A couple of days passed in Beacon Academy, and Villager was finally getting used to stuff. From sitting on his butt in classrooms all day to taking part in one of the best food fights ever...Needless to say, Villager's time at Beacon so far wasn't half bad.

However, he couldn't help but worry about his friends worrying about him. He's been gone for almost a whole month. They'd have to be worried sick about him by now.

Villager let out a small sigh as he was sitting next to Yang while Team RWBY was playing some sort of board/card/dice game. Since Team RWBY already had 4 people, Villager was simply spectating.

After looking at her cards for a good 5 minutes, Ruby finally spoke. "Yang Xiao Long, prepare your kingdom for battle!"

"Bring it on!" The blonde replied.

"I deploy...the Atlesian Air fleet!" Ruby exclaimed. "Looks like I get to fly right over your Ursai and attack your walls directly." Ruby then imitated an airplane dive bombing

Yang gasped. "You fiend!" Villager put his hands over his mouth in surprise and looked at both of them.

Ruby continued. "And since Atlas is part of Mantle, my repair time only lasts one turn!"

Villager looked at Yang to see her smiling. "Pretty sneaky sis, but YOU ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD."

"WHAT?!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Giant Nevermore!" Yang said. "If I roll a 7 or higher, fale feathers will slice your fleet in two!"

"But, if you roll a six or lower, the Nevermore will turn on your own forces!" Ruby shot back.

"Well that's just a chance I'm willing to take." Yang said back.

While Yugi and Kaiba- I mean Ruby and Yang were d-d-d-dueling, Villager looked to see that Team JNPR was also in the room at the Table Next to them. Ren was reading a large book, Nora was straight up sleeping, Jaune was reading a Comicbook, only to have it taken away by Pyrrha, who gave Jaune a studybook and began to read the comic book herself.

Villager was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard...Weiss' evil laugh?

"Muahahahaha! YES, fear the almighty power of my forces! Cower as they pillage your homes and weep as they take your children from your very arms-"

"Trap card." Yang said.

"Huh?" Weiss said.

Yang shuffled around the pieces until it was in her favor. "Your armies have been destroyed."

Weiss sat down back in her chair and cried a waterfall with Ruby. "I hate this game of emotions we play!"

Ruby then comically jumped in Weiss' arms. "Stay strong Weiss, we'll make it through this together!"

"Shut up! Don't touch me!" Weiss said even though she returned the hug.

"Alright Blake, you're up." Yang said.

"Huh?" Blake said. "Oh...um...Sorry, what am I doing?"

"You're playing as Vale, trying to conquer the Kingdoms of Remnant." Yang replied.

"Right…" Blake said.

"Hey, can I play?" Jaune asked, walking up to them.

"Sorry Jaune, we've already got 4 people." Ruby replied.

"Then what about Villager?" Jaune asked.

"Villager is only spectating our match." Weiss said. "Besides, this game requires a certain amount of tactical cunning that I seriously doubt you possess."

"Uh, you attacked your own Naval fleet two turns ago." Yang said.

Weiss growled at her. "Bring it on, Ice Queen." Jaune said. "I'll have you know that I've been told I'm a natural born leader."

"By who? Your mother?" Weiss retorted.

"And Pyrrha!" Jaune said.

"Hello again!" Pyrrha waved to them. Villager waved back with a smile.

"C'mon, let me play your hand for a turn!" Jaune pleaded.

"I'm not trusting you with the good citizens of Vacuo!" Weiss held back her cards.

"Why not? You've trusted me with way more important stuff before!" Jaune replied. "I mean, you told us all that Blake was secretly a F-"

"-FUN loving person who we all respect and admire!" Pyrrha said, covering Jaune's mouth.

Oh yeah Jaune, REAL trustworthy. So trustworthy that he earned a glare from Blake.

"Right, that." Jaune said, rubbing his neck. "Ladies, enjoy your battle." He said with a bow.

"Sup losers?" A new voice said. They all turned to see Sun walking up to them with the blue-haired guy who got Grape soda all over him during the food fight.

"Hey Sun." Ruby greeted. Villager did his greetings Reaction

"Ruby, Yang, Blake, Villager,...Ice Queen." Sun said.

"Why does everyone keep calling me that?" Weiss said.

"I never got a chance to introduce you to my old friend." Sun said.

"Uh, aren't Libraries for reading?" The new guy asked.

"Thank you!" Ren's voice said.

"PaNcAkEs!" Nora yelled.

"Shut up, don't be a nerd." Sun said.

"Hey, intellectual, okay?" The new guy replied. "Thank you. I'm Neptune."

"So Neptune, where are you from?" Weiss asked.

"Haven." Neptune replied. He then began to walk over to Weiss. "And, I don't believe I've caught your name, Snow Angel."

"Umm...I'm Weiss." Weiss replied.

"Are you kidding me!?" Jaune whispered to himself.

"Pleasure to meet you." Neptune said.

"Oh! Neptune, this is the guy I was talking to you about." Sun said pointing to Villager.

"You mean the one who caught the Flesh Ripper?" Neptune questioned.

"Yeah." Sun said. "Neptune, this is Villager. Villager, Neptune."

"'Sup...uh, Villager." Neptune awkwardly greeted. Villager did his Greetings Reaction. "Dude, catching a Flesh Ripper takes guts AND some hardcore bravery. I respect that." Villager responded by offering a fist bump, to which Neptune happily obliged."

"Weird name I know." Sun whispered to his friend. He then turned to Blake. "I Never took you as the board-game-playing type."

"Right, well, I think I'm done playing actually." Blake said as she got up from her chair and began to walk away. "I'll see you guys later."

"Women." Nora said. Villager sweatdropped.

Later that day, Villager invited Sun and Neptune to his Dorm Room to check out the Flesh Ripper. Sun crouched down to Villager's level while Neptune, for some reason, was standing on the complete opposite side of the room.

"Dude. Awesome." Sun exclaimed as he tapped the tank with his finger. "I'm surprised it hasn't, like, hopped out of it's tank and tried to kill you yet. Must be some Miracle, huh?" Villager nodded in agreement. "Yo Neptune! Come check it out!"

"U-Um, actually, I can just...um, watch from over here." Neptune said.

"Dude, seriously?" Sun said. "It's just a fish! Besides, the Tank is closed, it's not gonna get out or anything."

Villager did his Curiosity Reaction. What's up with him?

Sun sighed. "Neptune's afraid of the water, and therefore is afraid of any fish that is larger than him, has sharp teeth, or all of the above."

Well isn't that some beautiful irony?

"Hey! I'm not scared of the water." Neptune said defensively. "I'm not afraid of that stupid fish either!"

"If you're not afraid of it, then you should have no problem coming closer to it, right?" Sun said.

Neptune let out a frustrated sigh. "Fine." Neptune then took one small step closer towards the tank.

Villager deadpanned. Seriously? "Closer." Sun said.

Neptune then took another small step. "Closer."

And another. "Dude, at least get like, 3 feet in front of it."

Neptune growled, annoyed. He then got 3 feet in front of the tank, before immediately going back to the other side of the room.

"You're totally scared of it."

"Am not!"

"C'mon!"

"No!"

While Sun and Neptune kept arguing with each other like 10-year-olds, Villager noticed something in the fish tank. The water had a light pinkish hue to it. Almost as if it was...blood.

Villager whistled to get their attention. They looked to see that Villager was pointing at the tank.

"Woah, what's up with the water?" Sun asked.

"Is that...b-blood?" Neptune added.

Villager had no clue why the water was pink. But, he had an idea of who might.

20 minutes later…

"Hmmmm." Professor Port said, as he stroked his mustache, inspecting the fish closely. "Ah yes. I see now!"

"What is it?" Sun asked.

"You see, the Flesh Ripper is a Grimm with a recycling feature in its body." The professor explained. "The Flesh Ripper, hence the name, eats the raw flesh of its prey as well as its blood. The fish recycles the blood through its gills, and then eats the blood when there isn't any prey around. That way it won't starve itself to death."

"Oooohh, I get it!" Sun asked.

Villager nodded as his eyes sparkled at the cool fun fact.

"Flesh Rippers usually come from the death of Shark Grimm, or more commonly referred to as Megalodons." Professor Port explained. "And this one looks like it came out of a Shark Grimm more recently. You can tell by the slight red tint on its tail."

So THAT'S where they came from. Villager knew they didn't just appear from the4 death of ANOTHER Grimm!

"Wait, wouldn't that mean that…" Sun began as he and Neptune slowly looked at Villager. "YOU WRESTLED A MEGALODON?! Dude, that's hardcore."

"Indeed, that is very impressive!" Professor Port complemented. "Not many can wrestle a Megalodon AND live to tell the tale, you know! Almost as great as that one time I-"

"Ah, you see, that's great and all professor, but maybe we should save the stories for...class?" Neptune said.

"Hmm, it is getting rather late." Professor Port said. "Very well, another time then!"

"I think we're gonna head out too." Sun said. "Thanks for showing us this, Villager!"

"Yeah, and nice meeting you, man!" Neptune added as he and Sun left the room.

About 30 minutes later, Villager was playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on his Nintendo Switch when he heard a knock on the door. He paused his game and answered to see Blake. "Hey, can we talk?"

Villager nodded as he let her in. She sat down on the floor and Villager sat down next to her. "So, my team and I have been talking...about...what happened that night with Roman Torchwick. He and the White Fang are still out there planning on what they're going to do next. And, I've noticed that people are just sitting around doing nothing. Yes, Ozpin told us that the huntsman and huntresses will take care of it, but they don't know the White Fang like I do."

Villager thought that he knew where Blake was going with this. Villager thought that the problem WAS being taken care of, but from the sound of it, he was wrong. Blake wanted to stop Roman Torchwick and the White Fang for good. The bad guys weren't just gonna sit on their butt s and wait for them to graduate from Beacon. They're gonna do something big and no one is stopping them.

"You see where I'm going with this, don't you?" Blake asked. She got a nod in response. "The reason I came over here is because well, I...we need your help."

Villager did his Curiosity Reaction. Why was that? And why Villager of all people?

"I've seen what you can do, Villager." Blake said. "I've seen you take out Grimm way more quicker than anyone I've seen at Beacon. I'm sure if everyone saw your strength, they would all agree that you would be at least on par with a professional huntsman. Not to mention your Semblance is very powerful and useful in many situations-"

Villager put a hand on her shoulder and gave a reassuring nod. Villager wasn't gonna sit on his butt and play Mario Kart while the villains were out there, planning their next move. If nobody was going to do anything about it, then Villager and Team RWBY will.

"You'll help us? Really?" Blake asked. Villager nodded with a determined smile. "Thank you so much!" Blake said before she gave Villager a hug, surprising him. "Ah! Sorry! I just-um...I just...kinda." Blake backed away. Villager responded by returning the hug. Blake was silent for a few moments before sighing and hugging back again. "You're a real friend, you know that?" Villager did his Joy Reaction.

Villager said his goodnight to Blake as she walked back to her dorm. But as Villager was watching her, he got a chill down his spine as 3 people, or rather students who looked like they were from another school walked past him; a boy with silver hair, a girl with shamrock green hair, and a girl with black hair covering one of her orange eyes. They simply waved at him before walking past him. Villager shook it off and waved back. What the heck was that chill just now?

Villager shrugged as he got ready for bed. He had no time to worry about things that are probably just made up in his head. Besides, he needed to get enough rest to be ready to help Team RWBY get the jump on Roman Torchwick and the White Fang.

The next day, Villager as well as his friends were in Professor Ports class, with him actually telling about 'the time he wrestled 3 Megalodons'. Much to Villagers Boredom. It wasn't that he didn't believe him, it's just that all he does most of the time is tell stories about himself and it makes the subject of Grimm a little less interesting in Villagers Opinion. Now, if someone like Blathers were to teach this class…actually nothing much would change, but at least Blathers isn't one to boast and tell stories about himself. He would actually provide interesting facts and share his actual thoughts with the class, rather than ONLY sharing his experiences.

Villager heard a little commotion behind him, specifically from Jaune. Who was trying to ask Weiss out on a date from the sound of it.

"So Weiss, I was…uh…thinking, after this, maybe we could go grab a bite to eat?" Jaune whispered to the Schnee but got no reply. "And uh…I-I got 2 tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie if you wanna make the trip to Vale. I hear it's awesome!" Still no reply. "And then…maybe after that we could…study…together…? I mean, you're smart and I'm…uh…you know."

"And then I-" Professor Port was cut off from the Bell, signifying the end of class. "Oh, well I suppose I timed that one wrong. The stunning conclusion of this story will have to wait. Until next time…"

Villager got up from his seat and stretched before heading for the exit.

"Weiss? Did you hear me?" Jaune asked.

"No. No. No. Yes." Weiss listed off as she too began to head for the door. Jaune dropped his head on the desk in disappointment.

Villager patted Jaune on the shoulder out of sympathy. One day my guy.

Villager walked back to his dorm to prepare for his secret Mission with Team RWBY and change into his 'incognito' outfit, which still included his normal Red #1 Shirt, but this time he had red and black sneakers, black adidas sweatpants, a purple, zip-up hoodie over his shirt, and sunglasses with a cool tint to them. He checked himself in the Mirror one last time before pocketing all his weapons and items and heading over to knock on Team RWBY's door. Blake opened it. She as well as the rest of her team were also in different outfits.

"Oh, you came!" Blake said while stepping aside to let him in.

Well yeah. Villager DEFINITELY wasn't going to say no to THIS sort of thing.

"Hey Villager!" Ruby greeted. "I like your outfit."

Villager did his Bashful Reaction at her compliment.

"I thought that class would never end." Blake said.

"Alright guys! Today's the day!" Ruby exclaimed. "The investigation BEGINS!" Ruby jumped off her bed, almost landing on Weiss.

"I'm glad to see that we're taking this so seriously." Weiss said sarcastically.

"Hey, we've got a plan." Yang said. "That's moderately serious."

Serious or not, Villager wanted to help Blake, as well as the rest of her team. The White Fang, no, Faunus themselves reminded Villager of the Residents of his Town, if he saw them in their place Villager would be ashamed of himself. So that's why he wanted to help them, just like how he would with the other Residents of New Smashville.

"Right." Ruby said. "Everyone remember their roles?"

"You, Villager, and I will head to the CCT to check the Schnee records for any other dust robberies or inconsistencies." Weiss explained. "Seeing as I am in the family it shouldn't be too difficult."

"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members." Blake said. "If I can get in, I can hopefully find out what they're planning."

"I have an old friend that lives on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in vale." Yang began. "Getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard."

"Great, we'll group up tonight near Yang to go over what we found." Ruby announced. "Let's do this!"

"Yeah!" A familiar voice said. Everyone turned to see Sun hanging upside down from the window.

"Sun?!" Blake exclaimed.

Villager did a small Shocked Reaction. How long was he there for!?

"How did you get up there?" Yang asked.

"It's easy, I do it all the time." Sun replied.

"You do what!?" Weiss exclaimed.

"I climb trees all the time!" Sun explained.

He IS a monkey faunus.

"So, are we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?" Sun asked as he hopped into the room.

"WE are going to do an investigation…as a team." Blake replied. "And I asked Villager to help us." Villager nodded in confirmation.

"Sorry Sun, we don't want to get any other friends involved if we don't have to." Ruby said.

"Pfft, that's dumb. You should always get friends involved!" Sun remarked. "That's why I brought Neptune!"

Wait wut.

Team RWBY and Villager looked out the window to see Neptune chillin on the ledge of the building.

"Sup?" Neptune remarked.

"How did you even get up here?" Ruby asked.

"I have my ways." Neptune replied. "But seriously can I come in? We're like, really high up."

They let Neptune in before rediscussing their plan with Sun and Neptune.

"Alright, Villager and I will go with Weiss. Sun you can go with Blake." Ruby said. "And Neptune, you can go with Yang since she doesn't have a partner." She said as she pushed Neptune towards Yang, who Villager could've sworn he saw wink at Weiss. "Everyone Good?"

"Actually Ruby, why don't you and Villager go with Yang?" Weiss asked. "After all she is your sister and Villager is close friends with you."

"But Weiss, who would go with you then?" Ruby asked.

"Well, I guess Neptune could come with me." Weiss said.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

"Pfft, nah." Ruby said as she dragged Weiss behind her to the CCT.

"But…! But…!" Weiss tried to argue but it was no use.

Villager had an awkward yet still cheerful smile on his face before he ran to catch up with them.

End Music

A Little later, Villager arrived at the CCT along with Ruby and Weiss. The place was GIGANTIC. Almost as Big as Beacon Tower. Villager's eyes sparkled in amazement. None of the buildings in New Smashville had anything on this place.

"WOW!" Ruby exclaimed. "I forget how big the transmit tower looks up close!"

"You should see the one in Atlas." Weiss said.

"That was the first one right?" Ruby asked.

"Correct." Weiss began to tell a little of Remnant's History. "Atlas developed the Cross Continental Transmit system to allow the 4 kingdom's to communicate with one another. It was their gift to the world after the Great War."

Great War? The 4 Kingdoms fought each other once? Obviously, it was settled peacefully most likely a long time ago. But why? Maybe there were just some things that they simply didn't agree upon and it resulted in conflict.

"Oooh, look at me. My name is Weiss. I know facts. I'm Rich!" Ruby mocked Weiss.

Villager thought that was a little uncalled for. He didn't know a thing about Remnant when he first arrived here, yet he's interested in knowing a little about it's history.

Ruby giggled. "Don't be a pest!" Weiss exclaimed. "Besides, the only reason we're here is because YOU like the tower so much. We could've just as easily made a call from the Library."

"I know, but it's so COOL" Ruby said.

Villager had to agree with her there. In fact, it was so cool that Villager decided to take a picture with his scroll. Unfortunately, Villager got a little too excited as it accidentally flew out of his hands. The scroll slid and bumped into a stranger's foot as they picked it up.

Wait a minute…that's no stranger!

"You dropped this." Penny said as she handed out Villager's Scroll.

Where in New Leaf has SHE been?!

"Penny?!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Uhm…"

"Where have you been?!" Ruby asked. "We haven't seen you since the night at the docks!"

"S-Sorry, I think… you are confused." Penny replied. What?! What was she talking about? She remembers them, right? Penny hiccuped and Villager's Scroll flew out of her hands and back into Villager's. Nevermind, she DEFINITELY remembers. "I-I've got to go."

"What was that about?" Weiss asked. Villager shrugged. Penny was acting weird. Well, weirder than usual that is.

"I don't know." Ruby shook her head. "But I'm going to find out. You go make your call, I'll meet up with you guys later!"

"Wait!" Weiss exclaimed but was ignored. "Ugh, she can be such a nuisance at times. Let's go, Villager."

"Villager?" Weiss looked around to look for her small friend, only to see that he had run off after Ruby and Penny. "Are you kidding me?!"

"Penny, where have you been?" Villager heard Ruby ask as he caught up with them. "It's been weeks!"

"...There seems to be a…Misunderstanding." Penny said as she continued to walk.

"What!?" Ruby exclaimed. "Penny…is everything okay?"

Villager did his Curiosity Reaction, wondering that as well.

Penny ignored Ruby. "Penny, please stop!" Ruby still got ignored. Villager grabbed her hand to stop her.

"Look, I don't know what's wrong. But you have to listen to me." Ruby pleaded. She then began to explain what she, her Team and Villager were up to, about putting a stop to Torchwick and the White Fang and whatever they were planning. "I need you to tell us what happened to you that night, please. As a friend."

Penny looked down at Villager who also had a pleading look. He didn't know why Penny was acting like they hadn't met before. But Villager knew he could trust her because Ruby trusts her. After staring at Villager for a few seconds, she sighed before looking around. She then whispered to the both of them. "It isn't safe to talk here."

Penny then led Ruby and Villager to a different part of Town as they began to walk and talk. "I wish I could help you, Ruby and Villager, but I don't know anything about those men."

"Well, what happened to you that night?" Ruby questioned. "We were all together and then you just disappeared. Were you kidnapped?"

"Oh no, nothing like that!" Penny replied.

"Then where did you go?" Ruby asked.

"I've never been to another kingdom before." Penny said. "My father asked me not to venture out too far, but… you have to understand, my father loves me very much. He just worries a lot."

"Believe me, I know the feeling." Ruby replied.

That's great and all but why didn't she tell them she wasn't hurt or anything? Ruby asked the same thing.

"I…was asked not to talk to you, or Villager, or Weiss, or Blake, or Yang, anybody really." Penny said.

Yeesh. Her father must've been THAT worried then.

"Your dad was that upset?" Ruby asked.

"No, it wasn't my father." Penny corrected.

Oh. Then who is she talking about?

The trio were interrupted from their conversation when they looked to see a man in a white suit, who Villager remembered was the headmaster of the School in Atlas, General Ironwood. Was introducing some sort of new Military technology. He called it 'The Atlesian Knight'. It was a few robotic soldiers that looked newer, stronger, and a little charming as well. He also showed 'The Atlesian Paladin', which was a giant battle-mech like contraption, with guns, rocket launchers, and other weapons designed for combat.

Ruby's jaw dropped at how awesome it looked. Villager couldn't blame her as he whistled in amazement.

"Ruby? Villager?" Penny asked, sounding a little nervous. "Maybe we should go somewhere else."

Play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate OST - Aria of the Soul

Villager then noticed two Guards pointing at them and looking at them strangely. Penny then began to book it across the street and down an alleyway. Villager did his Surprise Reaction.

"Penny? Where are you going?" Ruby called out to her. She looked back to see the Guards were running towards them. "Let's go!" Villager nodded as they both ran after Penny.

The both of them ran out of the alleyway after Penny and before the two guards. They both ran across another street. The guards ran after them, but one almost got hit by a car.

Villager and Ruby ran into another alleyway. Villager looked back to see the guards were still chasing them.

Villager did his inspiration Reaction as he had an idea. He saw a stack of large crates piled up on the side of the alleyway. He pulled out his slingshot and shot the bottom, making the crates tumble over and prevent the guards from chasing him, Ruby, and Penny.

Ruby used her semblance to grab Penny and carry her across the street. "This way!" Ruby said as she tried to carry Penny using her semblance, but she struggled to. Almost as if Penny had eaten too many Oranges. Ruby accidentally tripped and tumbled into the street.

Uh Oh.

Just as Villager feared, a 'Dust till' Dawn' Delivery Truck, was coming down the road and it hit Ruby head on, had Penny not stepped in on stopped the large vehicle coming WITH HER BARE HANDS. Villager did his Shocked Reaction. Sure, Villager knew plenty of people at Smash could do that kind of stuff and then some, such as Bowser or Ganondorf, but Villager didn't know that many people who could do that on Remnant…

…well, until now.

"...Penny?" Ruby asked. She was just as shocked as Villager.

"Are you okay?" Penny asked the terrified driver, who shakily nodded.

End Music

Penny looked around as random bystanders were whispering to each other about the whole shebang that just occurred. Penny then began to book it the way they just came from.

"Penny, come back!" Ruby called out, only for her to get ignored once again. Ruby and Villager ran after her.

They caught up with her in the Alleyway they had come from. She had stopped running and was looking at her hands for some reason.

"Penny! Please, what is going on?!" Ruby exclaimed, out of breath. "Why are you running? HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!"

Villager fumbled around with a mix of different reactions from Amazement to Shocked to Curiosity. He was shaken up about the whole thing too.

"I-I can't, everything is fine." Penny said before a hiccup escaped her mouth. "I-I don't want to talk about it!" Another Hiccup escaped her mouth.

"Penny, if you just tell us what's wrong, we can help you!" Ruby pleaded.

"No, you wouldn't understand." Penny replied. Villager had a worried expression on his face.

"We can try if you let us!" Ruby said. "You can trust us!" Villager nodded in agreement, trying to calm her down.

Penny then got close to Ruby. "You're my friend, right?" She asked Ruby. "You promise your my friend?"

"I promise." Ruby assured.

She then turned to Villager. "Villager, I know we have not spoken much with one another, but can you please not tell anyone about this? As, well, a friend?"

Villager heavily nodded with a look of assurance on his face before acting like there was a zipper on his mouth and he zipped it close.

Penny then took a deep breath before showing something unexpected. "Ruby, Villager…" she then showed her hands. "I'm not a real girl"

Villager was stunned. A normal person with tattered hands would have been colored red, maybe even show bones underneath if it was that bad…

…for Penny, underneath her skin, was metal.
