In spite of the hour, where most were asleep, Alena found herself wandering the gardens of Askr's grand castle that summer night, being restless herself. The skies were clear that night, full of stars, the moon emitting a soft glow to illuminate the trees, shrubs, and flowers around her.

It was at that moment that her ears picked up on a voice.

"Humming…?" Who else could possibly be awake at this hour? Needless to say, she was quite curious, and followed the sound.

The scene she was met with was enough to take her breath away.

Silver hair glimmered under the pale moonlight as a soft tune came forth from slightly upturned lips. His dancing form was graceful, and the man before her seemed not to notice her presence, caught up in the routine. A step to the left, and a turn, and…

...Oh.

"Alena?!"

Pink tinted his flustered face as he caught on to her presence. How long had he had an audience?

"Ah, Inigo! I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare. You were just so…" Beautiful. Mesmerizing, even. "That is, you seemed to be having so much fun, I couldn't bring myself to interrupt."

"I see…" So she had been watching, presumably for a while. "Please, do speak up next time. You gave me quite the startle, I'll have you know."

"Of course, I'm sorry. I'll keep that in mind if it happens again."

A moment of awkward silence passes, and though she glances away, Alena seems to have no intention of leaving any time soon. Perhaps she was a bit lonely, in the solitude of the night, or perhaps she just didn't know what the right course of action would be. Eventually, Inigo lets out a quiet, resigned sigh before smiling.

"Well, since you're already here… How would you like to be the first to see my new dance routine?"

Her face lights up, and he begins to dance again, from the beginning. As he does, she finds herself leaning a bit, swaying to and fro with his movements… an action that eventually catches his attention. In time, he makes his way to her and, grinning, offers a hand with a characteristic wink.

"May I have this dance, milady?"

"Ah! I-I'm not a very good dancer…"

"Then I'll teach you! Come now, the night's not getting any younger!"

It was her turn to be dusted by pink as he took her hand, and though she could not deny the butterflies in her stomach, she was undoubtedly pleased with this turn of events.

And so, the two danced, smiling all the while, beneath the moonlight.
