A/N: This Story has two Prequels, A Professors Secret and A Werewolf's Secret.

When Demetrius received his letter from Hogwarts a scream of excitement could be heard all over France.

"Roxanna! Are you okay?" Remus ran rushing into the sitting room where I was at once.

"Mom what's wrong?" Demetrius was right behind him.

Okay so I thought it was a scream of excitement but apparently to others it was one that caused alarm.

"I'm fine!" I assure and hold the letter up. "Demetrius your letter from Hogwarts just arrived!"

"That's fantastic!" Remus says patting Demetrius on the back.

"Cool." Says simply then turns to leave.

I frown. "Honey don't you want to open it?"

"Mom I know what a Hogwarts letter says." He says offhandedly. "You really just need the supply list."

I look at Remus who only offers a shrug. Demetrius left perfectly content. However, I was both confused and concerned. "That's it? He's not excited?"

"I'm sure he's excited Roxanna, he's just not as dramatic as yo-" I throw him a look I know he is not about to say as dramatic as me but he saves himself "as you think he should be."

"I don't expect him to jump up and down but he's so nonchalant about it! Do you think he's nervous?"

"No, I think he's fine, just more interested in those muggle video games you insisted on getting him into."

"Well, you or Lilian wouldn't play with me and Lockhart sucks, I had to have someone- that's not the point! It's not the video games okay, I think my poor baby is nervous! And of course, he would never admit it." I said knowingly.

Remus sighed. "You're turning this into something deeper than it is, dear." He approached me and placed a kiss on my forehead. "Drop it, please."

"Yeah sure." I answered but I was not really paying attention, I was thinking of a way to help Demetrius. It made sense that he would be nervous after all. This would be his first time leaving by himself. My poor baby. Maybe it would help if we took him shopping for his supplies? Yeah, that should do it! I'll get him the latest fastest broom we could find; he loves quidditch so that's sure to spark his interest.

I make my way to the Lilian's side of the Manor. I pretty much gave her the east wing, and while I could just apparate there, I once made the mistake of apparating into a very unpleasant scene. Well unpleasant for me anyway as they seemed quite please, until I interrupted that is. But believe you me, I learned my lesson. So now I walk the entire way there making sure my footsteps are loud enough to send warning just in case. "Lilian!" I shout as an added measure.

"In Suri's room." Lilian shouts back.

"Hi Auntie Roxanna." Suri greets Lilian's eight-year-old daughter as I walk in.

"Hi sweetie." I say as I take a seat on her bed. She and Lilian are currently sat at the small table with an assortment of tea utensils. "Ooh tea party."

"Here you go." She brings me a teacup and much to my dismay it is not empty. Fuckkk. I love her and all but she is not the best tea maker.

"Thank you, Suri." I say feigning a smile. As she turns to go back to the table I hurriedly whisper a silent spell to make the substance disappear. Suri is none the wiser, but Lilian throws me a look. I shrug. "Oh that was delightful honey. Make sure you give your mom a lot, don't be greedy." Lilian throws wide eyes at me and I smirk.

With the roll of her eyes playfully she asks, "What was is you needed Roxanna?".

"Well Demetrius got his Hogwarts letter today."

"Oh that's great!"

"Well yes it is but he doesn't seem to think so."

Lilian frowned. "Oh? What did he say?"

"He said 'Cool'." I inform her and make air quotes with my fingers.

"And? What else?"

"Well that was it. 'Cool' and then left."

"Okay.." she says slowly. "What makes you think he's not okay with it?"

"The lack of excitement Lilian! I think he's nervous."

She laughs. "Roxanna do you expect him to jump up and down? I think he simply thinks its cool, but its still just school. He won't know how cool Hogwarts actually is until he experiences it."

"I don't know Lilian. Maybe he does simply think its cool but what if that not it?"

"Why don't you just ask him?"

"Just ask him?" I laugh. "Good one Lilian. Now here's what I was thinking we take him to Diagon Alley and talk about our experiences and hopefully he'll warm up to the idea of school."

"I don't think he's afraid of school Roxanna." She sighs with a chuckle. "But sure. Suri has been wanting to go out, haven't you honey?"

"Yes. I need more tea leaves!" she exclaimed. No you don't my mind automatically replied. Luckily they were not legilimens.

The next morning, we were all ready and decided we'd be traveling via port key. "Do you have Demetrius' list?" I ask Remus for what must have been the thousandth time.

Thankfully he's ever so patient with me and my scattered brain that he simply says "Yes, dear."

Lockhart laughs. "Oh just you wait you'll be doing this in three years!" I inform him.

"Hey that's a ways away!" Lockhart says pulling Suri into a tight embrace. I smile against myself. He's such a softy for his kid.

"Everyone ready?" Lilian says as we gather around a journal. "On three.." she begins to countdown and we all grab it at the same time.

We gracefully land on the outskirts of Diagon Alley. "Okay we're off to the leaky cauldron." Lockhart says. Remus gives me a kiss and ruffles Demetrius' hair before he leaves with Lockhart.

"Roxanna I need to stop at Gringotts. Will you take Suri with you and you can go ahead and start shopping?"

"Of course. Come on sweetie." Suri instantly grabs my hand. "Meet us at the broom shop. I think we'll spend the longest there."

Suri, Demetrius and I head to the broom shop. Finally, I see the excitement I've been waiting for in Demetrius. "Do you know which one you want honey?"

"I don't know there are three that are each the best at something different!" he informs me excitedly. For me I only every cared about speed but Demetrius is smarter than me, he looks at speed as well as agility and stability and whatnot.

"Baby if you can't decide just get all three." I offer.

He frowns. "Dad said I had to choose one."

Ugh, Remus would. "Ah well if that's what Dad said then we better respect his wishes but I'm sure you can at least test drive all of them."

"I would pick the fastest!" Suri exclaimed and I smiled.

"That's my girl!" I say because that's exactly the one I would pick too.

As I predicted we're still at the broom shop when Lilian meets up with us again. Demetrius is deciding between the really-really-fast one or the really-fast one with good grip. Suri however has already fell in love with a starter broom so of course I had to get it for her. Lilian was not too fond of that but I assured her it was perfectly safe, it was charmed to not let her fall. When we finally left the broom shop Demetrius had decided to get the really-really fast broom as he was looking to tryout for seeker.

"You seem really excited for tryouts, and school?" Lilian asked subtly.

"Oh I am, especially with my new broom. Its not unheard of that a first year makes seeker but its not exactly easy either, I think this makes my odds a lot better."

"Okay Demetrius what kind of pet would you like?"

"A Doberman!" I knew he would say this. They recently began allowing dogs at Hogwarts and Demetrius has wanted a puppy for the longest time, but he hardly takes care of the nifler that I was not sure how he would handle a puppy but I suppose its time.

We finally find all of my baby's supplies and with a new puppy in tow we regroup with Remus and Lockhart.

"Oh my." Remus says as he sees the puppy.

"A Doberman! Perfect!" Lockhart exclaims.

"Isn't he cool dad? And look at my broom!"

When we're finally back home and we've had dinner and its time for bed, I find myself uneasy. Demetrius is apparently not as nervous as I thought and that's wonderful but I think I'm beginning to realize it was I who was nervous all along. I've never been apart from him for longer than three weeks. The idea of months away from him is giving me anxiety.

Remus exits the en-suit bathroom and settles into bed. I get up from my vanity and join him. He waves his wand and turns the lights off and then pulls me to him. He kisses me and it's a good distraction for a few minutes but when things are about to escalate my stupid mind decides now is a perfect time to voice my concerns. Ugh I wish my brain knew when to shut up. "Remus." I whisper.

"What is it my love?"

"I think its me. I'm the one nervous for Demetrius."

"That's perfectly natural." He assures gently.

"I don't think I can be away from him for that long."

"Its inevitable Roxanna, what else can you do short of getting a job at Hogwarts." He says with a low chuckle but I wasn't laughing. Suddenly my brain is running with the idea. I believe Remus senses this. "Roxanna, no. No way."

"Well I've always wanted to become a professor." I said innocently.

"So you'll just leave me for a semester?" The petty side of my mind wanted to ask how it felt to be left since he left me so many times but that was not here nor there. Instead I said, "Don't be ridiculous, you're coming with me. You have experience surly you'll get hired again in a heartbeat."

Remus merely signed for he knew it was pointless to argue.
