Chapter 1: Peekaboo
Eighteen-month-old, Liza Marie, was in Quinn Puckerman's living room, sitting on the floor playing peekaboo as she looked at a picture of Quinn's husband Noah, who died a year ago.
Before Blaine says to Quinn, "She has been doing that a lot, when we go to Puck's grave, or if she sees a picture of him. I have even noticed her acting like Puck a lot here lately. I thought she was acting like the Hulk at first, until Kurt reminded me. That we never let her watch any movies with the Hulk in them. I think Puck is watching over her or something."
Quinn smiles as she says, "Sarah noticed she would say, Nono, a lot too. Ha, that was Sarah's nickname for Puck when she was a toddler. Norah was afraid of her saying Fuck or Suck. God, I'm glad Rachel isn't here right now. I think Liza Marie has a crush on Puck's ghost."
Then Liza Marie says firmly, "Queenie!" Before Blaine notices Liza Marie is looking at Quinn with a raised eyebrow and clenched fists. Quinn hides behind Blaine as she says, "It was just a joke, Liza Marie!" Before they heard a whispered voice say, "Get her!" And Liza Marie started chasing Quinn around the room.
After this, Burt and Carole are coming in when Liza Marie stops and says, "Nono, Scary man here again. Behind Nana Carole." Burt was in front of Carole and turned around as Carole fell to the floor.
Then Burt is the only one hearing Noah's voice say, "Let her go, you son of a bitch! You took me, you took Elizabeth! You made Finn take himself!" Then he hears Noah say louder, "I said let her go!"
Soon, Carole's eyes opened, and she looked at Liza Marie and said, "Nono saved me." Then she looks at the others and says to Quinn, "Puck watches you and Liza Marie. Elizabeth asked him to watch over her."
When it was time for Liza Marie's nap, Blaine was the one that laid her down, and he heard Noah's voice say, "The scary man is the reaper, and he is the reason your dad keeps having heart attacks. Your grandpa is trying to keep him safe, but let's just say I'm stronger here, too."
Blaine chuckles and says, "Puck, I've seen you pick up Liza Marie at least five times since you died. Or was that Kurt's mom? I figured out it was you, last week, when she started saying, Nono, at night a lot, and she stopped calling out for me or Kurt. We are going to see my dad next week to discuss his will. Puck, I don't want to lose him.
Blaine soon felt a hand on his shoulder, before he heard Noah say, "I'll watch over him. Okay, man? By the way, it's Quinn and Liza Marie that made me stronger."
Blaine just laughs and says, "I know, Puck, and I hope Kurt doesn't have to find an exorcist. When Liza Marie is a teenager and Burt has passed on. Ha, have you found the journal Kurt had when he went to Dalton?"
Blaine hears a laugh before Noah says, "No, Quinn did though, and I'm so glad Kurt found you, man." Then Blaine heard Carole yell Quinn's name before Liza Marie gets up and runs into the living room. Then the others hear Noah's voice coming out of Liza Marie's mouth as she says, "Let, her, go!" Before she roars so loud the whole house shakes. Quinn doesn't open her eyes, though, and Burt tells the others her pulse is weak. Before, Liza Marie says angrily, "Not her time!" and knocks over a coffee table.
Later, in the hospital, Liza Marie was growling as she sat on Blaine's lap as they were waiting to hear about Quinn. When a nurse comes in asking for Liza Marie, Blaine goes with her to see Quinn, and when Quinn sees him, she says, "Blaine, Puck was wrong. It's not me and Liza Marie that makes him stronger. It's just her. The last time he saw Beth was when she was her age, and Elizabeth knew that too. Ha, she also thought Puck would be with Kurt, and thought Puck was like Mr. H was as a kid."
Then Liza Marie says, "Queenie, Nono, not like G' Pa Burt! Take back now! Nono, my angel, not Dada's angel! Nono thought me, Aunt Beff, when died. Stayed because, scary man watched me. Scary man in house. Devil's soldier, tricked Nono. Reaper man, Scary Man, look different. Reaper bones, Scary man like Ring Girl."
Blaine turns to Quinn and says, "I never let her watch that movie!" Before Liza Marie says, "Saw poster, in Nono's room. Nana Norah's house."
Quinn laughs and says, "I know Sarah lives there now, and she told me. She never goes into his room unless she has to, and it's always to get her out of the room. When you have her babysit, Liza Marie."
Then Blaine takes a picture Liza Marie drew from his wallet and hands it to Quinn. Before saying, "She drew this after we went to Puck's grave last week." What Quinn saw was a green man fighting in a cemetery with a black man with long hair. She thought the man looked more like Argus Filch from the Harry Potter movies, only scarier.
After this, Blaine saw Quinn and Liza Marie's eyes go wide before Quinn's heart monitor went off. Blaine tried to ask Liza Marie about what she saw as they left the room, but she was too upset to answer him.
When Quinn was stable, they were allowed to go back in, and Quinn says to Liza Marie, "I saw the scary man too, Liza Marie. He is really scared of Nono and lived in your house before your Dads moved there. Your love for Nono makes him like Molly's boyfriend Sam, but stronger." Then Quinn says to Blaine, "I have been watching Ghost way too much and the last time you brought her to my house. She came to my room in the middle of the night when I was watching it. Ha, I think she was talking to Puck while watching it with me. Because I heard her whisper, 'No, Nono, you're cuter.'"
