Disclaimer: I don't own The Loud House.

It was a cold night in Southeastern Michigan. The streets were empty, the lights were out, and the stars and moon were shining brightly on the dark sky.

In a small town of Royal Woods, there's a place who bears 13 people. It's known to be the loudest house of the town. But right now, the only thing you could hear was the snoring of the occupants. Hopping off to dreamland, where there's rarely any concept of reality. They must've been sleeping peacefully.

The atmosphere is so calm, it would feel as if the beds were calling out to their owners, pleading to them to lay on the hay. Until finally, they would all give in.

Yet, there was one.

Lincoln Loud tossed and turned in his bed, the poor boy not being able to sleep. It's been hours past midnight already as said on his digital clock. But his brain would always just plague him with uncontrollable thoughts.

With a frustrated groan, he got up out of bed before rubbing his temples.

"Ugh. Why can't I sleep?" He asked himself, before opening his bloodshot eyes with dark bags underneath.

It's been a year since Ronnie Anne moved away to live with her extended family, while Lincoln was left alone in his town. They managed to maintain a long distance friendship and it was totally worth it, even though it was difficult to do so. Over time, Lincoln sadly lost his interest for her and now he was dealing with other girls- still denying any feelings of anything beyond friendship.

Right now, his mind was plaguing him with the weirdest thoughts. Just like what Clyde used to think of Lori. Lincoln thought about her slight curves, her toned body, how her muscles would flex every time she moved, how her hair would bounce whenever she played-

"Argh! Stop!" Lincoln smacked himself in the forehead, trying to block the thoughts. He knew himself to not be that type of guy who'd dwell on thought like this, but today was different.

Instead, his cruel brain gave him an image. It was her in a dress. Lincoln remembered she wore it for Lucy's poem recital at the Royal Woods theater. Oh how she looked so beautiful when she was feminine-

"Lincoln, what the heck are you thinking! You have Ronnie Anne, and… and she's… she's your sister!" the white haired boy jumped from bed, pacing around the room hoping it would really stop at this point.

"Alright, fuck this." Fed up with his thoughts, Lincoln cursed, making sure it wasn't too loud so nobody could hear. He opened his door and went towards the bathroom.

"Stupid thoughts stupid puberty, stupid-" Lincoln looked to his right, Lynn and Lucy's room was half open for some reason. And there he could see the two girls sleeping, with Lynn snoring loudly as always.

A thought appeared in Lincoln's head and he was tempted to walk towards his older sister. As if there was some sort of magnet bringing him closer to her.

And at the right moment, he then remembered why he was out here, and it wasn't to go check on Lynn. Besides, Lucy could be awake right now and he wouldn't be able to tell. And if Lynn does wake up while he's checking on her, she might snap his neck into half, thinking he's an intruder.

Snapping out of his own brain's treachery, he went back to the hall and towards his destination.

On his way there, he felt conflicted feelings. Lincoln felt a lot of guilt for thinking of Lynn this way. No matter what he did now, he'd always be blinded in a trance on each he sees her. Maybe it was just puberty acting out on his 12 year old body, maybe it was a crush, but Lincoln didn't know but he hoped it wasn't the latter. It was like those times Lincoln and his gang would see Ms. DiMartino walk by the halls of their elementary school, and boy was she a total hottie. She made even the prepubescent guys experience their first boner.

"Dang." Lincoln muttered out, realizing that he missed elementary. He along with everyone else started middle school just a while ago.

He also felt a hint of jealousy whenever he saw his sister hanging out with other boys. Lincoln barely knew about his sisters' love life because he rarely meddled at theirs, unlike them with his. He guessed it was just a girl thing.

But whenever he'd catch a glimpse of her hanging with another guy, even just as a playmate, he would feel his heart beating fast and his blood boil. There was a time where he was at the arcade and he saw Lynn there as well, he had the effort to hide with the help of Clyde. As he stared at her, trying to figure out why she was there knowing she'd prefer to be in courts and pitches, Lynn's friend invited her to play ping pong with their boyfriends.

Boyfriends! Lincoln never knew his older sister had one, yet alone knew she had a crush. He was too bothered to even have fun so he just went back home, leaving a confused Clyde back at the place.

And out of all the things he felt, it was love at the very top.

Lincoln couldn't understand whether it was romantic like Lori and Bobby or brotherly like it should be been. As a boy living with eleven girls, most people would've thought he was used to seeing hot chicks and knew the techniques into avoiding staring into one. But that wasn't really the case, if it were, he would've been sent to therapy or worse.

He loved staring at her, he loved her athleticism, her passion and will…

Lincoln loved her.

"Linc, no." He heard his conscience say.

-as a sister.

"Yes."

Having arrived at the bathroom, he went to the sink to wash his face.

Before he did, he stared at the toilet. Remembering an awkward yet serendipitous moment that happened between them on the first day of the new school year. It still gave him butterflies in his stomach whenever he thought about it.

"Hurry up in there! There's people waiting you know!" Lori shouted from behind the door, feeling impatient.

"Yeah! Hold on, Lori! I'm almost finished." Lincoln replied, feeling the warm water run down his body.

"Lincoln? Wait- whatever! Just tell Lynn to make it quick!" Lori said skeptically at first before realizing what was happening. She didn't care, she just wanted to go to the loo.

"Wait, what?" Lincoln asked before opening the shower curtain. He heard a yelp, and saw Lynn only clad in her jersey- which was lifted up to her neck. Her shorts and underwear were on the floor as he notice her pull her hand out quickly from between her legs, a liquid sticking to her fingers.

"Ah! Sorry!" The boy exclaimed before closing the curtains again, a blush on his pale face. He could remember every fine detail of her body despite only seeing it for a few seconds, and with that though, he could feel his crotch twitching-

Quickly, Lincoln splashed water on his face. Hoping it would erase his memory. Sadly, it didn't. But the good thing was, the water was so cold it turned his dick flaccid. He didn't wanna deal with another boner right now, he just wanted to clear his mind and get some shut eye.

After a while of just standing in front of the mirror he finally got a closer look at his face.

He was blushing a little bit, most probably from his earlier thoughts. His eyes were bloodshot red, as if he snorted cocaine. And water graced his whole face, dripping and falling on the sink. Dark bags were underneath his eyes and it looked similar to a Dracula, Lucy would've loved his look.

The only thing heard was the sound of his soft breathing, his heart finally calmed down after his thoughts died down as well. Finally, he felt like he could get some sleep!

Lincoln went back to his room, a wave of fatigue hitting him and causing him to almost slip. Luckily, he caught his balance in time.

When he arrived in his room, he immediately plopped himself on it. The mattress' springs making him bounce a little for a few seconds. Lincoln could feel his eyes close as he was losing all his senses. Dreamland, here we go!

The last image that popped into his head was a picture of Lynn, smiling genuinely through a camera. She wasn't yielding a smirk, or a mischievous gleam in her eyes, no. It was just her grinning, as if she was having the best day of her life. Oh God, she's so cute.

And with that, he was asleep. A soft smile with a slight blush on his freckled face.

RIIIIIING!

Little did Lincoln know, he slept really late.

So late, it was deathly close to the time for the alarm to go off.

"Morning already!?" He asked himself tiredly. With an irritated growl going out of his mouth, he practically smashed the clock into two. Lincoln then went back to sleep, his head barely touching the pillow as it drooped to the edge of the bed.

He was already falling slowly into unconsciousness until...

"KIDS! WAKE UP! IT'S TIME TO GET READY FOR SCHOOL!"

Lincoln objected. He could've just ignored it for a few minutes, even though he heard all his sisters' footsteps. Surely mom could wait-

"YOU TOO LINCOLN!" Her voice was heard downstairs.

Dang it.

Slowly and irritatingly, he finally got out of bed. Lincoln stomped towards his drawers to get his towel before trudging his way towards the long bathroom line.

Most of his sisters were there by now, some of them half asleep, some of them growing impatient as seen by their mannerisms, and some of them were doing their usual antics.

Lincoln didn't care, he just wanted sleep. His body felt so heavy on his feet. It felt like he could've just stumbled from a little pebble right now. His brain wasn't fully awake as of now, but at the same time he was very aware of his surroundings. It made him feel like he was in a paradox as his heart beat fast and he didn't like it.

"Leni! What's taking you so long?" Luan yelled through the door, though it looked like she was talking to the object, making Lincoln's half conscious mind giggle.

The fatigue he was feeling overwhelmed him, and the boy just couldn't handle it. He was so sleepy, not even the background noises could bother him. Lincoln could literally sleep through a concert at this point!

So he leaned into a wall, feeling his mind fly away as his vision faded slowly to black. To the others, he looked ridiculous. Lincoln partially standing with his head on the something, drool spreading over the surface. It looked disgusting at the same time, and it made the sisters who notice wish they had their phones on them.

"Eugh, Lincoln! Have some class!" Lola exclaimed, her face showing a disgusted frown. Though later on, she smirked. Feeling like she could use this as blackmail against him, but before she could go back to her room to grab her phone, another voice distracted her.

"Ha! I've seen you sleep worse, Lols." A gruff female voice mocked. Lola looked to her side to see Lana in front of her with her arms crossed, oh no she had done it! The girl in pink tackled her twin sister and started fighting her, nobody cared all to much either. In the Loud house, none of them were fazed over things most people would find unusual.

Their fight and mockery against him went barely noticed by Lincoln. At this point, he was already close to dreamland. Not that aware of any of his surroundings at all. Though, he could've sworn Luna took a photo of him since she had her phone with her.

"AH!" A yelp was heard from both a male and a female, along with a THUD!

Everyone went silent, even the twins stopped fighting to see the commotion. But when they really realized what was going on, they either laughed at what was happening or minded their own business.

Lincoln snapped out of his sleep, even more irritated than ever.

Apparently, nobody was kind enough to tell him that he was leaning on a door and not a wall. Now here he was, on the ground and out for his sleep. Lincoln knew it was a dumb idea to sleep in a way that might've caused him to crash, stumble or fall on his knees since the hall in this house during the morning is a danger zone. But he went along with it anyways, because he could.

"What the heck!? Oh, it's just you." A raspy female voice said as she helped Lincoln up.

It could've just been anyone of his sisters, for all he knew. So with a small "Thanks.", he dusted himself and looked at the person who helped him up. Lincoln's head was in sort of a daze so his vision was still blurred.

But he could make out some details- brown hair, freckles, red jersey-

Wait. Red jersey?

Unfortunately for him, it was the girl he's been trying to avoid.

Lincoln wasn't the best actor, nor the best liar. So when he was feeling a certain emotion, almost everyone can tell exactly how he's feeling, especially his family. He blushed and looked away, hating his brain and body for betraying him. God, he hated puberty.

If there ever was a God, his prayers were definitely answered as all his sisters at this point were doing their usual thing now while the girl in front of him already walked away, not without a punch on the shoulder of course.

That little incident snapped him awake in a second, the adrenaline flowing through his veins. Thanks God Lynn wasn't one to notice precise details, not even obvious ones.

So he went back on his line, most of his sisters already finished with their shower and morning routine. So they were already downstairs eating breakfast. Lincoln looked down to see the usual chaos happening at breakfast, and with that, he Ltd out a sigh.

"Just a normal day at the Loud house." He thought before finally getting into the bathroom.

"Sooo, rough morning?" Clyde asked his partner in crime as they both walk to their classes inside the school.

Lincoln's eye bags moved with every blink he made, his eyes still staring at the same direction even when he answered his friend. "Yup."

Aside from the horrible wake up call he had and the awkward moment in the hall, Lincoln also had to deal with his sisters mocking him at the dining table for falling asleep and on the floor. The boy had tough skin, but he just wasn't in the mood for any of their games. So he lashed out accidentally, getting him scolded by his parents.

At least the teasing stopped. And hey, the girls were impressed by his courage too. Even Lynn was, and that was enough to lift his spirits up.

But even then, he was still trying to deny any feelings he had for her. And it was hard to, since on the way to school, they sat next to each other coincidentally.

The atmosphere was tense, and both of them could feel it.

To break the silence, Clyde coughed a little, finally grabbing Lincoln's full attention. The latter was still staring at the front as they navigated their ways through the crowd of kids, but the former knew he was going to listen attentively to what he was about to say.

"Alright, buddy. This isn't you. Tell me what's going on." Clyde requested kindly, putting his hand on his shoulder.

Lincoln clearly knew his friend was using the pity card. He'd get him to confess his problems through that extremely nice, and maybe even close to pleading voice of his. The person who would hear it would feel bad over hiding their issue and Clyde clearly knows it, but its good that he doesn't use it to his advantage.

"Please don't freak out." Lincoln said after a few seconds of remaining silent. Clyde nodded, concern etched on his face. "What would I do without a friend like you?"

Lincoln asked himself, having a 'therapist' friend had its advantages. The white haired boy sighed before hesitantly explaining. "I-"

"Hey Linc and Clyde!" A voice from afar said, before a group of people consisting if 3 girls and 1 boy walked over to them.

As expected, both of the boys saw their friends in a pile outside their lockers waving at them to come by. With smiles on their faces, one being a tired one; they headed to the group.

"Hey Lincoln, you don't look too good." The only girl in the pile, Stella said. Most probably noticing the heavy bags underneath his eyes and the redness of his sclera.

"Yeah, he's got a rough morning." Clyde did Lincoln's work for him, making him smile gratefully at his best friend.

"Well, that sucks. Wanna talk about it? We have plenty of time before class starts." Rusty spoke, "And even more time to talk to ladies." Then he continued, earning him a glare from his friends. Obviously telling him he could do it later and prioritize their friend. "Eh, it can wait " He said with a shrug before looking to Lincoln curiously, wanting to know what his friends issue was.

All of them knew Lincoln had a rough life with ten girls with half of them being in puberty as well as yourself. It must've been really hard, and they knew he could handle it. In most days, he looks normal. As if he didn't just go through another brawl for pizza the night before.

But today, he looked like he was on his death bed waiting for the clock to tick the countdown of his life's last seconds. And it really worried them all.

After a while of walking, they reached their cafeteria. They always take their seats and chat or play until the bell rings. And here is where their fun, definitely not weird chat starts.

"So, what's bothering you Linc?" Clyde asked, asking everybody's one question.

Lincoln opened his mouth before passing to hesitate. They're his friends, he can trust them. But something about this just felt so wrong, so forbidden. Lincoln was certain they'd hate them for what he'll say but he it's not like he could lie his way out. Whenever he did, he'd always end up in a pickle, and Lincoln prefered sauerkraut.

"Come on, bro. We won't judge you or anything." Zach pushed, trying to pry it out of him out of curiosity and concern.

"I-" Lincoln, no! Keep your crush on her a secret. It would feel good taking about it but why not try… a different approach?

"I have a crush on a girl and I don't know how to open up to her." Lincoln let out some breath he didn't even know he was holding in. With most of his buddies being boys, they didn't squeal or hug like what his sisters did. Instead, they'd sometimes tease, or push this to tell more.

"…And I dunno if I should even be crushing on her." He continued hesitantly, hoping they wouldn't see the underlying problem.

Lincoln will try to keep this 'crush' as vague as possible to not raise any suspicions. So questions about her might be his biggest dread at the moment. But he's the "Man with the Plan", he's got this. Just like how he can handle his thoughts.

His friends' faces were mixed with shock and surprise. That made Lincoln giggle, who knew he didn't need too try to be unpredictable at all, he was already a natural! They probably knew about his relationship with Ronnie Anne, but that was in the past. Besides, they were never really official in the first place.

"Ooh. Who's the lucky girl?" Liam smirked, finally breaking the silence. The other people laughed at the question and the tension in the room left once more.

"Yeah, Linc! Who?" Stella asked, for some reason her voice had a hint of hope but Lincoln wasn't sure.

Dang it. He should've known.

"Guys, calm down. We're here to help him first, all that fangirling can come later!" The therapist of the group, Clyde said.

"Now, who wants to help our buddy confess to a girl?" He encouragingly spoke, as if he were an Athletic coach.

"Us!" His friends said, making Lincoln smile. What would they really do without them?

"-Wait, do I look like a girl to you?" Rusty said in response to Clyde's term 'fangirling', making the others laugh, including Lincoln.

"Depends. What're we talking about?" Clyde replied back, before getting some "Ooohs" from his friends and other people around. Rusty casted a scowl and glared towards Clyde for a little while before biting his tongue to not cause a war.

"Alright, so Linc…" Stella spoke up, making everybody look at her. "Can you describe your crush to us?" She asked the question everybody wanted to know, and as soon as she did, everyone focused their attention to Lincoln. Being the center of attraction was something Lincoln was used to, at least they didn't go berserk unlike his sisters.

Rubbing his nape as he sweat nervously, Lincoln made sure to not spill out too much hints that it was his sister. "Well, she's sporty and athletic. Really beautiful, that's for sure." With that, he let out a happy sigh as his friends smirked and leaned closer with eagerness. "Tell us more." Zach said, trying not to keep his composure.

"Yeah, what's she like?" Liam continued, his accent strong. "We have to know how she is so we can help you with a way to confess to her, ya know?" The ladies' man said, waiting for their buddy to respond.

The white top pondered for a while, what could he tell them? As the man with a plan, he should've thought of one fast. But his sleep deprived mind was doing the contrary, fighting against his brain cells to prevent them from functioning normally.

"She's nice, but tough. She's also really strong! I bet she could carry me without any effort at all! That girl is also really against mushy stuff, saying it's more sappy than soap operas." Lincoln emphasized by shaking his head and waving his hands into a 'no, no'.

Then everyone heard Rusty snap his fingers. "Aha! Girls like those like guys who are straight forward!" He said, pointing a finger to Lincoln.

"I'm not really good with girls, but after all those times I've watched movies with my dads, I can safely tell you that Rusty's right." Clyde reassured and defended the red head, earning a nod from the guy.

"That's a first." Liam said, earning a giggle from Stella and Zach and an offended

"Hey!" from Rusty. "Anyways he's right though, I've seen animals in my farm become lovers all because one of them is straight forward. A relationship ain't gonna start unless someone starts it."

"Yeah, just like how we became friends!" Stella reminisced, remembering how she approached the group at first.

"You're Lincoln: the Man with the Plan! You can think of a plan to confess in no time! You just need confidence, which you already have and that big brain o' yours. " Zach encouraged, poking at Lincolnshire forehead for emphasis.

"Yeah, remember when you helped me confess to Emma?" Clyde asked, remembering the plan went perfectly. The only problem was that she rejected him, but that was it.

He should've known sooner so they planned earlier, so the boy blamed himself for that, not his friends.

"But wait, didn't you say something about not crushing on her?" Zach then randomly pointed out, making everyone else contemplate and remember.

Now it was Lincoln's time to talk. With a nervous sigh, he tried to explain but words couldn't escape. How else would you tell your friends your crushing on your sister!?

"Is she waaay older than you like my former crush on Lori? Or is it someone too young like a person that's Lisa's age? Why do you think you can't fall for her?" Clyde queried anxiously, worried for his friend becoming a potential target to pedos or becoming one himself.

"She's in the 8th grade right now, no worries. It's just…I feel like I'm betraying a really important person in my life." His friends sighed in relief when they heard his 1st response, but then got curious when they heard the 2nd.

"And who might this be? It's Ronnie Anne, isn't it?" Zach asked hesitantly, feeling like it could trigger Lincoln.

Rusty didn't even wait for Lincoln's response, seeing how his face already confirmed the question and how thick the atmosphere suddenly was again. "Oh man! I thought you were over her already?"

"I am, but it feels like I'm cheating on her in a way since our bond always felt more." He wasn't entirely lying about that, even though he wasn't attracted to her anymore.

All his friends looked at him in pity before some of them started to form plans to make him forget, again. Just like last time.

"Hey Linc." Stella put a hand on his shoulder. "I may not be too familiar with Ronnie Anne, but I'm pretty sure she'd understand if you had somebody else to love."

"Yeah. I mean, after all you guys are just 'friends '." Clyde said, emphasizing the friend part.

"And if she doesn't, we'll still be here to support you." Liam said, patting his back.

Lincoln felt happy that his friends were on his back, literally with the case of Liam. With these tips and words of encouragement, he felt like one powerful Chad man and he was ready to confess his feelings! The doubts that clouded his mind before were now gone as he shook off the feeling of guilt from having broke his morality away, who cares if he loved her? That's all that matters anyways!A wave of determination washed over Lincoln as he stood up in motivation.

"Thanks guys! I think I'm ready to tell her, tonight!" With that everybody cheered for him as Clyde patted him on the back, satisfied that his friend now looked less miserable and distressed.

Just then, Rusty dried his throat before changing the topic. "Speaking of which, what does she look like?" He asked, smiling widely and curiously.

The atmosphere went from light to heavy in a second. Anticipation clouded the atmosphere of the group of Lincoln's friends as he himself felt anxiety and fear. He didn't wanna lie, but he didn't wanna say either! But if he didn't open up, he was sure they'd suspect something.

Sweat fell on his forehead as his friends quietly waited for him to say something, anything! Most of them probably thought it was some classmate of theirs, but they knew that Lincoln was close enough to openly tell her his feelings. What could he do? What should he say? The feeling in his stomach was getting stronger, he felt queasy and ready to puke. His heart thumped really fast against his ribs as it felt like it was gonna come out as his brain tried it's very best to move it's gears. To come up with an excuse! Anything!

But he couldn't, no matter what. Worst part was, he felt his friends getting impatient.

"I-" Just before he could ramble, Lincoln's saving grace appeared and the school bell rang, signaling the start of the first period.

And as they all scattered and arrange their seats to put it back where they once were, Lincoln thanked the Lord above for the distraction. He could think about what he was gonna say later, but for now…

It was time to plan.

...Right after he ran to Mr.Bolhofner's room, otherwise he'd probably have a very awkward encounter with a certain someone.
