Life is but a dream they say, and I'm just rowing my boat,

It's heart to breathe, I feel like sinking, there's a lump stuck in my throat.

And fear of drowning isn't gentle, violently going down the stream

Silently hope that someone saves me, deep within I cry and scream.

Eyes covered with a veil of darkness, I have a vision but still blind,

The road is hidden, I am lost, I feel like I've been left behind.

But when I've almost given up, I saw a hand that reached so deep

It pulled me out of the abyss, and it is real, I'm not asleep.

I've hit the dead-end in the maze, of my existence, lead the way

I'm feeling fazed, the days are gray, but you are bright as the sun's ray.

I'm not the only one who's saved, by your ethereal delight

You give us strength to rise and fight, unwavering we feel no fright.

Alleviate all of our fears, we pour our blood and sweat and tears,

To push our limits, face off peers, your voice is music to our ears.

You're not a slave nor entertainer, you're like a dear distant friend,

And we are thousands, you are brave, to walk beside us till the end.

I know I'm faceless, it means nothing, I feel like you can understand,

Better than lots of those around me, who live, but they are pretty bland.

You said not all of us are special, and this applies, but not for you,

Your work and talent are essential, there's nothing that you cannot do.

But if one day the flame will wither, and kindled can't be anymore,

Follow your heart, and we're together, will land at new and distant shore.

No matter how many of pages, you'll flip in dusty book of life,

Deadbeats will follow through the ages and dive right in the afterlife.
