Hey ya'll Texas Forever fan back with another new FNL story! This story was a prompt from a reader - who wished to remain anonymous - for a 100 chaptered story. This was a huge challenge for me, but I am so glad that I decided to pursue this opportunity. This story is also a drama fest and definitely a 180 from One Beer.

Since I plan on this being a longer story, I will be posting two chapters at a time and they will be shorter chapters.

Takes place about 6 years after season 5 finale.

Julie took a deep breath as she sealed up the envelope. Am I doing the right thing? She wondered. Yeah, yeah I am. It's better this way. She placed the sealed envelope addressed to Matt on the bed that they had once shared. She took one last look around the small studio apartment and headed out the door. When she pulled the door shut, she quickly jetted back in. She removed the key to the apartment from her key ring and laid it on Matt's night stand. As quick as she had entered back in she was pulling the door shut once again. She walked down the narrow staircase, taking in the smells pouring in from the coffee shop under their - no Matt's - apartment. She exited the staircase and entered the busy Chicago sidewalk. She walked to the nearest bus stop, stuck in her thoughts.

I didn't actually love him. We were just two dumb high schoolers. He was the one who left to come here in the first place, I chased him up here and basically invited myself. It was almost like she was having to convince herself that her decision to leave Matt and move to Pennsylvania with her parents was the right decision. They had been fighting a lot recently, and he was constantly taking work trips to art museums across the country. He was never home, Julie just sat in their - no his - tiny apartment and watched the busy Chicago street from their large picture window and edit news drafts for the newspaper she was working for. They had been on and off the past six years, breaking off their engagement three different times. After every engagement break off, Julie would leave for a couple months, then she would return back and they would pick back up where they left off. Their relationship was toxic to say the least, and just leaving was a huge burden off her shoulders. She walked to the bus stop with a lighter step. She hopped on the bus which would be taking her to O'Hare airport. She had used her last paycheck to buy a one way ticket from Chicago to Philadelphia.

She had been planning this moment for more than a month. Matt had left for some gallery in San Francisco, and she had had enough. Actually, no one knew her plans, not her mom, not her dad, not Matt. She was hoping her parents and Gracie would be supportive of her decision when she arrived in Pittsburg in just a few hours. Her dad was right when he said they were too young to get married when they got engaged the first time, she should have listened then instead of wasting six years of her life. She arrived at the airport and located the gate for her flight. She eventually got on her plane and picked a window seat. She put in her headphones and opened the shade on the window, looking out on the skyline feeling like she was making the right decision.

Ding! Julie rang the doorbell on the large Pennsylvania home owned by the Taylor's. Julie occasionally visited, so it wasn't her first time to come to the home, but this time would be different. This time it was more permanent. Tami Taylor opened the door to her home which revealed her daughter standing on the porch with two large bags.

"Hi mom," Julie said with a smile. Tami's face was shocked, she had been expecting a package or a neighbor, not her eldest daughter.

"Julie!" She greeted. "Come on in. What are you doing here?"

"I decided I'd come see the family, stay for a while," Julie responded. "Where's Gracie and Dad?"

"Gracie is in her room, grounded. She may be worse as a teenager than you were," Tami said rolling her eyes. "Dad is having after-school football practice."

"Ah," Julie responded. "So what'd Gracie do?" Julie inquired.

"She got caught skipping class," Tami said.

"What? In eighth grade?" Julie asked.

"Yeah, her and a few other girls skipped last hour,"

"She's 14, what did they do while they skipped?" Julie asked. She only skipped class once to go shopping with Tyra, which ended up causing her mom to forcer her to play on the powderpuff team as punishment.

"They got an uber to the mall," Tami answered.

"Are you serious? They know how to get an uber at 14."

"Well, some freshman and sophomore girls were in on it too. There were like fifteen of them that skipped and went to the mall," Tami explained. "Honestly wouldn't mind moving back to Dillon so she's in a smaller school, the kids here are wild and undisciplined. I've been thinking about maybe finding a christian school to go to."

Hope ya'll enjoyed.
