Duel 1-

Harry and Ron vs Malfoy and Nott. (Takes place during the Half Blood prince.)

Harry had been walking towards his potions, thinking about trying one of the spells written in his potions book when he was stopped by Malfoy and another small and mean looking boy, whose name was Nott.

'What do you want, Malfoy?' asked Harry irritably. He had just been shouted upon, and was not in a very good mood.

Malfoy did not seem to notice Harry's question. He smirked cruelly.

'Potter here,' Malfoy drawled in his customary fashion, turning towards his friend. 'Thinks he is some prodigy just because he cheats his way through the potions class.'

Harry snarled loudly and drew his wand. 'Shove off, Malfoy. Or should I remind you who defeated your daddy dear and sent him where he belonged?'

Malfoy sneered, as he and his friend drew their own wands in response. 'You took him out on the back, without honour Potter. Though I hardly expected better from a half blood like you.'

Curses flew as Harry dueled two at once. Some spells he recognized, some he didn't. As he dodged one nastly looking purple spell from Nott's wand, he pointed his wand towards the blond ferret and shouted. 'Expelliarmus.'

The red jet of light that left from his wand and travelled towards Malfoy, but a translucent blue shield conjured by Nott saved him. Harry dodged behind one of the metal suits of armour in the hallway, as the two slytherins continued their assault.

'Too scared to face us like a real man, Potter?' Nott shouted as several spells struck the armour.

Harry jumped from behind his cover, three spells leaving his wand. 'Expelliarmus, Incarcerous, Stupefy.' As Nott was disarmed and bound by thick ropes, Draco flicked away the stunner Harry had sent towards him.

Draco freed Nott, while keeping up his assault somehow. Harry was surprised Draco had held up to him for that long. Draco had hardly been one of the best duellists, and as far as Harry knew, he was no better than the average Hogwarts sixth year.

Draco seemed to notice what Harry was thinking. 'My aunt taught me some spells to put half bloods in place, Potter.'

Harry had no doubt who the aunt was. The very mention of Bellatrix Lestrange had his ears roaring in anger, throwing spells around wildly at the pure bloods. They defended themselves well, and as Harry came away from his anger, he realised something.

He would never beat them alone.

Now it was he who was on defensive, struggling to keep the two Slytherins away from him. A few curses got past his defence, drawing blood. Harry hissed his pain, and curbed his urge to scream in pain. He would fight this alone, and expose Draco for the low death eater scum he was.

'Harry!' The shout distracted him and he turned towards his left side, where Ron stood with his wand drawn. The red head's angered gaze turned to Malfoy and Nott. Both of them had been as startled as him at the arrival of his friend.

Ron engaged Nott in a fight, while Harry now turned to settle scores with Draco. Now longer worried about fighting two at once, Harry threw all he had at Malfoy. The boy slowly started backing away, as Harry's spell continued. Harry did not have a very varied spell variety, unlike Hermione, but the ones he knew, were used effectively by him. It wasn't for vain he was among the best duelers of his generation.

'Depulso!' Harry's voice echoed in the hallway. The blue light struck Malfoy in the chest, and he was blasted away with a loud bang. The boy flew into one of the suits of armour, and fell down, head lolling on the ground.

Harry turned to help Ron, but found Nott already up in the air, held by his ankles. His mouth moved frantically, but no sound came from it.

'Levicorpus and the silencing charm,' Harry observed. 'Good work, mate.' Harry clapped Ron on the back.

Ron smiled sheepishly. 'It was only a fluke, I guess. I used that Levicorpus spell you taught me, and when it met his silencing charm in the middle, I overpowered him in a beam struggle, and his spell reflected back on himself, along with mine hitting him.'

'That just shows you are more powerful than him,' Harry told him. 'How did you find me?'

'That has a long story behind it,' The redhead frowned. 'I reckon we should move away from these Slytherins, and get to the common room. I will tell you there.'
