"Heng-Chun!" A Chinese woman yelled from the kitchen. Her Teenage daughter Heng-Chun didn't even respond. She called again. "Heng-Chun!" Nothing. Just the sound of her sink running. 'Teenagers.' The mother was irritated by her daughter. She leaves the kitchen. Her father was due home any minute now, and she needed to be down here. "Heng-Chun, are you okay?" She's now at the bottom of the stairs. A sense of dread came over her. "H-Heng Chun?" She was shaking, and she couldn't figure out why.

As she ascended the stairs, cobwebs were everywhere. 'Where did these all come from?' They were even on the floor. The cobwebs were so thick she could barely tear them. All the lights and windows were covered. She needs to find her daughter. Now. *Splat* Something soft and moist hit the ground behind her. From the ceiling, a long web dangled to the ground. Something round was on the ground. She was even more terrified now. *Meow* It was their cat! "Nutmeg?!"

She tried to get the web off him. It was so sticky that she couldn't even free him. "Heng-Chun?" She can get him out later. The further into the hallway she goes, the more silk web she found. *Crash* One of the doors was turned into splinters. The mother screamed. Whatever broke the door was now in the hall. She could barely make out what it was. *Splurt* Some silk came from it. A sound was coming from the creature. *Sob* It was crying. "What in the "

Some light poured into the hall. Now she could see this eldritch horror. Brown leathery skin covered it. Its body was segmented with tiny stumpy legs on each one. Moan and groans came from it. The mother backed away slowly. "M-mom…" A deep distorted voice came from it. "What?" She asked it. The thing turned to show its face. Black hair covered most of its face. Underneath, she could see sizeable blue compound eyes. But that hair…

"Heng-Chun!" There's no way this thing was her daughter. "M-mom," It repeated. "Stop, you're not my daughter!" The loud outburst must have startled her. Her blue eyes turned red; she unleashed a horrible screech that shook the house. "WEERRNNN" Silk shot out of its mouth towards the mother. She was trapped just like Nutmeg. With her trapped, their eyes turned back to blue.

"Mom, what's happening?" It may have been distorted, she understood. "Baby, what happened?" This seemed to irritate it. Again her eyes turned red. She started screeching loudly…and growing? She's nearly doubled in size. The floor creaked and warped under her. "Heng-Chun! Calm down!" Nothing would calm it now. The sounds of bones cracking filled the room. It grew larger and larger. Soon the entire hall was no longer able to contain it. The mother struggled to free herself.

Outside

A grey sedan pulls into the driveway. A man of Chinese descent exits the vehicle. He was carrying loads of papers. After a hard day at work, this man needs to taker a load off. His wife and daughter are wai- *BOOOM!* The second story of his house exploded. The giant larval creature emerged. There was no remnant of humanity on it anymore.

The man was slack-jawed by this. The very ground beneath the creature shook. Every single neighbor that rushed outside was horrified by it. "What-" He passed out from the pure shock of it. Being out in the open must have terrified it. Its fight or flight instincts kicked in. Terrified, it immediately made its way to the forest. Several of the onlookers streamed the event. The event was eerily similar to a similar attack in Japan.

Somewhere in Russia

'Monster Amok in China.' Was all the headlines of some major news broadcasters. A prominent Russian man walks past the tv. He's busy tending to his new guest. Once they wake up, they've got a lot of questions to answer. Like how he survived freezing waters…and the fact he has scales and large dorsal plates lining his back.
