Author Note: So…don't hate me. I don't know why I'm writing this story when I have so many other unfinished projects but…I couldn't get this out of my head. Like at all. But it'll be short! I promise! And it won't follow the typical AU. You'll know what I mean when you finish this chapter.

Enjoy!

He paused as he heard chatter in the hallway. He shrugged his shoulders as he tried to squeeze past the people crowding the window to no avail. Finally, he signed and glared at everyone, effectively making them scatter, making a path for him to walk.

"Ichigooo~"

He sighed again.

"What, Keigo?"

"Did you hear? Did you?!"

He held the sigh back as he continued walking.

"There's a new girl coming in today! She's supposed to be a hottie! The complete package! Beautiful, brains, kind, and rich! And an Alpha to boot!"

"So what? Not like an Alpha would go for a Beta," he stated as he entered his classroom.

"Don't be like that! Just because you're an Alpha, too, doesn't mean you can treat me like this!"

"Is Asano-kun whining again?"

"Why so formal, Mizuiro?!"

He shook his head as he headed to his seat, Keigo following him every step of the way.

"You know, it's not fair! You actually have a chance with the new girl!"

"Alpha, beta…what doesn't even matter? You like someone because you like someone. Not because of what they are."

"Well, that's true, but you can't deny that Alphas either pair with other Alphas or Omegas," Mizuiro chimed in. "It's only natural."

He rolled his eyes.

"Doesn't matter to me, anyhow. I'm not interested in the new shiny thing that everyone is fawning over," he commented as he stared outside.

"You better not change your mind, Ichigo," a new voice stated.

He looked lazily at Tatsuki.

"I'm not, but why do you care?"

"Orihime is an old friend of mine. She's actually moving here because her last school didn't work, and I plan to make sure that she'll be okay here."

He turned back toward the window.

"Nice of you, but again, I don't care."

"What about me, Tatsuki? Are you worried about me, too?" Keigo asked.

A pause.

"Sure, I'm worried, Keigo," Tatsuki said as she left to take her seat.

"Did she just insult me?"

He snorted before the teacher walked into the room, quietening everyone down.

"Alright, you hoodlums. Listen up! We have a new student joining us today," the teacher began. He groaned silently to himself as the excitedness talk grew. Of all the classes, why his?

"Please give a warm welcome to Inoue Orihime."

He continued to stare out the window, not evening sparing a glance to the new girl. Why should he? Another Alpha who thought they own the world because they were born with superior genes? Another stuck up asshole? He was not interested.

But when her voice hit his ears, his eyes strayed forward without his permission.

Rumors were no lie, he concluded. Beautiful was not a strong enough word, but he couldn't think of another. Mixed with her melodious voice, she was dangerous.

But when she made eye contact with him, something changed with him.

He felt himself heat up, his face reddening. His breath became shallow, and there was a tightness not only in his chest but also in his pants.

He broke eye contact, looking down at his desk.

What the hell?!

That…that never happened. It wasn't supposed to happen. He took his suppressants like was supposed to. He came into contact with Alphas all the time, so much so that everyone just assumed he was an Alpha as well but this…His body has never reacted this way. This was dangerous.

"Do…do you smell that?"

Someone next to him whispered.

Fuck.

He stood, grabbing his stuff and walked out of the class. He headed straight to the nurse's office, slamming the door shut behind him.

His dad glanced up in surprise.

"Well, I'll be damned. I guess my Omega baby boy has finally grown up."

Fuck.
