INT. SUBWAY CAR – DAY

Rachel, Mercedes & Santana rush onto a waiting subway car and find seats opposite each other. They sit and look nervously at each other. A slight hint of colour peeks out underneath their coats which cover most of their dresses.

RACHEL

(looks at watch)

We're going to be late! Everyone will be there waiting and we're going to be the last ones to show up. I never should have let you stop for coffee Santana.

SANTANA

(sips her coffee and rolls her eyes)

Like you could have stopped me you pocket-sized troll.

(Rachel gasps horrified)

MERCEDES

Ladies come on, today is all about love. Can't you be nice to each other for at least one day.

RACHEL

Fine (sighs dramatically)[sarcastically) I'm an actress, I can act like I'm pleased I'm going to miss one of the most important events of the year!

SANTANA

Oh please, like this is anything to get excited about. It happens all the time.

RACHEL

Not to our friends it doesn't. Can't you just be happy for someone other than yourself.

SANTANA

Fine – but the first time they burst into song unexpectedly I'm bringing out the gin

(taps her clutch bag)

MERCEDES

I can't believe this is finally happening. I just hope we're not too late!

(Santana draws a look)

Sorry – I'm just saying!

SANTANA

They love a show – they're not going to start until everyone is there. Here's our stop.

(girls stand as train pulls into station)

EXT. BUSY STREET OUTSIDE NYADA – DAY

Rachel, Mercedes & Santana cross a busy road and greet Carole Hudson-Hummel on the other side.

CAROLE

I didn't think you'd make it in time!

MERCEDES

Sorry Mrs H, the-erm-the train was late

(glances at Rachel & Santana)

CAROLE

Well you're here now, come on, Kurt's dying to see you all!

TITLE CARD IN SIGNATURE WEDDING COLOURS "GLEE"

ACT ONE

FADE IN:

INT. NYADA AUDITORIUM – DAY

Orchestra plays intro of "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing"

Familiar faces amongst guests including glee club members. Floral arrangements in signature colours line two aisles which merge under a balloon arch. The waiting JP nods to the 4 piece orchestra behind her. Camera pans up aisle 1 where door opens and Blaine walks out with his mum and dad on each arm. Tina & Sam walk behind linked by the arm. Blaine begins to walk down the aisle and starts to sing:

BLAINE:

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing

Watch you smile while you are sleeping

While you're far away and dreaming

I could spend my life in this sweet surrender

I could stay lost in this moment forever

Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure

Door at end of other aisle opens and Kurt appears with his dad and Carole on each arm. Rachel and Elliot are behind him linked at the arm.

KURT:

As Kurt & Blaine reach the altar at the same time, they smile and Kurt continues to sing:

BLAINE:

(whispers) You look amazing

(Kurt chuckles nervously)

KURT:

(whispers) So do you

Kurt & Blaine hold hands as they turn to face the Justice of the Peace. Rachel & Elliot stand to Kurt's left. Sam & Tina stand to Blaine's right. The parents take their seats in empty seats in the front row.

JP:

We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of Kurt Elizabeth Hummel and Blaine Devon Anderson. Blaine has asked if we could keep the singing to a minimum during the service – Kurt has a habit of breaking out into song!

(crowds laughs quietly as Kurt and Blaine smile softly at each other)

JP:

Love shows itself in different ways and we are here today because love found itself in Kurt & Blaine. Two souls destined to find each other and bind themselves together for eternity. Every couple has a moment where they realise what has been missing – for Kurt it was the spark of Blaine's first touch whilst for Blaine it was a melodic eulogy. Both of these men found their one true love and despite their ups and downs have made it here today to declare their love in front of you all and to bind themselves to each other.

Blaine and Kurt have asked to say their own vows.

(JP nods to Blaine)

BLAINE:

Kurt, I have always loved you. I love that you sing show tunes when you cook breakfast and I love that you get passionate about animal shaped brooches. I promise that I will never use your moisturiser. I will always give you my ear warmers when you're cold. I promise to spend every day of the rest of our lives making you feel the same way I do when I look in your eyes. I promise to love you every moment of forever.

[Blaine takes a ring out of his pocket. Close up shows B"heart"K. Blaine slides the ring onto Kurt's finger]

BLAINE:

Until the end of time.

KURT:

When you took my hand on the Dalton Staircase just seconds after we met I knew I never wanted to let it go. You reminded me that I deserve to be loved and you make me feel loved everyday. I love the way you rest your chin on your hands when you're thinking and that you have a bowtie for every outfit. I promise to love you forever and I will spend the rest of my life making you as happy as you've made me.

[Kurt takes a ring out of his own pocket. Close up shows K"heart"B. Kurt slides the ring onto Blaine's finger]

KURT:

Until the end of time.

JP:

By the power invested in me by the great state of New York, I now pronounce you husband and husband.

As Blaine and Kurt kiss to seal their union, the guests stand to cheer and clap. Both sets of parents look on lovingly and Carole wipes a tear from her eye. Blaine's father puts an arm around his mother's shoulder. The camera pans over the guests then focuses on Blaine and Kurt who are still kissing. They pull apart smiling widely at each other.

KURT:

We did it!

BLAINE:

Legally mine! Forever!

KURT:

Forever!

[Blaine and Kurt kiss briefly]

JP:

May I present Mr & Mr Hummel-Anderson.

[Blaine & Kurt turn to face their friends and family and receive a standing ovation]

INT RECEPTION ROOM - DAY

Large reception room filled with round tables covered with white table cloths. Centrepieces of coloured flowers in cylindrical vases filled with coloured sand – use of signature colours combined together. At one end of the room is a dance floor with a piano and the strings from the service.

RACHEL

Hey Mr Hummel-Anderson! Where's your gorgeous new husband?

KURT:

(smiles and puts down his baby cupcake)

Hey! He's in the bathroom. You've got the try these baby cupcakes – they're to die for! You having fun?

(licks icing from his fingers)

RACHEL:

Yeah of course. Kurt this is fantastic

(looks around)I can't believe you did all this yourself.

You really need to become a wedding planner.

KURT:

I don't think so Rachel. Nothing could be better than this one so why disappoint people?

(both laugh then Kurt looks up as Blaine walks past the table avoiding eye contact) Hey, where's Blaine going?

Blaine walks past the table looking nervous and avoiding eye contact with Kurt. Kurt stands up but Rachel puts a hand on his arm to stop him. She looks up and smiles tenderly at her friend. Kurt sits back down as Blaine takes his place at the piano.

BLAINE:

(clears throat nervously)

Hi everyone. Kurt, I know you said you didn't want to sit down while I sing to you but I figured today would be the exception (starts to play slowly)

I love you so much Kurt and I can't wait for the rest of our lives to start.

Blaine begins to play the piano

BLAINE:

While Blaine plays, camera focuses on Kurt, Rachel & the couples amongst the guests. Guests clap loudly as camera focuses on Kurt who is still sitting teary-eyed at the table. Kurt blows a kiss and mouths "Thank you")

Blaine crosses the room and offers Kurt his hand as "Crazy in Love" starts. Onstage Rachel & Mercedes begin to sing.

Kurt & Blaine are at their table. Kurt is eating a mini-muffin and Blaine is looking at him lovingly, his chin resting on his hand.

What? Now? But-

(Kurt looks at the remainder of his mini-muffin which is dropped onto the plate
as Blaine takes his free hand and pulls him to the stage)

Kurt is still licking his fingers and Blaine passes him a microphone.

KURT

What are we singing?

BLAINE

Oh, you'll know it when you hear it!

Blaine smiles coyly and nods to the piano player. Kurt smiles as he hears the intro to "When You're Gone"

KURT:

I always needed time on my own
I never thought I'd need you there when I cry

SUE

(Approaches Kurt & Blaine and speaks gently)(Looks at Kurt) Porcelain, (Looks at Blaine) Helmet-head (Blaine rolls his eyes) Even thought the idea of you both spending the rest of your lives together as a married couple gives me graphic mental pictures of the two of you dancing around your suburban middle-class, white picket-fenced house in pink tutus gelling each others' hair into smoother gel-mets while your adopted children look on in horror at the sheer volume of product required to achieve such a style, I sincerely wish you all the happiness possible.

BLAINE:

Um, thanks Ms Sylvester

KURT:

Thank you (looks over her shoulder)

Where's Robin?

SUE:

I left her with homeless guy outside. The amount of hair product in here might scar her for life and I won't expose my child to that

(winks and walks away)

BLAINE:

I never know when she's kidding!

KURT:

The wonder of Coach Sue! (smiles)

They look over and see Sue lift Robin from her stroller – they are both in matching tracksuits with corsages on their left wrists.

Kurt & Blaine move onto the dance floor

MALE(O.S)

Um, hey, can I cut in?

(Kurt & Blaine turn to see David Karofsky. Blaine visibly tenses. Kurt pats his arm reassuringly)

KURT:

David, you made it! (smiles warmly)

DAVID:

Yeah, thanks for inviting me. (looks around) This is amazing!

KURT:

Thanks. You remember my husband (Smiling, Kurt "presents" Blaine who is blushing)

DAVID:

Yeah, congrats man (shakes Blaines hand) Is it ok if I dance with Kurt?

BLAINE:

(nods) Of course (looks over David's shoulder) I think Santana's threat of packing her purse with gin was followed through!

(Camera focuses on Santana who is pouring a clear liquid into her glass)

BLAINE:

(kisses Kurt's cheek) I'll talk to her

David & Kurt start dancing

KURT:

So how are you David?

DAVID:

I'm good. My parents homeschooled me for the last of my senior year so I still got my GED.
I'm at college in Florida now where nobody cares who you like. I'm finally happy (smiles) and I have you to thank.

KURT:

(shakes head modestly)

I didn't do anything

DAVID:

You did. You made me focus on something that could make me happy and made me believe I deserved it.

I-um-I brought someone today (looks at Kurt nervously)

KURT:

Really? Is it a-I mean are you-

DAVID:

(laughs quietly and smiles)Yes, HE is over there talking to Rachel

(Kurt looks)

KURT:

He's cute!

DAVID:

I think I'm in love Kurt – and not like gorilla-suit-secret-admirer in love – really in love.

KURT:

I'm so happy you found someone David. You really do deserve to be happy.

What's his name?

DAVID:

Simon. He's the quarterback at Florida State – that's how we met.

(Simon looks up and notices Kurt & David looking over. He smiles widely and waves.

Kurt and David hold their hands up in response. David turns to Kurt)

DAVID:

Congratulations Kurt (hugs Kurt) Who knows – maybe you'll be at my wedding sometime in the future.

KURT:

I hope so!

(David pats Kurt's shoulder and walks over to Simon, hugs him and they both move on the the dance floor)

Kurt folds his arms and smiles. Blaine comes up behind him and wraps his arms around Kurt's waist

BLAINE:

You did that

KURT:

What? No, David found his own happiness – just like I found mine.

(Kurt turns to face Blaine and rest his arms on Blaine's shoulders)

BLAINE:

You did that. You helped him and befriended him when no-one else would after everything he did. You're amazing. (Kurt looks down modestly). I love you.

KURT:

(smiles) I love you too.

BLAINE:

Listen, I hate to bring the dark clouds to this party but I think you should talk to Santana.

KURT:

What? Why?

BLAINE:

There's something wrong and I think she'd respond better to someone she's known longer. (hesitates) Kurt, she's drinking...a lot

KURT:

I'll talk to her.

(looks up and sees Santana heading to the bar)

CUT TO:

INT. BAR IN RECEPTION VENUE – NIGHT

SANTANA:

Gin & tonic

BARTENDER:

ID?

SANTANA:

I have it here somewhere (looks in purse)

(mutters) Where is it?

BARTENDER:

Is this it? (holds up Santana's fake ID) Doesn't really look like you Ms Garcia

SANTANA:

Wait-What? (gets angry) I just want a drink (brings out a 20 bill) So are you going to give me it or not?

Kurt sees this and rushes over.

KURT:

Santana, can I speak to you? (gestures) over here?

(Santana reluctantly follows Kurt)

SANTANA:

What do you want pale boy?

KURT:

I want you to stop drinking. It's getting too much Santana.

What's going on with you?

SANTANA:

(sighs and slides down the wall to sit on the floor)

I don't know. I had all these big dreams of how my life was going to be and none of it has turned out the way it was supposed to. What am I meant to do with that?

KURT:

Santana, you live in one of the greatest cities on the planet, you have amazing friends and a good job. If there's something missing then go out and find it – the Santana I know wouldn't let this get on top of her. The Santana I know would find out what was wrong, go out there and kick ass trying to change it.

SANTANA:

I guess – I just feel lost. I don't know where I'm supposed to be going anymore.

KURT:

So take time and go find out but you need to stop drinking so much.

It's not good for you.

SANTANA:

(sighs) You're right, even if you are really annoying and squeaky, you're right.

Santana pushes herself up using Kurt's knee and holds out her hand to help him up. They smile at each other softly and Santana heads back towards the main room – taking an empty bottle from her purse and dropping it in the bin before walking into the main room.

ACT THREE

FADE IN:

EXT. BUSY STREET OUTSIDE RECEPTION ROOM – NIGHT

Sam & Artie see Tina standing outside. Her face is tear-stained and she holds a letter from Brown in her hands. With her back to Sam & Artie she doesn't see them approach.

SAM

Tina? Are you OK?

TINA

(wipes her face quickly and turns to face Sam & Artie)

Um, yeah, I'm fine. (sniffs)

ARTIE:

No you're not. What's wrong?

Tina hands Artie the letter.

ARTIE

(reads aloud)

"Dear Ms Cohen-Chang, despite a slight improvement in your grades this semester, you are not currently achieving the standards we at Brown expect from our students. You are required to leave your dormitory within 10 days of receiving this letter..."

(Tina begins to cry again)

TINA

It was so hard and I tried, I really did

(Sam wraps Tina in a hug and strokes her hair soothingly)

I spent hours in the library and it didn't get any easier.

SAM

It's ok, you'll come live with me & Artie. We'll help you figure something out.

TINA

You don't get it Sam (Tina pushes Sam away)

I have no college education. What type of job am I going to get?

ARTIE:

You don't need to worry about that just now Tina. Let us help you and take some time to figure out what you want to do. You don't need to have all the answers.

TINA

I guess. Thanks guys. (hugs Sam & Artie) Wait – don't you guys live with Rachel, Kurt & Blaine?

The loft isn't big enough for all of us!

SAM

I wouldn't worry about Kurt & Blaine

(Tina looks puzzled) You'll find out

(Sam winks)Trust me – we have space for you, even if you want it to just be temporary.

ARTIE:

So what do you say?

TINA

(pause) I guess I say...can you help me move my stuff?

Tina, Sam & Artie hug and turn to head back inside

INT. RECEPTION ROOM – NIGHT

All guests are seated, Burt Hummel stands in the middle of the dance floor holding a microphone in one hand and a champagne flute in the other.

BURT

Evening everybody. I'm Burt, I'm Kurt's dad. Thank you all for coming today. I'm so proud that Kurt has so many friends. I've always known that Kurt was different and I remember one time when he was 5, we were watching "The Little Mermaid" and he turned to me and said he hoped that one day he would find his own prince. Kurt told me that the only person he wanted to marry when he grew up was someone who would protect him, love him and keep him safe. Blaine, I'm so proud he found his prince. Kurt has never been afraid to be himself and sometimes that hasn't always worked out for the best. I'm so happy that Kurt found his soulmate in you Blaine. Welcome to the family, son. Please raise your glasses (raises his glass) The princes who found each other – to Kurt and Blaine

GUESTS

Kurt & Blaine

Burt crosses the floor and hugs Kurt tightly. The guests begin to clap. Blaine claps and Burt pulls him into the hug.

CAROLE

Before we turn the floor back over to Kurt & Blaine's amazing singing friends, we just wanted to take this opportunity to give them their wedding present.

Camera goes to Burt who is handing Kurt a small rectangular box with a bow on it.

CAROLE

Kurt, Blaine, you are both sons to me and this is from your father and me. Congratulations and we hope this will help get you off to the best possible start.

Kurt opens the box and finds a key with a luggage tag attached which has an address written on it

KURT

(looks confused) What?

(turns to Blaine)

BLAINE:

(looks at Burt)

You bought us a house?

BURT:

We sure did, son. Congratulations!

Camera goes to Tina & Sam

SAM:

I told you not to worry about the space!

Back to Kurt, Blaine & Burt

KURT:

Dad, this is too much

BURT:

Say thank you, Kurt, and enjoy being a newly-wed!

Kurt hugs his dad tightly as the camera pans to the stage where Artie, Sam & Elliot are standing with their backs to the room as the intro starts. Boyband dancing through the song.

SAM:

Blaine, Rachel & Mercedes are standing together at the side of the dance floor talking.

Evening everybody! I just wanted to thank you all for coming today and sharing such a special day with me and Blaine. Dad, Mom – we can't thank you enough for your amazingly generous gift. Blaine – you've made me the happiest man on earth today and now its time for you to sit down and be serenaded.

Cut to Blaine who laughs gently and takes the seat Rachel offers him.

As the music fades, Blaine crosses the floor and hugs Kurt tightly as their friends, family and guests applaud.

EXT. New York Street outside NYADA.

A yellow cab waits at the bottom of the stairs. The guests have assembled to form two lines. Kurt & Blaine wave and run down the stairs hand in hand as their friends and family throw confetti & streamers. They pause by the taxi, wave goodbye and get into the cab. The car pulls away and as Kurt & Blaine share a kiss, the camera focuses on a "Just Married" sign on the back of the cab.
