Settling In

It was a beautiful sunny Monday morning in the city of Magix.

A young 16-year-old girl with fuchsia hair in a pixie boy cut hairstyle and deep sea blue eyes walked up to the doors of a large brick school building.

The girl wasn't sure where she belonged, but at night, she had dreams about a silver chained pendant with a soft purple gem in its center.

The pendant was in the Magix History Museum.

The brick building had a girls' side and a boys' side to it.

The girl had her nose in a book and was really focused on it.

The girl wore a vest-like crop top that was half-lilac, half-lime green (the two halves being separated by a white line that ran across the middle horizontally) with a lime green collar, lilac flared-fitted cropped pants with lime green stripes that ran vertically down the sides, lilac and lime green striped socks, lilac-colored platform heels, and small silver pearl earrings.

Since she wasn't watching where she was going, the girl bumped into someone.

A tall boy with burgundy spiked hair and violet eyes wearing a a white muscle midriff shirt with maroon pants and matching sneakers gave her a warning glance.

"Oh! Sorry," the girl said. "I didn't mean to run into you!"

"Hey, Babe! You're on the wrong side of the school! This is the boys' campus!" the boy teased, trying to flirt with the girl.

The girl could feel herself growing red in the face as the boy grabbed her by the hand.

"Hey," the girl yelled. "get your hands off me!"

"Oh, come on, Pretty Thing," the boy said. "why do you resist me so?"

"My name is Tecna! And, like I said before," Tecna snapped at her pursuer. "get your hands off me!"

Another boy saw Tecna kick her burgundy haired captor in the groin area, making him lose his grip on her.

The witness was a boy with a tanned complexion, deep blue eyes that could see the truth about a person, his very long brown hair was tied into a single braid, and he wore an outfit closely resembling traditional Chinese clothing but lacked the silky designs.

The witness wore a purple turtle neck, elbow length tunic that was decorated with yellow stripes, the tunic actually extended further down to the knee, outlined with thick, yellow lines and was split open on both sides, he had a thick red cloth tied onto his waist, purple sweats, and white shoes.

Tecna ran and hid behind her rescuer's back.

"Riven! If you lay a finger on this girl," the witness threatened. "then, I am going to tell Musa that you are a two-timer!"

"You wouldn't dare, Nabu!" Riven exclaimed.

"Try me, Riven!" Nabu exclaimed.

Riven just turned and left.

Tecna turned to Nabu, "Thanks for the save, I'm Tecna by the way." she introduced.

"The daughter of Cordatorta? That changes everything," Nabu exclaimed. "you can visit this side without permission from Headmaster Saladin!"

"That's just it," Tecna told Nabu. "I thought I was Cordatorta's daughter, but according to the glowing pendant in the museum... I'm not all that certain."

"Let's not talk about this right now," Nabu said to Tecna. "because, we need to get you to the girls' campus!"

Upon arrival at the girls' campus, Tecna said good bye to Nabu and he rode back to the boys' campus on his motorbike.

Tecna found out that she had to share a suite with five other girls.

Tecna soon found out that one of the girls was her roommate.

Tecna went into one of the bedrooms to settle in and wait for her roommate.

Tecna set up her palmtop computer on her desk, when a red haired girl with blue eyes, wearing a teal sleeveless cropped sweatshirt with dark blue trim and a pale yellow short sleeved shirt underneath, blue slightly flared jeans that had stars on the bottom of the legs, and a pair of yellow wedge sandals with straps over the instep entered the bedroom with her bags in hand.

The girl put her bags on her bed and began to unpack.

"My name is Bloom, I'm new here," Bloom said to Tecna, putting her clothes in the wardrobe on her side of the room. "what's your name?"

"I'm Tecna, I'm new here too," Tecna said. "nice to meet you too, Bloom."

Bloom and Tecna were beginning to hit things off.
