Prologue: Imprint
Keigo looked at the clock on his phone, wondering where his assigned sidekick was at. The information he was given was that she was another flying type hero to match his fighting style. He bit the inside of his cheek as he flipped through the paperwork. The woman's hero name was Silent Owl. With the paperwork they have given him they forgot to clip a photo of the hero. It has said that this woman had a quirk that she could hear from great distances as well as speed when she flies. He has to test out her flying when they finally meet. Keigo paced around his desk before placing the paperwork down on the desk. His foot tapped against the floor as he lost himself in a deep thought. Silent Owl was supposed to meet him at this time in order to go through preps before the nightly scouting tonight. He scratched the back of his head while he looked up at the clock, she was late. Nothing annoyed him more than someone who wastes his time.
He clenched his jaw as the clock continued to tick. With a loud frustrated sigh, Keigo started to walk out of his office and reached for the door handle. If this hero is any later, he will have to cut them as a sidekick. Keigo did not have such time for negligence. He wasn't much of a stickler for the rules but he did not like his time to be wasted. He made his way out of his Agency building and down to the bottom. It was only a matter of time until he was swarmed by fans in the beginning of his patrol. He stopped in order to greet every person, it's something he always did for the citizens. If it were up to him, he would rather be relaxing but duty calls in its own way.
"Hawks!" A voice called out.
Keigo looked around the crowd of fans but the voice didn't come from there. He looked up to the sky and that's when he saw a figure. It was dive bombing down toward him, his eyes widened. The person was going so fast and his eyes had trouble adjusting to what it was. A pair of white and black tipped wings spread open as a woman stopped in front of him. Their lips were inches apart and Keigo's heart pounded like crazy. The woman's yellow and pure black pupils dilated completely as she looked up at him. Her white curls bounced as she stayed there watching him, making Keigo stop breathing for a moment. Her bird-like talon feet gently touched the ground before her wings folded close. For some reason, he was seeing her in another light. Keigo felt like the world stopped as his eyes met hers. The sound around them was silent and all he could see was Luna.
What was this feeling?
His heart skipped a beat when he saw the woman standing in front of him. Her body was thicker than any other woman he'd seen. The hero suit she wore complimented her figure so well, he felt like his jaw hit the floor. Her hips were deliciously wide and her breasts were a nice big size. Keigo couldn't help but stare at her up and down. All the curves in the right places and her hands had long talons. They looked intimidating but in a way sexy to him. His gaze moved down to her feet and he was surprised to see the talons of a bird covered in white feathers up to her calf. His eyes finally moved up to her face and that's when something inside of him was screaming. Her hair was long, curly and her bangs were pinned back into a small bump. Three black strands in her hair but everything else was pure white. However, her pure yellow eyes with a black pupil made his entire body freeze in awe.
Keigo felt his feathers puff up as he continued to stare at her. He quickly cleared his throat as he tried to relax his wings.
Fuck.
"Hawks sir, I am Silent Owl reporting for duty." her voice was cheerful and it caught him off guard.
"Wow, who is that?" someone said in the crowd.
"I've never seen her before." another person gawked.
Silent Owl turned around toward the crowd to apologize for the abrupt entrance. She stepped back behind Keigo so he could deal with the crowd of people. His eyes did not leave her body until she was behind him. His chest felt funny and his heart was pounding for no reason at all. With a deep breath, he put on a smile for the fans before finishing up their requests. Keigo politely excused himself from the crowd of people and grabbed Silent Owl's arm as they continued to walk down the street.
"Care to explain why you were late?"
"Excuse my tardiness. I had a little trouble finding you on my way here." she laughed as she rubbed the back of her head. "Since it's in the night I have a hard time seeing in the dark."
That laugh is so cute.
"How can you be an owl and not see in the dark?" Keigo squinted at her unimpressed.
"Correction, sir. Not every owl has the same ability as the other. My quirk is based on a Snowy Owl. They have fantastic hearing, silenced flying and great vision in the daylight. I can see in the dark but I cannot see well." she added as Keigo stared at her.
"So you basically got lost on your way here?" Keigo grunted. "Don't call me sir. I'm not old."
"Unfortunately yes." she sighed.
Kiego frowned as he rolled his eyes at her. "You should look into goggles that can help your vision in the night. I do a lot of patrols during the night and I fly very high sometimes where there is no light."
"When I say I'm not completely useless, I meant it. I wouldn't be where I am today if I let that one flaw slow me down." she reassured Keigo. "Have some faith, sir."
He clenched his jaw and smirked at her. "I see, kid."
"By the way, you can call me Luna. It's easier to say instead of my lengthy hero name." she said with a giggle.
The look on her face made his heart skip a beat. Keigo couldn't stop staring at her. His body was demanding for her touch and her taste. His eyes wandered down to her voluptuous thighs and his mouth began to water. Keigo's face flustered at such thoughts. He bit the inside of his cheek as he struggled with his emotions internally. He had never been this distracted before and it was actually starting to piss him off. A shiver ran down his spine just from thinking about her in any way.
What he would do just for a taste of her.
Luna leaned over close to his face. "Hawks? Are you ignoring me?"
"W-what...? Sorry I was just thinking."
"If you say so." she gave him a quick smile.
"How about we fly on top of a building and talk a little? You never came to my office for a talk so we might as well up there with no distractions." he pointed to the Agency he owns.
"Sounds good. Let's fly!"
With that Luna shot back up into the air, leaving Keigo on the ground as he gawked. His head was spinning, how was her take off so fast? He flew up next to her and he was amazed at how quiet her wings were. Every flutter of her wings were nearly silent when he made a noise. They both landed to the top of the agency building and turned around to give him a quick smile. She looked over at him with just a smile before taking off her ear muffs. With a soft sigh, she looked back up to the sky.
"God, I hate wearing these damn things. I have to be up high sometimes to take these off. Otherwise I hear too much around me." She gave out a sigh before placing them on the ground.
"What do you mean?" Keigo looked at her curiously.
"Snowy owls have extraordinary hearing. Part of my quirk is being able to hear everything and anything. If you drop a needle on the ground I'd be able to hear it."
"So if I whispered underneath my breath you would be able to hear it clearly?" Keigo placed a finger on his chin. "Let me whisper something but let me go away so I'm not next to you."
"Bet."
Keigo spread his wings to fly to the next building and he gave her a wave. He took a deep breath before whispering underneath his breath. Saying softly, "If you can hear me, lift one of your wings for me." He watched Luna standing there and one of her wings lifted in response. He chuckled before whispering again. "Wow, that's impressive. A cutie and she has an awesome quirk. I got lucky with this sidekick thing."
Luna's wings twitched in the distance as Keigo watched her with a low chuckle. He licked his lips before whispering again. "Even though you were late. Did you want to grab some dinner after our patrol? It'll be my treat."
Keigo felt Luna's body shift with his wings. She perked up her wings as she shook her head with a flustered expression. He quickly took off to join her back on the other rooftop. Her face was red as she turned away from him.
"I can never pass up free food." she flustered.
They looked at one another and both started to laugh. Luna pushed Keigo by the shoulder with a giggle and he smirked at her. His heart was racing just from her touch alone.
What the hell was going on?
"This may be me over stepping but can you show me your wings? I'm curious." he smirked. "I heard your wings are silent when you fly."
"Unlike yours, my wings are delicate and make my flight pattern nearly silent." Luna pointed out.
She turned her body around to spread open her wings and Keigo watched in awe. Her wing spread wasn't as big as his but it was more elegant looking. Something in his body wanted him to touch her feathers. It was gnawing at his brain.
"Can I touch them? I'll be gentle." He asked.
"Sure thing." She spread out her wings a little more.
He moved his leathered glove to his teeth to yank it off. His hands gently caressed along her white feathers down to the black tips, she stood still as he did. Her feathers were soft to the touch and he bit his lip. His fingertips wanted to touch the base of her wings so bad but he held himself back. Luna lowered her wings before turning back to Keigo with a flustered expression.
Why was my heart racing so fast?
"Your wings are gorgeous." Keigo patted her shoulder.
"Can I see yours?" she whispered. "It's only fair."
He gave her a smirk before Keigo began to remove his jacket and his wing flapped open to show off to her. Luna's eyes dilated as she watched his wings spread.
"Wow, they are so big."
Hell yeah they are, baby.
"Think so?" He chuckled.
Keigo turned around so she could get the full frontal of his wingspan. He smirked to himself because he knew his wings were larger. He felt her hand gently move across his feathers. Keigo looked over his shoulder to Luna but her eyes were glued to his wings. Her fingers moved up further and his wings flapped a little in surprise where her curious hands were trailing to. His heart began to race against his chest and that's when he felt her fingers touch the base of his wings. Keigo tried to pull away but she kept her fingers on the sensitive spot on his wings. He was trapped in her grasp, making his heart pound against his chest. Her fingers began to stroke the base of his wings and he threw his head back with a groan. Luna's hands caressed between the base of his fathers and a shiver shot down his spine. It was driving him insane how her fingers worked. Every now and then a moan would slip out his lips.
What was she doing?
How does she know where his spots were?
"Wait...!"
There was a sudden pain in his wing and he pulled back with a grunt. Luna's hands pulled away as soon as he grunted. He turned to see her eyes go from being dilated to her normal iris. He breathed heavily as they stared at one another. Luna looked down at her hands before she looked up again him again. He knew that look anywhere as she took a step back.
She was ashamed.
"I'm sorry. I must have zoned out." she looked away ashamed. "I didn't mean to hurt you. That was completely inappropriate of me."
"Do you zone out like that a lot?" he asked.
"Unfortunately I do. I don't know why I do that." Luna looked down sheepishly. "I think it's a drawback of my quirk, I guess."
Keigo tried to grab her hand but she pulled away.
"I don't want to hurt you again..." she flustered.
The look in her eyes made Keigo frown, knowing she was disappointed in herself. He slipped his leather glove back on his hand before he grabbed onto her shoulders. She looked up at him when he smirked at her.
"I promise you that it didn't hurt that bad. It was like a pinch. Believe me I've been through worse." he reassured her.
Luna looked down with a frown. "I'm sorry. No matter how much I try to trim my talons they won't stay dull."
"Why would you do that?"
"I hate my talons that's all. They just get in the way a lot." she mumbled as she rubbed the back of her neck with a smile. "It's nothing really."
"You what? Why would you think that?" Keigo tilted his head. "Your talons are fucking sexy."
Luna's face turned red after he said that to her. She quickly hid her hands behind her back with a playful smile but Keigo knew better. "You are so funny."
I want her.
"Funny? Kid, I'm not lying to you. I'm a smug bastard but I'm not a lair." Keigo gave her a wink.
He took a breath before gently placing a finger on her chin, her head shot up with a blush. Her eyes were dilated again as they met. His heart raced against his chest and his mind was cloudy. His body wanted to claim her as his. It was tearing at his consciousness even if he tried to suppress it. He didn't understand why his body was reacting the way it was but he felt like a horny animal. Luna stayed still in front of him as he did not move his hand from her chin. He didn't want to move either but there was a silence that would break. He wanted to lean over to kiss her lips but he knew he couldn't do that.
I need her.
Luna moved her head from his grasp with a sheepish giggle. She turned away from Keigo and his hand reached out for her suddenly. His hand found the base of her wings and he watched her wings spread up quickly. She fell to her knees with a loud moan just from a single touch. Keigo's face grew hot while he stared down at her. Knowing full well he had overstepped and just fucked himself with doing that. Luna's face was so flustered and for some reason he was loving it. He knelt down to her while her back was close to his chest. His lips brushed up between her wings and she jumped a little at his breath. His eyes closed for a moment as he took in the moment. The overwhelming desire his body was craving was driving him insane. He could feel his fathers reacting and puffing up just being so close to her. His body was boiling inside with such feral desire but he was trying to hold back. He wasn't acting like himself and he didn't want his new sidekick to get scared of him.
With a shaky deep breath, Keigo helped her back up to her feet and she quickly pushed away from him. Her eyes looked up at him completely dilated but she was flustered even more. She looked down with a shy smile and he continued to stare at her. He must have looked like a complete moron in front of her.
He didn't give a shit though.
I can't stop this feeling...
"Are you alright? I didn't mean to grab your wings like that." Keigo spoke softly. "I lost my footing a bit."
She breathed. "My wings are too sensitive when you touch the base of it. B-be careful."
God, does she not feel it?
"Well, look at it this way. You scratched my wing earlier and I touched your wings on accident. A little payback from when you touched mine. Isn't that fair, little bird?" he chuckled.
"I didn't mean to hurt you though.." she whispered.
"Don't worry about it, kid."
Luna grabbed her ear muffs off the ground before placing them back on her head. Keigo watched her closely as the sunset was behind her, illuminating her curves while she fixed herself. He felt like he could not breathe as he stared at her. His heart was racing so far that he felt tongue tied. Luna's eyes opened up to see him staring and she tilted her head with a smile. Keigo could not move nor could he say a word to her. All he wanted to do was just stare at her as the sun was setting down on her body. He knew damn well he was going to be in trouble with this one.
Is this what imprinting feels like?
