Chapter 1: Come Forth: Fódlan Star

Also, major spoilers for both RWBY & Fire Emblem: Three Houses, specifically the Verdant Wind Route. If you haven't caught up with either of them, it's recommended that you catch up with both of them before reading this story.

The Battle of Garreg Mach rages on as Emperor of the Adrestian Empire: Edelgard Von Hresvelg gives the signal to send thousands of troops heading towards the Officers Academy. Edelgard & the Black Eagle House betrayed their fellow classmates & teachers, with Edelgard declaring war on The Church of Seiros. Despite her young age, she shows immense skill in both power & warfare, making her a powerful opponent to face, defeating her for good was proven to be no easy task.
Byleth Eisner, one of the professors of the Officers Academy & homeroom teacher of The Golden Deer House stands on top of one of the towers of Garreg Mach Monastery, with her Sublime Sword of the Creator ready to be drawn. Byleth is well aware that she will die if she fights so many soldiers of the Imperial Army head on, but she doesn't care. She has a duty to fulfill, protect Garreg Mach Monastery, but most of all, protect her students of the Golden Deer House of the Leicester Alliance.
Byleth has grown very fond of her students, to the point where she considers them her dearest friends… No, her family! With the House Leader in particular: Claude Von Riegan having shown immense care for one another. To the point where Byleth might've even developed stronger feelings for the Almyran Prince of the Leicester Alliance. But Byleth isn't the best at showing her emotions, especially romantic ones, so neither side have developed their bond much further than being a close familial bond. However, before Byleth could act, she's stopped by the Archbishop of the Church of Seiros: Rhea. Despite her many faults, she's still a woman who will give her life to protect The Land of Fódlan from whatever it came, as well as to protect those she held dear. If Rhea couldn't save her mother long ago, she can at least save her allies & friends now. Rhea turns back & looks at Byleth with a soft, motherly smile.
Rhea: Everybody here, young & old, is in your hands.
Byleth is shocked from Rhea intervening like that & is hesitant to leave her on her own in a time like this. While Rhea has done many things that gave Byleth a bad impression, she still admired & respected the Archbishop & although her reasonings to resurrect a goddess into herself was rather selfish. It doesn't change the fact that Byleth quite literally has a life debt to Rhea. So reluctantly, Byleth nods & leaves Rhea on her own.
Rhea stands strong as she watches over the Imperial Army fast approaching & as she does so, she seems to be emitting a greening glow coming from her chest.
Rhea: No!... I will not allow another Red Canyon tragedy to happen here!
In a matter of seconds, Rhea transforms into a giant white dragon. Not just any dragon, but the legendary dragon of Fódlan known as The Immaculate One. Rhea roars as she descends into the battlefield, shocking many people as a giant dragon that seemingly came out of nowhere just landed on the city. While Dimitri doesn't take notices due to being too focused on defending the line, Claude has & he is horrified. It seems that his research was accurate after all, Rhea really isn't a mere mortal. Although he didn't predict the possibility of her being a flipping dragon.
As Byleth is evacuating all of the remaining students, Rhea finally lands in front of the Imperial Army as she roars proudly to make her presence know. The Imperial army try to run away, but Rhea is too powerful. She slams her giant hands that create shockwaves & starts firing mouth lasers at the Imperial Army, managing to deal a powerful blow at the enemy's side. However, her luck is slowly running out as many Demonic Beasts are charging at her. While Rhea can deal with them one at a time, dealing with so many at once proves to be too much for her as the Demonic Beasts jump at her & start pinning her down & taking shots at her.
Byleth takes notice of Rhea's situation & runs to help her as the Demonic Beasts slam her to the walls, thinking of burying themselves while holding Rhea down. Thankfully, Byleth arrives on time as she extends her Sword of the Creator & kills one of the Demonic Beasts, allowing Rhea to use one of her free arms to throw one of the Demonic Beasts into a ravine & threw 2 more to the ground just in time to be crushed by the crumbling walls. Now that she's free to move around, Rhea takes flight & escapes the same fate as those 2 Demonic Beasts. Byleth then sees The Immaculate One from up close as she speaks her worry about Byleth's decision to come help her.
The Immaculate One: Why did you come?
Before Byleth could answer, she spots more Imperial Troops alongside the leader of TWSITD (Those who Slither in the Dark). The latter of which fires a dark magic spell at Byleth, sending her off close to the ravines. Rhea tries to go help Byleth, but more Demonic Beasts appear & hold her back as the ground bellow Byleth crumbles & falls into the ravine bellow. The last thing Byleth hears before she falls to her unfortunate demise is Rhea roaring, as if she's both crying for help as well as in shame for failing to aid Byleth, as she falls into the abyss below, taking her life. In a great white abyss, Byleth slowly regains consciousness as she starts to hear a voice calling for her name.
Unknown Voice: Byleth… Byleth! BYLETH!
Byleth then regains consciousness as she sits back up & starts panting heavily as she looks around completely confused. At one moment she was in Garreg Mach, but another she's now… HERE… whatever this here may be, she doesn't know… But then she looks behind her & sees a small child with long green hair. This is Sothis, the Goddess of Fódlan & the reason why Byleth was able to live her life.
Sothis: Urgh… Finally, you idiot! You have me worried sick!
Byleth hasn't seen Sothis since they fully merged a few months prior. While Byleth isn't known for being emotional, she doesn't hesitate to hug her old friend, with tears forming in her eyes.
Byleth: S- Sothis! I can't believe it, I-… I thought I would never see you again…
Sothis blushes from Byleth's sudden act of kindness, but she doesn't push Byleth away. She kinda liked being embraced by the young mercenary & like Byleth, she missed the other one's company as well. Byleth then let go of her & wipes off her tears.
Byleth: So… where are we?
Sothis gets up alongside Byleth before answering her question.
Sothis: I don't know… After you fell into that ravine, we suddenly ended up here. One thing's for sure, this isn't that abyss where you & I first met last year.
Byleth: "Fell into that ravine?..." Wait-
Byleth asks confusingly as she then remembers her falling after being attacked by that man from TWSITD, her head hurts a little as she vaguely remembers the events of what just happened mere moments ago.
Byleth: But if I fell into that ravine & I ended up here… Does that mean that I- or WE rather… have died?
As Byleth asks that question, they hear a voice strikingly similar to her own voice.
Unknown Voice: The answer is yes & no… While you have indeed died, this white void is not the afterlife… But this isn't an illusion or a dream either…
Byleth & Sothis then spot the figure at where the voice came from & what they see is unbelievable to say the least. They see another Byleth, much like the one we're following. But this Byleth is a little taller & is wearing what appears to be an outfit early similar to Rhea's, as if she was an archbishop herself. Byleth then draws her sword & points at the unknown Byleth.
Byleth (VW):Who are you?! & Why do you look just like me?
The other Byleth holds out her hand as if she's saying that she's no threat.
Byleth (AM): Please, do not be threatened… I am not your enemy; I am merely here to guide you.
Sothis looks at the other Byleth confusingly. For one: there's now 2 Byleths, both of which are just as gorgeous & voluptuous as the other & two: this Byleth seems very different from the Byleth Sothis has befriended & not just for the different attire either.
Sothis: "Help us"? What exactly do you mean by that?
Byleth (AM): Allow me to answer your questions one by one first… For your first answer: this is The Great Abyss. This is a realm where many different worlds & possibilities are connected into one another. Although for most, it is an otherworldly bridge between the world of the living & the world of the dead.
Byleth then starts lowering her sword as the presence of the Byleth standing before them is to serene & gentle to be considered a threat.
Byleth (VW): The Great Abyss?... So I'm dead after all… But why am I not in the afterlife?
Byleth (AM): That is because your death went against the flow of time of which you came from, the fact that you have not only been separated from Sothis, but also kept your bodies is proof that your death… Or deaths rather, were not suppose to happen the way it did… So we have brought you here to try & resolve this issue.
Sothis: I… I see… & Who are you exactly?
The other Byleth then puts a hand on her chest & bows down before Sothis & our own Byleth.
Byleth (AM): My name is Byleth Eisner, but I am not the same Byleth as you. Like I've previously mentioned, I come from one of many possibilities. In your possibility, you have sided with Claude & the Leicester Alliance. But in my possibility, I have sided with Dimitri & the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus… More specifically, I come from a point in time where the 5-year war of Fódlan has been resolved by a few years now.
Sothis: Hang on… You're from a different world? Is that even possible?!
Byleth then thinks for a moment before answering her fellow goddess.
Byleth (VW): Now that I think about it, this doesn't sound as unbelievable as it may seem now that I have the context. Our own world is filled with many fantasies after all & you yourself are a goddess.
As Sothis turns away blushing embarrassingly, Byleth then takes notice of what this Byleth from another world have just told her.
Byleth (VW): Hang on, did you say "we"? As in there's someone else here?
As she asks that, a male voice comes from behind her.
Male Voice: That is correct, Fell Star.
Byleth & Sothis look behind as they see another Byleth. But this one is taller & more importantly, this particular Byleth is Male. He's wearing an attire that resembles that of an archbishop & a member of Imperial Royalty, specifically from Adrestia.
Byleth (CF): Like the 2 of you, I am Byleth Eisner, one from a possibility far different from your own. In my possibility, I have sided with Edelgard & the Adrestian Empire.
That shocked both Byleth & Sothis, in horror of thinking that there was a possibility where they sided with Edelgard, who's partially the reason there in this situation. With Sothis in particular being very upset about the news.
Sothis: What?!... Dude!... Do you have any idea what our Edelgard has just done?! She sent a massive army charging to our school & because of both that & that guy who worked for TWSITD, we're now dead & stuck in this white void of nothingness!
The Male Byleth bows down for both Byleth & Sothis.
Byleth (CF): My humblest apologies, while that particular Edelgard isn't the one I have sided with, I still feel responsible for what happened.
Before Sothis could throw another tantrum, Byleth stops her & lays a hand on her shoulder, as if she's saying that it's alright for the moment. Sothis relents as she looks away for a moment before Byleth asked one more question.
Byleth (VW): Okay… So, now that we have all introduced ourselves, I have to ask… If I'm now dead, but my dead happened in the wrong time. Does that mean the 2 of you will bring me back to life & let me live in my own world?
The other two Byleths look at one another with somber looks before the male one spoke while shaking his head.
Byleth (CF): I'm afraid not, we do not have the power required to send you back to your own world & revive you… No, we've taken you here for a proposal.
Byleth is very saddened about the news. It appears that there's seemingly no way to go back to her own world, meaning that Claude & everyone else will have to fend off against the Imperial Army & this accursed war all by themselves, which makes her very upset… But with that said, this proposal does interest her a little bit.
Byleth (VW): What kind of "proposal"?
The female Byleth from another world approaches our own Byleth.
Byleth (AM): While we cannot send you back to your own world, we can however send you somewhere else… However, this world will be nothing like the one the 3 of us are familiar with.
Byleth looks at her counterpart confusingly before the other counterpart continues himself.
Byleth (CF): This different world is known as "Remnant." It is a mystical land not so different from Fódlan, but it is far more advanced, to the point of magic being next to non-existent. What it does have however are many things… I suppose that it is best to share some of its wonders to you… If you allow me to do so, that is.
The male counterpart extends his hand to Byleth, while she's questionable about this whole situation in general, she relents as she takes his hand & suddenly, a burst of knowledge comes bursting through her mind. Huntsmen & Huntresses, Kingdoms, Dust, Humans, Faunus, Semblances, The Creatures of Grimm & so much more, to the point that Byleth is screaming in agony as she's witnessing all of this firsthand. But before things get any worse, the male Byleth lets go of his female counterpart, who falls to her knees & holds her head in pain & starts panting heavily. Sothis goes to see if her friend is alright.
Sothis: BYLETH! Are you okay?!
As Byleth is slowly getting up, Sothis glares back at the male counterpart.
Sothis: You unreasonable fool! What have you done to her?!
Byleth (CF): Worry not, Sothis. I have merely gifted your own Byleth with knowledge of the World of Remnant… But I haven't given her ALL that there is to know, since what I have given to her already was enough for her to have a small headache.
As he says that, Byleth recovers from that little knowledge storm.
Byleth (VW): I can't believe it… Kingdoms, Faunus, Dust, Grimm… So much knowledge! How have you acquired all of this information?
The male counterpart of Byleth simply smirks as he responds.
Byleth (CF): Let us just say that I have some "free time" for myself after the war
Byleth looks at her male counterpart with a deadpanned expression, not buying what he just said.
Byleth (VW): Riiiight… But why exactly have you given me all of this knowledge? What am I supposed to do with it?
That is when the other female Byleth steps back into the conversation once again.
Byleth (AM): The question is what you CHOOSE to do with it… If you accept our offer, you will be sent to Remnant, reborn in a new body… & A chance to live a new life for yourself… That said, if you do not wish to take this opportunity, we could just send you to the afterlife instead, if that is what you want…
Byleth thinks for a moment. While this is definitely very crazy, being able to be reborn DOES have its benefits. Even if it's not in her own world, she can at least start anew… however, if she has learned anything from Claude is to always ask questions when you can & to never fully trust anyone from the get-go & So, she looks at her older female counterpart & presses forward.
Byleth (VW): While this sounds like a good deal, I know it won't come from me… So, what's the catch?
The 2 Byleths counterparts looked at each other, very surprised that this Byleth is far more calculating than they themselves were when they were around her "age".
Byleth (AM): Ever the wise one, eh?... But you're correct, there is indeed a contract involved. To put it simply, Remnant is in a brink of war. The 4 Kingdoms that have lived in peace for the last 8 decades are about to get into a great conflict that will decide the fate of that world & all of those who live in it. Her name is "Salem: The Dark Goddess".
As Byleth & Sothis begin to hear this story, the latter scoffs & remarks.
Sothis: Pff, Really? "The Dark Goddess"? That's a cheesy name.
Byleth then smirks & chuckles a little as she looks down at her fellow divine friend.
Byleth (VW): That's rich coming from miss "Sothis: The Beginning".
Sothis blushes as she angrily elbows Byleth in the stomach, it didn't hurt that much since Byleth was built like a tank & Sothis isn't physically powerful. Anyways, the older female Byleth continues her story.
Byleth (AM): Anyways… While I could just tell you the full story behind this demon, it would take a lot of time & we don't have enough of it. All you need to know that Salem is a powerful sorceress that has terrorized Remnant from the shadows from thousands of years. Many have tried to take her down, but many have failed… But this next one MIGHT be the one who finally does the trick.
She then opens her palm & creates a hologram of a little girl with short red hair, wearing red hooded cape & an attire with the colors of black, red & some white. Her most defining traits are her bold, gorgeous Silver Eyes.
Byleth (AM): This is Ruby Rose. A 15-year-old girl who is on her way to become a huntress, just like her mother beforehand. While she certainly has the potential to stop this threat, she's still very unprepared… While she will gain many allies throughout her adventure, she will also gain many enemies in this war. If possible, we would like you to guide this young maiden & aid her in this upcoming war… Whichever way you wish to help her exactly is up to you, however.
Byleth & Sothis look at the hologram of this Ruby girl, while Byleth is rather interested in her, Sothis is not very impressed.
Sothis: Oh please, as if a small child like that could ever hope to win a war, let alone defeat a magical "goddess". Why should we believe any of this in the first place? For all we know, we might actually be alive, but TWSITD found Byleth's body & put us into a deep slumber that causes powerful illusions
All 3 Byleths look at Sothis astonished from hearing what she just said, she clearly has quite the powerful imagination. But the Byleth she is familiar with tries to reassure her.
Byleth (VW): Look Sothis, I know this sounds like-… Actually, no! This IS a very crazy thing we're experiencing right now… But what if it's true? What if we have indeed died & these 2 are indeed the mes from other worlds & can indeed revive us into another world? I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to accept death!… Not yet anyways…
Sothis thinks for a moment & considers what her own Byleth has just said. What if what the other 2 Byleths saying is indeed true? What if they can actually be revived? Then again, she's a goddess herself & Fódlan is weird enough as it is, so while this is indeed all crazy, it's not COMPLETELY out of the realm of possibility… ALMOST! Not to mention, the last time they were in a similar situation, not only was Byleth not ready to accept death herself, but she herself didn't want to die. Which is why she lend her full power to Byleth so that they could keep on living. If they just tossed their possibly last chance of living, that would make all of the sacrifices they've made thus far meaningless. She looks back at Byleth & gives her a reassuring, confident smile.
Sothis: Alright… I trust you Byleth. Whatever decision you make, I'll stand beside you!
Byleth then kneels down to Sothis' level & hugs her.
Byleth (VW): Thank you Sothis.
Sothis blushes at Byleth's kind gesture, but unlike last time, she returns the embrace & hugs Byleth tightly. The 2 counterparts watch the 2 embrace one another, grateful that there was at least ONE possibility where Byleth reunites with Sothis. The 2 then let go of one another as Byleth looks back at her counterparts.
Byleth (VW): Alright then… I accept your offer!
Both of her counterparts smile softly at her decision as the male one goes to her.
Byleth (CF): You do, huh? Now that was rather unexpected. But if I may ask, why exactly did you accept this rather immense task? It cannot be just because of the chance to walk in the mortal realm, do you have some other motives, perhaps?
Byleth then smiles before answering.
Byleth (VW): As a matter of fact, I do. It's like what the older me with the Blue Lions said, there's a war about to come & this girl needs help. I may have failed to helped my own students for the war that has just begun in my own world, but if I have the chance to stop another one, then I won't waste it!... I won't fail again! I know Claude isn't the most righteous person ever, if anything, he's a bit of a jerk. But I know he would want to help these people in whatever way he could… For better or for worse, I'm sure he'd understand this & respect my decision. All I can hope is that both himself & the other Golden Deers can handle themselves without my guidance…
Sothis: Hah! I highly doubt that anything could stop those little brats considering who tutored them, I have faith in those kids.
Byleth looks away blushing from Sothis' comment as the 2 counterparts prepare to send both Byleth & Sothis to Remnant.
Byleth (CF): I see… So that is your reasoning… There's a cost however, regarding Sothis. Because she has gained a body of her own, her powers are severely weakened, so she might not have the ability to rewind time like you could back at Fódlan & since you 2 are now separated, that means that you yourself cannot rewind time either, nor do we have enough power to fix that issue. Can you both live with that?
The both of them have their jaws dropped at this last-minute reveal. While Byleth just groans & facepalms in annoyance, Sothis is a little more vocal about this revelation.
Sothis: WHAT?! You dirty playing pests, you only told us about this now?! Don't you think that's important information?!
Both counterparts just chuckle from Sothis' reaction, it was clear that they told them about this small detail at the last minute on purpose just to screw with them a little bit before the big mission. Byleth just shakes her head in annoyance.
Byleth: Heavens above, this is gonna be an issue… Alright, fine! No more rewinding time, got it!... I'm ready when you are.
Sothis calms down as she stands beside Byleth.
Sothis: As am I, I just hope we don't come to regret this decision later on.
Byleth (AM): That will not be the case, I'm sure you both will have a lot of fun. Now then, let us begin! Close your eyes & clear your minds.
Byleth & Sothis do just that as the 2 counterparts begin chanting in Latin as the surround both Byleth & Sothis in a magical barrier, after a while, they suddenly disappear as if they were never there to begin with. Both counterparts look above, silently wishing their own counterpart & her Sothis the best of luck.
The World of Remnant. It is a magical place where Human & Faunus live with one another. However, the people are constantly pushed back by the Creatures of Grimm, soulless monsters who hunger for powerful lifeforms. To counter those disgusting beasts, mankind discovered Dust, powerful elemental energy that can be used as a weapon if it's well maintained, those who are the most skilled in using Dust are the Huntsmen & Huntresses that protect the people of Remnant. Brave warriors who travel around the world, saving anyone who they come across, or stay in their own land & fight to preserve said land & its people.
Our story begins late at the Kingdom of Vale at night, March 20th of Valean Year 1180, where a trio of small bullheads fly through the skies. Is that at this moment where our titular heroine arrives, parkouring herself from rooftop to rooftop at Petal Bursting speed until she lands at one of the taller rooftops. This is Ruby Rose, she has short, spiky red hair & bold silver eyes. She's wearing a black long-sleeved blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, over which is a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, & a matching combat-skirt with red lining. She's also wearing a pair of thick black stockings & black combat boots with red laces, red trims around the top, and red soles. She also wears a belt which contains both a bag for her sniper cartridges & some extra bullets, topping it all off with a long red hooded cape which is wrapped around her neck & pinned by her silver rose emblem which she has inherited from her deceased mother.
Ruby: Yosha! Now this is a good view! Huh?
Ruby then looks down to see a few police cars running through the streets, coincidently heading towards the same direction from those bullheads that just flew by mere moments ago. Ruby descends back to the sidewalks as she looks on, curious to know what was going on.
Ruby: What's going on? Should I go there & check it out?
Ruby thinks for a moment before acting, she received a call from Ozpin: The Headmaster at Beacon, to meet him at Vale at that night, if Ruby goes after those cops to learn what's going on, she might be late for the meeting. But Ruby just shrugs without worry.
Ruby: Nah~! I'll be only late for about 5 to 10 minutes, I'm sure he'd understand.
Ruby then smirks as she blasts through the streets at the directions the police cars were heading, wanting to get into some Huntress goodness. In a Dust shop, a few thugs led by an orange-haired man with a white suit, a fedora & a cigarette alongside a hooded figure with a mask were raiding the place. The shopkeeper told them that they could have the money, but they were after the Dust, so they were stealing that instead. As they were beginning to leave, the police were already there to arrest them.
Cop: Freeze! Drop all of your stolen gatherings & put your hands in the air! You're all under arrest!
The man in the white suit just sighed as he finished smoking. But before he could act, the hooded figure extended her arm & stopped him.
Hooded figure: I'll take care of these lost souls; you just take your men & Dust to somewhere safe.
The man in the white suit then looks around & see more cops coming, knowing that he can't take this many policemen & policewomen at once, he relents.
Man in the white suit: I wanted to avoid any needless bloodshed & make this a "peaceful" robbery, but very well "Fall Empress", give them hell.
The hooded figure, now referred to as "The Fall Empress", stepped forward & extended one of her hands towards the police force. She envelops her hand with fire & while the cops were ready to fire, the Fall Empress kindly responds by firing at their cars, causing a big explosion. The impact blew all of the cops away & anyone who were near those explosions were either gravely wounded or died. As the Fall Empress took care of the enemy, the robbers climbed up the roofs & were about to flee. But suddenly, a few sniper shots were heard & took out some of the robbers by getting shot at their ankles, preventing them from fleeing.
Robber: Argh!
Man in the white suit: What in the-
The man in the white suit quickly turns around to see almost all of his goons down for the count, he looks above & spots the one responsible, a little red riding hood with a scythe.
Ruby: Whoops, looks like I missed one.
The moonlight shines behind Ruby, giving a clearer vision to the man in the white suit & seeing his attacker.
Man in the white suit: Ah, so you must be the one I've been hearing about lately. I heard that Grimm activities in Patch were nearly nonexistent because of a few "Huntresses in Training". Is it safe to assume that you're one of them? According to my reports, one of them was a red-haired girl with a scythe.
Ruby: Oh? So, news about me are already spreading out? Guess I'm doing too good of a job.
Ruby jumps, only to lands on the same roof that the man with the white suit.
Ruby: But by the looks of it, you're pretty popular yourself… "The Underground Raider: Roman Torchwick".
Roman: Ah, so you know about me as well? Well then young lady, I tip my hat to you.
Roman bows before Ruby & tips his head to her, like a true gentleman. But once he's done with introductions, he smirks maliciously.
Roman: But you should also know that you shouldn't mess with me, little girl. I'm quite the dangerous man & you're still a mere child compared to me.
Ruby just smirks as she spins her scythe, ready to fight.
Ruby: A "mere child", huh?... Alright then, let me show you what this "mere child" can do!
Ruby reloads her sniper & charges at Roman at blitzing speed. Roman tries to fire a fire Dust shot at her from his shotgun cane, but right before the bullet connects, Ruby bursts into petals & appears right in-front of Roman, managing to land a hit on him with the blunt edge of her scythe. Roman keeps firing at Ruby more & more, but the young hooded girl is just too fast for his shots to land as she keeps dashing from platform to platform, roof to roof, avoiding Roman's shots like it's nothing, which starts to get on Roman's nerves.
Roman: How fast is this brat?
After a while, Roman has to reload his shotgun cane, which gives Ruby the chance to charge in for another attack. But before she can do anything, some of the standing robbers managed to get up & fire shots at Ruby, causing her to react fast & dodge the incoming bullets & stand against some of the robbers that she either missed earlier or brand-new ones.
Ruby: Yeesh, tough crowd here… Guess I have to take this a little more seriously!
Robber: Get her!
The robbers all charge at Ruby in an attempt to get her. But Ruby jumps above the first charging robber & kicks him in the face, she then plants her scythe in the ground, grabs a tight hold of the grip of said scythe & spined around while kicking the other incoming robbers away. Ruby then landed back on the ground as she takes her scythe back, bursts into petals & dashes through the robbers with supersonic speed & takes them all out with ease, ending it with an elegant, yet edgy pose. Roman was now at higher ground as he watched his men being taken out with such immense skill from someone so young, he can't help but congratulate the young girl & starts clapping his hands to congratulate her for her amazing performance.
Roman: Not bad little girl, not bad at all. I haven't had this much fun for a couple of years now, it's not often that you see someone so young being so good at what they are. Tell me kiddo, what is your name?
Ruby confidently smirks as she points at herself before introducing herself.
Ruby: I'm Ruby, Ruby Rose! I hope you remember that name well, because it'll be the one who'll take you down!
Roman just shakes his head in disappointment as a ship starts to arrive & pick him up.
Roman: Sadly, that won't be the case. I must take my leave, for I have many unattended duties to deal with at the moment… So as a token of respect, here's a parting away gift!
Roman jumps at the small airship & aims his cane at Ruby, thinking that he'll just fire at her. Only for Roman to then aim at an outdoor at the top of one of the buildings, his shots fired at the pillars that were holding up the outdoor & it was about to fall into some injured cops being taken away. Seeing this, Ruby doesn't think twice about dashing towards the cops & take them away before they were crushed.
Ruby: LOOK OUT!
Ruby manages to take the cops away just in time for the outdoor to fall into the floor & lay a few cracks on the floor. If this fell down at the cops, they would've gotten seriously hurt. Ruby gets up as she sees Romans ships already being too far away for her to go chase down.
Ruby: Crapbaskets! they got away…
Injured Cop: Hey…
Ruby turns to the cops she just saved, mainly one of the cops who were injured by that explosion from earlier.
Injured Cop: Thanks for saving us back there, that was a close one.
Ruby softly smiles as she brushes some of her bangs away, but she can't help but feeling a little sad as she sees the gravely wounded cops she just saved.
Ruby: No problem, just doing what feels right… With that in mind, sorry I couldn't make it sooner… This might've been avoided if I have come a little earlier…
Ruby then looks at the outside of the shop, where firefighters were dealing with the flaming cars so that their fire wouldn't spread out & the injured were being taken away by the incoming ambulances, one of the cops go & lay a comforting hand on Ruby's shoulder, trying to reassure her that it was alright.
Cop: It's alright young lady, what you've done was more than enough & it seems that the ones who couldn't get away are now being arrested, thank you for your help.
That made Ruby feel a little better knowing that she at least managed to help the ones she managed to save.
Ruby: Thank you officer, while I wish I could stay & help with the injured as well, I gotta get going for a meeting which I'm hopefully not very late for, stay safe!
Ruby gives the cops a thumbs up as she storms out in high speeds until the cops couldn't see her anymore, one of them waved off to the young Huntress in training biding her good luck. Unfortunately for Ruby, she has taken a little too much time with that little altercation & she was now about a few minutes late, so she had to speed up.
Ruby: Ah blast it all! I took too freaking long with those guys, I hope Ozpin is as kind & generous as Dad & Uncle Qrow said, otherwise I'm dead!
Right as Ruby was about to reach her destination, a giant beam of light comes out of nowhere & almost hits the young reaper. She leaps back & looks at the giant beam of light slowly dissipate, only to reveal two figures. A small child with long green hair & a rather skintight attire & a young woman with short blue hair, a black coat being used as a cape & large chest & hips. Ruby watches on in confusion not knowing who these 2 are. Little did she know that the 2 figures that have suddenly appeared in-front of her out of nowhere would be the ones who'd change her life forever. The figures are Byleth Eisner & Sothis, beings from a completely different world.
Sothis: Okay, that took a lot longer than it needed. Do you think it worked out?
Byleth then looks around a little bit & is in awe of what she's witnessing. Large buildings, lights everywhere, vehicles all over the place. This world is nothing like the fantastical medieval setting that was the land of Fódlan.
Byleth: I believe so, yeah. This world looks so… Evolved!...
Byleth then spots Ruby & the moment they locked eyes, Byleth knew that she was the one she was looking for. Spiky red hair, bold silver eyes, long hooded cape, she has all of the requirements checked out. The story of the Verdant Star of Remnant begins now.

Author's Notes: Hey guys, this work is an idea originating from TPoynt from Fanfiction . net, they were looking for someone to write a Fire Emblem RWVY crossover & i asked if i could write it for them & they said yes. So i decided to write it, i had alot of fun & i hope this becomes a longterm thing. i'm very excited to see where this goes & i also recommend checking out TPoynt's stuff at Fanfiction .
