided by your position. my position."

"You don't get it Inuyasha, I want to know things to change them"

Inuyasha paled. "you don't really know Sesshomaru, he'll…"

"what?" she interrupted. "He'll kill his own mate?"

Inuyasha was confused, but she went on, "Sango told me he will have a human mate, all am asking is to meet her," she said and a mischievous smile graced her lips.

If she was about to lose her miko powers, then she must gain some political power to balance things out.
