Prompt: Lexi had no idea what she was getting herself into when Bulma suggested they take her shopping. *Set before the events of The Strongest Human*
Chapter 1: Sparking!
Lexi should have known something was wrong when the last thing Trunks said to her that day was "I'm so glad I'm not you right now," with that smug smirk on his face as she walked out of Capsule Corporations.
Bulla and Bulma furiously chastised him for trying to scare her, but it still made her apprehensive. Pan's comment of "Tagging along just in case," certainly didn't help either.
With Bulma at the wheel, the four woman group drove into the huge and vast town centre within West City. Lexi would have been mesmerized if she wasn't use to seeing big cities. Even the main city that housed the Royal Palace on Planet Decilia was bigger than this.
Bulla, who was in the front passenger seat, looked back at Lexi who was sat in the back seat with Pan.
The cerulean-haired teen wore a bright yellow long-sleeved shirt with a smiling jolly roger as the band logo, which had protrusions in six directions. She also wore a black hooded jacket, with grey denim shorts and black heeled ankle boots. To finish off her look, her blue tresses were tied into a ponytail, and a star-shaped accessory adorned the right side of her head.
"I'm curious. My dad refused to speak on it, but were Saiyans big on fashion?" she asked Lexi.
The pure-blood Saiyan chuckled. "I'm afraid I don't have the answer to that."
Lexi wore a loose, short-sleeved white "Arrivedeci" crop top that she had borrowed from Bulla, with the words "ARRIVEDECI" in big black letters, jean shorts and black thigh high socks tucked into white sneakers.
Bulma snorted. "Judging by the fact Vegeta wears nothing but that armoured suit, I'd take that as a no."
The three younger women laughed at that.
"My mother however was really into the traditional stuff on Planet Decilia though," Lexi added. "The Decilians were big on fashion. It's apart of their culture."
"I'd imagine anything that isn't just fighting gear would look interesting to a female Saiyan," Pan quipped with a chuckle.
The quarter Saiyan wore a red off the shoulder top and wore a bra top underneath. She wore skinny jeans and plain black sandals. To finish off the look, she wore a black winter cap, with a ninja-like leaf logo on the side.
Lexi agreed with a chuckle. Eventhough she missed the Decilian clothing, the clothing on Earth interested her too.
"We're here!" Bulma exclaimed, parking her car.
The ladies exited the car, and Lexi watched with slightly wide eyes as a sea of people entered and exited a huge building, with the words "Sparking" across it in big gold letters.
"There's a lot of people here," the female Saiyan noted.
"Yep!" Bulma added as she put the vehicle back in its capsule, before turning around to look up at the busy building. "Welcome to Sparking Shopping Mall. It has everything here!"
Lexi stared up at the building in slight awe, before Bulla suddenly grabbed her wrist with an excited smile.
"Come on!" the Cerulean haired teen exclaimed, pulling a caught off guard Lexi towards the shopping center.
"H-hey!"
Pan sighed at Bulla's excitement and quickly followed after the two. "Wait up Bulla!"
Bulma simply chuckled as she followed the three girls into the busy shopping mall.
When Pan caught up to the duo, Bulla was telling Lexi about all the different shops and places they could go. The problem was the half-Saiyan was talking a mile a minute and it was clear to the quarter Saiyan that Lexi could barely understand what she was saying.
"Bulla..." the teen froze at the slightly stern edge in Pan's voice, and turned slowly to face her.
The quarter Saiyan placed her hands on her hips, a frown on her face. "Just because you haven't shopped for awhile doesn't mean you can go out of control."
At this Bulla chuckled nervously, sweat dripping down her forehead as Lexi watched on in amusement. "R-Right. Sorry."
Lexi chuckled at Bulla's response and then looked up, tilting her head curiously.
"Hey Pan."
The young teen turned towards the 25 year old Saiyan and visibly cringed at what she was staring at. "What is that?"
"That's..." Pan groaned, glaring briefly at Bulla, who was attempting to hide her laughter behind her hand. "That's my Grandpa Hercule."
Lexi stared up at the giant gaudy statue that was placed in the middle of the shopping mall, raising an eyebrow. "This guy?"
"Y-yeah..."
"Is he some kind of hero?" Lexi questioned, looking back at the younger girl, who sweat-dropped and looked away from her.
"I guess you could say that..." Pan grumbled, her right eye twitching with annoyance at Bulla's giggles. She blushed at the quizzical look on Lexi's face. "I'll tell you some other time. Explaining it here would cause problems."
Bulma chuckled as she approached the three young women. "Well then, shall we get started?"
The group of women calmly explored the massive building, checking out all sorts of places within the large centre. They passed through a parlour with all sorts of sweets and treats. They even passed a small bar and a built in theatre.
"There's a lot of stuff here," Lexi noted, looking around as she bit into a Sakura coloured doughnut.
"Right?" Pan added with a smile. "When I was a kid, this place was a small marketplace. But they had to make it bigger because of all the tourists."
"Here we are!" Bulma called out. The group of women came to a stop by the entrance to a large and long district full of clothing shops.
"Whoa!" Lexi exclaimed, marvelling at the architecture. Outside of the shopping mall, the world had a futuristic feel, which she was use to due to traveling through space. But this stretch of concrete felt old fashioned, and yet it was well kept, like it had been built yesterday. Modern, yet not quite. There was even a small fountain that cut through the middle of the shopping district. "What is this place?!"
"This is Himark Park," Bulma told her, puffing out her chest as they walked into the long district. "And I happen to own a third of the Himark company!"
"Wow. Impressive," Lexi commented, impressed as Pan looked around, eyeing the clothes that had been put on display.
"She would have owned this entire company if she didn't lose that bet to an overseas aristocrat," Bulla quipped, giggling when the older woman turned on her with an irritated glare.
"Zip it you!"
Pan chuckled at their antics, taking her eyes off the clothes she was eyeing and turning her attention back towards the group.
"So Lexi, see anything-" the quarter Saiyan froze, her black eyes widening as she quickly realized she was now alone.
"Wha- HOW?!" she exclaimed, looking rapidly around for Lexi and the two demons incarnate, ignoring the stares she received from passers-by.
"Damnit! I should have known they'd try this!"
. . . .
Lexi blinked as she followed behind Bulla and Bulma, confused.
"So, is there a reason we left Pan behind so suddenly?" the silver-eyed Saiyan asked. She became nervous when Bulma and Bulla paused, an aura of mischievousness rolling off them.
Mother and daughter turned on Lexi with evil smiles, making the pure blooded Saiyan sweat with comical apprehension.
"Hey... what's with those looks?!" Lexi exclaimed with worry, backing away from the cerulean haired duo as they approached her. The troublesome pair had grabbed her before she could get away, and before she knew it, she found herself inside an expensive looking women's only shop with a variety of clothes and accessories.
"What's this about?!" Lexi snapped, annoyed.
Bulla at least had the decency to smile sheepishly as she forced the 25 year old into a chair.
"Sorry Lexi, but we couldn't resist," she replied.
"What are you talking about?" the pure blood Saiyan snarled.
"You're kidding right?"
Lexi turned, glaring at the smirk on Bulma's face.
"You're the first pure blood female Saiyan I've ever met," the older woman quipped, her smirk widening. "I couldn't miss this chance to dress you up!"
"Dress me up?! I'm not a doll!" Lexi exclaimed in comical anger.
"Relax!" Bulma drawled, looking through a pile of clothes she had personally picked out. "We'll probably find something you'll like."
Lexi would have responded with a snarky retort if she wasn't staring at the thin piece of fabric now in Bulma's hand with open horror, her face beginning to turn red, her silver eyes wide and her mouth nearly hanging open.
"W-what the heck is that?!" the pure blood Saiyan exclaimed.
"It's lingerie," Bulma replied nonchalantly.
Bulla sweat-dropped at the small piece of fabric, her own face starting to blush. "Don't you think that's going too far Mom? I thought we were just picking out a few costumes!"
"Nope," Bulma responded, her smirk widening dangerously as she slowly approached the horrified female Saiyan.
"She's trying this on whether she likes it or not!"
. . . .
Pan ran down the long district, hastily chasing the trail of ki Bulla and Bulma left behind. How the heck did they get so far without me noticing?!
"NOOOOOOOO!"
Pan slid to a stop, her black eyes narrowed. People around her paused at the scream, wondering what was happening.
"That was Lexi's voice..." the quarter Saiyan muttered, before taking off. Crap! I'm I too late?
. . . .
Comical tears ran down Lexi's face, slightly traumatized as Bulma loomed over her shaken form. "Please... No more..."
Under Bulma and Bulla's tight grip, Lexi went through a variety of different costumes. They had already forced her to try nearly all of the lingerie and bikinis in the store, and had made her try on Bunny suits, Lolita Dresses, a skimpy pirate costume - Where Bulla found that she had NO idea - and even the virgin sweater, which she actually kind of liked, even if it was a bit too revealing.
And now they had just forced her into a black Neko keyhole lingerie set, complete with black thigh highs and a pair of cat ears. I don't know how long I can endure this!
"Uh... I think you've done enough mom," Bulla commented nervously, feeling sorry for the female Saiyan.
An evil cackle escaped past Bulma's lips as she stared down at the pure blood Saiyan, not noticing her daughter getting distracted by a sight that made her eyes widen with fear as she began to cower on the spot.
"Oh no, I'm not done yet!" the older woman drawled, making Lexi squeak.
"Uh... m-mom..."
Bulma ignored Bulla, grinning down at Lexi, who was sat on her knees, glaring up at Bulma with her face red in embarrassment, trying her best to cover herself. "Now, give me a little meow!"
"What?! NO WAY!" Lexi snapped comically, her tail lashing about in irritation.
"M- Mom!"
"Oh come on," Bulma whined, before smiling innocently at the woman, winking at her with her arms behind her back. "If you do, I promise to stop."
"Like I believe that!" Lexi growled. "You're clearly hiding more of this stuff behind your back!"
"MOM!"
"What?!" Bulma snapped, turning to Bulla in annoyance. Things were just getting good!
She quickly noticed the comically terrified look on her daughter's face, who was shaking like a leaf in front of her, and turned her attention to what had the halfling so scared.
The colour immediately drained from the older woman's face and she found herself shaking in comical fear along with her daughter.
Pan stared at the two woman in burning irritation, angry veins pulsing all over her face as she stared a fiery hole through the cerulean haired duo, the black winter cap she wore casting a shadow over her blazing dark eyes.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" the black-haired teen snarled through her teeth.
"U-uh..." Bulla stuttered.
Bulma sweat-dropped at the anger rolling off Pan. "S-Sorry for ditching you... hehehehe..."
The next thing Bulla and Bulma knew, they were nothing more than a pile of bodies on the floor, smoke trailing from the huge lumps protruding from their foreheads, agonized groans escaping past their lips.
Pan ignored them and approached Lexi, extending a hand to help the still slightly traumatized Saiyan woman back up onto her feet.
"I'm sorry," the quarter Saiyan apologized. "I should have kept more of an eye on those two. I didn't think they'd pull a fast one on me like that."
"Those two..." Lexi snarled, staring down at the very little clothing she was wearing and shivering at the sight. "They're evil!"
"Believe me, I know," Pan replied with a sweat-drop, trying her best to not remember the time Bulma and Bulla trapped her in the exact same way. It was her mother who saved her that day. Pan winked at the pure blood Saiyan, smiling at her. "If it makes you feel any better, you look cute!"
"It doesn't make me feel any better, but thank you," Lexi retorted sarcastically, unamused.
Pan chuckled.
"Come on. Let's get you out of these and I'll help you find some proper clothes!"
. . . .
The sun was setting when the four women returned to the Briefs Residence, tired and exhausted from a long day of clothes shopping. Despite being nearly traumatized by Bulma and Bulla's antics, Lexi enjoyed her day with the three women. She brought a rooms worth full of clothes that left her satisfied. She even brought the virgin sweater!
They exited Bulma's car and was greeted by the sight of Trunks leaning against the entrance with a smirk.
"Well, look who survived hell," the lavender-haired boy quipped, his smirk widening smugly as Lexi growled viciously in response, a vein throbbing with anger on her forehead.
His blue eyes suddenly widened, and he had to push himself off the door frame to avoid the pair of red high-heels that had been launched at him.
"What was that for?!" he snapped, watching as the full blooded Saiyan stomped towards him with a snarl.
"Those two women you call a mother and a sister are demons in disguise!" Lexi snapped, pointing at Bulma and Bulla. Bulma whistled innocently, while Bulla waved at her brother with a nervous chuckle. Pan simply facepalmed. Lexi then poked the taller demi-Saiyan harshly in the chest, her silver eyes burning with annoyance. "And you didn't warn me?!"
Trunks smirked at this. "Now where's the fun in that?"
That did it. Trunks swiftly ducked the spinning heel kick that nearly took his head off, and ran off laughing with the angry female Saiyan hot on his heels.
"GET BACK HERE ASSHOLE!"
This was what Vegeta walked out to see, wearing nothing but his blue tights and boots, having been training in the Gravity Chamber.
"Tsk... can't you ladies come back without being so loud for once," he grumbled as he approached Pan, Bulma and Bulla.
He then glanced back towards where Lexi was now chasing Trunks through the orange skies, making the Prince of all Saiyans sweat-drop as the slightly devilish and vindictive female Saiyan resorted to hurling energy beams after the lavender-haired man. His son's screams of terror made his right eye twitch in annoyance, before looking back at Pan with a deadpan look.
"They went overboard again didn't they?" It wasn't a question. More of a statement, like he knew what his two women were capable of when left unchecked.
Pan groaned, confirming his suspicions whilst Bulma glared at him.
"What's with the baseless accusations huh?" she retorted, placing her hands on her hips. "And I hope you haven't been in that chamber all day!"
Vegeta rolled his eyes.
"You should be more concerned with whether or not you haven't scarred the poor girl," the former Prince grumbled, easily picking up the bags of clothes Lexi had dropped and carrying them inside.
"Again with the accusations!"
"They're not accusations. I know you too well woman."
Pan sighed as she and Bulla watched the two bicker with each other as they entered the house.
"We should do this again sometime," Bulla commented.
"Yeah," Pan agreed. Smiling at her long time friend. "Let's just hope you don't try to traumatize Lexi again next time."
"Hey! That was all my mom's fault!"
"Bet it was your idea though."
"I would never!"
As the night sky began to blanket the burning rays of the setting sun, close friends and family alike swarmed into a cosy house, exchanging laughter and enjoying the moment, not worried about the unpredictability tomorrow would bring.
Not as chaotic as I would have wanted it to be for this type of chapter, but here's to the first chapter of Dragon Ball Legacy Chronicles! HOORAY! :)
'Goodbye and Goodnight!'
