Slaughter in Antarctica at the hands of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named leaves an international incident brewing.
As if the announcement of an attack of Nurmengard and the release of Gellert Grindelwald Yesterday wasn't bad enough, it turns out that You-Know-Who was in Antarctica for reasons unknown.
One thing we can confirm is that he wasn't there to go on holiday as evidenced by the large hole melted into the continent by a gratuitous usage of Fiendfyre.
It is currently unknown why he would go to Antarctica in the first place but his actions have breached something known as The Antarctic Treaty which aims to regulate international relations with respect to Antarctica, Earth's only continent without a native human population.
One of the specifics involves the complete demilitarisation of the continent, which his actions last night directly breached. It is likely that as a result of this treachery we will be dragged into a meeting of the International Confederation of Wizards to discuss the pacification of You-Know-Who and his men.
Last year this reporter warned of Civil War breaking out however it appears that the situation is growing more and more uncontrollable. Add to this the disappearance of Harry Potter and it looks like the future of Britain is at its most uncertain.
I would like to take this opportunity to address Harry Potter personally, if you are reading this paper then I beg you to please return to Britain, I understand that you are sick of fighting this war, however I know that you will be able to help boost our morale and organise our resistance against Voldemort.
I know that by publicly supporting Harry Potter and condemning the actions of Voldemort, as well as writing his name, I am probably forfeiting my life to the Death Eaters and so, with that in mind, I personally challenge Lord Voldemort himself to be the one to kill me.
Any future articles written by me will be a sign of how inept Voldemort really is.
/_-_^_^_/
There had been ten articles written by the Daily Prophet journalist since he had called Voldemort out, inspiring alarmed number of accusations that he wasn't mentally stable if he thought challenging the Dark Lord was a good idea.
Harry was consulting his friends about what he should do, knowing that Voldemort would be wise to his deception already and hunting him relentlessly. Most of his friends and allies suggested that he should remain hidden, with Marvolo and Gellert believing that he should reveal that he is back in Britain.
"If we reveal that close to our home base then we will be leading Voldemort directly to us, however if we reveal that Harry is in Britain but do so in an area that is as far away as possible from where we are now, it will result in the death of many innocent civilians." Neville argued Gellert's point, earning a bit of respect from the man who assumed he was too spineless to speak up for himself.
"You wish to win this war without casualties?" Gellert questioned. "Next you'll tell me that you wish to learn to fly without a broom or carpet."
"Harry can fly without a broom or carpet." Theo responded dryly, bored at the arguing that was happening around him. "I believe he is the first wizard to do so in history, probably the only as well."
"Balderdash, nobody can fly unsupported, it is impossible-" Gellert tried to argue, falling silent upon witnessing Harry rising off the ground.
"You were saying?" Harry questioned cheekily.
"This is truly wonderful, to see a person flying under their own magic. I never thought I would see the day." Grindelwald sputtered, becoming awestruck for the first time in his life.
"Gellert, have you ever heard of Elementals?" Blaise asked the old man.
"It is nothing but a children's story." He dismissed, paying attention to Harry and only Harry.
"You're in the presence of more than one Elemental." Blaise countered, tearing Grindelwald's attention away from the flying teen.
"Prove it." Gellert challenged.
"Easily." Blaise responded, smirking at the former Dark Lord as he wandlessly opened the window and pulled a large chunk of rock in through the now open window. With the large bit of rock Blaise began to sculpt Gellert's face out of the formless boulder.
"Most interesting." Gellert responded, rising to his feet and leaving the meeting to think.
/_^_^_-/
"Are you the leader of the Elementals?" Grindelwald asked Blaise a few hours after their discussion had ended.
"That depends on how you classify leadership, for a long time I was the only Elemental and have trained with my element since I was a child. I'm not the most powerful Elemental alive, that honour goes to Elias, Harry and Dudley's brother, even though we control different elements, I know he is the most powerful Elemental I've encountered so far."
"Are you knowledgeable enough to teach me?"
"I am, though I don't know what element calls most to you."
"We can figure that out in time. Are you willing to teach me?"
"I don't see why not, you are an ally after all."
"It's nice to see that some people here can produce logical thoughts, there is a red-haired lad who spouts such utter nonsense and I cannot stand it."
"I would politely ask you to not insult my friends." Blaise responded angrily, the ground around him shaking.
"My apologies, I shall make sure to think before I speak in future, especially where it concerns the friends of my allies."
"If you are able to do that then I will have no issue training you, in exchange for some of your knowledge."
"Deal." Grindelwald responded with a smile, shaking Blaise's hand before rising to leave, saying that he wished to discuss something with a wolf.

"He is quite mad, but in an awe-inspiring way. You can definitely tell that he was the most feared man in the world at one point." Harry said to Blaise when the latter asked his opinion of the Dark Lord they had freed.
"He seems like he could kill you in an instant if the mood hit him, I'd rather not get on his bad side."
"Are you two talking about Grindelwald?" Tonks inquired as she entered the room.
"Yeah, what do you think of him?" Harry responded.
"Honestly? He seems to have a lot of respect for anyone who can wield magic, though his history of wanting to enslave Muggles doesn't sit well with me. Anyway that isn't why I came in here, Neville has told me to tell you that dinner is ready."
"Has our new ally returned yet?" Harry asked his cousin, who informed him that Gellert was waiting in the kitchen for the pair to join them.
