Mogu'shan Palace
The corrupted prince of Lordaeron just created a portal, heading for parts unknown while his enemies were all helpless to stop him, some only temporarily helpless. As soon as the portal Arthas had created disappeared, the chains he summoned to bind Maiev and Kor'vas dissipated
Quickly, the former warden ran over to where the portal once stood. "He's gone." Maiev muttered with slight anger
In the meantime, Kor'vas went over to the injured dark ranger and Alliance members. She checked them but was unable to tell immediately if they would live or not. However, she knew that Anya was at risk of dying. "Maiev!" she called out, pointing to the dark ranger. Maiev understood and threw a death coil at the dark ranger. It did not fully heal her but it was enough for her to move without difficulty. Since Anya has slightly recovered, Kor'vas went over to the other injured person closest to her. "Sylvanas, are you alright?"
Groaning, Sylvanas' body was aching all over and she began to cough up some blood. Her vision was extremely blurry and she could barely move. "Wha-" she tried to speak but coughed up some more blood
"Let's get them to where they're staying." Kor'vas said while lifting the injured ranger. "Anya, you know where it is right?" she asked and the dark ranger nodded. "Lead us there." she said before looking at the warden. "Come on, Maiev. We'll have to bring them to the sky barge."
"What about the Mantid?" Maiev asked curiously
"Leave them to Vandel. He's in the gunships now." Kor'vas answered. 'Drak'thul, get over here.' she ordered. The warlock soon teleported nearby and helped transport the injured to the sky barge
As they were carrying the injured Alliance, Sally and Rivendare suddenly walked up to the room, both of them being clearly injured. "Mind if we come with?" Sally asked
"Get in." Kor'vas responded as the sky barge lowered to pick them all up. After everyone were placed in the sky barge, Kor'vas chose not to enter. "I'll go inform the Horde of what is happening. I'll meet you in their camp." she said and ordered the sky barge to leave. "Maiev, you and Drak'thul scout whatever you can find. Anya already described the place where Arthas was corrupted so go see what you can find."
Kor'vas then made her way outside. 'If Arthas posed this level of threat, why would the Horde just leave the Alliance to deal with this on their own?' she wondered to herself. 'The Mantid. I guess the insects managed to force them to split up.' she realized and took flight. She wasn't that familiar with the landscape of the continent as she has never been here before. However, Altruis had described the layout beforehand so the gunships would know where to fire. All Kor'vas had to do was find the wall and keep track of the surroundings. She eventually found the ones she was looking for. "Seems like they're engaged in battle against the Mantid." she muttered to herself before deciding to give them a hand and unleashed her demon form. Kor'vas then fired an eye beam at the largest concentration of mantid that were close to the Horde, instantly killing those who were directly hit while igniting the rest in fel fire
The Horde was surprised that a lot of their immediate enemies were ambushed. The gunships flying above was already enough of a surprise but it was firing deep into the mantid territory. While they were having a hard time against the sheer numbers of the mantid, Korvas' attack which killed a lot of them allowed them to finally defeat the ones in the immediate area
Kor'vas then landed near them when they were in the clear. "We need to talk, now."
"And just who do you think you are to give us orders, demon?" Dranosh asked furiously
"The one who will slice your head off if you don't listen." Kor'vas said while pointing her sword at him. "Listen, you stupid orc, most of the Alliance leaders here in Pandaria are near dead. Arthas is gone."
"What?!" nearly everyone present said in unison
"We've taken them to your camp and they will die if you don't heal them." Kor'vas said before firing another eye beam at the direction where the mantid came from. "Leave the insects to the gunships. For now, the deal is off."
"Let's go. We need to check on the Alliance as soon as we can." Chen said
Shando Pan Settlement
A few hours later, the Scourge have taken over the battle against the mantid which allowed the pandaren and Horde to rest. While neither were comfortable with it, the fact remained that the Scourge brought more firepower and troops. The Alliance leaders were also healed in the meantime. They weren't back to full health but it was enough for them to gather with the rest. The Scourge wanted answers and they would have it no matter what. From the expression on the demon hunter's face, she was more than willing to torture them for the information
"What happened to Arthas? How did the Old Gods even get their hands on him?" Dranosh asked. The full details of what happened to the prince was never told due to how urgent the situation was
Sylvanas then began to explain the full details on what had happened in the Temple of the Jade Serpent, including her agreement with Amira, the Sha nearly killing them all and the death knight saving them. She mentioned how Jaina was nearly killed by the Sha. The ranger general then continued with what had happened. Kayn and Anya then joined in the explanation, explaining in detail why Arthas was still waiting around if he could have just created a portal
"Wait, what do you mean by 'take over'?" Baine asked curiously upon hearing what Y'Shaarj was doing to Arthas
"Well, think of it like this. If you are cut by a blade, your body would heal itself in time and regrow most of the tissues that were sliced." Kayn explained and waited for any further questions before proceeding. He received none. "What the Old God was doing is essentially the same except the one responsible for regrowing the injured part wouldn't be the victim's, in this case, Arthas', body. Instead it would be parts of the Heart itself. In a sense, it was like a parasite taking over Arthas' body and any wound inflicted on the host ends up helping the parasite."
"You have got to be kidding." Jaina said in disbelief. She had been told about this earlier but the explanation was not as detailed as the one now
"If only we were, Jaina. But it's the truth." Anya said sadly before looking at the Horde members. "That's why Arthas was waiting for us. Y'Shaarj wanted us to make his vessel more vulnerable to his control."
"If you abominations would have just left this to us-" Turalyon said angrily
"Then it would have changed nothing." Kor'vas cut him off sharply. "You would still have ended up fighting Arthas and the exact same thing would have happened, just with different people involved."
"And how would you know that?" Turalyon asked sharply
"Because even Deathwing was replaceable. The Emerald Nightmare corrupted Ysera just a few days after the battle in Northrend." Kor'vas said and everyone, even the pandaren, were surprised. "In fact, I don't think it necessarily had to be Arthas to be Y'Shaarj's vessel."
"What do you mean by that?" Jaina asked curiously
"When you consider everything, I think Arthas was just chosen by Y'Shaarj because he was the easiest to manipulate. We have proof of this when he was going to chase down a Dreadlord to Northrend just after being told to do so by his enemy. That may have been a year ago and I think that even he would have learned his lesson by now. However, the fact remains that when the life of someone close to you is in grave danger, you tend to lose all your rational thinking." Kor'vas pointed out before looking at Jaina. "Uther had said that you and Arthas were very close so I would say that the Sha nearly killing you was to lure Arthas into a trap although you probably have figured out that much on your own." she said before crossing her arms. "Even so, considering how the Old Gods easily replaced Deathwing with another dragon, Y'Shaarj could have just as easily chosen someone else to be his vessel. It doesn't even have to be a Human. It could have chosen an Orc or even a Pandaren. But as I said earlier, Arthas was the easiest to lure into a trap so he became their victim."
"That is true." a new voice said. Everyone turned and saw Maiev, Drak'thul, and another demon hunter they did not recognize, approach them
"What did you find?" Kor'vas asked
"Broken chains." Maiev answered and confused everyone
Drak'thul then created an image of what he found using his fel magics which took the shape of two broken chains. "I think that this 'Heart' you spoke of was suspended by these chains. In nature, these chains are to keep the Heart from releasing any of its influence anywhere. What I found really interesting is that the chains were damaged."
"Uh, I thought you just said dat da chains were broken?" Rokhan pointed out
"I'm not talking about that. Given everything we know, I think it should be obvious who broke the chains." Drak'thul responded. "I'm talking about even before Arthas was there, the chains were already damaged."
"Damaged? But by whom?" Chen asked
"I am not certain yet but I have a theory." Drak'thul said and everyone just waited to hear it. "These chains that suspended the Heart prevent it from doing anything. Even though the Heart itself is pure corruption, the room it was sealed in was not. I assume that the chains had something to do with it. That would explain why, even though Y'Shaarj was killed long before everything on Azeroth came to be, nothing too significant happened. However, when the chains were damaged, I think that it not only allowed the Heart to spread even the smallest bit of influence but also reawaken the Shas, or at least, those that were still dormant. Given the timing, I believe that when Deathwing shattered Yogg Saron's prison, he also used his powers over the earth to damage the chains and reveal Pandaria to the rest of the world."
"Then that means that Yogg Saron being released was just a distracton to ensure that this would go the way they want to." Alleria said in realization. "Which reminds me..." she trailed off and looked at the demon hunter. "Do the powers of the Sha affect you too?"
"Yes, it does." Kayn answered. "The only ones who are unaffected by it are the undead. However, we Demon Hunters aren't that vulnerable to it. The Shas prey upon a specific negative emotion but for the most part, we've learned to ignore our emotions in the middle of a battle which is why the effects on us are negligible."
"I see." Sylvanas said and turned to her undead friend. "But why would the powers of the Sha not affect you?"
"Well, our souls aren't really connected to our body. You see, Sylvanas." Anya began to explain. "Aside from the obvious, the most significant difference between the undead and the living is that an undead's soul isn't connected to the body at all. It is simply possessing it. For the most part, those of us who are part of the Scourge had our souls put back in our original body. However, the truth is that it doesn't have to our original body. Anyone skilled in necromancy can put a soul in another body but that's beside the point." she continued on. "This leads us to why it doesn't affect us is that our bodies cannot feel emotions. Yes, we can get angry or sad but that's only our soul and our bodies just drown out our emotions which essentially leads to no emotion being exuded at all and in turn, nothing for the Shas to absorb."
"You see, when the Sha grows stronger by absorbing emotions, those very same emotions have to be released into the ambient magics. In a way, emotions have some sort of magic and that is what the Shas use to power themselves up." Drak'thul clarified the explanation
"So, how did you know that your bodies won't release emotions?" Baine asked curiously
"In the time between Illidan absorbing the Lich King's power and the war in Outland, we have studied the undead very closely, down to the last detail on what are the differences are between an undead and the living." Kor'vas answered
A small silence soon took over after that as the non Scourge were slightly in awe at what they heard. Maybe being undead wasn't that bad, some of them thought
"We should have just dealt with this place ourselves instead of leaving it to the mortals." Maiev said in frustration at the situation they were in
"You know, you really have your soul back, Maiev. Just like always, you are so quick to blame someone else without even considering the ramifications." Kor'vas said in a reprimanding tone and genuinely surprised the mortals at her words
"And just what the hell is that supposed to mean?" Maiev asked angrily
"Think about it carefully. Do you think that the mortals would have just allowed us to have our way in this place? Even if we didn't tell them about this place, I am sure that at least one of them would have the brain to use some sort of spell to check what else had happened. That might end up with us having to fight them over who gets to investigate this place, something that would only end up in the Old Gods' favor. We may have the advantage because we have prepared for war a lot longer than they have but waging war against them would not only work in the Old Gods' favor but would also take up time and resources. Yes, it's easy for us to replace our losses with theirs but the fact remains that a war against them would take time, something that isn't exactly on our side." Kor'vas answered her with a very sharp tone. "Also, consider what has happened. What do you think would happen if we were fighting a war against them when the Emerald Nightmare made its move? That would only cost more time and worse yet, one of them might be stupid enough to align themselves with the Old Gods. We also could not leave this place alone without knowing what it holds. If we did, then the Heart could have just as easily chosen one random Pandaren to be its vessel and the Sha would have corrupted everything in sight, which essentially is giving the Old Gods full control over this entire continent, which in turn would lead to more resources being used up just to drive them out and more time wasted." she finished before glaring at the warden. "You were already told that the mortals aren't that stupid. When you got your soul back, did you really lose all your thinking? When your soul was still trapped in your blade, you were far easier to reason with."
Maiev felt like a child being scolded by her parent after that. While she would never admit it, the demon hunter did bring up a very good point and one of her major flaws, her short sightedness. She may have an analytical mind like the rest of the Scourge but her own vision was extremely shortsighted, something she always had even in life
"Kor'vas has a point. Things may not have went as well as we'd hoped for everyone present but at least we prevented the worst." Sylvanas said with a sigh
Kor'vas just nodded at her gratefully before looking at the other demon hunter. "Vandel, what about the Mantid?"
"Nearly wiped out. The plague works even against them. Most of their territory are covered in it so a large amount of their numbers should be dead. The only ones that I am certain that remain are those that broke through the wall and began attacking the Pandaren citizens." Vandel responded
"That still leaves us with one unanswered question." Rexxar said and got everyone's attention. "Why would Y'Shaarj need a vessel to begin with? Or to be more accurate, what is the Old God planning to do?"
"To even the odds." Maiev answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Considering how quickly the Old Gods have responded after we destroy Deathwing and Northrend, it is safe to assume that there are other things in this world that is capable of destroying an Old God similar to the Eye of Sargeras. We may not be aware of what it is yet but I would say that we would find out about it sooner or later, which is why Y'Shaarj wanted a vessel as soon as possible. They need someone to even the odds in a direct confrontation against Illidan which means that none of their current minions, minus Arthas, would last in a fight with him. The Old Gods needs someone that could rival Illidan to protect the unknown things and keep it from our hands."
"That makes sense. However, given the fact that Arthas was trying to corrupt the others, that would suggest that even he isn't a guaranteed match for Illidan." Kor'vas commented. "Assuming that what you said is true, then that means that what happened with the Nightmare and Pandaria are just the prelude. They were just designed so that the Old Gods could gather the resources they need. The real battle is still to come."
"Exactly." Maiev confirmed. "There's also the fact that Illidan was trained by Azshara personally. We all thought she was just an attention whore so who knows what else she has taught him."
"Then that brings up the question, where would this battle take place?" Dranosh asked
The Scourge members knew exactly where it would be but were torn on whether they should tell them or not. In the end, Kor'vas decided to just tell them if for no other reason than for them to be ready for it
"Kalimdor or the sea." Kor'vas answered simply and did not bother with the details
"That's probably where Arthas disappeared to." Maiev commented
Vandel then poked Kor'vas' shoulder and asked to speak with her in private
"What is it, Vandel?" Kor'vas asked
"While I was destroying the Mantid, I saw a black dragon." Vandel said, surprising his ally and superior. "However, this black dragon was different. It sticked to the shadows but was responsible for making our job much easier. For one reason or another, he caused the earth to move and created sinkholes. What I find very odd is that the magics of the Old Gods wasn't on him. It was almost as if he wasn't corrupted. Before I could give chase or even get close, he once more hid himself underground." to say that Kor'vas was surprised would be an understatement. "Do we hunt this dragon down?"
After thinking about it, Kor'vas came to a decision. "No, we don't." she said. "If this dragon was affiliated with the Old Gods, why didn't it ambush us? It doesn't even have to be Kayn or Altruis. The dragon could have easily picked off the others."
"Then why wouldn't the dragon make contact with us?"
"Well, according to the stories, Deathwing nearly wiped out the Blue Dragonflight ten thousand years go. It would make sense that the black dragon, even though uncorrupted, is afraid of Malygos not to mention that there would be little it could offer us." Kor'vas pointed out and Vandel raised an eyebrow at her last statement. "If it had something useful to offer us, the dragon would have just told us already and risk getting killed. Malygos might not be willing to listen but Illidan would and would no doubt at least check whatever the black dragon would say before making a choice." she explained. "Regardless, it hardly matters. While that dragon is still questionable, we can't afford to waste time hunting it. I will have Agatha prepare a spell that would alert us to anything flying in the air between here, the Broken Isles and the Eastern Kingdoms."
"Are you sure we shouldn't look into this dragon?" Vandel asked
"Not really but at the same time, we need to be ready. Who knows what the Old Gods will come up next now that Y'Shaarj has a vessel." Kor'vas answered
Twisting Nether
Hours after he was killed by Arthas, Altruis soon woke up in a place that he wasn't familiar with. 'Where am I?' he asked himself. He observed the surroundings and found that it was very saturated with fel. Suddenly, Altruis remembered what Illidan had said when Kor'vas and Illysanna wanted to become demon hunters. If you want to become part demon like myself, then you need to be aware that your soul will have some semblance of immortality. A soul that has gotten the characteristics of a demon's soul cannot be killed that easily. Demons are born in a realm called the Twisting Nether and cannot be killed outside of it. When a demon dies outside of the Twisting Nether, then only their body is killed. The soul would return to the Nether and would reconstitute its body. How long that would take depends on how powerful the soul in question. As you may have realized, even Archimonde is still alive. If the body is not that damaged, then it is possible for the soul to make its way back to it. the demon hunter turned Lich King's voice rang in Altruis' head. 'Arthas killed me back in Pandaria and with my demonic soul, I'm in the Twisting Nether.' he thought as he got up. 'Now, I'll have to find a way to check on my body. If it's too damaged, then I'll have to figure out how to reconstitute it.'
Suddenly Altruis heard some noise from a different area. He was familiar with those sounds, it belonged to the burning legion. The sound was getting louder which can only mean that the demons were getting closer so the demon hunter stood up and hid among the terrain. 'Illidan had never mentioned how to reconstitute a body. But then again, he hasn't experienced it himself so it makes sense that he doesn't know how to do it. Which means I'll have to figure it out on my own.'
Argus
In the throne room of Antorus, Kil'jaeden's fortress, the Deceiver was having a conversation with one of his subordinates. The two were engaged in the details for a few minutes until the subordinate in question finished his report
"I see. Very well, good work. Continue what you are doing and inform me if anything comes up." Kil'jaeden ordered before dispelling the hologram
"Problems?" a voice said as fel flames appeared in the center of the room
Kil'jaeden recognized that voice anywhere. "Complications." he replied simply
"I assume these complications aren't going to delay us for very long." the flames said questioningly
"That depends on how things proceed. As of now, Illidan Stormrage's next move shall determine on when we can proceed." Kil'jaeden answered
"From your wordings, I assume that Illidan Stormrage is not aware of our current activities ever since the events of Outland?" the flames said and the Deceiver simply kept his silence in confirmation. "Then we stage an invasion that would dwarf even the one we did ten thousand years ago."
Kil'jaeden looked at the flames in surprise at that. What the flames had just said was the polar opposite to what he had intended to do. "A full scale invasion? Are you underestimating the mortals and the undead? We no longer have any control of the Scourge as only Illidan holds that power now."
"They will not be expecting us. With only the Tomb as our point of entry and it always under guard, the last thing they will expect is for us to be able to reopen it." the flames responded
"That will not work. The Draenei are already on Azeroth and the Scourge is more than ready for a war. Launching a full scale invasion would not give us the highest odds of success." Kil'jaeden argued
"And what is your own plans then?" the flames challenged back
"We capture Illidan. With him on our side, nothing will stand against us. Or at the very least, keep him out of the battle." Kil'jaeden said. "Without Illidan, things would be much easier for us. From our information, none of his minions are as dangerous or is as sophisticated as he is."
"How do you know for a fact that they will stop fighting us if we capture their master?" the flames asked
"They won't and that is what I'm counting on. Only Illidan is intimately familiar with us from his experience ten thousand years ago and from Gul'dan's memories. Without him, the resistance against us will not be as effective." Kil'jaeden replied. "By capturing Illidan, we can anticipate their movements and adjust our plans based on their movements."
"That is a waste of time. What makes you so sure that this will not end up like the Horde?" the flames pointed out
"Gul'dan grew disillusioned with us after you told me to abandon the Horde." Kil'jaeden argued back. "That failure was not on my end. It was in your own shortsightedness and haste."
"But the Scourge sabotaged our latest invasion." the flames said
"Which still played into our favor. The Scourge's betrayal was not unexpected, unlike the Horde's. We had to force Ner'zhul into serving us while Gul'dan was more than willing." Kil'jaeden said sternly. "Everything we have done has been by your design and all we have to show for it is failure."
"Perhaps you've lost sight of our destiny. Perhaps, I overestimated your resolved." the flames said daringly
Kil'jaeden stood up in anger upon hearing that. "I paid for that destiny with my WORLD!" he said vehemently while pointing to a window, which revealed the very broken, corrupted and damaged landscape of his world. "Mark my words, Sargeras, if even one thing goes astray with your haste to conquer Azeroth during our next invasion, it will be the end of your crusade and of the Burning Legion." he said with a venomous tone before making the flames disappear. "And maybe even yours." he said, still maintaining the venom in his voice. The Deceiver was well aware of the threat Illidan posed even before they used the Scourge to attack the Eastern Kingdoms. To the Legion, Illidan was a wild card, someone they could not reliably predict. Kil'jaeden's plans hinged on ensuring that the demon hunter cannot participate in the battle until it was too late to change anything and just like with the Horde, Sargeras' impatience was risking everything
'That idiot is severely underestimating Illidan's potential. Azeroth is supposed to be our final endgame and while only Illidan has any interest of fighting us head on, the mortals will do the same. They already know our advantage with the gunships and the Draenei is with them. The only advantage we have now is the element of surprise.' Kil'jaeden thought about the current situation. 'How is Sargeras not aware that the next time we invade, the fate of both the Legion and Azeroth would hang in the balance unlike the last time? Regardless of that.' he got up and went to a different area of the fortress. In one of the hallways, it led to a secret chamber that no one in the Legion but himself knows about. "Keep taking the unnecessary risks, Sargeras. We shall see where that gets you."
Unknown Location
After the events in the Mogu'shan Palace, Arthas created a portal into a location not revealed to the rest of the world. The location was deep underwater, on the seabed in fact. Around the corrupted prince were people who looked like giant snakes and what appeared to be an underwater city. They were the naga, Azshara's people
"Master Y'Shaarj. We have been expecting you." one of the naga said
Arthas didn't bother to respond to the greeting. "Any news on Azshara?"
"None. Ever since the events in Northrend, our queen has been missing ever since." the naga said
"Then she must be dead by now." Arthas replied, not at all caring for the fate of the queen. "Who has taken over your kind?"
"One of her handmaidens." the naga said before pointing to the largest structure in the city. "She is in that building and like us, has been waiting for your arrival."
The prince didn't bother to responded again and simply began walking. Even though this city was deep beneath the waters of Azeroth, Arthas was able to walk as if he was on land thanks to the power of Y'Shaarj. All of the naga that he passed by looked in awe at a real live Old God. All they have heard thus far were whispers of one but now, there was finally one of their dark masters before their very eyes. They were curious as to why one of the Old Gods has taken over the body of a human but it was not their place to ask
Arthas eventually reached the building and the naga guards opened the doors. Inside was what appeared to be a throne room however, with Azshara gone, there was no one on the throne. There was one female naga that approached the prince
"Greetings, Lord Y'Shaarj. I am Lady Vashj. I have taken temporary control over the Naga in Queen Azshara's absence." the female naga said
Again, the corrupted prince did not bother with introductions. "Where is the energy that has been gathered from the Well of Eternity?" he asked
"Show our master the way." Vashj ordered to one of the guards, who bowed. Arthas then left with the guards as Vashj observed them. 'That was quick. The Old Gods really don't bother with pleasantries.' she thought to herself before she retreated to her chambers, locking the doors upon arriving. Everything that Vashj had feared is now coming into reality. Being transformed by the Old Gods was only the beginning but now, it was inevitable that she would face the only person that has ever grown close to her. "Illidan." she muttered softly as she held the necklace she was wearing, the very same necklace that Illidan had given her so long ago. Tears then began to form as she closed her eyes. Vashj began thinking of what would happen when they finally cross paths. Would Illidan be disgusted with her? After all, she did ask him to fight whatever was the secret that Azshara had mentioned and now, like with Azshara, she was a servant of them, the Old Gods. Since then, Vashj had greatly detested her very existence itself. She would have preferred to die when the Well was destroyed rather than serve these creatures. She even tried to kill herself a few times but every single time, Azshara would catch her in the act and stopped her. 'Illidan, I'm very sorry about having asked this of you. I wish I could have been honest with you from the beginning that I... loved you...' she thought as the tears finally fell. Her biggest regret being that she waited until the war before admitting her feelings. 'For a long time. I hope you can forgive me that I am serving these creatures.' she thought before trying to make peace with the idea that she will be killed by none other than the only person she had grown attached to. However, even that would be preferable than serving the Old Gods
Well, here it is, the aftermath of the Pandaria arc and as promised, the explanation on why the Sha can't affect the undead. I also revealed some more stuff about this such as the Demon Hunters having the immortal demon soul, as Illidan put it, and the part about the Legion. Since it was mostly just an aftermath, it just contains piecing together what is happening based on recent events. That just leaves the part of the Burning Legion. Remember before how I said that Kil'jaeden is gonna have a huge impact, well, this is the beginning of it. I'm not going to reveal exactly what the impact is and there are already clues about this in previous chapters but I won't mention which
Speaking of Kil'jaeden, I decided to put the blame on Sargeras about the stuff about the Horde during the first and second wars. When I read Kil'jaeden's bio before, I remember reading about how Sargeras told him to leave the Horde so that they would be desperate or something along that line and by the time Kil'jaeden made contact with Gul'dan again, the warlock was already disillusioned. With that, I think it is safe to blame Sargeras for what had happened. I mean, if Kil'jaeden didn't leave the Horde, maybe Gul'dan wouldn't have grown disillusioned or something
I did mention a Black Dragon in this chapter but in all honesty, that is just for show. Don't pay it too much heed as that Dragon won't be doing anything significant. In fact, the only reason I even added it in the story will only have relevance in the final chapter of the story. And by final chapter, I mean final chapter, not the last few chapters
Finally, yes. After how many chapters, Vashj finally appeared in person and not simply as a dream. Although the part that focused on her probably sucked because I'm not too good at writing those kinds of things
Apologies this chapter is late. A typhoon hit the area where I live and electricity was out for a week. It came back just earlier but I'm still not certain if things are back to normal. If they are, then I should be able to upload a new chapter every mondays and fridays
