It was another sunny day in Adventure Bay as the pups were getting ready for another day of training for missions. Each of the pups were taking part in various forms of training and exercise in order to be ready for any problem that comes their way. Five of them were currently in the Lookout's sparring room, where they would practice their combat skills, should the need for them arrive. The two combatants were Everest and Tracker, who sat in their respective corners of the room's boxing ring, ready to spar with each other.
Everest was dressed in light blue boxing gloves, a matching tank top with a snowflake on the front, and blue boxing boots. In her corner was Skye, who was massaging her shoulders to loosen her up a little. Tracker wore a pair of jungle green boxing gloves, a camo tank top, and matching boots. In his corner was Rocky, who put in his mouth guard. Chase, who would be serving as ref for this bout, waved them to the center of the ring, "Alright pups, this will be a three-round spar. Winner will be determined by K.O. or T.K.O. No cheating, now low blows, and no biting. Are we in agreement?" he asked, receiving nods as a response, "OK, get ready." he said before climbing out of the ring and stationing himself at the bell.
Both boxing pups got in their ready stances and wished each other luck for the match. Chase rang the bell and their first round was underway. Everest started out by throwing two jabs in Tracker's direction, which were batted away and met with a hook to the nose. Everest staggered back and kept her defense while Tracker tried hitting with a left jab and a right uppercut to the chin. Everest tried countering with a thee-combo to the belly and chest, only for Tracker to dodge and hit her with a hook to the cheek. He then tried to follow up with an uppercut, but Everest dodged and managed to hit him with a straight to the nose.
It was obvious to Tracker that Everest didn't have as much combat experience as he did, which was made apparent by her sudden rush at the start of the round. She tried going in for a hook, but he quickly countered with a cross to the nose and an uppercut to the belly. She backed up once more while he laid into her with a series of attacks to the head, with her only getting a few hits in here and there. Tracker had backed Everest into the ropes and proceeded to work her belly with some jabs while she shot out a few hits to the head. She could've been knocked down if the bell hadn't rung.
Tracker sat in his corner while Rocky fanned him, he was a bit worried about Everest, but he knew she would improve eventually. Everest received water from Skye as she rubbed her already bruised belly, she needed to take things slow and not rush things. The bell rang to start the second round and Everest took her time and watched Tracker for any openings, which he provided by throwing a straight, which was blocked and countered with a hook to the side. Everest kept going with a series of punches to the head and a few to the belly. Tracker wasn't going to let her off easy however, and fought back with some hard jabs to the nose and a hook to the cheek, making Everest stumble.
Tracker went in for a jab, only for Everest to recover and counter with a jab of her own, hitting Tracker in the jaw. She continued to lay into him with various jabs and hooks before landing an uppercut that tripped him up before making him fall on his back. Everest went to a corner while Chase began the count, stopping at five before Tracker got up. Everest was clearly excited that she got the first knockdown, with Tracker complimenting her before getting back into his stance and resuming the fight. Everest struck first with a jab to Tracker's belly, while also being hit with a hook from him. Both pups were sent stumbling before getting back in their stances.
Everest managed to get in two more jabs before being hit with a few hooks and an uppercut before Tracker countered with a one-two punch to the nose and a straight to the belly. The bell rang shortly after, ending the round. Everest received water from Skye, thinking that she might be able to win by K.O. if she kept this up. Meanwhile, Tracker's bruises were being tended to by Rocky, all while deciding that it was time to go all out. The bell rang to begin the final round and Everest decided to strike first with a jab to the belly, only to be countered with a hook to the cheek. Tracker didn't let up, throwing two jabs to the nose, another hook to the side, and a cross to the chin.
Everest once again found herself on the defensive, trying to find a way to get past Tracker's assault. As she tried to throw a hook, she was caught off guard by an uppercut to her belly and a cross to the nose that sent her to the mat. Through hazy vision, she managed to get up at six. Tracker threw a jab at her head, only for Everest to dodge and strike his side with a hook. Everest regained control of the match, hitting Tracker with a few punches to the nose and chest. It didn't last long at Tracker stopped her in her tracks with an uppercut to the chin that sent her reeling. He capitalized on the opportunity by laying into her with many punches to the head, pushing her back towards the ropes.
Tracker finished off his combo by launching an uppercut to the chin that easily slipped past Everest's defenses, sending her to the mat for a second time. Everest was seeing stars when Chase began the count, only blinking out of her daze at five. She tried to get up, but the pounding in her head from Tracker's punches wouldn't let her. The count of ten was reached and Tracker was declared the winner. He then helped Everest up and congratulated her on a good fight, right before leaving the room to join the other pups for a well-deserved break.
