A/N: Hey to the people reading this. This is my first story and as you (hopefully) know already, this is an AoT and One Piece crossover. Any criticism is appreciated and I hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece or Attack on Titan. Those belong respectively to Eiichiro Oda and Hajime Isayama.

Luffy was his name. At least, that's what they told him. He has no memory of his parents, and neither does anyone else for that matter. The only real information he knew about himself was that he was 12 and what he looked like. He's been on his own now for a while but he doesn't mind that too much. Its hard anyway to have any friends being that he often has to steal foods and all the other essentials just to get by.

"Yum! It's been a while since I had so much to eat all at once!" Luffy exclaimed. He was lucky this time as he was able to snatch a barrel full of provisions that he was able to run off rather quickly thanks to his surprising amount of strength for that of a 10 year old. He did need it, after all, he is a thief.

"Oi did anyone see a little pipsqueak running off with a barrel?" Luffy heard in the distance the man who he stole from asking nearby shop owners this question repeatedly. But that's not what Luffy was focused on at the moment.

"OI WHO ARE YOU CALLIN' PIPSQUEAK!?" Luffy shouted as he ran out of his hiding spot to confront the man who insulted him.

Silence followed as Luffy soon realized the mistake he made by running out of cover.

"What are you guys standing around for, get him!" As soon as those words left the man's mouth Luffy was off running again like he had done several times before. This was not new to Luffy and he quite enjoyed running away from them while they made silly angry faces at him.

"Bleh! Bet you can't catch me stupid!" Luffy said as he stuck his tongue out at the people chasing him while he created more and more distance between them.

He had done this all his life and was more then adept at it as he maneuvered his way through the streets of Shiganshina, a town located on the south edge of Wall Maria and the area where he lived.

"How the hell is this kid so fast…!" the men coughed out as they started to slow down more and more before they couldn't keep going and came to a stop.

Luffy was staring at them from atop a house he managed to climb onto as he lied on his back and let out a sigh.

Then a smile appeared on his face as he chuckled. "Man, that was fun! I can't wait to do it again next time!" He spoke as he began to chuckle some more. As he laid back, he started to feel a sinking in his stomach as his mirthful face slowly turned to that of a saddened one.

"But it…it's not enough" he thought to himself as he looked at the horizon. Before he could create any further thoughts, he heard a bell ring throughout the district. The melancholy expression he had previously on his face turned into a face splitting grin as he realized what time it was.

"Yosh, time to go see the scouts again!" He said as he got off the rooftop and ran towards the exit of Shiganshina where the scouts would surely be.

As he got there he noticed the crowd of people that were there. Luffy pushed his way through the crowd as he looked to see where the scouts were. He found what he was looking for as he saw the gate open and coming through were the scouts. Though when he looked he realized that there were a lot less compared to when they left. And on even further inspection he realized that almost all of them wore grim expressions on there faces. Quickly after, Luffy began to hear muttering of insult directed at the scouts. Of course, they had no choice but to simply take it as they couldn't go yelling at random people. They weren't even in the mood for-

"SHUT THE HELL UP!"

All eyes suddenly traveled to the boy as a small circle formed around the boy.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU GUYS ARE DOING!? THEY RISK EVERYTHING TO GO OUT AND ADVENTURE WHILE YOU GUYS JUST SIT ON YOUR ASSES AND DO NOTHING!" Luffy screamed out. Even the scouts had to stop for a second to take a look at the boy sticking up for them. Same for a certain brown haired boy who has a similar dream to Luffy, but they won't formally meet quite yet.

"Hm? Why are you all looking at me?" He said as he looked around to see them all staring at him.

But as quickly as they started staring at him, their attention returned to the scouts, only with less verbal insults to be heard aloud. Still, this ticked off Luffy as he decided to just leave from here and wait till they go on another adventure.

3 hours later

Luffy was back on his roof that he decided to lay on as he looked now towards the now reddened horizon. 'I wonder what's beyond the walls' Luffy began thinking. He started laughing as he realized something. "I bet the scouts probably know! Yosh, I know what I'm gonna do now. I'm going to join the scouts!" Luffy proclaimed as he then began laughing and laughing until-

*BOOM*

This sound shook Luffy as he quickly sat up to find the source of the sound. He began to climb the roof he was currently on and when he made it to the top he saw something a he never thought he would see from inside the walls.

"Wh-why is there a titan?" Luffy managed to stutter out as he stood there with a look of shock on his face. He had never seen a titan before but even he had a feeling that this wasn't right. I mean if there were titans that big every day, then he would've probably seen one by now.
*BOOM*

Before he could even snap out of his own thoughts, he heard another booming sound, this time from a lower area. As his eyes traveled down he saw something that shook him to his core. The wall to Shiganshina had a hole big enough for titans to travel through.

"…what… the hell… is going on…?" he said as he stared in shock at what was happening before his very eyes. Soon after he began to hear screaming and that seemed to bring him out of his shock as he realized this was his cue to start running. As he continued to run he began to maneuver his way through the streets he had gone through his entire life. He began to hear more intense screams which could only mean one thing. People were getting eaten. He soon sped up as he made his way toward the street that led to the gate entrance of Wall Maria. He heard people getting eaten and being torn apart and crushed but he could do nothing. This frustrated him to no end as he suddenly realized his lack of freedom within the walls.

"DAMN IT!" He cried out as he made it through to Wall Maria.
