Chapter 1

- Rumors of theirs deaths have been, 'greatly' exaggerated -

Anakin Skywalker paused to lift his eyebrows. The Bad Batch were already trooping towards the ship ready to begin their mission. The plan was set. But perhaps not.

A shuttle swooped low, the wind kicking up in a gale as it touched down directly beside their own. He felt Rex and Jesse hesitate at his back, It was no mistake that it's arrival clearly concerned them.

"Well, who could this be?" the General mused as the shuttle landed, rocking on its suspension.

"Are we expecting more company sir?" Rex asked evenly.

"None I'm aware of'' Anakin admitted, setting off towards it. The shuttle hiss sharply as the pressure released and dropped it's boarding ramp. The occupants descended immediately in quick, efficient fashion.

Three in total, the Clones lined up to greet him as he approached. They were clearly ARC troopers by their armor, accented in the teal markings of their battalion. He didn't recognise any of them by memory, the personal touches to their armor tugged a memory but he couldn't place it.

"Well, this is a surprise" Anakin announced as they saluted him, "what can I do for you gentleman?"

"A message," the Captain replied, stepping forward, "from general Myris, sir!" The light roll of an accent in his voice tapped the Jedi's memory teasingly. He rolled it over in his thoughts as the Clone produced a portable holo projector from his belt and handed it over.

"Myris?" Anakin replied in mild surprise, "isn't she stationed in the out Outer rim?"

"Yes, sir" the trooper replied, "she sent us as soon as she heard of your rescue mission." The mission? What could she possibly have to do with rescuing Echo? Anakin thought to himself. It wasn't making much sense, sending clones to deliver a message instead of by holo, was the information so valuable she didn't want to risk contacting him through the fleet? He shuffled the questions aside and lifted the holo projector out in front of him.

"Right, let's see what this is about then" he decided, tapping the projector. The link established faster than he expected and with a scramble of static the jedi appeared in front of him. Hooded in an unremarkable set of Jedi robes, Master Myris bowed her greeting.

"It appears my troopers have reached you in time, I feared they might arrive too late." She said, he was about to reply in kind when she continued

"I'll cut to the chase Skywalker". The image jittered as the general shifted and it became clear she was on move, a datapad in hand. "I'm sending them to join your team for the exctracti-". Anakin's eyes widened in surprise and he bent forward to fix her with a scowl.

"Hey now! Hang on. You can't just-" He cut in.

"You should also know, this is a pre-recorded message and not a direct call. Because I know you're already arguing," the holo image continued undeterred, flicking at something on her datapad and Anakin stopped, a touch of red catching his ears. He straightened, "Well, it's not like she outranks me, the final decision is still mine." Anakin remarked, twisting to toss a shrug in his mens direction.

Like clockwork the holo in his hand added a "I've also gotten the green light from the council to include them in your mission". Someone stifled a chuckle and Anakin's eyes cut towards the assembled line of men, but they were solid as concrete. The traitor among them is unclear.

"I would have liked to join you in person, but the siege on Makeb is taking longer than I had hoped." The holo Myris paused in her work and looked back at the recorder, meeting Anakin's gaze despite only being a recording. Anakin caught the hardness in her eyes ease, shoulders dropping slightly. "I know in the end you'll decide who goes, orders or not. Most of it's just for paperwork" she admitted, "But, you should take them Anakin, this means more to the Dominoes than you or I. Please think on that." the general included her head and the recording stuttered, ending with a snap.

"Dominos?" Rex echoed, turning to assembled three. Their ranking officer stepped forward with a nod, reaching for his helmet.

"Cutup?" Jesse grinned, breaking regulation as the familiar tattooed face appeared, the patterned rishi worm that curved up the side of his shaved temple unmistakable, looping a wide curve around the back of his ear before it vanished under his collar.

"Aye, brother," he nodded sharply. Eyes shifted naturally, to the two troopers beside him. The nearest's helmet featured a hook painted in black that stood bold against teal markings of the 907th battalion. The second had a scratched ring of letters that read 'If It Goes Boom!' painted along the rim of his helmet.

"Bait? Hevy?" Rex asked, looking from one arc trooper to the next, barely recognizing them in the new armor. The pair nodded sternly but remained at silent attention.

"With all due respect General" Cutup straightened his back, regaining the group's attention. "Echo isn't just our brother or batchmate. His family. The Domino squad wants him back.

The Dominos deserved better guys!
Im adding to this if its Hevy breaking Crosshairs jaw, or them finding Echo. But right now idk?
