So this is my first real fanfic I will put time into. I had an idea, will going into a better explanation of what the quirk is and if you fallow me on tumblr or lovespelt you know what au idea this is.
Izuku morning should have been going great, he was four years old meaning he was going to get a quirk. But he woke up with a splitting headache. It wasn't like a normal headache, it was like he was thinking the same thing twice over and the moment he went to think about something else there was a bit of a delay and somehow making his headache go away. "Izuku good morning," Inko walked in "happy birthday."
"Mom my head hurts," Izuku said.
"Oh ok Izuku let me get you some water, that will help," Inko said rushing to the sink to get a cup. Izuku sat in his bed trying his best to make the headache go away.
Izuku headache went away slightly, but was still there. "Can you go to school Izu," Inko said.
"Yep, it's going away," Izuku gave his mom his usual smile.
"Ok, just go to the nurses if it get worse, I'll come pick you up," Inko said rubbing Izuku messy hair.
When Izuku got to school, his headache came back slightly. He tried to get his was through the day with making it worse. But his friend came along to undo that.
"Oy, Izuku," Katsuki said "they heck wrong with you."
"My head hurts," Izuku said "how to I make it go away?"
"I'll wack it out," Katsuki smiled letting off a few small explosions.
"No!" Izuku put both his hand in front of him. "Hey!" Katsuki said jumping back slightly. Izuku opened his eyes to see his hands on fire. His left hand was a pure white flame, while his right was a forest green flame.
"Wow, Midoriya got his quirk," some of the kid said. Izuku was mesmerized by the two flames.
"I have my quirk," Izuku said raising his hand an accidentally shooting two distinct flames into the air. his headache worse, much worse. Izuku screamed in pain as rubbing his head.
"What wrong," Katsuki said.
"It's worse," Izuku said.
"Does that mean I can hit your head?!" Katsuki smiled.
"No," Izuku said running to the nurses office.
It wasn't uncommon for kids his age for kids his age not understanding the limits of their quirks. Katsuki was so dehydrated when he got his quirk he nearly passed out a few hours of nonstop usage. The nurse gave Izuku some water and told him to sit lay down. Izuku tried to summon his flames, they were so unique and cool looking, but it made it worse. But Izuku was happy he had a quirk, a cool one a that. He couldn't wait to see what he could do, he couldn't wait to be a hero one day. "Izuku, are you ok?" Inko said in the nurses office.
"My head still hurts," Izuku said "but I got my quirk." Izuku gave the biggest smile he could.
Izuku laid sat on the bus ride on leaning against his mom who held him tight. "Let's get you home, if it gets worse I'll take you to the doctors ok," Inko said "and since you got your quirk, I'll make your favorite tonight."
"Katsudon," Izuku said and gave a small yay.
Inko had to almost carry Izuku in her arm when they got off the bus, because Izuku keep falling over. She was worried it was some sickness. But all that worry was gone when they got home. "Izuku just lay on your bed," Inko said "I'll get you medicine."
"Ok," Izuku said taking a few step before falling over to his side, both of his sides.
Inko saw her son glow white and green before splitting into two people. Their clothes split between them, one had his pants and shocks, the other had the shirt underwear and shoes. "Izuku!?" Inko said in confusion.
"I'm ok mom, my head stop hurting," they both said in unison. When they realized that they both looked at each other. One had slightly longer hair, while the other was slightly taller. "Mom, why is there another me?" They said in unison again. Izuku was in confusion, he could only see out of only one of them, but he could still almost feel the others thought, emotions, and a few other things. "Izuku?" Inko said, she was just as confused as the two Izukus.
'Who are you,' they thought. They thought he still where thinking double, but then one of the Izuku thought quicker than the other 'Poo my headache coming back.'
"We can share thoughts," the other Izuku said out loud.
"Woh, I think we can," The other Izuku smiled. Inko gave a small smile realizing her son, or kids where no longer in any kind of danger. "So who are you?" One of the Izuku said.
"I'm Izuku," The other said "why do look like me."
"But I'm Izuku," the other said. They both looked at each other in confusion then said "Mom."
"Ok, you two get dressed," Inko said "let's go to the hospital."
The two Izuku got dress quickly. Even though Izuku felt like he had one body he felt what the other felt and felt like he had some control. 'So is this a result of my, our quirk?' One of the Izuku thought. 'Must be,' the other thought back 'but who is the original.'
'Maybe the doctor will know,' the first one thought.
Inko did not know what to believe, her son had split into two people. She suddenly had twin. She was still happy for her son or now children, this was just a brand new development that need to be sorted out. The doctor did a few test with the two Izukus. A MRI, a X-ray, and finally a small test of their quirk. "Ok can you two show me your quirk?" The Doctor said. The two Izuku nodded and held out their hand, both ignited into a colorful fire, one was green while the other was white. "I remember I had both," one of the Izuku said.
"Yeah, I only have the green," the other replied. "Well, how did you feel when you could?" The doctor replied.
"Headache," both Izukus said. The doctor began to think for a bit before looking at the MRI scan.
"Ms. Midoriya, do you want to know what the difference between these two are," The doctor said pointing to the two Izuku.
"No, not really," Inko replied.
"The MRI showed they have an almost identical brain pattern," the doctor said "though biologically, one of female." He pointed at the Izuku with slightly longer hair, giving them both a surprise. 'I'm a girl?' the female Izuku thought.
'Why did it split me into a boy an a girl?' The male Izuku thought and then both started to give the classic Izuku mutter. Inko gave a little giggle at how cute the two where.
"Is something wrong mom?" the Izu said.
"It's nothing," Inko said rubbing both of their heads.
"Do you know how this happened?" The doctor asked.
"Well Izuku had a bad headache at school so I came to pick him up," Inko began "and when I came home, Izuku just split in two."
"We had a headache," the Izukus said.
"I'm not sure if that is because your a clone or your somehow controlling both," the doctor said "either way it's an amazing quirk."
"Do you think we can become hero's?" The Izukus said.
"It seems like it can be useful," the doctor replied "but yeah probably, just updated the quirk registry when something happens. I have the feeling there is more to it." The two Izukus gave the biggest smile possible.
Inko first had to sign some documents stating that the other Izuku, now Izumi, was her daughter. It was rare for quirks to permanently split a person, the last one who had it where was a child celebrities that could split into two of themselves. But Inko didn't mind, as a parent she must love her children no matter what. But she knew she had do to other things like prepare them separate rooms, get Izumi new clothes, and sign her up for school. "What do you think Katchan will think," Izuku replied.
"We still have a cool quirk," Izumi replied holding a small green fire no bigger than a baseball "and we can be twice the hero others can be."
"Yeah, me, you and Katchan can be the greatest hero's ever," Izuku said holding out his hand for a high five. As soon as Izumi touched it, they glowed white and green.
"Izuku, Izumi!" Inko said in shock as they fused together becoming one again, though this time they looked slightly different. Instead of a small boy, this time became a small child with four arms. "Woh, what happened?" The new child said. "Izumi, Izuku?" Inko replied.
"I think so," the child replied folding both sets of arms in front of them "I think I am both Izuku and Izumi."
"Ok, Izu do you feel fine," Inko said.
"I pretty sure," they smiled "just a minor headache."
"Ok, can you defuse?" Inko replied. All of this was confusing, her son split into twins then fused into a new person. They did look like her they fit in the Midoriya family with the green hair. A moment later the child split into Izuku and Izumi once again. "There is a lot to your quirk you two," Inko sighed as she hugged her children.
Yep and that is my first fanfic, I would probably do some minor rewrites to this chapter to better explain a few things but this is my first fanfic so cut me some slack. This chapter is more or less setting up The two Izus quirk.
A few things about The quirk. 1. It splits the user into two different beings, they are connected by thought but can act independently from one another to a massive degree. 2. Their quirk gets stronger when near each other and especially when they are they're fused form (I'll go into what that power is later on.) 3. Their can only use their fuse form for a certain amount of time a day and factors like quirk usage can deform them early on.
Oh an expect a small break so I can write a few chapters ahead so I can make a good date to publish them separately.
