Hello, im The not so wonderful author of this fanfic. This is my first 'official' work here on so bear with me. I used to write a lot, but then school and such so i guess i became lazy. Though Persona and many other video games helped me out with all of that so im energized and ready to write. Hopefully i wont mess this up.

(? POV)

"Mornings suck huh".

Says a man in his mid twenties, as he looks out from a decent sized apartment room that he owned, in a bustling part, near Yongen-Jaya. This man groggily got up with full intent on staying on the bed, resulting with a resounding crash to the floor. Which seems to have really woken him up.

"Ouch"!

Was all that was heard from the man, now angry and the morning and himself. He looks around the room, a decent sized room with a lot of personality. Shelves filled with random genre books from Lovecraftian novels to the cheesiest RomCom Dramas of the recent century, a couple real potted plants which he planned to water after he gets ready to go on with the morning, a decent tv which he could watch Streaming Sites and use apps on, and just a general calming atmosphere. Checking his watch he sighs as the clock reads a time close to 8 A.M .

"And just as I thought I was getting my coffee early".

He says as the man painstakingly wore decent clothes, jeans and simple long t-shirt with a jacket to boot. Not to mention plain slip on shoes, as he goes on to brave the streets of Tokyo and act like an adult. Even though he really knew that he was just like he was straight out of college, with friends and…

"C'mon, stop thinking about that, its going to be fine, just act normal".

He reassures himself, as the potted plants are now watered and have been properly cared for, he walks out the door of his room and takes the elevator down and he gets greeted by the receptionist staff. He now ventures off to the streets, at first he was nervous at the sight, repulsed even as he looked out at the crowd of people. But after thinking about fresh coffee from a person he hasn't seen in a good while drove him. And so he makes his way to a coffee shop that seems very familiar.

A bell rings out, two people, blondes look towards the door being altered by the sound. One was a girl, she wore a heavy red jacket with a graffiti imprint white top with a small-ish skirt with stockings, she seemed to also be wearing something of heel? Maybe sandals, no matter. She looked quite young and looked dazzling, like she could take the eyes of everyone in a room. The other blonde had worn a more bleak looking set of clothes, red shirt and a black leather jacket, jeans and some classic sneakers, nothing much else to say except he looked like he was not really a blonde, as small patches of black appeared around his head.

But there was one person that he was really here for. A person that he knew a long time ago.

"I guess even after a couple of years, I assumed you would give up on the perfect cup, but I am also thinking that you took my advice for that perfect cup".

"Now, now. You know that I was dealing with a couple of things back then, now I can finally say that I know how to make the coffee, and to hold the fort down over here".

I exchanged witty remarks, with the host, and the person that could make a cup of coffee for anyone. An old friend of mine, one that I made whilst I stumbled into Yongen-Jaya.

"Nice to see you, Sojiro".

"You don't look too bad yourself kid, especially since it's been awhile since your last visit".

Sojiro was as kind as always, i felt like I could just open up about everything that had happened, every single event and every single heartbreaking moment up until this point. But I knew it would only freak him out, freak out everyone in this whole damn room.

'Then, should we just leave. "It is ok if you could not walk today as long as you can walk tomorrow", Is that the saying'?

Says a lovely voice inside my head, a woman who was robed with a long cloak, a face barely seen with what seemed to the eyes of a devil, could send you comatose in a second.

She looks normal but that's what she looks like when she is calm. Once you make her angry she will pull out a scythe and then show a true form of a ghostly body and ripped and damaged clothes, chains drooping down. A true representation of a guide to the afterlife, a Banshee, an image of Death itself. A Persona.

He was thinking about telling Sojiro about this, he could help, or he could call him crazy, and he did not want to risk that. He had a whole life with this persona and a lot of adventures… he did not want to do that, he did not want to talk about his little escapades with his friends of the past. He was thinking in overdrive and thinking way too much.

'Its ok, She. I'm just struggling to talk to others since the whole Persona thing wont cut it in the real world".

'I sense a certain power from something around here'.

'But what could it be, it cant be a shadow as those things were gone since the thing with that Shido ass'.

I had a small chat with my persona as I contemplated what got me here. I was too deep in thought to realize that my coffee was already place in front of me. Sojiro taps my shoulder with a worried look on his face, I look up and give a reassuring smile, signaling his own and his attention has moved towards the two blondes.

I think back on the incident with Shido, the seemingly perfect politician was a tyrant and a dictator, exposed by a group of people known as the Phantom Thieves of Heart. A big pang in my heart as i remember a group i was once apart of, and our dreams to be heroes. Too much to handle, for now. But i always wondered about those Phantom Thieves, and how it was allegedly reported that the leader was a High School Student, especially part af a pretty controversial school like Shujin Academy.

I always wondered how people like that leader came to be, how people could just to something so outrageous it was nearly insane. But i guess i already knew the answer from looking back on the memories of old. Nevermind that, as i take a sip from the cup of heaven Sojiro had poured me, a light blend of coffee with condensed milk and topped with whipped cream. I would feel like i was drinking a cotton candy cloud if i weren't aware of the fact that there were things much sweeter than this.

Anyways i pay and tip Sojiro as i prepare my leave, as im about to pick up my stuff, i realize it would be a waste not to talk to the old geezer.

"So Sojiro, how is the little girl"?

I ask handing him the money.

"You remember Futaba?"

Spoke the man, shocked that i even remembered.

"Well yes, that was quite the experience that day. Remember Sojiro i was a regular here, i was there near the beginning of this place. I hold this place very dearly in my heart. It does have some of the best coffee in Tokyo".

"Well you do mean THE best coffee in Tokyo, mind you. And… thanks".

The small little talk was going smoothly and it was at this time i was approached by Sojiro about an alarming request.

"So 'Handyman of the Streets' you going to come by often"

"Y'know i will, i miss this place".

"Well then, i am going to make a request from you if you would accept".

"Shoot".

"Would you please keep someone in your place for summer break".

"Huh"?

What? Keep someone in my place, I could barely take care of myself! Oh boy, this was not so swell, but I guess it wouldn't REALLy hurt to take in someone right? Hmmm, this was quite confusing, but i really could not say no to Sojiro, i knew about his struggle and his journey to get here. I also knew about his Daughter, as she came into the shop while we were talking one day. She was shy, and out of mind, only paying attention to Sojiro. But he explained his story to me, a patron since the beginning. And ever since then my respect and my admiration for the old Geezer had just grown. So naturally i had only one option.

"I will take this request, for you Sojiro".

"Thanks, and by the way, you better be careful and take good care of him".

"No problem Sojiro".

The chat I had with Sojiro was alarming and now I had to take care of someone for the entire summer break. But it's ok, as i knew Sojiro for years. I did have to take about a year break because of an event. Ahhhgh, why am I thinking about it so much now. I suppressed those memories, why are they coming back now!

No, focus. I have to act natural, i'm not in a battle and i'm not using Banshee, i have to be in control. Let's just get information.

"Sojiro, who exactly am I taking in".

"It's a kid that I took in about a year ago. He lived up in the attic but I can't give him that back just yet because of the sudden spike of people coming here. You're lucky you came an hour earlier than the time that I opened. I keep it open for some certain people, and I guess you made the list, Kid".

Well I just secured the best coffee in the entire city, but Sojiro took a kid in. I couldn't believe it. And it had to have happened when I was gone. Perhaps I would need to talk to Igor about this… but for now.

"I guess i'd better be prepared and get ready".

"You sure do, kid"

I nod to Sojiro and officially stand up and start to walk. But first i feel a shockwave of sorts running through my body. As if i was frozen by a Jack Frost and got hit by a Megaton Raid.

I immediately struggle to stand and catch myself on a nearby booth.

The two blondes from earlier reach out to help, but they get stopped and stand still. They then start to… Smile. After that awkward occurrence they come to my aid.

"Hey, are you alright man".

"If he was alright then he wouldn't have fallen down, Ryuji".

The couple of blondes argue, personalities clash and then there is me in the middle. Honestly, it felt like home for me, remembering a group that once was. But now they look at me with interest, as if noticing something.

"Hey, bro, uhhh did you feel something"?

"Yeah did you feel anything strange, are you sick or something"?

I did feel something strange. But why were they asking me, I wondered? I pondered on it for a bit, but to no avail. But first i needed to know these people, after all why would you ask a stranger something, unless, they were waiting for the presence i felt. Which would mean these two blondes have a deeper story. I should keep tabs on them.

"I'm not sure honestly, I just feel kinda light headed right now. But I guess it's all alright right now. I'm not sure if this is natural or something, and it seems like you guys seem to know about whatever is going on or something like that. Can i ask for your names"?

I lied like I breathed, I acted clueless.

"Sure man, my name is Ryuji, and this is Ann".

"Hey! Ryuji, you're supposed to be a little cautious y'know".

The boy blonde named Ryuji seemed to be a little aloof at the moment, the lady named Ann seems to be the more reasonable one between the two. Hmm quite interesting.

"Well where are my manners? I was so shocked I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Fusei Mayat, I am a handyman that does whatever".

I introduce myself, quite honestly to say the least. I am leaving out some minor details like how i met this girl then i joined a group of people with powers, then we single handedly changed our school for the better.

"Hi im Ryuji Sakamoto, i'm trying to get onto the national track team, i'm also working as an instructor, but i got dragged into some sorta gig for this lady over here".

"Well I guess I have to introduce myself, I'm Ann Takamaki, I'm a model and a WIP actor. Nice to meet you".

Seems these people have known each other for a while. Well I guess these people hang around here often. If there is anything I learned with my persona it's that certain people have interesting stories.

"Well i am feeling better now, i need to go do something important, so perhaps i could see you guys again soon. I would like to get to know you guys, you peps are cool".

"Hell yeah man. I really like you to dude, we should hang out".

"Ryuji"!

Ryuji seems to be very active, he seems very open. Ann seems to be more aware and cautious, she seems to be kind on the inside though.

I said goodbye and even exchanged contacts with Ryuji as he seemed very excited, and I couldn't resist. And I took my leave to prepare my apartment for the new guest I was going to get. Smiling towards the sun as this was going to be an interesting time for me.

(3 person POV)

We are now in the cafe as the bickering pair talk with Sojiro.

"How do you know we can trust that guy, Ryuji?".

"It's fine, Ann, he seems cool and he just seemed dazed from the morning. I trust him".

Sojiro walks up with two cups of water as these two had already had their fill of coffee for the day.

"He is ok, you two, you can trust him".

"You know him Boss"!?

Both blondes appear shocked as Sojiro passes the water.

"He was my first customer when I first started, he showed up looking quite banged up. But he still ordered coffee and showed a warm smile. It was shocking for a bit, but I eventually warmed up to it. He is the one to originally show me the ropes on how to be a good host and how to talk to people. As i never really been a coffee shop owner before that time. He even knows about futaba, and tries to help her out a bit. You can trust him. Though he disappeared after a couple of years coming here. He just came back today. I wonder what kept him so long".

The blondes sit in the stools as if listening to a campfire story, eyes sparkling. And that story now left them with a couple of questions but for the most part they were now informed that they could trust Fusei.

"Don't you guys have to go to that shoot soon, hurry up you two".

"Oh god you're right, cmon Ryuji".

And with that the two blondes traverse the streets to the subway. And now Sojiro goes outside to flip the sign from closed to open, officially starting the day. But before even the first customer walks through the door, he gets a text. 'I'm coming to Sojiro, I should make it there by late afternoon', is what I read. He is finally back is what Sojiro is probably thinking. I mean he did visit like for two years, each summer spent with him and his friends.

'Akira, Welcome back kid, we've missed you.'

'I've missed you, Boss'.

A lovely text string was formed, even warming up the boss's heart. 'Well come one down to the shop, Kid. we have got a lot to talk about'

'Don't worry it's been like 2 years of me stopping by, this one being the final time that its going to be just a summer.'

'Well im looking forward to it Boss, make some coffee and curry, also could you call my friends please".

'No problem kid'.

And with that Akira goes offline. Sojiro starts plans to cook and prepares the messages for the former Phantom Thieves. Hoo Boy, today was going to be a long one indeed.

A/N: this is a fanfic mainly focusing on Akira and Fusei, mostly its going to be around Akira's seemingly non-existant PTSD he should have and his journey to becoming the snarky and charming trickster we all know and love. Fusei's journey is about his past and how it relates to the new problems that will eventually get introduced to the plotline.

P.S The story is rated M for many reasons, the most prominent one is safety just in case this goes wrong one me and i decide to put lemons or graphic scenes in this story, which is likely because its Persona. so you have been warned.
