538 A.D., Britannia
Britannia was on fire- Fields scorched, and buildings ruined. The Unseelie have finally begun their major assault on the lands, leaving nothing but burnt rubble in their path. Led by the Sorceress Supreme Moraiza, the Britons were finally pushed into a corner… Until-
"MORAIZA!" A scream pierces throughout the chaos of the battle- Knights and Homunculi alike stopped to look at the source of the sound. Even Moraiza was captivated by the sound. She slowly looked up, before her eyes widened. Standing upon the hill were what appeared to be 6 humanoids, obscured by the fog of war and the sun behind them. Though their features were hidden they did not appear to be human.
"This planet, and it's people... All life on it is precious. Even if we are on your side… We will not let you trample on innocent lives! We will stop you, and bring you to your senses!" The figure declares, before the group held their hands out. Clenching their hands into fists, the rings on their ring fingers become prominent, glowing within the sunlight. Raising their fists into the air, the ring's light reached a fever pitch, before they finally reacted.
"Armor Transmutation: Armorger!" The group yell out. From the main figure, flames erupted out of their ring, the fire beginning to encapsulate their body as it then began to solidify, transforming into a vibrant red suit, highlighted by black edges at the edges. Pauldrons form on his shoulders, taking a more rounded shape with gold Rondels near the corners, with two leather straps holding aloft a silver Chestplate on their chest. Emblazoned across it is the visage of a dragon, it's wings unfurled and breathing fire. Eventually, his face was then covered by a helmet, which then bore resemblance to a flat-visored Bascinet, with a black, shaded glass visor over the eyes. Pointed at the middle, resembling a widow's peak almost, the sides then branch out to mirror the wings of a bat. Holding his hand out, the fire then forms one more accessory- A red-tinted Greatsword with runes crawling up the middle towards the tip of the sword. The hilt guard takes the shape of flames being spat out from a dragon in the middle, with a scarlet reptilian eye situated within the two dragon heads of the hilt guard. The hilt itself is coated with a bright red leather with black metal under it, the pommel having a metal flame bolted onto the hilt. Grabbing the hilt with both hands, the Knight then lifts the sword out of the ground. With a grunt, the blade is then released, lava spilling out a bit from the mark it made in the ground, before he spins it in his hand once. The flat part of the blade lands on his shoulder, before he holds his hand out towards Moraiza, extending a finger towards her.
"King of Humanity, and Defender of the Weak! Let my name strike fear in the heart of Evil, for I am Armor Rex!" The knight exclaims.
Next to him, another figure releases another element out of his ring- This time, bluish electricity crackles out from the ring, before surrounding his body. The lightning then congregates into a dark blue colored suit, with the same black outlining as the previous knight. Much like before, Pauldrons form onto his shoulders- These ones being much bigger than the ones previously, reaching down to the middle of his biceps. As well, the chestplate shows a visage of a roaring bear, raising its claws instead of a dragon. The helmet this time bears similarities to a Great Helm, with a more rounded top instead of a cylindrical, with the visor having jagged, zig-zag patterns at the edges. The lightning then materializes what appears to be a Kite Shield, adorned with saw blade-like ridges across its edges. The three points at the top of the Kite Shield blacken at a point, resembling bear claws to a certain extent, with lightning bolts engraved on the sides. The shield itself is cobalt blue on the edges, with a Black Color in the middle, painted over with White and Dark Blue colors with a Bear Symbol in the middle. The Knight then straps to his forearm, lightning still crackling off of the both of them. Doing a quick twirl, he does a devil horns gesture before slamming his chest, the motion causing his chest plate to ring out with a metallic 'clank!' He then leans back before pointing at Moraiza as well.
"Knight of Humanity, and Defender of their Will! I am Armor Blue!" He exclaims, another crackle of Electricity running through his body.
To Armor Rex's other side, his compatriots ring exploded out with a gust of wind that began to envelop him. Yellow winds blew through, before wrapping around his body into that of a yellow suit with the same black outlines as the previous two. When it came time for the Pauldrons to form, their pauldrons took on a smaller shape, with spikes lining the ridge of the pauldron. Across their chest sat a depiction of a Pegasus, it's front hooves reared back and it's wings outstretched. When it came time for the helmet to form, it took a shape reminiscent of an Armet, with a kite shield-like face plate. Their black visor incorporated the point of the faceplate between it, having a v-like dip between the two ends. At the edges of the visor are feather-like patterns, almost sort of like bird wings. Holding their hand out, the zephyrs then coalesced into a small, yellow hilted dirk with feathered wings acting as the hilt guard, one wing angled upwards towards the blade, and the other one angled down towards the hilt, which is wrapped in a Yellow-and-Black Leather with jewels encrusted into the sides, and a diamond as the pommel. The blade itself is hollow in the middle, consisting only of the edge itself, which has a Xanthic coloring to it. Drawing the blade from it's dark yellow sheathe, the Knight spins it within his hand, before stopping it in the reverse grip position. The knight then lowers his body close to the ground, holding his arm with the dirk out behind him, keeping one hand on the ground in front of him to keep him from falling onto the dirt face first.
"Knight of Humanity, and Defender of their Purity! I am Armor Yellow!" He declares, a gust of wind blowing behind him, kicking up dust.
To the left of Armor Blue, shards of metal spew out from the ring- Not the metal the ring itself is made out of, but what appears to be glittering, shimmering shards of gold. The gold shards then stick onto his body, before finally forming a vibrant pink suit with, again, the same black outlines across their body as the others. The pauldrons then form from the same gold, taking on a flat form, resembling shoulder pads than actual pauldrons. Across his chest plate, a top-down view of a Hawk with its unfurled is engraved on the armor. His helmet, as well, takes the form of a closed helm, the face plate thankfully out of the way of the black visor. The visor itself has a v-shaped dip at the top, with similar patterning to Armor Yellow's visor at the edges- Instead of being angled up, however, the feathered wings are angled down, with talon-like appendages at the bottom. Holding both of his hands out, two weapons formed- A parrying dagger, with a neon pink blade edge that has an eagle head as a pommel and small, pink rope-like cords wrapped around the hilt, as well as talon-like claws acting as the hilt guard. On the other hand is a Rapier with a basket hilt guard wrapped around the hilt, taking the shape of two feathered wings wrapping around an object. The pommel is flat, save for a small crest of an Eagle on the bottom, with a straight edged, pointed blade that gleams with an amaranthe light. As soon as he gains both weapons, the knight immediately sheathes them, before getting down on one knee. Placing one hand on his gut and leaving the other one out, he takes a bow, before splaying both arms at his sides to the sky.
"Knight of Humanity, and Defender of their Chivalry! I am Armor Pink!" The knight announces, as a rain of glittering golden shards falls down around him.
The final figure, and the one standing to the right of Armor Yellow, finally begins his transformation, when Water sprays out from his ring like a beautiful geyser. The rainbow created as a side effect of the transformation permeates throughout, as the water then swirls around him, before solidifying around his body. The water then transmutates into a Black Suit with white outlines where the usual black outlines sat on the suit. Their pauldrons take the form of two crested pauldrons, with golden tassels under them. As their chestplate forms, the crest of a lion roaring from the front is engraved onto the metal plating. Their helmet's form resembles that of a Visored Barbute, with a Black Visor that has an almost mane-like pattern around the edges. Holding his hand out, the Knight then summons what appears to be a black glaive with a white diamond-shaped pommel, with the end of one end having a sculpted model of a lion's head, it's mouth open, the blade emerging out of the lion's mouth. The blade itself has various vine-like patterns carved into it, and it has an ebony glint to it. Drawing a line in the ground, the knight then flicks the glaive up to the air, before slamming it's butt onto the dirt, before turning his back to Moraiza and giving her the side eye.
"Knight of Humanity, and Defender of their Virtue! I am Armor Black!" The knight finally declares, before Armor Rex puts a foot forward.
"Giki Sentai, Armorger!-" He announces, before he slides his foot to be horizontal to Moraiza, his shoulder pointing towards her, as Armor Blue takes a wide legged stance and holds his kite shield out in front of him. Armor Pink places a hand on his rapier, as Armor Black swings his glaive forward, staring down the enemy, while Armor Yellow simply leans back as if he's about to start sprinting. "Riding Forth!" Rex declares, before the Knights finally charge forward into the battlefield. Plowing through the crowd of weak foot soldiers that make up the Unseelie Court, Moraiza's shadowed complexion grows frustrated and angered. Without saying a word, she raises her hand to point at them, two knights hidden by the shadow walking forward as if to go and fight them… Before the one to her right draws their sword and lops off their hand, both to the surprise of the other knight and the Sorceress. Looking to them, the Knight nods to the Armorgers, before pointing his sword towards the other Unseelie Knight.
The battle for Humanity was decided on that day. Though many humans fell, Moraiza was pushed back and sealed away by the power of the knights. Though the brave warriors fought hard, they soon disappeared afterwards. The humans who bore witness to the fight that day then passed down legends of the 'Knights of the Round Table,' with their leader known as 'Arthur, King of the British."
2019 A.D., London, England
Tale 1: Knights of Camelot, Gather!
The gentle trill of the alarm from her clock awoke Jessie from what was probably one of the more intense reading sessions she had gone through. Thank god her English course was giving her interesting books instead of the usual 'Shakespeare' or 'Hemmingway' crap she had gotten so bored of. Grabbing a hold of the textbook that had fallen onto her face after she had passed out at the middle of night, she slowly lifts it off of her face… Only to see a strand of spit connect the page she'd fallen asleep on to her mouth. With a grimace of disgust, she wiped off both her mouth and the page, before closing the book with a loud 'thk.' Flinching at the sound, she eventually reached over and nearly smashed her alarm clock to pieces from the annoyance the noise brought to her. Sitting up, she'd slowly and carefully get out of bed- The dorm the school gave her was great and all, if it weren't pitifully small. At least she didn't need to share it with anyone, she supposed. And it was far, far away from her mother…
A knock at her door snapped her out of her thoughts, and she stood up- Only to knock into her desk that stood very close to her bed, the furniture clinking and rattling around thanks to the various bits of metal and tech that sat on it. Jessie let out an exasperated sigh as she tried to still all the various bits of metal and chips that she dismantled from that smart watch she got from her mother before her dad divorced her. She supposed dismantling and re-assembling tech was something she needed to stop, but damn if it wasn't satisfying when she did it. The knock at her door, again, shook her out of her thoughts, as she threw on her usual clothes- Leather Jacket, T-Shirt, Jeans and Boots- before brushing her hair down. Nodding at her appearance, she finally opened the door. Standing in front of the door, about ready to give the wooden door another rap, was her College Friend, Jack Dawson. Dark red hair glistening in the lights above him, he wore the usual cable sweater, jeans, and sneakers, along with his glasses.
"Jesus, did the book bore you into a coma? We're gonna be late for class in like, 10 minutes unless you haul ass to Trigonometry." Jack nags, Jessie grumbling at the parental ragging that Jack seems to do unbeknownst to even him.
"So did you- Unless you waited outside my door for god knows how long and kept knocking." She replied with a smarmy tone, the student shutting up for once as he lets out a muted 'well, you know…' Eventually, Bahisa made herself known by lightly hitting their friend on the head, eliciting a 'ow!' in response. Rubbing the back of her head, she let out a 'hmph' before looking between them two, backpack already on her back and supplies under her arm.
"Hey, at least you two didn't have to deal with people who yell at you about how their toppings were all messed up when they messed it up themselves." She replies, before gesturing down the hallway where many other students were headed.
"I'm gonna go to my class, so unless you wanna be late, I'd suggest you do the same." The student replies, before walking down the hallway. Jack slaps the side of his head, remembering that he, too, had places to be, before looking to Jessie.
"You up for some coffee after classes?" He asks. Coffee in the evening probably would raise a few eyebrows, but not for the three of them. In fact, Coffee was practically their life blood when it comes to surviving the constant studying and classes. Nodding blankly, she gathers her stuff quickly and rushes to Trigonometry.
Waking up in his crap apartment, Julian Edwards started his usual day by bemoaning his life's situation before eventually getting over it and slinking out of bed. The nigh bare walls, stripped of most of its paint, definitely wasn't something Julian liked to see every day. Stains blotched the gray walls, some of them Julian could amount to food or drinks, some… He'd rather not think about. Making sure to avoid the rat traps and cockroach traps on his way to the kitchen, he eventually gets out his clunky, old, and barely functioning coffee maker and starts to get some coffee in the pot. Until, of course, he could hear that the dripping of coffee had stopped half-way through the process. Letting out an irritated groan, Julian hit the thing on its side, making it start up again as he went to his bedroom and put on his clothes. Plopping onto his ratty Futon, which was in it's couch form, he'd flip on the crappy 10 year old flatscreen he kept in the living room.
"We've got live footage from Japan showing their newest 'Super Squadron,' the 'Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger-'" The reporter started, before Julian rolled his eyes and turned off the TV.
"Another one? It feels like another one crops up every damn year- And every time, they're always in Japan. I mean, has any other one shown up anywhere else? Ah, what the hell ever- It doesn't really matter at this point. I need to eat today, anyhow." The grizzled man groaned, before hopping off his couch and putting on a hoodie. Pink. He grimaced at the color- He liked it, but it really screwed with his image. But, unfortunately, it was cold out, and he was going to be outside for a while. And this hoodie? The only one he has on him. Throwing the hood up over him, the punk walked out the door and out of his apartment complex into the streets of London.
It was a dangerous living, but pickpocketing was the only one that… Someone of his ilk could really accomplish well. Not that he enjoyed it- Some people might think he does it for the thrill of the chase or the thrill of stealing from people. No way. He does it so that he can eat another crap meal and make it to the end of the day. Besides, he never steals credit cards- He'd be tracked down if he does that. He just tries to take something off of them, or just steal the cash out of their wallet. Sometimes he gets lucky, sometimes he doesn't. But, the worst part is the wait- Waiting for possible hours in an alleyway in the London Winter is not exactly his definition of fun.
Sure enough, he took his usual spot: The alleyway in front of the pub. Drunks come stumbling out, and usually, they're too drunken to notice that their wallet is gone, or their watch is gone, or what have you. Or, perhaps just some idiot who isn't paying attention, like… Bingo. Some dumb broad seems to have walked out the bar- Not drunk, but definitely not paying attention. Hopping to his feet off of a trash bin, the pickpocket shoved his hands into his hoodie pockets, putting on some gloves inside. Walking behind her, he'd eventually overtake her, before reaching into her jeans' pocket. After a microsecond of digging around, he grabbed onto what he could identify as her wallet, before pulling it out… Only for her hand to wrap around his wrist. It felt like a goddamn vice was on his wrist! He could audibly hear his bones creak as she looked at him from her phone, putting it into her other pocket.
"'Ay, th' hell's your problem, eh? D'y'jus' reach int' people's pockets like it's your on an' take their shit!?" She asks in a heavy Irish Accent. Julian was now sweating- He's been in this situation a few times, and he's gotten his fair share of lumps, but something about her gave him a bad feeling. As in, a bad feeling that she'd leave him broken and bloody in an alleyway. She raised her eyebrow as if waiting for an answer.
"My next job starts in 30 minutes, boy, so ya'd better-" Julian didn't let her finish, as he wiggled his way out of her grip by taking his hoodie off before running off.
"YOU FECKIN' BASTARD!" She yells, tossing the hoodie to the side and chasing after him like a lioness after it's quarry. Taking the usual right into a nearby alleyway, he was hoping that she'd eventually give up after seeing the grody alleyway… But, no. She instead kept charging at him with a crazed look in her eyes. Letting out a scream of true fear, he hopped a fence near the middle of the alleyway, climbing it as she smashed into it. Shaking the entire fence something fierce, he tumbled down onto the ground and rolled away. Maybe now she'd give up-
"MOTHER! FECKIN'! SON! OF! A!-" His answer was quickly answered as she saw her begin to ram into the fence, the thing buckling from the abuse she was dealing to it. Sweating profusely, Julian got to his feet and started sprinting again, just as she toppled the fence down onto the ground.
"SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT-" The delinquent hissed out, feeling the looming presence of that mad woman down his back. How long was this gonna go on for!?
"Ugh… Is it just me, or is that report about Gawain and the Green Knight friggin' difficult!?" Jack complained, taking a sip of his extra milky Mocha Frappe. Letting out a chuckle, Jessie took a giant drink out of her Caramel Frappuccino with Salt chunks, before elbowing him in the ribs.
"Maybe if you actually read the thing and don't go dead eyed when you try to read it, you might get somewhere." She teases, Bahisa chuckling a bit at that jab.
"Yeah, it'd help if you used your eyes for once." She continues in the teasing, taking a shot from her Black Coffee with a bit of sugar. Jack groaned- He sort of walked into that, he supposed.
"Doesn't exactly help that it's written like a damn riddle- I mean, honestly, how do they expect people to read that and not be confused? Ugh, I feel like I'm gonna have to bullshit my way through that report." The student bemoans, before Bahisa pauses in her sip.
"Do… Do you not just do that already?" She asks, Jack looking like she had said the most appalling thing imaginable. Before he could respond, though-
"COMING THROUGH, COMING THROUGH, MOVE THEFUCKOUTOFTHEWAY-" A man pushed past them, spilling all of their coffees onto the ground… Or, in Jack's case, in his face.
"AUGH, OF COURSE-!" Jack yells out, before a distant yell cut him off once again.
"GET THAT BASTARD! HE'S GOT MY WALLET!"An irish woman bellows, before rushing past the group. Most of the Londonites simply watched, before going back to their business… Not Jessie, Bahisa or Jack, though. No. That 'bastard' had spilt the coffee they had paid for. There's no way in hell they're not gonna teach him a lesson! Getting to their feet, the group chased after the punk, following that woman closely.
Julian was running out of options, time, and stamina. He either loses them now or he probably gets dog piled by these group of morons who have devoted a good portion of their time to chase after someone who won't even use her card for god's sake! The pickpocket looked around for anything he could possibly escape to, before seeing an open manhole. The sewer- Great, as if he didn't stink enough. But, they wouldn't possibly chase him down there, right? … Right? Pushing a London worker out of the way, he grabbed onto the ladder that led down to the systems below London and slid down. Harshly hitting the ground, his legs shook, before he walked a few feet away from the ladder. Goddamn it stunk here, but… He's finally rid of them-
"DOWN HERE, GUYS! I SAW HIM CLIMB DOWN HERE!" She yelled again, before Julian's eyes shot open. Oh my god, they don't STOP! The Punk rose to his weak feet again, before he gave a quick scan to the sewer system. Seeing a nearby pathway in one of the walls nearby, he decided that he could try to lose them there. Hopping over the river of filth and excrement, he limped over to the pathway… Before noticing this pathway was less of a pathway and more of a cavernous tunnel that seems slick to the touch and almost… Smooth. Before he could contemplate any further, though, he could feel the body of one person hit against his back, making him lean forward, waving his arms in distress.
"GOTCHA!" The irish woman yelled out, before the other three students joined in. Losing his balance, the five began to tumble and slide down the random tunnel that had placed itself in the walls of the London Sewer System.
"YOU IDIOOOOOoooooooooooo-" Julian screamed out, before the wall dematerialized behind them, transforming back into a simple wall.
How long had Jessie and this small gaggle been sliding for? Probably a few minutes, but to them, it felt like an eternity of just tilting onto one wall, then onto the other. It was like a water park slide, just without any of the fun and none of the smooth plastic the slides offered. Just smooth rock, which felt way, way less comfortable than the slides. After the 'fun' ride, however, they all were all plonked down onto what felt like a marble smooth rock flooring with a groan. Instantly, the irish woman emerged from the pile that had been accumulated, before picking up the delinquent she'd been chasing after. Grabbing him by the collar, she began to shake him.
"YOU! STUPID! SON! OF! A! BITCH! WHY DID Y' RUN!? WHY!? I WAS GONNA GIVE YA M' MONEY IN M' WALLET!? HONESTLY, AM I THAT SCARY!? HUH!? GO ON THEN, ANSWER ME!" She yells, the pickpocket only able to let out whimpering groans and pained murmurs as Jack hopped to his feet, clearly confused by the dynamic going on between the two of them. Taking a look around while that 'argument' took place, as soon his eyes adjusted, he shook Jessie's shoulder, who, at the moment, was checking her phone.
"No signal…? Friggin' great. Looks like we'll have to try and- What, Jack!?" She yelled, before looking over to where he pointed, Bahisa also seemingly stupefied at the sight. Sitting in front of them was a glorious castle- Though darkened by the fact that the cave had no light, it was still impressive to see. It shimmered with what little light there was, clearly indicating that it was some metallic structure, and not brick and mortar. It was also somewhat alien in design- Various points seemed to float by whatever mechanism, or perhaps magic, was used in the construction. The main tower was separated from the whole thing, along with a few wings and another minor tower. But, overall, it seemed to be in fairly good condition, as evidenced by the fact that there was no moss or anything on it. Or at least, from this distance, it doesn't look like there was. Even the irish woman stopped her lecture to notice the castle in the distance, the pickpocket trying to lock his eyes on it. Almost as if she realized something, the irish woman walked over to the group, before offering her hand.
"I am, so sorry. I completely f'rgot t' tell you guys m' name! I'm Riley! Riley O'Connor- Just so you can tell m' boss that I was late for completely justified reasons this time!" She exclaims, the group staying silent as she drags the punk over by the collar of his shirt.
"Well, go on! You dragged us into this mess because of you, so, what's your name? Spit it out, y' bastard!" She yelled, before the kid finally recalibrated, shaking his head.
"J-Julian…" He responds.
"Julian who…?" Riley presses, before Jessie held up a hand.
"I-Introductions… Aren't as important, ma'am. At least, not in this situation. So, please, just… Put him down. Even I'm starting to feel bad for him." The student reaffirms, before noting that Julian seemingly let out a quiet 'thank you' as Riley releases him with a 'hmph.' The five of them bring their attention back to the castle yet again, before the redhead steps up to take a look.
"Think there's anything we can use in there t' get out?" She asks, before Bahisa shrugs.
"It's our only option at this point, aside from starving or dying of dehydration." Bahisa reasons, before Jack slaps both palms onto his cheeks, realizing that, yes, if they don't do something quick, they'll probably die of thirst or hunger. Either way just as bad as the other.
"Wh-What are we doing here, standing around like a bunch of idiots then!? Let's go already!" Jack yelled, before running off towards the castle at higher speeds than even Riley could do. Blinking, the group look to each other, before heading off to the castle. Save for Julian, who used the extra few seconds to recover, before realizing they ditched him and ran after them.
The inside of the castle was just as surreal as the outside- As soon as they approached the gates, they almost opened as if they were automatic. Which doesn't make much sense, seeing as how they're wooden gates with iron hinges. And, the second reason it doesn't make much sense is the fact that even they could tell no one's been here for ages. Though from a distance it looked fairly untouched, up close, it clearly had some wear. The crest that showed what this castle was once called was faded and rusted beyond recognition, possibly from water dripping on it. The courtyard was overgrown and clearly beyond repair at this point. Walking through the dilapidated courtyard, the group eventually arrive to the giant gilded doors of the main hall. Before Julian could even offer to open it and get shot down by Riley, the doors creaked open as soon as they approached it.
"This is some pretty creepy crap…" Bahisa mutters, looking at the self-opening doors, Jessie affirming the obvious.
"I would say that this is some kind of trick, but, those super sentai teams use magic sometimes, right…? So, magic definitely exists…" Julian speculates, being the first to walk into the main hall. Riley lets out an annoyed hiss from his recklessness, before the students look at each other and nod, heading into the castle.
The halls were as opulent as the outside of the castle. The roof was adorned with multiple stained glass paintings depicting various knights battling demons and what have you, as well as multiple paintings of knights in various situations. Riding a horse, sitting, so on and so forth. Only noteworthy due to the type of style the paintings employ. These aren't modern paintings- Not even renaissance 'everything and everyone is beautiful' paintings. These are old english paintings, the ones that kind of look like Van Gogh's twin brother tried to be more realistic. The three students could tell instantly- They saw multiple variations of these in their textbook while reading about Gawain and the Green Knight. Did this place exist during those Old English days…?
Not long after, they reached the center of the main hall- A familiar set piece they've seen in media after media after media. A round table, complete with 5 stone thrones surrounding it. In the middle of this marble table sits a coin slot-like indention in the table. Thin enough to fit a piece of paper judging by their eyes, but not much thicker to fit much else. As well, in front of each throne is a single golden ring, practically embedded into the table. Try as Julian might, they could barely get the thing to budge.
"Dammit! If I sold even one of those, I could be rich!" He declares, the group looking at him with a sort of astonishment.
"Even in a place like this, you're still thinking of money…" Bahisa remarks, before Julian flips her off in annoyance. After investigating, the only thing of worth they could even see was a sword in stone, something Jack scoffed at.
"Great, it seems we've stumbled onto another King Arthur movie set that, I guess, sunk into the ground." He rolled his eyes, Jessie chuckling in response. Noting the sword and looking to the indent, she decided that it's at least worth a shot. Walking up to the sword, she'd place her foot on the stone, before grabbing the hilt of the sword. Tugging on it, the student didn't even get it to shake a bit. Jessie blinked, before putting both feet on the stone and pulling with her whole upper torso. Of course, the only thing this resulted in was her flying backwards and landing on her back.
"Guess you aren't the chosen one." Julian mocked, crossing his arms. Jessie slowly got back back to her feet, before squinting her eyes.
"Guys, what if that sword is supposed to go into that… Thing on the table?" She announced, before the gang eventually looked at the slot and then at the sword. They all paused, before reaching the same conclusion they did. Though they wouldn't know what happens when they put in there, it's better than just sitting around and doing nothing. All of them grouped around the sword, each one offering a hand on the sword, before they all at once began to pull. The slot the sword was shoved into began to glow, as the sword, finally, started to move. After a full minute of the group's shared struggle to remove the sword from the stone, the blade finally flew free from the stone's grasp… Only for the stone to spiderweb, a giant crack spreading across it, before it shatters with a great 'krakoom!' Looking at the dust the stone kicked up, Jessie noted that it almost shimmered within the small amount of light that was inside the Main Hall. Picking up the sword, the college student lugged it over to the table, before inserting it into the slot within the middle of the table. When that did nothing, she then tried to twist it. After rotating it 180 degrees, the sword finally clicked into place. Instantly, all the torches lit up with a spectral greenish light, before the rings on the table lit up with a magical power. Now that they got a better look at them, they could see the runes inscribed on the inside of the ring, and how they glowed with colored light. One ring sparkled with red light, the other with blue light, another with yellow, the one next to it with a pink light and the last one with a blackened light.
Curious, Jessie silently reached out to grab the red ring. Before Jack could complain about the danger of picking up random magical rings, the sparkling dust from within the rock earlier began to return. This time, it floated within the sword that was inserted within the round table, before the blade began to glow. Materializing in a flash of white light stood a regal looking man. Though he seemed like a normal noble from a first glance, things got complicated when the eye wandered to their head. Where a usual human head sat was a draconic face, complete with a snout and horns that grew from the forehead and grew back across the top of their head. Red scales decorated their body, with their fingers tipped with white claws. A single whip-like tail emerged from their back, emerging from under their furred cape, along with a mess of teeth emerging from its snout. Looking at the college students, the Dragon narrowed it's eyes, before it asked a single question.
"Do any of you realize what you've done?"
The sorceress woke up with a start, emerging from the sands of the beach where she and the Armorgers had their final confrontation. Her long dark blue hair glistened in the sunlight, along with her bug-like wings that emerged from her back. Resting them down, they transformed back into a flowing, clear cloth that ran down her shoulders and to her arms. She let out a cough, realizing how much sand had gotten into her lungs, before eventually standing up.
"How… How long has it-" She widened her eyes. Her world-! Holding a hand out, she muttered a quick incantation as an Alchemical Circle appeared on the air. Turning it 360 degrees, the Portal opened up. What she saw broke her. Her world was already on the brink of destruction. She knew that. It was why she came to this realm. But… To see it. Desolate. Destroyed. A husk of its former glory. The sorceress let out an instinctual, whispered 'no' upon seeing the vision of her world's end. It… It couldn't be real, right? This was some other world she looked into, yes? But she knew better. She knew better than anyone else that this was the fate of her people. She was the only one.
"No… I'm not the only one." She growled out. Her despair quickly turned into fury. Those damn traitors! Aligning themselves with the humans… They doomed their home world to save the lives of a bunch of peasants! Heathens! Baring her teeth, she decided that if she couldn't save her people, she may as well create a new realm from the remains of this one. Getting back onto her feet, she held out a hand, summoning another Alchemy Circle in the air, before turning it 180 degrees and raising her hand. As soon as she did so, a giant hunk of rock began to float out of the ocean she stood in front of. About as big as a mountain, with a few flicks of her hands, the stone was then carved and the material changed to a dark purple marble. With another flick of her hand, the castle then stood aloft within the sky, held up by winds her Alchemy kicked up. With her base of operations out of the way, she turned to the beach behind her. It was empty- unpopulated. Seems there weren't any humans on this side of the island she landed on. Placing her hand down on the ground, figures began to emerge from the sand. Humanoid. Eventually, the humanoids gained more and more detail, before the two at the front emerged. They were blank dolls, but Moraiza had no intention of keeping it that way. Forming another Alchemical Circle, she began to carve out her new Unseelie Knights.
"The Unseelie Court lives. The Unseelie Court fights for the future of the Fey… The Unseelie Court fights to avenge our fallen brethren. And they fight for Justice." She drills into her Homunculi, who nod in agreement.
She will not fail this time.
A/N: I've only recently gotten into Super Sentai, but so far, I am loving it. I've been going through which seasons I'd want to see- Started with Magiranger, then moved onto Shinkenger, then watched Gokaiger, then Zyuohger, and am now on Kyuranger. But, ever since I started my binge, I've always had an idea to make my own version, and well, here it is! Please, leave a review- It's how I get better, after all! Also, mind the long introduction- I have to introduce the characters and plot, after all.
Thank you for reading!
