Rise of the Three Kings – A Pair of Kings Fan-fiction….

A/N – Hey all, I'm new to Fan fiction. Well, not new, new. I've been reading stories on this site for a long time and finally decided to start writing my own! I use to watch POK when it was on TV and just re-discovered this wonderful show again while in quarantine. I noticed how sparse this fandom site is for Fan fiction and am kind of sad about it. So, I decided to write some for this show! This story is set somewhere within season three of the show. It includes all three triplet brothers, and a new villain. One that isn't Kita the Bat Rider. Anyway, not to spoil anymore, I'll let you read on. I own nothing from the show. It all belongs to Disney….

Chapter 1

The Beginning

The king cruiser came to a stop as Boomer parked it right outside the line of the dark side. After all, with his time of being King on Kinkow, he knew more than ever about the dark side of the island. It was not a good place to be, however, his newest brother Boz was still learning. That's right, Boomer didn't have one brother; he had two. However when Boz arrived, Brady vanished. So now, Boomer ruled Kinkow with Boz.

"BOZ!?" Boomer called out as he unbuckled and stepped out of the king cruiser. "BOZ! COME OUT I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE! IT'S NOT SAFE!" Boomer called once more slightly annoyed as his newest brother for not listening to him. This had to be the eighty-million time this week Boomer has come looking for his brother on this side of the island after all.

Silence followed his call and Boomer face palmed. Ever since Boz showed up, and Brady left, things had not been the same on the island for sure. However, at the end of the day, Boomer didn't mind having Boz around. It was nice to still have a brother around, someone to be a friend with, and still go on adventures with. Even if at times, Boomer found himself being the more responsible twin.

While lost in his thoughts, Boomer didn't notice Boz sneaking up behind him. Leaning against the king's cruise, Boomer shook his head to try to clear his mind of his other brother. His name was still too painful to use. Just as he cleared his mind, a hand landed on his shoulder. Out of instinct, Boomer grabs the arm and flips the person over his shoulder and onto the ground. He instantly regretted it when he saw it was just Boz.

"BOZ!? – "Boomer questioned with annoyance. " – What have I told you about going to the dark side of the island!? And more importantly; what have I told you about sneaking up on me!?" Boomer finishes as he glares at his brother.

Sitting up, Boz tries to regain his posture from his brother's flip over as he stretches. "To not too…." Boz states flatly as he avoids eye contact from Boomer.

"Right…so why would you ignore my warning and go there!? You're lucky I found you and not Mikayla…." Boomer finished with a serious look.

With a sigh Boz says, "I know, I know. I'm sorry I just can't help it. The dark side is just so fascinating…So much to explore. Even if it is the dark side, it's still part of our island…" Boz finished as he turned and eyed the line between the light and dark side.

Shaking his head, Boomer sighs. "Whatever, just stay away okay? Now come on, we have to get back to the castle before everyone starts looking for us." Boomer finishes.

Together, the two climbed into the king cruiser. Boomer in the driver's side; Boz in the passenger side. As they drove back, Boz kept quiet thinking to himself. His thoughts were only interrupted when they reached the main plaza of the castle. Parking the king cruiser, the two began to climb out.

"Where have you two been!?" The voice of one Mikayla Makoola questioned as she entered the plaza seeing the kings. She had walked up to them by the time they climbed out of the car, but their back was turned to her. Her voice had made the two jump and scream in surprise only to turn and see it was just her like normal.

Boomer was the first to glare at her. "Women you have to stop doing that! First Boz; then you? Man I need to get you two some kind of bell…." Boomer finishes as he rubs his forehead temples with his hands.

Frowning, Mikayla rolls her eyes. "Anyway; what were you two clowns up too? You know you have a meeting with the elders of the island today. We need to be prepared for their arrival." Mikayla finishes as she smiles at the two brothers.

Boz frowns this time; he never liked these elders of the island. They always tried to ruin his and Boomer's fun. With a sigh he asks, "What are we meeting the elders for again?"

At this question, Mikayla gives him a look. She rolls her eyes lightly and replies, "To check up on how you're doing. That and they wanted to tell you two something. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm assuming it's super important and has something to do with being kings." Mikayla finishes as the two brothers nod.

Boomer groans and says with annoyance. "Great, more kingly stuff. Well, if we have no choice, we should go get ready. How long until they arrive?" Boomer wonders.

"In two hours." Mikayla explains simply. She nods to the upstairs. "Now, go on. I'll come get you when they arrive. Don't forget the blue robes and your crowns." Mikayla finishes as the brothers slump their shoulders and head off to their royal bedroom…

Up in the royal bedroom of the two kings, Boomer and Boz were lounging about as they got ready. Both of them were changing into their blue robes, these robes resembled the power of kings. It was an important part of their attire whenever they were doing something kingly. The next thing they put on was their crowns. The crowns also showed powers, for without the crowns, they wouldn't be kings at all. As soon they both were dressed, they looked one another over to make sure nothing was out of place.

"How do I look bro?" Boz questions as he gestures to his outfit.

Boomer smiles at him. "Kingly my good brother. How do I look?" Boomer questions in return.

"Kingly as well brother." Boz finishes with a smile and the two chuckles and fist bump.

Whenever they got ready, they always messed around. It was what made them; them…

After they fooled around some, they relaxed. Boomer played some one-on-one poll and Boz went through his artifacts from the dark-side he had found earlier. This had become a hobby of his. Since there was so much to explore on the dark-side, anything that seemed interesting or out of place to him, he took. Despite his brother's warnings; the dark-side didn't seem all that bad. After all, thanks to his exploring he now had a full bag of newly discovered items. Some items, he couldn't wait to figure out what they were….

"Hey Boz, what do you have there?" Boomer questioned suddenly as he looked over from his game at his brother and noticed him arranging items on the table.

Boz smiles after he slightly jumps at his brother's question. Hiding the jump, he pats the seat next to him on the couch and the two sit on the couch together. Boz gestures to the items on the table, "Oh; these are some of the items I found while on the dark side…" Boz finishes with a little nervousness but excitement.

"What!?" Boomer questions in surprise as he jumps back and eyes his brother in annoyance. "Boz, what have I told you about taking things from the dark side!?"

Sighing Boz looks at Boomer seriously. "I know, I know….but I can't help it. I see shiny things and I want to know what they are. So I kind of collect them…." Boz explains simply.

Boomer eyes him. "You mean steal them?" Boomer questions with a huff. "You better not have taken anything that belonged to anyone on the dark side. Otherwise we'll be at war because of you and things have finally settled down between us and the dark side." Boomer finishes as he continues to eye his brother before eyeing the items.

"Oh come on….I know you're interested in the items….Might as well check them out before we return them right? After all, no one knows they are missing right now." Boz states with a hit of pleading in his voice.

Silence followed the two for a moment before Boomer caves. He had to admit, he was interested in what Boz found anyway. "Fine…since we still have an hour before the elders come. But as soon as we are done looking at all the items, and as soon as the meeting is over, we are taking all these items back before Mikayla or Mason find out we have them. We do not need another lecture from them…." Boomer finishes.

Nodding Boz smiles. "Deal"

Together the two shake hands and as soon as soon as they are done, they start looking at all the items. Among the strange things Boz had collected, there was an antic vase. It was cracked in some places, and the color was fading. Next to the vase was an old arrow from a bow and arrow. It was rusted, and the carvings in the wood of the stick were unusual. But, those were just some of the items. For there were so many, it was hard to keep track of what was what. Boomer and Boz enjoyed the bonding time.

Until Boz picked up something and stated, "How about this necklace? Isn't that weird?" He questioned as he showed Boomer who looked at it oddly. Boz chuckles, "I mean who puts dog tags on a chain necklace and wears them?" Boz wonders as he examines them.

Boomer goes quiet for a moment and studies it too. For some reason, those looked familiar too him. Wait….they couldn't be…"Can I see those?" Boomer questions as he takes the necklace out of Boz's hands before he could reply.

"Hey…" Boz whines slightly. He was hoping Boomer wouldn't take them from him.

They were pretty cool actually and he planned on wearing them at the meeting with the elders. Boz however, noticed an odd expression on his brother's face. "Boomer? You okay?" Boz asked slightly, starting to worry. Watching his brother's facial expressions change, Boz knew something was off.

However, the awkward silence was finally broken when Boomer spoke up. "Boz, where did you find these?" Boomer questioned a little quietly.

Boz thinks and he says. "I found the necklace on the dark side. Near a wrecked palace balloon. It was abandoned, so I searched it for fun…" Boz finished simply.

Standing Boomer looked at him in shock. "What!? And you waited until now to tell me!?" Boomer demands as he feels a rush of emotions coming over him.

"Whoa bro…" Boz states in defense as he stands up. "Why does it matter? It's just a necklace, and like I said before, the balloon was long abandoned. I didn't see any survivors if there was anyone on it in the first place. So I figured, it was nothing…." Boz finished as he stops speaking at Boomer's glare.

"This is not nothing!" Boomer exclaims as he sighs as he holds up the dog tag necklace. "This is not just any necklace. This is Brady's. He wore these all the time when I got them for our first birthday on this island…." Boomer explains as he stops in mid thought to think some more.

Boz's eyes widened. "Brady? You mean our other brother?" Boz questioned. Every since he arrived on the island, he learned he had not one, but two brothers. Boomer and Brady. Unfortunately for Boz, Brady had just decided to leave the island before his arrival leaving Boomer behind. So, every time the third brother was mentioned, Boz was interested. It would be so nice, if all three of them could be reunited once and for all. Finding this necklace, might just help Boz and Boomer achieve that. That is….if Brady was really still on this island. For all they knew, he could've found another way off if his balloon crashed…

"Boz – "Boomer stated, breaking his and Boz's thoughts. Boz looks at him instantly. "– After this meeting; I need you to take us back to the crashed balloon you found these at. If Brady really is still on this island, we need to find him and bring him back…" Boomer finished as Boz smiles and nods.

"Alright, I can do that. But how will we get past Mikayla and Mason?" Boz wonders, he knows how strict those two can be.

Boomer paces as he thinks. "We'll sneak out after everyone goes to bed…." Boomer finishes as Boz looks at him in surprise but nods.

Before Boomer or Boz could say another word, Mikayla pokes her head inside the room. "Your majesties, the elders are here! Please come downstairs…" She finishes as she vanishes again, before either of them could say anything.

Once she was gone, the two brothers looked at one another and nodded. They set the dog tag necklace in one of Boomer's desk draws so they didn't lose it. Boz sighed as Boomer put them in the draw, so much for wearing them. But thought left his mind quickly for the two began to walk downstairs together. All they could do was hope that this meeting with the elders went well….
