"It's only for a couple of weeks, I promise you I'll be back before you even miss me." Oliver told his younger brother, Peter, as he and their father are about to leave on the gambit for a business trip.

"Too late. I already miss you." Peter says as he gives his brother one last hug and Oliver happily returned it.

"You're gonna be fine. Try to make some friends and tell me about them when I get back, deal?" Oliver told him and got in the car before driving away from their home.

Peter stood there until he heard his mother Moria calling him and he rushes back inside the mansion.

North China Sea

Robert gets told that the storm they've gone into is a Category 2 and they need to return.

"We in trouble?" Oliver asks his father.

"One of us is." Robert tells him as Sara Lance came in and left. "You know, son...that is not going to finish well for either of them or for you." He informs his son.

Later, the ship begins to sink and only Robert, Oliver and a crew member survived.

-

The three of them were adrift for who knows how long and didn't see any signs of civilization for miles.

"There's not enough for all of us." Robert tells Oliver. "Save your strength. You can survive this. Make it home, make it better. Right my wrongs. But you got to live through this first. You hear me, son?"

"Just rest, dad." Oliver asks his father as they drift.

"Yeah." Robert agrees and lets his son go before he pulls out a gun and shoots the crew member.

"Dad?!" Oliver asks, no idea what's happening.

"Survive." Robert tells his son, sorry he'll never be there for his younger son and daughter before he raises the gun to his own head.

"No!" Oliver shouts as he pulls the trigger and kills himself.

He has no idea how long he was adrift when he starts to see a island in the distance and starts to force the raft in its direction.

-

5 years later

Oliver runs through the woods in his green hood as he spots a fishing boat off the coast and sees its time to return home.

He races over to his satch of arrows and shoots one at a bonfire he set up, getting their attention.

When they made it to the island, they found Oliver Queen.

But not the same Oliver Queen that was lost. He was someone else.

Something else.

-

Peter was opening his locker, ready to head home when his friend Ned ran up to him.

"Dude, did you hear the news?!" Ned asks Peter.

"What news?" Peter asks as he gets what he needs from the locker and closes it.

Ned showed Peter his phone and he looks shocked at the news.

Lost billionaire found

After reading that, getting his hopes up higher than he wishes, he quickly took the phone and hit play, "Oliver Queen is alive. The Starling City resident was found by fishermen in the North China Sea five days ago. Five years-"

Peter didn't even listen to the rest as he hands Ned back the phone and races home.

"I've never seen him run from school that fast in his life." MJ comments watching as Peter races home.

-

Peter races in and finds Walter, his stepfather, and Thea were there as Moria went to see Oliver at the hospital.

"Is it true?" Peter asked them. "Did they really find him?"

"It's true." Walter confirmed as Peter smiles as tears of joy and Thea hugged her brother, just as happy as he is.

Later, Oliver and Moria drove up to the home and Oliver takes his suitcase of his suit from the island.

"Your room is exactly as you left it." Moria says as she and Oliver enter the home. "I never had the heart to change a thing."

"Oliver!" Peter cheers as he runs up and hugs his brother. "I cant believe it! I'm so happy to see you!"

Oliver hugs his brother back and looks how much he's grouch over the five years he's been away. "I've missed you too, Petey."

"We are all happy to see you." Walter says as Oliver looks confused for a minute before letting Peter go. "It's Walter. Walter Steele."

"You remember Walter. Your father's friend from the company." Moria reminds Oliver as he walks over to the maids.

"It's good to see you, Raisa."

"Welcome home, mr. Oliver." Raisa says and turns to Moria. "Mr. Merlyn phoned. He wants to join you for dinner."

Oliver looks at the top of the stairs and spots Thea.

"Hey, sis." Oliver greets as now Thea runs down and hugs her brother.

"I missed you so much." Thea tells him.

"You two were with me the whole time." Oliver informs Thea and Peter, them being the two he thought about for the last five years.

-

Oliver was resettling back into his old life, looking at some photos near the door when Tommy Merlyn came over to see his friend.

"Look at that, Peter was right. Airplanes are the safest ways to travel...statistically speaking. Apparently." Tommy mocks Oliver, happy to see him alive.

Oliver smiles and turns to face his friend. "Tommy Merlyn."

Later, they're all eating dinner together while Tommy tried to recap the last five years for Oliver.

"Super bowl winners, Giants, Steelers Saints, Packers, Giants again." Tommy tells Oliver. "A black president, that's new. And Lost, they were all dead, I think."

"What was it like there?" Thea finally asked a question that was kinda silently asked.

Oliver took a minute to think of an answer and is already back in the habit of keeping his language...child friendly. Even though he knows his brother is fourteen already. "Cold."

"Well, Oliver, I was thinking, with you back, you and Peter could spend the day together tomorrow. You two should catch up." Moira Asked of her son. "He's been...broken ever since the incident." She explains to him.

"That sound great to me, how about you, Petey?" Oliver asks and Peter blushes while rubbing his head.

"Wow. That was one thing I forgot about you. That really bad nickname you gave me." Peter comments.

"Come on, I thought it was cute." Oliver replies while laughing at his reaction. "Besides, you didn't seem so bothered by it before."

"I was eight." Peter reminds him. "If I was hyped on sugar, you could have called me uncle for all I cared." Oliver chuckles before turning to his mother.

"Nevertheless, I like the idea. I was also hoping maybe afterwards, I could to swing by the office." Oliver tells her.

"Well, there's plenty of time for all that. Queen Consilidated isn't going anywhere." Walter promises. "And your mother is right, you and your brother should spent some time together."

Raisa trips and almost drops some food when Oliver saves her.

"I'm so sorry, mr. Oliver." Raisa says and Oliver replies something in Russian which confused everyone.

"Dude, you speak Russian?" Tommy asks.

"I don't remember you being able to do that." Peter adds.

"I didn't realize you took Russian at college, Oliver." Walter says, just as surprised.

"I didn't realize you wanted to sleep with my mother, Walter." Oliver bluntly said as it seems he already figured it out.

"We didn't say anything." Thea says, pointing to her and Peter who nods his head, agreeing he didn't speak.

"You didn't have to." Oliver tells his siblings and faces the adults.

"Oliver, Walter and I are married and I don't want him to think either one of us did anything to disrespect your father." Moria promises Oliver.

"We both believed that Robert like you was, well, gone." Walter adds on to try to help.

"It's fine." Oliver tells them before standing up. "May I be excused?" He asks as he leaves.

"That got awkward quickly." Peter mutters to himself, but Thea heard and agreed.

That night, Oliver had a nightmare that he was back on the boat as it sunk and spent a minute looking at his list of people his father said has wronged the city and his suit. He then got ready to try and reconnect with his brother who the last he was connected with him, he promised to be home in a few weeks.

On his way out, Thea stopped them to say goodbye for the day as she was going out herself.

"Don't let him get you into too much trouble." Thea tells Peter. "He just got back, take things slow. And don't get him into any trouble. Unlike you, he's actually kinda nervous in public." She tells Oliver.

"Got it. No large crowds. Take it slow. Nothing illegal." Oliver recaps her list of demands and the brothers leave.

-

They talked about Peter most of the time as he knew Oliver didn't wanna really talk about his time on the island which he understood. Now the two were eating lunch at Big Belly Burger and one question dawned on Oliver.

"You haven't been in contact with Laurel since my disappearance, have you?" Oliver asked as Peter took a bite of his burger.

"Every once in a while after you died. She would come by, see how I was doing since she knew how close we were." Peter answers him. "She helped me mourn you, and she told me that her sister was with you?" He asks, not understanding why Oliver would've been sneaking around with his girlfriend's sister, since it seems he and Laurel were getting serious.

"I made a mistake...one I will regret for the rest of my life." Oliver tells Peter. "Do yourself a privilege, never end up like me."

"That's a given." Peter says as he takes a sip of his drink. "I have yet to be kicked out of school." He mocks his brother.

"Oh, we going there now?" Oliver asks with a smile.

"Well, I'm not only still in my first school, but I'm also passing with flying colors." Peter says sarcastically to his brother.

"At least one male in the family got dad's brains." Oliver says with a smirk smile.

Peter could easily tell his brother wanted to talk to Laurel, but didn't want to ditch him.

"She works at a legal aid office around the corner from here." Peter informs him. "Thought you would want to know."

"Why would I want to know that?" Oliver asks with a chuckle.

"You wanna talk to her about what happened." Peter could easily tell.

"When did you get so good at reading other people?" Oliver questioned.

Peter shrugs his shoulders, unsure himself. "I have a friend who does it to other people a lot."

"You have friends now? God, I missed so much." Oliver muttered to himself.

"Go talk to her." Peter gestures to the door.

"You're not gonna let this go, are you?" Oliver could tell.

"Are you?" Peter asks back. "Go talk, I'll be here when you come back." He promises him and Oliver decides he does need to talk to Laurel and gets up and leaves.

-

"You went to law school." Oliver and Laurel are walking around the block, talking like Peter asked him to. "You said you would."

"Yeah, everyone's proud." Laurel says.

"Adam Hunt's a heavy hitter. You sure you want to get into the ring with him?" Oliver asks her.

"Five years and you wanna talk about Adam Hunt?" Laurel asks him back.

"Not really." Oliver admits.

"Why are you here, Ollie?" Laurel asks him.

"To apologize. It was my fault. I wanted to ask you not to blame her." Oliver explains to her.

"For what? Falling under your spell? How could I possibly blame her for the same things I did?" Laurel asks him. "You cheated on me...with my sister. You can't expect me to just forgive you that easily. The only reason why I kept in contact with your family is because of Peter. He was...devastated when he learned you were dead. Completely broken for weeks." She informed him. "We buried an empty coffin...because her body was at the bottom of the ocean where you left her."

"You're right. I don't expect you to forgive me today or tomorrow. But I am truly sorry." Oliver tells her.

"As much as I want to, I can't. You don't know what I went through when I found out that you and my sister were together. Or when dad and I found out she was dead." Laurel said and started marching back to work. "Tell Peter I said hello." She asked of him as she looked over her shoulder as Oliver just stood there.

-

After that, Oliver made his way back to the restaurant and looks to notice that Peter's missing, but his food is still there.

Oliver made his way to the nearest waitress to find out what's going on.

"Excuse me, the kid that was sitting at that table, where'd he go?" He asks the waitress while pointing to Peter's seat.

"I think I saw him heading towards the back for the bathroom a while ago." She says pointing to the back and Oliver raced where the bathroom is as he noticed the back door swinging open.

He makes it out back and looks to find a phone he guesses belongs to Peter when he looks at the lock screen and it's a photo of him and Thea. Looking closer, he noticed skid marks, most likely caused by tires leaving in a hurry.

Oliver could easily piece together what happened.

Peter's been abducted.
