Hi! When I was little I always wanted to be a writer, nothing else. About 8 years ago, when I was only 11, I was a very active writer here, especially in SYOC stories. There was even a point when I was writing 3 SYOCs all at once. But then I got the idea in my head that I couldn't publish anything unless it was literally perfect. I put more pressure on myself, took down everything I had already published, and stopped writing altogether because I believed I was incapable of writing anything worth reading. Now, at almost 20 years old, I'm looking to open myself back up and just start writing for fun again. So, I figure, why not return to the only story that I ever really felt passionate about?
This story will share the same premise as the first season of Total Drama, and most of the challenges will probably be similar, but it will be set in the present and with an all-new cast, submitted by you!
First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who submitted a character. I received nearly 100 applications in total, and there were many characters that I really did love, but unfortunately could not include as I wanted to make the most dynamic, and cohesive cast I possibly could to set myself up for a truly great story. I hope that everyone sticks along as the beginning of the story dawns before us.
As for when to expect the first chapter, I, unfortunately, can not say. I am an adult with a full-time job and a social life. This is not and never will be my main priority, so writing this with at the quality I intend to will take quite some time. I understand that, in the SYOC community, this is often the point in which stories are abandoned and never returned to, but I promise, I already have a lot of plans for the story, at least up to the merge, and rich subplots for as many characters as reasonably possible.
